Careers Employment Questions and Answers

What is the first step to figure out what I should do beside my energy?

Question:
I have several interests, but can't seem to settle on one point that would make a fulfilling art choice. All I know is that what I am currently doing isn't cutting it!

Answer:
First, ask yourself what make you most happy. Then ask which of the profession paths you are looking at will allow to bring about the highest smooth of happiness. Finally do not allow yourself to be disillusioned by the promise of greater salaries. Money does not other equal happiness. Do you want to own a family? Do you want to travel the world? Where do you want to be contained by five years? There's a lot you must ask of yourself up to that time you decide on one set direction for your natural life. And it does not always crop up overnight. So don't rush into a decision. Take the time to digit everything out, weigh all the factor, then engineer a sound, fact-based declaration. Most of all, you must believe, contained by your heart, that this is the direction you want for life. If you can do adjectives that, and stick to it, then and with the sole purpose then, will you find the direction you own so desparately sought for your life.
you get a good cross-examine. I never ask myself that one lol,and sure got a overdue start in existence. But looking at it now, I know that the computer be just coming out to the public, and if i did ask myself that ask I would have be involved with IBM or APPLE .Same go for now. If you really want to succeed, you would really want to ensnare the next undulation of public demand.Try asking yourself what you see to be the piece that everyone will pay money for. But theres other the happiness contained by what you do issue, and your best skills to concider. I became a truck driver because it involved travel. And I really considered necessary to see the world before i died. It be what made me happy, and + I be fullfilling a goal as powerfully. So think going on for when your 80 yrs old, and your smilling just about everything you did and what it is that would make you discern complete. It may not be your first instinct so take some time to weigh between if have money is what you would call nouns or what goals you achieve is what meassures success. enjoy a good time and good luck

That quiz is so broad it really depends on your occupation.

If you're a lumberjack, don't move there.
YES
Dell Computers home bottom is located there.

Is firing this guy right?

Question:
Because a VA school-teacher did art-work with his buttucks within his free time, he was fired from his living. Was firing him the right thing to do?

Answer:
Probably not. But teacher are used as indicators of how our society works. And like police officer, politicians and preachers they are often looked at as notably moral (we trust our kids with them don't we) and as such are looked upon differently than the rest of our society. Their private duration and what they do with it are also contained by the public eye and a "misstep" can be costly.
depends on who you ask, i say yes
Tough question but at the same time, you own to recognize that this party is teaching CHILDREN...and have a "responsibility" to think roughly what if the children he is teaching found out almost this...what would they think? Would they have a sneaking suspicion that that this is ok? The answer is maybeand you wouldnt want that if your children were research from him.
If he did this in his free time and it doesn't affect his rule he shouldn't have be fired, I mean infer about it how tons men out there enjoy porn, who teach, are doctors should we fire adjectives of them too.As long as it doesn't affect their work life hold at it!!

is experience or qualifycations better?

Question:
i have be looking into jobs working within nurserys as i have a child and a toddler myself and know what to expect when it comes to nappy changing, feed and playing with them.

not a soul will take me on because i dont enjoy the qualifications. I presume this is wrong as i have have the experience of bringing up kids and would know alot more about babies than someone who have been college for a year or two that dont hold kids themselves.(im woman btw)

what are your views? i know that if you own a qualification you have cultured about robustness and safety etc, but man a full time mum, you find these things out. I really want to work in childcare and im not a unpromising mum. can nurserys take on folks with no testimonial and work them up to getting nvq's??

i dont want people relating me that i should stay at home with my kids as i devise that working will get me discussion to people my own age and childlike mums and i get compensated for it and my children will play with other kids their own age

Answer:
your right it's gutless but that's life , when you bring driving lessons you don't cram to drive as you would in the genuine world instead they teach you to ratify your test which is an entirely different entity !

