a nurse: go to a college and carry an ADN! good luck!
It'll be easier to become a social worker, in attendance are courses available in most colleges/universities for social work. They are usually 1-2 years. Nursing is more complex, and would require more of a time investment.

This join might give you some philosophy
lots of info here
Go back to academy or get your master within social worker. To be a nurse, you have to jump to community college and get an associate point and take a experiment. But, if you already have a scope, I would either attain a BS degree contained by either one of these or bring back my master degree surrounded by social worker or nursing.Good Luck and Best Wishes!
Phone your local college and ask when their next accessible night is. They'll hold all the information of the courses and testimonial that you'll need. Good luck
If you live surrounded by the UK the following links below should help one for social work and one for nursing - well brought-up move and good luck
Look earlier you leap.

Try volunteering in a hospital or beside a crisis center before you spend the action at school. Don't receive me wrong, I'm pro-education.

Both of these careers SOUND more glamorous than they are (just resembling EVERY career). They also both have VERY giant burn out rates. The people who stick beside them LOVE it and could not see themselves doing anything else.

Good luck
i would advise you to apply for a place at uni through UCAS. It will purloin you 3 years to complete the course but you might get to delight in it as well. flawless luck!
get a college or university prospertus you, ll be great i bet
I've lately finished a course call Access to Nursing and Health studies at my local college, I done it unpaid in the evenings for 1 year. I own now be accepted to do my nurse training at university which will pinch another 3 years, I'm so glad I got out of the organization working environment which I had be in since going away school 9 years ago. I know that you hold been stuck within it for over 20 years but it's not to late, it is a great and rewarding trade path to purloin.

Good luck with what ever you choose to do.
You could start next to a university access course if you need certificate, otherwise contact your local careers counsel office, they are at hand for everyone
schizophrenia may help. Seriously, only just check at your local college and they will tell you which access course you entail to do and then you apply to uni.
If you already own the qualifications, afterwards ring the admissions tutor contained by the relevant uni department and they will tell you what to do.
You stipulation to get lots of experience near volunteering. But you must also think knotty about these roles - can you switch of at the finishing of the day. As to draw from too involved in peoples lives as you could can be concrete on you!
Don't let the certainty that you have be in another available job for 20 years put you off nursing. My friend vanished her career and go into nursing recently, and be told the majority of candidates and populace on the nursing courses are actually developed students.

Another thing which make it an attractive and good choice for season students is the availability of generous bursaries for nursing students. The money you are entitled to throughout your studies is MUCH better than you will be offered through other courses. There are also opportunities for doing agency nursing while you are completing your studies too, to further boost you income.

Good luck!
all right i have some moral news and more dutiful news but alot of desperate news, after 20 yrs you should be thinking something like retirement i think retirment is retired out of a next institutionary invitalment towards a peco life wit productive instability and worst comp cases near lesser thinking and cooperative people that ma yfind your deficiency of interest as intolerable as though some locations repeat more or often repute it may deem called for to violate some occurences and provail the institution for its foundries and population presumptions.
A really good place to look for answers to your cross-examine is the US Dept. of Labor. The US Dept. of Labor has a great network site for researching occupations of adjectives sorts. Either way, you hold to go to university. It involves like mad of studying and a lot of commitment. Both job are quite low salaried for a lot of responsibility.

Female department bully?

Question:
A girl at work whom I've never been really close with because she treats other associates so badly is presently bullying me. Although not close, we were ok previously. However, I now work on her troop, and she's good at calling associates out for every little error they make and copying the supervisor. She also took a couple of my work items that needed to be corrected (I hold her old kingdom and people still be in motion directly to her because they do not know me yet- understandable), but she didn't tell me- I basically happened to overhear her conversation about me. I asked her other that in the adjectives, she bring them to me to correct so that I can learn from my mistakes. She's treating really scantily now, and chatting beside other people in the order of it (ok- I just deliberate I know this because I've heard her yak to me about other people). People I've other been close to are very soon avoiding me. She did this to another girl previously, and no one will chat to her for fear of what the "bully" would muse of that. Am I doomed too?

Answer:
Honestly, you shouldn't waste your time worrying roughly her. She seems approaching the person that get off on making ethnic group feel inferior. I worked near someone like this and I be miserable.

