Every meeting we own is a test of my staying awake expertise
Once fell asleep whilst reading a story to a class of 5 year olds. Luckily they stayed until I woke.
When I was at Uni i get fired from french connection for sleeping surrounded by the stockroom.. What can i say? it be the morning after the last hours of daylight of the year!!
Yes quite regularly.. but heard it is going to be a serious wrong as per law..
I tend to nod stale fairly regularly, as I enjoy an office near a door which can be closed. But actually napping during work is probably a doomed to failure idea (they tend to fire folks for that).

How does submarines work?
Question:
Answer:
They have 'ballast' tank - Water intake causes them to sink - Air blown into the tank causes them to rise.
Other than that - they are really complex and technical machines.
If you're claustrophobic - don't progress in one !
Wrong heading for this press... Go get a book.
First they are built and solidity added so that they are almost neutrally buoyant (they a short time ago barely float). Then in attendance are tanks throughout the boat that can be occupied or emptied by pumps; when they are full the boat sinks express or slow depending how full. Also there are control surfaces resembling those on an airplane's wings and tail that allow the boat to steer not purely left and right, but also up and down while submerged.
All surface ships, as capably as surfaced submarines, are in a positively buoyant condition, weigh less than the volume of sea they displace. To submerge hydrostatically, a ship must gain negative buoyancy, any increasing its own weight or decreasing displacement of the hose. To control their weight, submarines are equipped near ballast tanks, which can be occupied with any outside water or pressurized nouns.
For general submersion or surfacing, submarines use the forward and aft tank, called Main Ballast Tanks or MBTs, which are open and completely filled beside water to submerge, or packed by pressurized air to surface. Under submerged conditions, MBTs unanimously always stay flooded, which simplifies their design, so on plentiful submarines these tanks are simply a partition of interhull space. For more precise and quick control of depth, submarines use smaller Depth Control Tanks or DCTs, also call hard tank due to their ability to withstand high pressure. The amount of water within depth control tanks can be controlled any to reflect change in outside conditions or amendment submersion depth. Depth control tanks can be located any near the submarine's focus of gravity, or separated along the submarine body to prevent affecting trim.
When submerged, the water pressure on submarine's hull can make 4 MPa for steel submarines and up to 10 MPa for titanium submarines like Komsomolets, while the pressure inside stays like. This difference results in hull compression, which decrease displacement. Water density also increases, as the salinity and pressure are higher, but this does not compensate for hull compression, so buoyancy falls next to depth. A submerged submarine is in an unstable equilibrium, have a tendency to any fall down to the the deep floor or float up to the surface. Keeping a constant depth requires continual operation of either the depth control tank or control surfaces.[1]
Submarines in a colourless buoyancy condition are not intrinsically stable in trim. To sustain desired trim, submarines use specialized forward and aft trim tank. Pumps can move water between these tank, changing the cargo distribution and therefore creating a moment to turn the sub upwards or downwards. A similar system is sometimes used to carry on stability.
Sail of the French nuclear submarine Casabianca; note the diving planes, cloaked masts, periscope, electronic warfare mast, door and windows.
The hydrostatic effect of changeable ballast tanks is not the merely way to control the submarine underwater. Hydrodynamic maneuvering is done by several surfaces, which can be turned to create corresponding hydrodynamic forces when a submarine moves at sufficient speed. The adjectives planes, located near the propeller and as a rule oriented horizontally, serve one and the same purpose as the trim tanks, controlling the trim, and are commonly used, while other control surfaces may not be present on tons submarines. The fairwater planes on the sail and/or bow planes on the chief body, both also horizontal, are located closer to the centre of gravity, and are used to control depth near less effect on the trim.
When a submarine perform an emergency surfacing, all depth and trim methods are used simultaneously, together beside propelling the boat upwards. Such surfacing is very expeditious, so the sub may even partially spring out of the water, but it inflicts serious defacement on some submarine systems, primarily pipes.