anyway it's good you wallow in caring for kids and the experience you've have should make getting an NVQ undemanding so if it's what you want to do make a commitment to it and enrole within college .
Start by qualifying inwardly your county with a licensed to start your own light of day care service. Then present your services to your circle of friends and grow from there.. by itekmobility
If I be a boss I would choose experiance & let my member of staff gain certificates. There is college courses be you can take your kids.
i believe that experience is better, but wretchedly these days nobody will pinch you on in any file of work unless you have testimonial.
i cant really answer your question, but i expect its really god that you are obviously putting your kids first and want to give a hand others

i wish you luck and totally agree that you must surely be a accurate candidate for this profession and i one-sidedly think that yes, experience can be better than a qualification as its more acting upon your instincts to combat a problem hastily as opposed to looking through a book to amount out stuff and delaying any problem solving.
What in the order of becoming a private registered child minder it would get you some money conversation to other parents and you would be looking after the children in the comfort of your own home. You can do the training for this at home or at college one dark a week. Try getting in touch beside you local college for details hope I've helped.
I have the same problem but contained by a different profession. I worked successfully for a long time but couldn't move on. So I get some qualifications surrounded by my spare time and moved on. I have to enunciate with observation that the qualifications did not engineer me better at my job but they did unambiguous my mind and help me to know the nature of the 'workplace'.

The workplace is not primarily base on success for merit, its base on towing a line that you may not other want to tow.

to coin a phrase, 'sometimes we have to howl next to the wolves...'
i went to uni, get a good level and no one desires me cause I do not own experience...catch 22 and a lb12,000 debt. Wish I never go!
A friend of mine started at Kids Unlimited with no recommendation, she was doing daylight release towards her NVQ but I think they would lone let her do undeveloped care until she be qualified

Experience seems to count for nought in your skin which is sad when you want a opportunity you are doing at home anyway...

Good Luck
It kind of worked the differing for me!

I graduated next to honors and a double major point (Business Mgmt & Accounting), but it seemed in need the experience, no one would hire me. I say aloud you look into online courses in childcare or home vigour! There has to be some sort of amount you can get while still doing what you're doing!
Generally experience counts for more, but testimonial are an measure of your training.

Unfortunately most adults hold exactly the same experience smooth as you, therefore surrounded by this case testimonial are essential, to differentiate you from the rest of us.

It is particularly big when it comes to caring for kids, and your liability and responsibilities far outweigh any advantage you will gain by working.
Find something more appropriate
I would guess, diploma would be a legal requirement at the present time, although experience is necessary.
Qualifications! enthusiasm is not adequate for a potential applicant in this nouns unless you want unpaid voluntary work. Anyone who tells you otherwise is a moron!
Alongside the statutory proof of competance which may or may not exist surrounded by your state or country, the standards and certification of staff are an attractive selling point for parents inwardly such a competitive market and as a result nurseries focus upon testimonial.
Check out your local community college, should be funds and suport available, will be a hard harmonizing act but an employer will find you irresistable next to both qualifications and experience. Good luck!

member of staff promotion?

Question:
What percentage of employees are competent to begin at an entry plane position, remain with like company and promote to top executive level? Do we promote from the inside or is it required to move around, gain skills, then enter at a different company at a better level?

Answer:
I'd enunciate only a exceptionally low percentage would move from entry level to top errand in matching company, because of a few factors: 1 is that folks don't tend to see change and growth within their colleagues as easily as they may see outsiders, and tend to good point external experience as it is summed up and spelled out for them on a resume.

Factor 2 is that there is a human partiality to try and hold on to good workers internally, and not promote them as quickly as they may be primed for it; it can be disruptive and chancy for the existing manager to point out their star's subsequent opportunity, since they'll then lose him/her.

Factor 3 is in recent times pure timing - what are the chances that every time you're geared up to be promoted, the next model role is waiting for you inside your current employer's business? And that there's not someone else also in vein?

Factor 4 is the pure experience that one can garner by working contained by different corporate environments, management styles and even industries: the richness of that experience become far more valuable and applicable as one moves up the manacle towards the top job.

All contained by all, seem to me that we should generally move around to pull off that pinnacle in our career, and that most successful execs do.
Very rare indeed for an member of staff to stay at same co. and go top rank because there are basically a few very sr. execs. Much better to do a great employment for your company and all the while look for better opportunity. My biggest career mistakes be not interviewing for great promotions because I was content beside my job. It have cost me long term as promotions are your current employer are predetermined.

How does my work place person sold as a going concern affect my opening?

Question:
I currently work in a nursery which is up for Dutch auction "as a going concern", I thought this ment our job would be not detrimental but have not long heard rumours that this is one and only for 3 months. Does any one know if this is true?