My advice to you would be to get hold of out and mingle with your coworkers, letting them know what responsibilities you are handling very soon, and that if they ever have any questions/comments/concerns, they can come directly to you. Not simply does this let relatives get to know you, you seize to take the illustrious road without letting the bully know she is getting to you.

Working near people approaching her can be tough, frustrating, and make you want to quit. Avoid her at adjectives costs, but keep what interaction you enjoy with her short and to the point. And by adjectives means, do not diss her to other workers...it will construct you look just as doomed to failure as her.

Good luck!
things like this come to pass every day at adjectives different kind of job. you could either fit to it or try talkign to her.
you need to speak to a supervisor in the order of this, she has no right to do this.
She is no better than you and singling you out close to that , well let just voice she could loose her job if she lived where on earth i live.
Talk to a supervisor or their boss.

Hope that helps.
Kim
what is the standard age in this workplace? enjoy yall heard of old age? seriously that girl needs to be reported to someone high up. if you are scared of her afterwards you have no self esteem if your boss doesnt do anything in the region of it then you can any get over it and live beside the fact that someone is going to bully you at work, quit, or stoop to her plane and play her game. correct luck w/ that
I think you should speak beside your Human Resources Department about her. You should never be Bullied at work. As a situation of fact, bring up to date them the same entity you stated in your press.
there is a model that said the bigger u are the harder you decline so if i was you i would own all prepared put an end to it first of adjectives you have the statute that protects you second your job is spouts be protected not harm full so if you fer her put a restraining demand against that person freshly in luggage if she attacks you she will be arrested and second some one who has a restraining instruct shod not be in a bout 100feet close to you b regulation..
Check the chess board- Is she more powerful, equal or less powerful than you? If equal or smaller quantity powerful, then you might enjoy a shot at justice- Try talking to her or if it does not work, report her to your supervisor. If more powerful than you, forget it, reframe things within your mind so you can take it better, or adapt jobs.
A second point to consider- is she simply crabby, rude, stressed out, but basically a angelic person, or one of those few individuals that are really evil? With most individuals, humor, forgiveness and tolerance go a long route. But if she is evil, she will keep on making you (and others) miserable as long as you are within her circle of influence.
Beware- I have suffered closely because of my naivete and some people's bullying, nonsense chitchat and stupidity- But I believe in deep human goodness and hope that you (same as I) handle to live in peace.

Are employer supposed to communication out your W2 if you disappeared the opening or do you hold to pick them up?

Question:
My former boss told me not to contact her anymore because I quit- Good reasons as I have a baby and told her i couldnt work any over time unless given an mortgage notice- but wouldnt mind helping out if it was called for.

3 days in a row the character that was supposed to relieve me never did so I would conclusion up working 7 am until 9 pm when the person relieving me approved to show up.

Anyway I called to ask her and she told me not to contact her because she is upset near the way i vanished. Dont I need to know if i enjoy to pick up my W-2 or is it being mail. My husband is 1099 so we just want to grasp this taken care of and profile and pay what we will owe.

Answer:
they enjoy to get it out by jan 31. if a big company usually personnel department mail out to ex-employees. Even smaller companies often use a payroll type firm to both recompense you and also compile and send out the w-2. If somehow it go to your boss or is prepared by him, and they don't forward it on (seems unusually spiteful), first week in february dispatch boss a certified or even registered letter next to return receipt, read aloud you will be notifying IRS that they are refuse to provide w-2. If you have later pay stub you should know how to get the unsophisticated elements needed to try to do your taxes unless there are unusual complexities, and when you do so of late include statement about employer refuse and attach copy of pay stub. If you surely can't do taxes without, name IRS and ask them what to do.
The employer will mail it to you.
they are required to correspondence them out to you
They have to letters you one
Only employees hold the privilege of getting their W2s @ work, so look out for the in the messages. If you think she won't dispatch them, call the skipper of HR or another employee to find out if they hold been distributed.

Can i still return with carer's allowance and income support but work 5hrs a week?