Modern submarines use an inertial guidance system for navigation while submerged, but drift error unavoidably builds up over time. To counter this, the Global Positioning System will occasionally be used to attain an accurate position. The periscope - a retractable tube with prisms allowing a prospect to the surface - is only used occasionally within modern submarines, since the range of visibility is short. The Virginia-class submarines enjoy "photonics masts" rather than hull-penetrating optical tube periscopes. These mast must still be hoisted above the surface, and employ electronic sensors for apparent light, infrared, laser range-finding, and electromagnetic surveillance.
Submarines are designed for use at great depths. Their rigid, double-walled hulls allow the crew to live and work generally underwater for as long as air and power supplies closing. Submarines are steered by turning a rudder left and right. A propeller moves the sub through the water--pushing against the marine and creating a forward force.
When an object is underwater, it pushes aside (or "displaces") an amount of hose down equal to its volume. Let's say we drop a small piece of wood into a bucket of dampen. When water is pushed aside by the wood, the marine pushes back. Buoyancy is the upward force of sea pushing against the wood.
An object floats if it displaces ample water to support its counterweight. Because the weight of our piece of wood equals the volume of marine it pushes aside, the wood floats. A rock sinks because it weighs more than the volume of sea it displaces. Subs don't sink because their metal shell (or "hull") surrounds a volume weighing smaller number than an equal amount of water.
Subs can sink, rise, and float underwater (maintain "impartial buoyancy"). Subs do all this by adjust the amount of water and nouns in their ballast tank. When the tanks are full of nouns, the sub weighs smaller number than the volume of water it displaces and it floats. When the ballast tank are flooded with sea, the sub weighs more than the river it displaces, and it sinks.
To rise again, the sub reduces its counterweight by pushing compressed air into the ballast tank. The air forces the ocean water out, and the sub go up toward the surface. To move beneath the surface and to hover, the amount of water contained by a submarine's ballast tanks is made equal to the bulk of the water it is displacing.
A submersible, call Alvin, was used to rest a hydrogen bomb accidentally dropped from an air force bomber stern in 1966.
Japan have a submersible called Kaiko that can dive over 11 kilometres. In 1994, Kaiko go down to the Mariana Trench--the deepest spot in the the deep!
While the largest submarines stretch up to almost 200 metres, the smallest working submarine, the Water Beetle, is only 2.7 metres long! It can be in motion down to 30 metres and stay underwater for four hours.
A deep-diving submarine used to explore the ocean is call a submersible. Submersibles are usually smaller than submarines. They are often equipped beside external cameras, manipulating arms, and special lights. Submersibles are built to do specific job, not for long-distance travel. We use them to help us restore your health "black box" flight recorders from wrecked airplanes, bury cable in the marine floor, investigate ancient shipwrecks, map the ocean floor, look for signs of undersea earthquake, study marine duration, repair damaged offshore grease wells, embezzle rock samples of the the deep floor, and study ocean currents.
The front (crash) ballast container was prearranged as "The fifty friendly tons" due to it's ability to flood & dive enormously quickly. essential when lower than attack.
Im 13 years outdated, what giving of chore can I gain that's not babysitting or starting a rag route?

Dog walker
Pooper Scooper

Sell things at school (t-shirts near catchy slogans, or gum maybe?), submission to do people's homework for a dollar a night, play a video or computer spectator sport for someone(level up their character or something) for money, during the summer work at a daycare or summer military camp for little kids, or sell your outmoded stuff to thrift stores and consignment shops.
You're 13, you don't really need money, you merely want it. When I was thirteen I feel the same route.
I understand your situation. Take some of your down time to study and do conservatory work. At your time of life, friends, play and tuition are the most important. Appreciate your babysitting opportunity and use the money wisely. When you take to "real" working age, you'll look back and will you didn't work so hard when you be young.
Thats roughly speaking it cause the labor law prohibit you from working at a real chore with 40 hours a week
The one and only time you have to net some money is the weekend. You are in arts school right ? Try doing errands for your neighbors...How about walking their dogs ? Raking leaves, cleaning yard, cleaning houses
You are 13, so how do you feel around labor work? Meaning, shoveling snow in someones driveway and recounting them to pay you what they believe you are worth?

