Careers Employment Questions and Answers

what can employer do if you dont serve your discern?

Question:

Answer:
They can get put a bet on at you if you ever need a suggestion.

Never leave an employer on doomed to failure terms, if you can abet it.
Cry? Most states are right to work. You can quit immediatley with no reprocution.
Nothing really.
they can distribute you a bad referance also not reimburse you your last weeks wages as you enjoy not stuck to your contract which is within nearby rights
give you a doomed to failure referral
They can refuse to pay envelope you or if you have a contract later they can sue you for breach of contract and they can also make it harder for you to win another job by not giving you a hint.
nothing as such. But can subtract money if salary is imminent
it is now against the regulation to give a bleak reference surrounded by the u.k an employer must give a well brought-up reference or none at adjectives
Your employer can do nothing.

Unless underneath a special contract, and you would know because you signed something if that's the case, your employment have a status of "at will". Meaning that you or the employer can terminate the employment at anytime short notice.

An employer would own to provide a valid termination reason within order to avoid paying dismissal which you would be collecting, but they need not endow with notice.

You entail not give make out, even if the employer asks for it. And they all do, for the company benefit, to enjoy time to replace and train someone for your position. The employers regularly become upset from the trouble no-notice causes.

Former employer are the first most contact reference when probing for a new work. Of course, the former employer could give you a discouraging reference (such as describing the interviewer you quit without notice) or they could furnish a good one. However, by directive, the only article they are supposed to divulge is the dates of your employment (from when to when) and how much you made. Saying anything else would unambiguous them to a viable lawsuit from you.
Well i didnt give sense on my last profession, i was a horrible employment and the people in that were so disagreeable, they cant do anything i got remunerated what i was owed plus holiday income. so as far as im aware they cant do anything.
They can not pay you, Take you to court for breach of contract. Give no suggestion. Basically bugger you chances of getting another charge if they so wish!

Why do you want to walk off with out serving mind. Maybe you could get relieve. Speak to the C.A.B
I don't believe there is any allowed issue with departing a job in need giving notice, however the employer may not provide a extraordinarily good hint in the adjectives if it is ever needed.

Don't burn any bridge if you ever need to turn back across it.
I once asked a advocate about this and she researched it and explained it to me. Keep contained by mind, I work in the province of Ontario, Canada so toil laws (and spelling!) may not be like.

There is no explicit law that states you must furnish an employer advance concentration. You are entitled to quit a job on the spot if you want. But in attendance is what is called "professional courtesy" surrounded by the interpretation of employment/labour law. This finances certain conduct is expected by both workforce and employers even though it is not exactly evil. If they don't adhere to professional courtesy, the go-between can factor that into his decision if in attendance are other litigation issues. In the case of distinguish, it is understood that the hand is to give the employer modest advance discern of resignation. The amount of notice is base on experience in the corral of work and the length of service at the company. This is to grant the employer enough time to conscript an equivalent replacement. This means it's expected that if you are a junior member of staff that worked at the company for 2 years or less, you make a contribution 2 weeks notice. If you're within an intermediate position and worked there 5 years, you bestow one month's notice. If you're a senior member of staff, 20 experience in the paddock and 10 years at the company, you give 4 months sense. If you worked there 20 years after you give 6 months. So, let's voice after working at a company 20 years you fly into a rage, unkindly damage sensible company information, quit on the spot and walk out the door, the adjudicate will factor in that you didn't distribute notice surrounded by his decision. Or you're a long time member of staff who suddenly quit one day to sign up the competitor and is being sued for endorsement on company secrets, the intermediary will factor in the washout of notice. Just quiting on the spot in need any other litigious issues, no legal recouse by the employer.

Technically a damp squib to give mind as required by your contract is a breach of contract, and the employer will be entitled to damages to reflect any loss it suffers as a result of the breach. In most cases this funds that if an employer has to nick on short term staff to cover while a replacement is found, or have to outsource your work, and this costs him more than you were compensated he could seek compensation from you for the difference it costs for the time of year of notice. In most employment situations however employer are not in this position or do not bother to lift any action, this does not be going to they can't though. This is the other side of the coin to cases where workforce are dismissed without thought, it's just that the consequences are different for the party. If your contract has any restrictive covenants surrounded by it that would apply during your period of observe and you ignore these you may find that your employer seek an injunction to require you to observe the lingo of these covenants for the relevant period if they are breached, not serving observe does not mean adjectives the terms of the contract end to apply, and yes you may find you get a quotation that reflects what you own done, employers do not hold to give detailed reference but any that they do give must be accurate.

similar line, some "cold calling" firms or "bid centers" allow you to work from home using your home phone. they are not all "dirty talk" chat lines, you could be selling window or insurace from your own home, you get compensated per call etc.

be aware of ones that promise money that sounds too much, they may be a scam

I did, get an associate degree, and I fashion about 7x the twelve-monthly income now that I be 12 years ago. I got grant that I didn't have to retribution back, and some of my friends who didn't qualify for grant got drastically low interest educational loans.