Question:

Answer:
go and hold a look on the benefits web page and they will make available you all the information you involve if you cant claim income support you may be able to claim duty credits (you don't always inevitability to have children to do this failing that ask within the local job focal point or go to the citizens guidance bureau I would before you start claiming because here is always someone predisposed to shop you and unless you ask you don't get and you could be missing out on other benefits
yes
you grasp to keep 5 pnds, everything else you earn they will run from your benifits
i don,t know you have to earn beneath 20 pounds a week
Yes. I was working 6 hours per week at a local creche and getting income support and carers allowance. I dream up if you go over 16 hours your carers allowance stops (not entirely sure of that though). Income support patently stops when you work over 16 hours. You are allowed to keep lb20 of your wages - anything over this get taken from your income support. You should inform IS when you start the job and they appropriate it from there.
as long as wages less than lb84 you'll still receive your carers allowance, your retribution will affect your income support though, unsure how much is disregarded but if your a lone parent you get to save the 1st lb20 anything after that is deduct ie pay lb50 lose lb30 benefit, contact your local benefit processing organization
You may also look out for an option to work online to clear extra cash within your spare time. I am a part time worker doing work online at home, so I would similar to to share a link where on earth you can make $600-$1500 contained by a month working at home. The work need to be done is posting/answering a discussion and uploading any photo/image of your interest. For details call on
http://ommc.blogspot.com
I will publish few more genuine site surrounded by couple of weeks, where you can earn money. You may also write to me at talkofmoney@rediffmail.com (Note: When u are planning for a home base online work, be careful because most of them are scam and ask you to pay packet initial money. never pay money to any such site.)
You are properly allowed to earn no more than lb20 without declare it when on benefits. Even though you are legally allowed to earn this amount you own to inform the DWP that you are doing so. If you don't inform them they may stop your benefits and investigate the situation. Although you would be doing no wrong by earning the lb20 by not declare that you are doing so you risk them stopping your main income (benefits) until they ease themselves that everything is legal and above board. Anything above the lb20 would be deduct from the amount which you recieve.
i think so but check this relationship...good luck...x

What could I do next to an A.A.S level contained by mental vigour clinical and counseling psychology?

Question:

Answer:
not much but go spinal column and get your Bachelors...and consequently go win your masters
Work for the VA.

i get the position i applied for but in a minute I'm terrified to adopt it?

Question:
is that stupid? i mean i dislike my current job because they treat their employee's approaching @*@t! but now that i found a untried one, i feel terrified and nervous? is that conventional? how do i get over it?

Answer:
I chew over that is run of the mill. Of course most people are coy starting a new opening. But, if you hate the dated one...move on and don't look spinal column. The first day might be frozen, but then it will return with better. Best wishes.
Yes every time that I start a new employment I am nervous for the first few days, it is merely part of person human and going into unfamiliar circumstances
That's regular and completely understandable. You know you want it, consider how you will feel surrounded by a few weeks time stuck in that rubbish livelihood still if you turn it down. Now, you wouldn't have applied for the chore, or been sucessful if you and the company weren't sure you could do it so turn for it.
It is normal to be fretful about a brand new transition in your vivacity. Decide if this new mission is really for you so that you don't make any imprudent decisions. Does it rate well? Will you be within a good working environment? Will you grow and revise there? Make a inventory of things that are important to you and see how resourcefully this fits you. You don't want to jump into a errand just because you aversion your current one.

At the same time, you may purely be feeling distressed about starting something unusual. This is very majority. If this job is right for you, run it! And embrace a new start. It may be startling at first, but if they hired you they obviously see your potential. Good luck.
If you really want the bright job, GO. The worst item you can do once you have be offered a career that you went after, because the company you work for is not that pious, is stay where you are.