Have fun with life span and let your parents verbs about money.
If you step to school and attain a good employment, you will be able to better exactness for your parents later on surrounded by life. You will cause more money than by working now and not going to institution.
Sorry to hear that you are in a doomed to failure situation. I feel for you.

When I was 13 I despicable babysitting, so I did chores for neighbors. We also had an elderly community in the neighbourhood where I lived so I would budge over and see if anyone needed help beside anything. Senior citizens usually don't pay that all right because of fixed income(sometimes they'll barter a nice cake or something yummy), but they usually have plenty they want done that they can't do themselves approaching planting flowers in the courtyard or moving furniture or cleaning out closets. You can also try posting flyers in your local grocery store for weird jobs. I know alot of moms that in recent times don't have time to receive everything done and could use a helping hand to do things resembling heavy cleaning (drapes and stuff close to that), and gardening. If you prove yourself to be a hard worker you will start getting more call. It also helps sometimes if you own friends that will help. My brothers used to move about around the neighborhood when they were 14 (twins) and they would come home beside a good $100 for 4-6 lawns, but they did everything, mowing, edging, cleaning up the grass. Try to chew over of things that you are willing to do as resourcefully as things people contained by your neighborhood may need done and product a flier. You should make prices movable until people know what a great worker you are, afterwards you can set prices because you will have more customers, but you can still provide discounts to your first customers or special customers. Remember that you are 13 and people your age hold proven themselves to be unreliable (not your fault merely a fact) so you will have to work tricky to prove yourself. Good Luck.
Lots of 13 year olds have after conservatory jobs that tender them a measure of independance from their parents. I reason it's great that you're babysitting, especially because you can create a resume out of your past experience. Get someone to back you create a resume before you start applying for job - that way potential employer will know you are serious. You don't want to include your parents as references, but possibly you could get a memo of recommendation from one of the family you work for already.
A resume is only one page long, list your name and handset number at the top and gives point form action about the job you've had below the heading 'EXPERIENCE'. If you've only have one, don't worry almost it. Because you are young, you can also schedule other experience that translates into the work world. For instance, if you are a member of a college team or sport, if you enjoy good grades or if you can win a letter of counsel from a teacher stating that you are a evolve, responsible person, consequently you have more stuff for the experience division of your resume. After exerience, list your interests (under a heading as well). It's usually a angelic idea to hang on to this list short and relavent. For instance, if you required to work in sale or at a cash register, you might inventory hanging out near friends and other social activities. If you can't deliberate of anything, list 'reading' and mention that you're adapted with the internet. Make sure to spell check the resume and show it your parents or don so they can pick out any mistakes you may have made.
What profession can you get? Well, retail job at chain coffee shops, bookstores and contained by local stores can be fun. Because you are so young, it might hold them a while to trust you and give you job where you're working next to people directly and making decision. Just keep applying to adjectives the places you are interested in working. When I be 14, I worked as an assistant in a daycare after arts school. It was fun and it give me a bit of extra cash.
Incidently, have jobs when you are childish ensures that you will enjoy something to put on your resume when you are older. Even if the duty is boring, try to stick it out for a few months so it will make a obedient impression surrounded by the future.
Best of luck,
Nicole
As a personality that does hiring, you want to make yourself appear as become fully grown and professional as possible. One of the ways a person will appear responsible is the course you express yourself.
I stopped counting at 12 the "cute" errors you made in your quiz.
If I am going to trust the reputation of my company with anyone, including a young person they are going to have to really impress me.
To enlighten you the truth, a combination of babysitting, yard work, broadsheet delivery, and adjectives kids of odd job will impress an employer as someone who hustles and works hard.
Good Luck!
Bradford and Bingley- horrible company to work for?
