I wouldn't necessarily quit right away, but would start the process of change. Start thinking almost what you might want to do or even avoid. Get the research going. Ask. Look. Talk. Check out the employment ads and start posting your resume. Get it into the hand of recruiters that know how to search for the commission or work you want. If you jump too briskly, you may find that it's not that easy to merely start something new, and it may bring a lot longer than you focus. You may also need to re-educate or re-train, which is something you could do at hours of darkness while still working. I think it's prudent to avoid getting into trouble if you jump too thoughtlessly. At least, that's my style.
Keep working and good. It sounds like you are unbelievably responsible but bored. Find a hobby to look forward to when you get home. I would love to be that very well off.

You may have to volunteer near them for some time for them to get to know you and see if you are compatible next to them. Kind of like an extended chore interview.