Answer:
Your employer should be giving you all the info you are entitled to. You could other try a union (TGWU if I'm correct) or even the Citizens Advice Bureau

Good luck
Depends on your contract, if you own one.
Otherwise it depends on basic member of staff rights, which are not the same everywhere.
Best to consult your job office within your area.
As far as I am aware, your living is safe for three months for the clean owners to see if you are satifactory, if you have worked in that for a long time, then you should own no problem. If I were you, I wouldn't listen to the rumours, walk and see your present boss and find out the facts for yourself and put your mind as ease. Good Luck and I assume you have chosen a wonderful work for yourself.
Normally with businesses are sold as a going concern nearby is a clause that states the current employees will be kept or for a enduring period. It might be that your firm signed the agreement that workers will only be in that for a period three months. You should afterwards look at your own agreement with the firm you signed when you started here - there might be a clause protecting you for longer.
if they make a contribution you a new contract or inform you that you are going on with the exotic owners then you can relax, otherwise start convention as much information as possible regarding redundancy and member of staff rights.

Is anybody else depressed after audible range how much Mr Beckham is anyone remunerated?

Question:
I've got nil against the man and good look to him but I own worked ever since leaving university and after 30 odd years of turning out contained by all weather and doing my best to support my line I am deeper in debt than when I started and David is earn more in an hour than I obtain in a year ( beside overtime ) I feel a bit offended.

Answer:
I'm not depressed yet, still gobsmacked. I started work when I be 14 in the holidays, and I'm still poor, and immediately my lad just started college. We have a very faint xmas, its a good chore he's not greedy. Fingers crossed he'll have more luck contained by the workplace than I have.
Me to.
i deduce its stupid how much money footballers are being remunerated.. they are just regular people that can see a ball.. however i do love my football
you want to budget if you are in debt
yeah,i don't presume anyone is worth that much money
what's the point, won't change anything, contemplate he's bothered. i think he's a tosser but he'd be a mug for not sitting at hand looking as smug as he does, fair play and upright luck to him, though perhaps within the interests of folk like yourself he should own asked for less money! lol
I know I construe it is pathetic how much football stars and actors/actresses are remunerated!! As for the footballers getting paid so much blame the football fan!! they are partly to blame because they are inclined to pay over likelihood for football shirts that change every season and they are predisposed to pay over the probability to attend footabll matches!! I remeber as kid I used to turn see Arsenal play - it used to cost lb5! Now to buy a ticket at Arsenal you have to buy a season ticket!
Luck of the gene-pool!! But yes, it's crazy how much sports superstars earn.
Footballers are overpaid contained by general compared to other athletes but what can u do? Dont verbs mate , Im sure your family appreciate you.
It's a ludicrous amount. I'm hoping he donates some to charity (I don't tight-fisted Victoria!), cos no one requests that sort of cash.
That's the agency it is. There will always be someone who make more $$ and someone who makes smaller number (maybe except for Bill Gates). Turn and see all individuals in third world (not adjectives really, like 85%-90% of population) and you'll surely realize that the comfortable circumstances you have is something entire countries won't achieve in at least possible 300 years... not that looking down to others should make us chirpy, but looking up shouldn't make us quality bad any... besides there's nothing you can do around Beckham making more or less.. hence is out your circle of influence and shouldn't worry you.. given that nearby is nothing you can do to exchange that
I don't feel depressed roughly speaking it. I've worked since I was 15 and I'm still rather poor but I don't envy the likes of David Beckham. Yes, it would be nice to enjoy enough money so you don't own to worry something like bills etc, but does all that bread make him thankful?

He's had allegation after allegation of affairs etc and his little boy have epilepsy - how does the money help near?

I'd rather be me (without sounding smug unsurprisingly!). Try not to worry around it if it makes you consistency sad. Just be proud of what you hold achieved!
I agree! I'm @ skl so I dont earn anything- and Becks get payed millions just for doing equal things I do in my P.E. Lessons.
Oh Well... the joke on him- getting advice from Tom Cruise, and not individual able to play for Madrid until his contract runs out.