Question:
My boyf has worked as an underwriter for Bradford&Bingley for almost 3 years.Hes currently in the middle of a grievance procedure which is going nowhere. His manager seem to hold taken a dislike to him and as such, constantly undermine and insult him, never elapse on praise given to him despite doing so for all other member of the team.Hes other being pulled up for ridiculous minor things similar to using the internet for 3 secs longer than he has record on a process timer- despite other member of the troop getting away with similar and worse.Hes consistently passed over for underwrite tests he be supposed to have taken months ago- and have never been given any concrete reason. It may nouns quite trivial but this stuff adjectives adds up and its really getting him down. The result of his complaintbasically said he is a fraudster with a complex!A friend of mine whos mum worked for BB said that they are ably known for making duration difficult for ppl when they want them out. Has any1 else experienced similar?
Answer:
I don't know about that, I know deeply of people who any work there very soon or have done surrounded by the past and I've never hear of anything like this. Presumably he have complained to higher paperwork, if there is a grievance procedure going on. I do know that they hang on to making people redundant and hold been doing so for a long time. If they've get more redundancies planned, they could be cranking up the pressure to get associates out without have to pay them stale. Just a thought!
no, I'm a nurse.
Its called bureacracy; and you expect it surrounded by places like that. All places of work turn into hell given long plenty.
I have specified many companies to do stuff approaching this to their employees...usually they call a halt up losing some very dutiful workers because of it.
it doesnt sound much fun, I don`t know he should look around for another job within a more supportive company
Wow! I would just receive another job. It's adjectives that they will not give him a worthy reference. There is no point surrounded by working a job where on earth you are totally miserable all the time. Life is too short.
Does anybody know of companies who hire race who are complex of audible range?
Question:
I am 23, I have a college point from a well respected college within sports marketing, and I do have some adjectives hearing (not for a phone). There is too much interaction contained by sports marketing so I don't see that as a possibility. This is fairly contemporary and is the result of a surgery so I am completely lost. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated, please comfort!
Answer:
A lot of companies will still hire you. Just be upfront about your audible range loss and what you can and can't do. If you're well qualified for the duty they may be willing to take home adjustments so you can work for them.
I have a friend at my old post who had through hearing loss and wore audible range aids. He always politely said to customers, "I'm sorry, could you speak up? I hold a hearing disability." Most culture were markedly nice about it and would speak louder.
A company cannot properly deny employment due to a disability.
See Americans with Disabilities Act, www.usdoj.gov/crt/ada/pubs/ada...
I would suggest that you desire a job surrounded by some field which does not require right hearing...
You hold several open possibilities, as you should already know afterwards with your level, that employers cannot discredit you because of your disabilities, reality is most employers supply more credit.
The fact that you own some hearing shold be a thrill to yourself and to most if not adjectives employers.
Good luck.
First, I am not an ADA advocate but I thought that under that statute whatever company did bring into play you before you lost audible range is supposed to try to make probable accomodations for you by getting you amplified phones or a transcription service etc. However, if that is impossible next they are supposed to try to change your errand responsibilties to work around your problem. Failing that they may have to put you on disability.
To answer your interview you could do any job that doesn't require alot of phone usage or human being to person discussions some examples are toll accountant or online stock trader.
Contact Galludet University (Washington, DC) , which is for people that are deaf. They should hold some decent suggestions.
They might recommend that you cram to sign. That would need to be your result, but they probably do have some devout insight on this subject regardless.
I am being sincere and not giving hyper links or sites w/ my referral code. But, I grain that if I can earn a lil money at home for free then I should share. I seriously earn at tiniest $500 a month by using these 2 services. They are reputable and free. majora.d.s.e.n.s.e(dot)com and clickbank (dot)com Notice there are no refer ids. I obtain nothing to refer I am a moment ago sharing . Read terms and conditions and instructions are in that. God Bless

There are rumors at work that contained by may the platform is moving to south america?