I started a home business, I get rid of rare coins similar to, franklin half dollars, mercury dimes, roosevelt dimes, kennedy partly dollars, peace and morgan dollars. Basically all u.s. coins dated prior to 1964. I repeatedly put together complete sets of coins.

I make just about $2200 to $2800 net per month selling these coins on a variety of free auction websites. I don't use ebay as they are too expensive with their fees to seller.

2 years ago I inherited over 950 thousand silver coins dated prior to 1964, i cart digital photographs of each individual coin and consequently list them on the free auction sites. I enumerate about 200 to 250 coins per month.

It's fun and doesn't thieve much effort. I spend smaller amount than 80 hours a month doing this.

I specialize in Morgan, Peace Dollars and the Franklin partially dollars. But have sold more than 400 complete to date sets of the statehood camp in 2006.

It take awhile to get established, but once you draw from your auction ratings up and a good reputation next to buyers, sales start to nick off as they trust you over other seller.

I don't have to money taxes on my sales contained by my state. I have help others start up doing this, those people buy coins from me and afterwards start listing them on the auction sites. Key to nouns in this is buy low put on the market high.

Answer: You should stay away from CashCreate, Treasure Trooper and other survey Web sites.

It is a waste of time and will create you unhappiness.

If you choose to be suckered contained by and sign up to take surveys and receive, free trials considered you be warned. The minute you administer them your credit card and personal information you have presently opened your computer to unwanted cookies on your sturdy drive, annoying pop-up windows and if you are on a PC you widen your computer to viruses that can wipe you out.

A lot of work to collect the "reward payments" that payout is not worth the go over time. You will need to sign up for several types of offers, most of which require you to use a credit card. You start a week trial service next to varies types of businesses or services, such as, an Internet service provider, book club, credit monitoring service, etc. to achieve your reward. If you don't cancel the trial, you terminate up being charged for the service and respectively service has different rules nearly how and when you can cancel. Very cumbersome!

Since you will want to sign up for at least a dozen offer before you obtain to $100 in rewards, it's markedly easy to forget what you enjoy signed up for, or the problems you will have canceling within time to to be charged the full amount. The Cash Create recruiters you see here over exaggerate how much money you can earn because once you've done the high-dollar trials ($8-10 each), you are left next to small rewards of a dollar or two. The survey business is not an efficient channel to make money and you are more than predictable to loose money in the train.

Have you considered that perhaps you won't prosper? I would append a bit of choleric to your nature to ensure you enjoy some get up and budge to make things come up. That is necessary if you want to prosper. Sorry.

stipulation to find a errand no gcses as i moved out institution?

Question:
need some be to live asap and a job next to decent earnings doesnt matter what it is will be 16 within 3 weeks

Answer:
This is a very desolate question. Why do you want to find somewhere to live? Do you not get on near your parents or were you within care? I know where on earth you are coming from, I left conservatory at 17 and went straight to living beside my boyfriend and working full time. I skipped college/university and started working as an office junior on smaller amount than a pound an hour. I was living surrounded by a council flat in a bad area and living on Iceland pasta. I worked rugged, turned up on time and bookish all I could. Within a year I be junior secretary and within another year I be team secretary. At the age of 24 I get a position as a PA / Office Manager and was earn lb33,000 a year. I think the best you can do is to start at the bottom of a occupation you really want to do and work as hard as you can and shift on as many training courses as you possibly can. Learn as you shift and you can prove that it's not qualifications which take you where you want to stir in life span but common sense and a apposite work ethic.

Try and find out if there are any free courses effective where you live. Do as frequent computer and typing courses as you can so you can get a foot contained by the door.

As for somewhere to live. If you hate living at home but they're relieved to have you - stay. I know it method putting up with stuff you don't resembling but tell yourself it's individual until you get some money below your belt. Perhaps you could get some friends together and rent somewhere but you will inevitability at least a month's rent deposit as powerfully as money for bills etc. so you will need to own had a living for a while to pay for this.
burger king
try building sites for labour jobs you may be capable of get a trade if you impress.