The nouns of respect that you use to get is solely the tip of the iceberg, GET OUT while you can.
it is normal, swing can be threatening. not sure of your personal situation (eg single, married, old, young-looking?) but assuming that there isn't much risk in attendance for you, try to take positive attitude. One course to do things is to write down advantages and disadvantages of taking new duty on one piece of paper or compare outdated versus new career, something like that, near line down the middle separating the two category. Then stare at it and presumably you'll see that it is better to work at the new place
take the emotions out of it, and once you've made an actual decree and committed you'll feel closely better
AHHH you got the jittersof course it is ordinary, transition can be hard for anyone. You own to swallow it and go for whats best. Any brief where the personnel are being mistreated is not worth have. Get out while you can. You will be fine. Do you remember you first day at Kindergarten?
I can relate to you! I reckon it is normal to perceive this way. But don't runaway from concern, this could be a blessing for you. Suck up all of the apprehension and negativity thoughts and go for it.
Most ethnic group feel retiring when they are offered a new profession. I went from working at a food court, to a shoe store, to a sandbank. I'm very glad that I made the transitions though. I am more experienced next to work, and knew that I be capable of working surrounded by a new environment. If it's a available job that is similar to your mature one you should be fine, and if it's a job to be precise completely different you need to ask yourself if you're competent to adjust and learn. If you disgust your current job, how much worse can it be at the clean one?
If you were completely honest surrounded by the application and interview stages of this job inquiry, you hold nothing to be apprehensive in the region of. The employer wants the best applicant for the position and they see that in you and offered it to you.
They believe contained by you and they are the ones making the risk - now give somebody a lift a deep breath and step for it!
It's completely normal to get the impression this way. Change scare humans. It sounds like this "change" is going to be for the better. Take the brand new job if you imagine it is going to be more enjoyable and a better fit for you.
It's run of the mill to be nervous something like leaving a errand even if you don't really like it near. Esspecially if you've been nearby a long time, it's something that's known versus the unknown of the current job.

Personally, I get over it by putting 100% into my new mission. Didn't have time to infer about the prehistoric job!

HOW?! did you amount out what you required to be when you grow up?

Question:
Im not sure what to be when I grow up, and everybody seems to know what they are going to do and etc. How did you integer out what you wanted to be?

Also, surrounded by college there are broad study classes you can take and they run over all possible career in a expert subject you are interested in. dont verbs i am still trying to figure it out and i am 63,as it happen people enjoy decided it for me and ask me to do things that i know .or that i am accurate at

so learn something that really interests you and swot up to do things that you like doing, and general public will ask you to do things that are related to what you know, and what you can do.
and your confusion will die
A lot of jobs are not what they come across, so I would try to talk to greatly people more or less their work -- what they like almost it, what they don't, and see what rings true with your self-image type. Actually, you could post questions on RunEye.com, similar to "HEY LAWYERS... what do you like and not close to about your work? any suggestion for someone considering this as a career?" Ask family who've been working for some time what they would do differently if they have it to do again. If you find something that genuinely interests you, you might call for up a company or organization that does it, and ask for an informational interview. Most race are happy to mentor and share information beside people who show an interest contained by what they do.

Good luck!
Have no fear ... the answer will come to you contained by due time. Some people know what they want to do for a job when they are quite immature while others do not.

Take some clues from your personality and qualities traits. Ask family and friends for their opinion. Consider your previous school classes, job(s) and hobbies ... what own you enjoyed and disliked?

A couple of great ways to revise about occupation choices is to "interview" those working in those specific field and to volunteer. When asking others about their craft choices, try to include more open-ended questions (eg: how would you describe a typical workday? What types of responsibilities do you enjoy? What education/experience is necessary for this type of work?). Open-ended question encourage a creature to talk more and would, so, provide you with more information than of late "yes" or "no" answers.
I'm 37 and still do not know what I want to be. I do enjoy unadulterated estate though. Teaching sounds like a correct career choice. Maybe school older kids vs. younger.
I didn't until after I grew up. I other thought I wanted to be a chemist until I took my first chemistry lab contained by college. It was ghastly. Of course having it contained by the afternoon from 1 to 3 did not help. All I considered necessary to do was thieve a nap.

I found out fairly by accident contained by graduate school that I have a gift for writing computer programs, but by afterwards I was already charted on a different causeway.

Nevertheless, a couple of years later while I be working in another employment, an opportunity presented itself for a computer programming job. I be lucky enough to be special and that was the story of my subsequent 30 years. All based on one college course and the luck of the draw.

The best point is to try different things to see where your talent lie. I am approaching you. I have beyond doubt no patients whatsoever.
Take different courses and see what interests you. Read books about different professions and homily to people. Eventually, you will find out what you want to do.
I want to be a _________ when you grow up.
in good health this is often every youngsters most asked give somebody the third degree, so you need to do homework and be prepared to honestly know...
find out what is available contained by your area, heaps young adults usually shutting down up moving away to make living. I did, I moved 3 states away, loved it, glad I took risk.
job are risks and good research experiences.
we don't know from job to position, what we will be. or that we are being anything.

If an interviewer asks me whats my strengths and weakness, what do they mingy by that?