Question:
I am in europe!
as I've an indefinite contract it's imagined that the company sends me to another campaign but would you receive another job contained by another company or would you wait and see what happen
Answer:
Wait and see what happens because is a certainty that the are going to need those that can be an operation center in Europe. But at impossible to tell apart time search other alternatives for work.
Can an employer endow with you a impossible suggestion ??
Question:
Answer:
yes, but only if the info they are giving is correct.
it is unofficial to lie on a suggestion - but if you were not a biddable employee later it would be your own fault
no they are barred they will just not hand over you a reference
they're irrelevant to give you a doomed to failure reference, but they can stay away from to give you a mention.
I know in GA the single info they can give is date of hire, length of employment, common sense for leaving (i.e. resigned or terminated) and if you are on rehire status--the potential employer must pick up what he will from that bit of info...I do believe the amount of info you are allowed to give vary from state to state.
No they can't, but no reference is as bleak.
Yes they can. But they cannot slander you.
yes they can, because it's confidential the information they give around you, you'll never know what they actually voice about you, my employer give a bad suggestion about me since just because she didn't want me to hand down.
No they can't but they can refuse to furnish one!
No not in England it's iffy in America they can. In the U.K they can snub to give a hint which is pretty much the same entry but they can't say anything doomed to failure about you.
They can, but most try to skirt the issue by emphasize only the accurate and avoiding the bad.
if its an a-hole
yes
They are not suppose to but they do sometimes. I have a friend that was giving a quotation they thought was correct and then found out the company be saying discouraging things about them. Even if the company isn't suppose to read out bad things, don't trust that they won't. Talk to them and ask what they will vote, if you have a interrogate about it.
A former employer can make a contribution a factual story of your work history with him.If you touch you've listed a hostile insinuation on you subsequent job apps., after note that he would feasible be a hostile reference on your app.
I work for a pre-employment company and they can supply you a bad mention. It really all depends on what state you're within and what guidelines the company has for reference. Like most of the people said, they usually will not endow with one and that's just as impossible unless the HR rep states that it's the company's policy not to give reference. On most of the calls we generate, the most used answer is "They cannot comment" which doesn't mean it's fruitless but it depends on how your future employer read into that. Do some checking around before you put them down as reference!
No they can only be brief such as he/ she worked for me, it is immoral to say impossible things about anyone within a reference
they are not permitted
A law abiding employer is not permitted to bequeath you a bad mention, or refuse to afford one.
However, they are only in somebody`s debt to disclose the fact that you worked for them for x amount of time, and have x amount of time off sick.
they cannot put discouraging things on your reference resembling "he's crap at work" "he's always late" "he is a idle *****" but they can word a reference to voice those things or in their belief, also some employers can and own refused to furnish a reference and a "No Comment" which primarily says to another employer steer clear
There is a differene between a impossible reference and the truth -
If an member of staff has poor attendance, poor see or was dimissed, next a referee can voice so. They cannot slander you.
As an employer who seeks mention regularly, I know that if an employer was to rebuff to give me a insinuation it would speak volumes and I would not hire the person on that proof.

Go gain a job contained by a museum.
Taylor,
I am a history major, also, and I've found the available job market pretty tough. I in actuality tried to get into guideline, but I found certification to be a giant torment in the reverse. It's amazing to me that history majors who have mucho experience about their content nouns are so easily shunned for those who have some history and a bunch of methods classes--but that's a history major chitchat. Anyhow, I ended up working at a university.

You may even know how to instruct at a community college or satellite campus with a master's. However, you can apply for imperative if that's what you're into.
If you decide that you've have enough conservatory for awhile, you'll just stipulation to accept an entry plane position somewhere (20-30k) and work your way up. Don't forget to bring out your skills while applying for jobs--history majors typically have large reasoning and analytical skills, plus an above average attention to detail (due to a bunch of research).

After working 3 yrs full time 8am to 4pm , can my employer cash my working hours to 7am to 3pm ( please minister to
Question:
Answer:
Probably not if you have a contract stating your working hours. Speak to your HR dept, or take outside advice from Citizens Advice Bureau.
yes next to 24 hours notice they can modify your schedule
employer can do anything they want.live with it
yes..your employer can move you at their discretion to a different shift if they so desire..but you can go over their principal if you dont like the result..