Practise this sentence "Would you like fries beside that".
try to get your gcses 1st, can decline back on them. any tt or be a very successful businessman
travel to the job crux or local connexions bureau, they should be able to assistance, maybe consider going to college to catch some qualifications?
Look for warehouse and or factory work it will remuneration the best money if you have no diploma!

if i were you i would try to grasp an apprenticeship!
get surrounded by contact with social services, they will minister to you. But do it now as they are smaller number likely to give a hand so quickly once you get 16.
Go to Citizens Advice they will put you intouch with general public who will give you adjectives the advice you requirement to start out in this horrible big all-embracing world. What about your family connections ? Firms are more and more reluctant to give job to under 16's because of insurance issues ect, I know this as my daughter, presently 17 has spent since September trying to achieve a job as she didn't want to stay on, she manage to get a few hours contained by a local supermarket but nothing more until in recent times now, she's started a hairdressing apprentiship. Also pay's crap even when you find to my age so be realistic, and capture some more education, an apprentiship might be something to consider as they will foot you while you train.
Good luck with anything you decide.
Sounds similar to you are having a tough time.
Number one on your roll is a visit to Connexions. They operate within most large towns and are contactable on freephone numbers (080 800 13 2 19 and the network at www.connexions-direct.com. They offer support for infantile people on housing, job, benefits, family and training problems.
The hard realness is that even kitchen jobs ask for 3 GCSE's very soon. If you are lucky enough to find a job, it is outstandingly unlikely it will be enough to live on, given you age, unless it is live contained by and board provided, and your employer is willing to overlook your famine of qualifications
I am deduce from what you say that here are problems with your kinfolk. You could try contacting Parentlineplus on 0808 800 2222 to talk things through - it does not situation if you are not a parent, they are there for the children as much as the adults. They might come up next to some strategies you can try to sort the problem out.
Don't despair though, your problem is not unusual, and there are population out there inclined to help you achieve back on course.
Shelter or the Salvation Army are also organisations you could try
- both are surrounded by the phone book.
There are lots of options, but I don't know how clothed you'll find the pay for these possible job I've come up with:

Shop assistant - try mobile phone shops and Gap: they income quite ably for retail

Waiter/Waitress - pay's crap but you get accurate tips in some places

Call hub

You might have to enjoy GCSEs for some of them, but honestly, if you display enthusiasm and are willing to revise you have a prospect.

Good luck!
hi there i know how you surface when i left arts school i didn't have tons gcse's ethier but that doesnt mean you are stupid far from it, from my point of judgment my school wasn't the best within the world.

anyways when i left academy at 16 i started a job as a waitress which to be honest be rubbish, maybe you could do something that asks for junior or perchance you could do a Sous Chef job.

my best adivce would be to look for an nvq duty doing doing you love, we knew this guy he started a panel beaters nvq brief at 16
he did really well at it and he in a minute earns just about 30 grand a year.

near regard to housing you call for to go down to the local housing department or council and fill within one of the housing forms, ask to talk to someone privately and describe them what problems your having they really do assist just be as honest as possible (i moved out at 16 too it's tough but you'll know how to do it) you'll be able to bring back some help near the rent and council tax anyway if your on a low income
and might also know how to get a allow to help near furnishing

take a look at this website that might serve

http://www.connexions-direct.com/...
You could work from home on your computer. You could write articles, sell on eBay,engineer a website, take surveys. More details at http://www.pcworkathome.net/jobsforminor...

Answer:
According to the MOM website: http://www.mom.gov.sg/publish/momportal/...

------------------------
If a Dependant's Pass holder wishes to clutch up employment in Singapore, the employer is required to apply for a Letter of Consent (LOC). The Dependant's Pass holder can one and only begin employment after the employer have received the LOC.

Account Manager or Telemarketer? Is this a obedient occupation move?

Question:
I was offered a duty to contact existing customers monthly that have be sold our real estate marketing service to be paid sure they are using it correctly and to answer their questions. After the 12 month time, I am responsible to get them to sign a modern license. Is this a good art move, or is this a telemarketer in disguise? I am required to be on the phone for 3 hours per sunshine. I have a BA within Advertising and strong career goal. I don't know if this is going to help or slow down my career footsteps.

Answer:
It's not really a telemarketer since you're not making cold calls to prospective customers. The profession is customer service and sales combined. When it's time for renewal you'll be trying to "sell" the service for another year. This chore doesn't seem to be surrounded by line next to your degree, but discussion with clients and using your persuasive skills would indubitably give you experience for an hype related job within the future. Take the profession, but keep looking for another one that's more occupation related.
I think it is telemarketing, if not why 3 hours a day on phone, you hold your bathis is not in your best interest surrounded by my opinion...walk for better..good luck.
Sounds close to telemarketing to me. If you are interested in sale, all of the money making job are in outside sale.
accounts manager is the best as very soon a days u have great emergency for this job surrounded by this commercial world.
hoping a great success.
Is this what you hold that degree for? Is public relations what you really think is going to fullfill your duration goals. We sure could use more doctors and nurses, firemen and police officer. How about one of those? Help or frustrate? I don't see a clear path from here.
You could stir for a more honest form of work and just become a hooker. At tiniest hookers provide a service people WANT.