What is this world coming to?
depressed no,,he is a honourable family man and have just be lucky in tons ways he has a talent which he deciced to do when he be sooooo young and stuck at it and immediately it has get him to where he is today so he deserves what he have got besides its not money that make a family delighted (granted it helps to a point tho) but in wise saying all this who wouldn't want to be within his shoes.
i have also worked and brought home an average wage and dept is next to most of the population anyway. ..
he his an inspiration to young kids which how frequent other superstars do the same they both do alot for charity as economically.
so they get my vote adjectives the way..
Depressed ? No apt luck to him - coming from a working class family and making something of his energy like he have done is really quite exceptional.
Hi,
I totally agree.
The best that I have was give or take a few lb1000 per week. And I thought that too much, at the time. Although I didn't say so. I did not deserve it for what I be doing.
Kicking a bladder around a feild, albeit skillfully, for umpteen times that is disgusting.
I hope that he pays suitable charities a correct amount.

No wonder that you surface sad.

I do, and although they still donate me a goodly amount per hour, I am dismayed that folks like Dave are payed so much for erudition to kick a bloody orb from A to B.
Daft !

What does an Account Executive do...?

Question:
for an Advertising Agency, and how much money do they make?

Answer:
Account Executives are similar to salespeople and managers at matching time. You get unsullied accounts, by selling them on your firm, and then be in charge of their account or even go past it along to an account chief in some cases. A lot of massive adveritising and marketing firms hire Account Execs to work on 1 or 2 large accounts, and once those accounts are gone - you're out of a living. But the money is good while it last, usually a base between 30-45k base upon experience and then commissions.
The Account Executive oversees the depiction for the client. The salary depends on the city where on earth you live. An Account Executive in New York City is going to engineer more than one in Dallas or other marketplace.
An account executive executes accountants.

Who care about the money - I'd do it for nought.

What do paralegals surrounded by Singapore do and how is the stipend?

Question:
I have a LLB amount from an overseas university but I'm interested to experience Singapore law. So, anyone a paralegal is the best bet.
Do paralegals have to work around the clock (aka no life)?

Answer:
I work as a paralegal surrounded by Singapore and I'm seriously underpaid. However, i guess it depends on which field of regulation you get yourself into. I work long hours and i'm pretty much kicking myself for taking up this "profession".

I dream up you'll be better appreciated in any the UK or US. I know there is a society of some sorts within the UK known as ILEX which promotes and "protects" paralegals and/or legalized executives.

There is no such thing within Singapore. Paralegals are basically support staff who earn as much as support staff. So if you don't mind the long hours and measly recompense, you might just want to consider individual a paralegal in singapore.
I lived surrounded by Hong Kong (I know, not Singapore) but my Dad is an attorney and he worked around the clock. He traveled all over Asia and Australia as all right. His paralegals were pretty much 9-5 and never traveled, unless he requested them to do so. I consider Singapore is very much like way - and it depends on what firm or company you find a available job with. Obviously, it's a cross-examine you need answered during an interview.

How to attain work within NASA?

Question:

Answer:
For all the diversity of NASA's workforce, the query, "How can I become an astronaut?" is very adjectives. The answer depends on where you are in a minute and where you want to be in motion.

If you haven't finished high arts school yet, former astronaut Dr. Sally K. Ride have these suggestions for you:

I was other interested in physics and astronomy and chemistry, and I continued to study those subjects through high-ranking school and college on into graduate institution. That's what prepared me for being an astronaut; it in fact gave me the certificate to be selected to be an astronaut. I estimate the advice that I would make available to any kids who want to be astronauts is to make sure that they realize that NASA is looking for folks with a intact variety of background: they are looking for medical doctors, microbiologists, geologists, physicists, electrical engineers. Do you construe anyone a homemaker is very soon a luxury, what open-handed of stipend would it run to support this lifestyle?.?

Question:

Answer:
Well, actually, it's according to what type of "lifestyle" that you want to lead. I've raise three kids staying at home. There are things that I don't have to enjoy or be in debt for. I'd a bit have that power time with my children. They will one and only be little kids once. I'll never have this fate again. I've gotten by on a very minuscule income. You hold a roof over your head, food on the table, clothes on your wager on, you're blessed no matter what.
Yes, but considering the cab you might have to run for your kids, it's with the sole purpose a luxury part of the time. A wearing clothes salary, although you release money when you stay at home in lots areas like gas, food, daycare, and logically risking your life going out on these roads!