If there is a move in shift times for everyone, in attendance is litle you can do...the employer has the right to adjust or fine-tuning the business' hours or shifts.
he's paying you and you work to his rule's or leave , that's what he will utter
i think if he have a justifiable cause then possibly he can but why don't you check the dss website for employment advice.
yes
The exception would be if you are surrounded by a union that have some rules about working hours.
yup
this is a interrogate that we fought all the instrument to the supreme court, and they re-affirmed all of the lower court rulings, that even near a strong union, the employer can cash your hours and pay status at any time, no pre-warning and no appeal needed. we even have to pay for their atty fees, economically over $500K. the wording was awfully concise and strong.
Yes ,But they have to explain to you first,And get you to sign a latest contract.Or a change of contract.
Depends on what contract you signed when accepting the errand, speak to HR or local Job-centre to check your rights.
Hope you sort it.
Absolutly! You are concidered full time. That means 40 hours. That is adjectives that means.
It doesnt mingy the 40 hours you would perfer to work. It means 40 hours that your employer requests you to work!
He sure can. He's the boss and if he chooses to change someone hours, after he will change someone hours. That's why he's the boss.
yes they can put within 90 days notice for adaptation of your contract.unless u get union involved and u go on strike, but if i be u id adopt the change incentive there will merely be one winner.
your employer can cash your working hours to suit there requirement, they are required to give mind of change,if you can't work the hour's for reason's of children or elder living relative that need strictness, see your shop steward if you have no federation try to state your case, they might agree to comfort you. If no agreement can be found and you decline to accept the contact next you leave the company, depending again on if they hold reached agreement you would be entitled to redundancy, you stipulation at lease two years employment with them to achieve anything and be at lease eigthteen when you started work with the company,If I be you I'd accept the bright working hour's see if you can adjust to it,then if you cant afterwards look and obtain another position
Not sure if you work in a league shop, so I can't help you in attendance. However if you aren't, your employer can do anything they want, unless you have a signed contract.
Some times employer do this to force someone to quit.
Theres probably something in the contract that you signed that say that they can do this. I would imagine that they'd hold to give you a weeks sense to make any change. If it really does cause you upset, speak to your employer more or less it. If they can't accommodate you then it probably is activity over. We had 3 change of hours in lower than a year where I work and after they shut the place down.
How much do sale reps at Jewelry stores engender?
Question:
I know it works on commission and it has to do near how much you sell, but I'm freshly looking for an average here. Do you know if there is an industry standard for commission rate? Is at hand a base net?
Answer:
I worked for 6 years with two different companies. One company remunerated an hourly rate with no commission. The other remunerated an hourly rate with commission base on 1) how well the store did, and 2) how economically you did. If you hit the numbers you were supposed to, you get 1%. If the store hit its goal, you get another 1%. If the store hit the next horizontal, another 1%, and the last stratum, another 1%. So you could potentially make 4% commission on everything you sold that month. All of that lying on an hourly rate. Usually they base you at an amount that they mull over you can "earn" (let's say you bring in $7/hour, and in that store they want you to market $130/hour at that rate). If you consistently sell $200/hour, they might bump you up to, influence, $8.50/hour. If you are a decent salesperson, you might be capable of bring in at least possible $25-30,000/year.
Even if they don't say your commissioned, you ARE commissioned. Think going on for it - if you don't sell satisfactory to earn your keep, you won't enjoy a job for long.
yeah i worked contained by the jewelry industry... the average for commission is 5% and your salary as powerfully on top of that... but some race that dont worked in the jewelry store... let say...near a manufacturer, they get hold of 3% plus salary.
let say the average commision is 2-10% it depends on the store... to low-end or high-end stores or how perfect you are in public marketplace.. if you sell deeply, of course you involve to get a lift up! good luck.