Of course you go into advertising, so you aren't too far from prostitution anyway.

And no, I'm not anyone sexist. I'd say the exact same entity to a male telemarketer. It's a far smaller quantity honorable profession than just spreading your legs and letting your john do what he pleases.

what are the best places for looking for a career contained by London any tips on opening hunting.?

Question:

Answer:
I got mine at reed.co.uk.

Apply to everything that you deduce you can do. Also, don't worry give or take a few the "we require people near 60 years experience and 8 degrees". As long as you know you can do the job, apply.

If you procure the interview, you get it. If you don't, it's no big treaty. There are more jobs out at hand you can apply for. A job may look approaching it's good written, but until you start you won't know if you like it or not, whether the those you work with are nice, if the travel is pious, etc, etc. So if you don't get a career you have applied for, don't verbs. It could turn out bad anyway.

Persistence is the push button. If you sign up with an agency that is to say not web-based, go into their office every other day to see them. This method it keeps you at the front of their mind so once an opportunity comes up, you are the first individual they think of. It also shows them that you are putting contained by the effort and will be a polite candidate.

Agencies won't transport people forward for job if they don't like them. If they start sending anyone to interviews, they look doomed to failure and risk losing contracts with companies.

Remember to other look smart and presentable and make sure you endow with a good outline.

If you need the money, cart whatever comes along to capture an income and keep looking for a better opportunity in your spare time (not while you're at work!).

If you entail help next to your CV, you can always ask the agencies to assistance you. They know what the employer's want to see. Just sign up with them, construct an appointment and ask for their help. It shows you are feeling like to work hard.
Become a bobby?

Been Offered Promotion At Work But Been Offered My Dream Job Too. HELP!?

Question:
I am a carer and I have be doing that for 4 years now. We enjoy a new executive who for a change have noticed potential within me to further my career. But my dream livelihood has other been to work near animals mainly horses or dogs, I used to do this up to that time I was a carer but theres no money within it so I put it behind me and moved on.
However I have a phone call from a friend who owns an animal psychiatric help centre they hold offered me a job on 3months trial as an animal psychoanalyst working with dogs, cats, horses etc. But I will own to go module time as a carer as it's ontl 18 hours a week and i'm on 3 months trial it's less money too. But my boss ring me to pop in to see him today I've newly got rear and i'm in total confusion as to what to do because I own been offered the seniours post which is more money and better prospects of moving up the lader.
I really don't know what to do as I love animals and would be greatly happy within that job but otherwise I'm happy within my job at the mo too. HELP!!

Answer:
A dilemma indeed as it sounds approaching you like both job.
I think the entity to do here is create a list of adjectives the pros and cons of each errand. By doing this you can see what means more to you.
Another point to take into commentary is if you are going to change craft the best time to do it is now as if you pilfer the promotion you will get used to the extra money and prospects etc.
If you bear your dream job immediately you will actually draw from to find out if it is your "dream job" and not keep thinking to yourself "what if".
Which is more celebrated money or happiness?

Or can you cram to love the thing that give you money?
Just remember this.

The bill collectors dont accept elation in clearance.
If I were surrounded by your situation I would try to do what would make me the happiest contained by the long term. Easier said than done I know.

Perhaps you should help yourself to the job your boss is offering while voluntering contained by an animal environement - best of both worlds perhaps? This process you could save some money so if you establish later on that you would resembling to work Full time with Animals you will enjoy some money to help near the fact it pays smaller number.

What ever you decide I hope it works out for you. :)
You must do what you regard as is right, the reason you asked this cross-examine is that you know that the animals job is a pipe dream , stay next to the money and work with animals within your spare time,
Good Luck!
hun - go for the dream undertaking. It is better to regret things you did rather than you didn't do and if the animal psychoanalysis job give you enough mony to live bad then travel for it.
And speak to your current boss and explain it to him. If the animal therapy charge does not work out then he may still own a position for you.

