What would be the benefits of increasing the federal minimum wage?

Question:

Answer:
You get a bigger paycheck! That's something like it. If minimum wage goes up so will everything else that you buy. The stores will enjoy to pay their workers more so they will enjoy to raise prices on everything so they can still variety a profit. So really it won't help anyone to enjoy anymore money than they already have.
that would be great if you could hold a price control system that says companys cant inflate their prices of late because their forced to pay a better wage. while your at it try making a minimum wage that if truth be told reflects the modern cost of living which would include cost similar to car insurance, condition insurance, and actual food costs. they all bicker close to children in D.C. over 25cents increases within wages maybe they should seize minimum wage pay create they sure as hell dont do do anything we ask them to do.

If you verbs university, how do you document that within a resume?

Question:
I transferred universities to enroll into a specialized program. I'm immediately applying for internships, and am not sure how to list both university under coaching. I know standard education register is Uni, Degree (graduation date), Major, and then GPA. However, when you verbs uni's, do I state how many course hours I earn before transferring instead of the graduation date?

Answer:
Hello Ceej,

Usually, the number of university attended is not a problem, you just inventory the critical information of dates attended, pet name and location of the institution, and possibly the number of credit hours taken.

The prospective employer is seeking information about when you graduate, the level of lessons you completed, your GPA, your extracurricular involvement, etc. One item of note, if you have a long gap of attendance from one university to another, that may bump up a red flag with a prospective employer. Be prepared to answer question about gap in schooling, or gaps surrounded by employment (if you have worked for more than one company surrounded by the past).

how do I budge roughly speaking starting a Union?

Question:

Answer:
The law is severely simple to understand and the overall process is assured, however getting a union can be difficult depending on how intricate the company is willing to box off a coalition. Most companies will spend over $2,000 per employee on coalition avoidance attorneys. These attorneys utilize scare campaign you wouldn't use on your worse enemy to discourage workers from joining. I am a Union Organizer for one of America's largest confederation.- International Association of Machinists. Check out our website at goiamaw.org- also feel free to contact me through my profile or e-mail below. I am predisposed to provide additional information concerning the LAW and your rights as a worker below the LAW to organize. plus share my experience on how to carry a union at your work, and the true benefits you as a league member receive that companies don't want you to know.

(I own worked in a confederation shop for 18 years. I know I made a decent wage, received obedient benefits, and was treated resembling a human. while producing a quality product contained by a competitive environment, How did I know all this? because adjectives I had to do be look across the street at the workers in the non-union shops that did similar work which where on earth paid much smaller amount while being treated similar to dirt.. )

Thanks.

see if you can gross a budget on minimum wage?

Question:
first off you own to list rent, food, vehicle insurance,utilities(water,gas,... payment, and gasoline. you must use a "40 hr work week"(yes I know you dont bring 40 when you make min. wage). also you enjoy to use current prices for your area surrounded by the budget. i.e. state wages, housing costs etc. if you actually create this budget work I will be completely shocked.

Answer:
I make $14.00 an hr and I can only just make it. Its not gonna come to pass on min wage unless your rent is next to nought, you own your own car and merely get liability insurance. Min wage here is $7.25 and at a 40 hr work week it comes to $290. Take away more or less $60 in that for taxes. That make $920 a month. You are asking the impossible.
I can hardly formulate it work in Norfolk, VA on almost 50k, forget about minimum wage.

assignment interview clothes?

Question:
I have a opportunity interview and not quite sure what I should wear. Its at Kohls, and i cant wear stuff from the store, because they dont get underway until March...

Answer:
You don't necessarily have to dress from near. :) somthing decent and professional may work next to a general purpose.

http://www.cvtips.com/what_to_wear_for_a...

I would conspicuously choose for an office suit and black leather shoes, sheltered.
Good luck!
Find another Kohls and look at how the managers contained by your area dress.
Just wear something nice, NOT revealing. Make sure your clothes are sleekly pressed, your appearance is clean. You should be fine.
every community have places for people that are simply trying to get ahead and they supply them next to free clothing for jobs i'm not discussion about basically clothes we're talking almost clothes outfits for jobs so they can brand name a good general idea. call community resources contained by your area they can put you contained by touch with the right inhabitants i hope i helped. worthy luck to you
What position are you applying for? Dress like you will be dressing on your first morning. I was grant a job in attendance some years ago, and the interviewer made the comment 'I see that you are ready to start work today, and obviously I said yes.

If you are applying for a stock clerk do not go here with a two piece suit and gloves. If you are applying for a manger position, dress according business attire.
It's other better to be overdressed than underdressed for an interview. If you're underdressed, it will likely be interpreted as a sign that you really don't watchfulness if you get the mission. If you're dressed nicely, it shows that you're serious roughly speaking obtaining employment beside the company.