Question:

Answer:
What are you good at. What are you not so obedient at.
As an employer I ask this questions during interviews solely to see what level of confidence they enjoy. Strengths are things that "you" feel you excel at. 9 out of 10 times those list their weakness as "being a perfectionist" I never hire anyone that uses that as their tenderness.
They mean nil by that. They just want to see how economically you are able to pull the wool over your eyes.
These questions are asked to catch a better idea of what skills you bring to the charity. In asking a question resembling this, the interviewer will (hopefully) learn different aspects of your qualities and personality that get you a good worker... and thus want to hire you.

Listing your weakness can be a bit more difficult. Personally, I like when an individual is adept of recognizing their own fault. By knowing you're limitations, you have a better compassion of what you can and cannot accomplish. I believe the best way to discuss weakness in an interview is to turn them into a positive by making them a research experience. If, for instance, I found myself joining too many clubs or working on a great deal of projects I would explain that my weakness is becoming over-involved and I would be afraid to spread myself too delicate. However, to overcome that I really focused on exhibiting good time command skills and I learned how to bring back the most out of myself for each buzz while still not becoming too overworked.

Hope that helps!
employer are doing two things. they are asking an open done question that requires more than a yes or no answer. they want to see confidence in need arrogance. also it helps them determine why they should settle you for your service. how many times have an employer asked you, "what am I getting if I bring you on board my squad?" It really is a test to see if you're going to make available the same answers as the previous 5 citizens that may have interviewed early for the same spot. separate yourself by giving answers near the words loyalty, confidence and integrity rather than the usual dependable, self assertive and a folks person.

Have a Hons point, looking into working as a attorney, what qualification routes are near?

Question:
I have a BA Hons degreee from 15 years ago, looking into a main career revision, any help appreciated.

Also, anyone who have done something similar, their advice?

If you want to qualify as a solicitor or a barrister have already obtained a point in another subject, you can apply to do a one year conversion course (post graduate diploma within law PGDL). It is pretty intricate work, as you essentially have to cram the first two years of a regulation degree into one year. You do alike course whether you want to be a solicitor or a barrister.

If you complete that successfully, you can then stir on to do the Legal Practice Course (LPC) if you want to be a solicitor, or BVC if you want to be a barrister.

If you then complete that successfully, you will later need to make a purchase of a training contract with a ruling firm if you want to qualify as a solicitor -this takes two years and is pretty very well paid. After those two years, you will be a qulalified solicitor. A similar process applies to barristers.

So adjectives in adjectives it will take two years of intricate academic study, afterwards two years of paid training formerly you qualify. Competition for training contracts is also pretty intense..

Read more about it here: http://www.lawsociety.org.uk/home.regulation...

good luck!
try the ILEX course at dark school, this will fashion you a legal executive later take a FILEX which will variety you qualify as the equivelant of a solicitor.

where on earth can a senior citizen find work?

Question:

Answer:
I guess Wal-Mart is the first thing that comes to everybody's mind. Obvious by adjectives other responses.

Actually, it depends on your abilities. I own several clients who employ senior citizens to do different things. What are you competent to do? Do you want to be a janitor? Are you a good salesman? Many coup¨¦ dealerships and auto parts stores use seniors to deliver and pick up parts. Do you still drive?

What did you do before you retired? Is nearby something similar you can do on a smaller scale?

Are you looking for work because you want the money or are you just looking for something to occupy your time? If the latter, enjoy you considered volunteering? How about the hospital, senior center, etc.??

Good luck
Wal-Mart!
Walmart
home depot is big on hiring retirees, especially if you own some handyman type skills so that you can answer customer questions
The Airport! They other have something specifically for seniors.
as a greeter within walmart or any other department store I guess
Check out the city government. The leisure department would be good if you close to kids, the senior citizen center if you don't! Of course, these places won't give you benefits resembling WalMart would for example, but it's fun work.
You may wish to consider the insurance business, conspicuously specializing in long-term thoroughness coverage. Americans are finally waking up to the certainty that this coverage is an absolute necessity for most, and recurrently a sensible option even surrounded by the wealthiest of households.

Most agents selling LTC today are relatively young, as veteran agents are a bit timid going on for its complexity. Most seniors are leery about anyone advised on issues of aging by someone 30-40 years their junior. They are much more reactive to someone they view as a peer. The average LTC policy commission is around $1,000. It's an incredibly stimulating business, but quite rewarding if you're successful.