good luck any way.
If it's solitary 18 hrs per week, couldn't you do both? That would be 9 hr days sat-sunday, and then regular work days the rest of the week. Also, will the animal entry be there contained by like 6 months? Your promotion is definately an exploding hold out, but will your friend wait for you to retrieve some money and see how things go at work? Loving what you do is celebrated; but if your career go well plenty the thing that you love can be a hobby, so you bring the best of both worlds.
Well, since it seems that you are relaxed in your current position, i have a sneaking suspicion that it would be better to carry on next to your job. You are have a good settle afterall. To be able to fulfill one's dream is wonderful but accepting your promotion seem your best prospect to me, afterall you yourself left that errand before, what if you yearning to do it again! But if you think you can organize a good time with your dream career, then progress for it!
thats a hard ruling to make < intuitively i would follow my heart and decide which brief offers the best adjectives prospects for myself ie job fulfilment , or fianancial , wnich matters most to you ,money ,or something else
sweetie, we with the sole purpose live once, i do not want to give you desperate advice , but it sounds close to you have the drive to progress as far as you want working with animals. you know if you dont at most minuscule try , you will always regret have not done what you love. i belive everyone should love their job. i myself disappeared being a nurse to become an emt. and i love my livelihood. good luck and GOD BLESS.

Question:
have applied for another work in a video shop, smaller number hours due to pregnancy but didnt put on application that im pregnant, when should i tell them i know they cant sack me for be pregnant but can they not hire me if they knew.

Answer:
They'll probably finale up sacking you anyway. They'll find some other principle Too slow -- shows up late -- not productive ample -- etc.
If you're 6 months pregenat I think it'll perceive at the interview! Technically they can't refuse to hire you because you're pregenant - but they can hire some one else and only just make up any other excsue for why they didn't hire you.
In adjectives honesty they probably won't hire you because they'll end up losing money and it's not worth it for them, but you should own told them that you're pregnant. But then if you dance for an interview, they'll soon get the message.

I feel you'll be struggling now unless you bring something temporary.
They can not discriminate against you, even if you are pregnant, if you can do the mission, then they own to take you seriously.
They can sack you if you haven't be working for them for a year
They would be able to see that your pregnant when you be in motion for the interview!

Can't be easy to find a employment being pregnant especially at 6mths, so well-mannered luck! You may feel you are person disadvantaged but you have to imagine from the employers point of vision. Consider joining a temp agency

Although legally they not submit you the job because you are pregnant, but they may pick up on something minor why you don't draw from the job.
check adviceguide.org.uk which is the online citizen counsel or G00GLE parentline and follow useful links on their website re organisations offering free legally recognized support re parenting issues
you have to enlighten them, thats the law i am afraid. you wont bring back maternity walk off either. sorry.
You shouldn't enjoy to work hon ...The stud should be takin care of you adjectives
I think you are really going to struggle to find a profession now until after the babe is born. I know it seems really undeserved but can you honestly say that you would hire somebody, train them up and and then they bestow for several months to have a toddler.

I know the law say that they have to consider you, but in that are a million reasons for them to find an excuse not to. ( Put yourself surrounded by their shoes)

Hope everything goes ably with the newborn.
If they find that u could not work according to them, due to u being pregnant, they can ask u 2 depart the job.
Why don't you turn along to your local Job centre Plus Office and ask them for some suggestion. You could claim Jobseekers allowance or Income support. They may be able to steer you surrounded by the right direction.

As for the the job you enjoy just applied for i want you all the luck surrounded by the world but the employer might not want to employ you...not because you are pregnant...but because you enjoy shown that you were dishonest (by not recitation them you were pregnant on the application). It's other better to be truthful about these things. It will show up that you are pregnant if you get an interview so the subject will unequivocally be discussed.

Anyway...Good Luck!

Why don't you try agencies for temporary roles? You would be entitled to parenthood leave but not motherliness pay from an employer immediately but you will receive statutory maternity payment directly from the government. Contact your local livelihood centre for guidance - they may also have some transient roles until the baby is born.

Good luck beside everything
Got news for you, they cannot sack you human being pregnant and they cannot refuse to hire you because you are pregnant, the company will probably hold to hire someone to cover whilst your on Maternity, but since your not eligible for maternity retribution from your present employer dont think you should own much of a problem. take it your within the UK

Unfortunatley, various supervisors have a a variety of number of complexes. They tend to protract those complexes and inadequacies on underling when they move into positions of power. Unfortunatley, they usually make unpardonable bosses, and their staff has extremely lofty turnover. The boss usually makes up some lame excuse for this reality, and is never repromanded.

Unfortunatley, in the USA, ancestors are rarely promoted base on merit or ability, but to some extent time served or "*** kissing" utilization.
No. They can't.

There is a discipline called "coerciveness", but is solely to be shown when there is urgency. In rest of the circumstances, supervisor cannot do anything he wants.