Keep your cleavage and your shoulders covered. Wear slacks and close toed shoes. Never, Never, NEVER wear flip flops. A button up dress shirt and slacks never fails to fashion a good impress. If you really want to wow your potential employer, you could add a fitted blazerand don't forget to iron!

Good luck at your interview!
I be a personnel recruiter for 25 years. The appropriate dress for someone going to an interview, no matter what the position is, would be a threatening blue or gray suit, with black "stewardess" altitude heels, a nice blouse which blends with your suit color, a purse to clash your shoes. The recruiter will make his/her print of you within the first five second, so enter the room with a big smile, and dispense a firm handshake to whomever is interviewing you, whether it be a man or a woman. Investigate the company until that time you go contained by, and have some judicious questions to ask, such as "what are you looking for surrounded by a good employee", or look up the sale and profits records on flash - if the sales are dropping, ask why the recruiter think they are dropping; if they are increasing, point out that you know that fact and it is hugely impressive. I freshly couldn't stand it when an applicant walked surrounded by chewing gum, had no view what job they be applying for, knew zilch about the hospital where on earth they so "desparately" wanted to work, etc. And don't bring up earnings unless the recruiter brings it up first. Later you can ask what the salary extent of the job is. If it's a impartial company, they will give you what the charge and you are worth. If they try to low ball you, negotiate a complex figure. Good luck - and other shake hands when departure and thank the interviewer for his/her time. It's also OK to ask what the next step surrounded by the interviewing process would be, and about how long that would thieve. It's better to say too little than too much. I enjoy heard more or less every bad divorce, every desperate child, every bad marriage ceremony, health problems, etc. That is not chore related - and the recruiter cannot (or should not) even ask questions along those lines.
I don't have a sneaking suspicion that you could go wrong next to a nice pin striped business suit.
Can you go to a Kohl's within another city and get at least possible a necklace or something? Otherwise you can order online. If those both backfire, wear grey dress pants, a pink blouse, pumps and a silver necklace. Look classy and stylish.
You could progress online to kohls and buy something, that could impress them. But if you can't, just be sure to wear blue, similar to navy blue. It have a calming affect.

I just now changed career and I am not healthy, how do I explain why I am subsidise contained by the flea market for employment?

Question:
I recently took a position within the social work field. I love the work however the pay packet scale that be in effect at the time I be employed has lately been readjusted and the bonuses promised enjoy been cut surrounded by half. Now Im not money hungry however, I chose this position due to the reality that it was as close to my former stipend. At this rate I will have to bear on a second job to uphold.

Answer:
I have found that the toughest question are best answered honestly. When you are passionate and sincere interviewers can make clear to and I think they appreciate it.

I have a similar situation because I the educational grazing land so I know the work is good but the income could be better.

You might want to think give or take a few the type of institutions you work with. Explore the outlook and money scale near schools and hospitals as anti state agencies which will have steadier settle rates/contracts.

There is nothing wrong near wanting to improve your situation... employer will understand. Think of this... as a social you are supposed to back others so you should also be able to lend a hand yourself and you need to amend your quality of existence to do so.
tell them your surrounded by debt
You just give the perfect explanation. You don't hold to list any drive on your resume, of course, but when asked, articulate what you just said. Every employer understand the need to wage the bills. Good luck!
You explain it by tellign the truth. You wer enot happy next to the job you have and decided to look for a better one because of money.
I do not know your specific situation nor why you are so money hungry, so i can individual point out that money isn't everything, you need to find a living that you are happy doing, more money won't solve everything. Though if you within desperate need of money to survive (not b/c you requirement that new big blind tv or anyhting like that) next you'll have to only stick with a crummy situation that pays well and be healthy that you can support yourself and/or family.
All you want to do in direct ot explain your situation is just inform the truth.
good luck
Just detail them, "I am not happy", like ya did to us. It made us listen. Then, "shoot for the moon. If ya go down, at least you will park among the stars". You go girl!
If you are currently working contained by your social work position any prospective employer is going to view that as a plus. It is not as if you be fired or quit for some unknown reason.

Let any prospective employer know that you are presently working, however your present employer is adjectives back and you reflect it is best to seek another opening.

Don't express dissatisfaction with your present employer. New employer do not want to hear that you are under salaried or unhappy. Give bad a positive image.
Honesty is usually the best policy. Being clear roughly speaking how the company experienced budget cuts resulting in a lower than agreed upon income would be well hidden in the current monetary climate.
