Careers Employment Questions and Answers

Has she moved on, and should I?

Question:
I left my employment 7 months ago, but still currently work in duplicate geography as the last work, calling on the same customers. From time to time, I transport "hello" e-mails and text messages to my former boss to preserve communication lines open. Besides, I know that I gone in angelic terms, although I also know that she never really know the real reason that made me leave. I not here not because of her, but for other reasons. I thought that she and I have a good boss-employee relationship, but I quality that she took my resignation as some kind of betrayal. Initially, she used to answer the e-mails and workbook messages. Lately, I get no response. I suspect that she requirements me to leave her alone and that she would similar to for each of us to verbs. However, I see no reason why we can't remain friends. Your thoughts, please.

Answer:
Your right.
Stop it.
Not professional.

As a Boss, I would enjoy be courteous and brief the first time and not replied again after that. She is not your friend or buddy and it serves no benefit to her to talk to you. At this point she professionally doesn't thoroughness "what your motivations" are for any thing.

Sorry for that authenticity check. Direct your energy elsewhere.
Just drop her a "business" holiday card annually, to maintain the lines "open" and be courteous at business events like Chamber meeting or such.
First of all, don't mix freindshop and work. Regardless of how YOU reckon of it, friendship is there regardless of financial gain, and work is lone there because of financial gain. They are two separate things.

I would suggest you'd keep a tight rein on your communication with your former boss to few times a year, probably less. It is great that you moved out in well brought-up terms. You'll be surprised, next on in his vivacity, how good of a declaration you made. Equally, it is important that you don't share too much, merely in skin you might need her again. Things you share might come support to hurt you if you do it excessively.
It is really hard to remain friends near coworkers after you leave. It have happened to me. People cart everything way too individually. I don't understand why other individuals take peoples enthusiasm choices so personally. IT munificent of pisses me off. It have happened to me only just, i just put surrounded by my month notice at my work, and the lady i work the closest near didn't talk to me for week.

Based on your own experience contained by the workplace, what would you do to gross work an amusing place to be?

Question:
IMO I think that employer could put more value into productive workers and proffer them more in the track of health insurance, 401k, and wellness. What almost you?

Answer:
It's more than the extrinsic that matters, or money. Although, that's nice beside bonuses, 401K, healthcare, raises, etc.

But, my inference, with a tad of research, is that it take many elements to create hand satisfaction. This includes: 1. admission for work well done and years of service
2. training through college courses, graduate courses, semininars and conferences
3. craft development and mentoring - tolerate an organization develop a pool of leaders from their current motivated member of staff population
4. remove job stress and increase post security
5. work-home flexibility (let ppl telecomute, work different hours, work sharing where on earth 2 people work one job)
6. communication!
7. relationship and cooperation
8. proper skill utilization - if someone in one dept can assistance a person within another dept, let them.
I could stir on and on...but those are the biggies to me.
Absolutely. Going to work should prove to be more than a job, it should be a job. I am fortunate enough to work for a company that values adjectives that you have mentioned. In PS, yearly recital bonuses and cost of living raises are nice as resourcefully

Too many companies today are focused on the bottom line and don't reward human resources for their hard work. Cutting holidays and benefits does not engender workers happy; if anything, it frustrates them. However, companies want to realize that training employees for investigational tasks will reward both the company and the employee. It would be nice, too, if companies held an occasional shindig or barbeque just to say-so thanks for the pains of all.

I do mystery shopping for extra money. It doesn't take-home pay alot but I get alot of nice freebies & most of the time you can help yourself to your kids. Plus the days & times are really flexible. I have a document of a bunch of places that hire without charging on my website at http://locofortrains.tripod.com... I made it when I get fed up next to trying to find places like that, that would say aloud it was free & have a catch or it completed up costing money to actually bring in any. So I decided to create a website to serve others.
I'm an ebay seller selling collectible children's books. I find my books at the library booksales, garage sale and thrift stores. Used books are so cheap to buy. The ones I buy are like 50 cents respectively at the booksales, and I get between $10 to $200 per book. Ebay is a great track to supplement your income. THE CLEAR CHOICE

The One Opportunity you should not pass up.

Here is some information I would similar to to share with you give or take a few a new program. A 2x2 that cost $275.00 to team up and you also pay one time extra $29.00 and the company places two general public under you and they do it right away.

You can merge with 1 position or 3 , or 7 positions and if you connect with 1, 3, or 7 positions they will qualify respectively position for you by placing 2 people beneath you in respectively position for that one time $29.00.

This was complex for me to believe, so I always do my dudilagence anyway and I call the company and the Fella I talked to told me what I a short time ago told you was true, Guaranteed!

This program have been running for 2 1/2 years within Europe and just started 2 months ago here surrounded by the USA.

I got this from a friend of mine that fixed on 1-30-07 with 7 positions $1.925.00 and the one time $29.00 and he get paid on 2-16-07 $2,900.00 and have another $2,100.00 coming to him.

You get compensated $1000 when you cycle and they take out $275.00 to put you within again and send you a check for $725.00 and you will get hold of that per position over and over.

I asked him how long does it take for them to contribute us 2 people and he told me they assign us 2 relations right away. Yes Right Away!

Then on top of that you earn a 50% commission on those 2 society and any other people you sponsor. So explicitly another $362.50 you will automatically make on the 2 they administer you and everyone else you sponsor over and over . ( only if you want to sponsor)

So a 2x2 that pays out BIG TIME and no sponsoring required is basically to good to hang about on.

You should at least check it out for yourself if you want to product some FAST CASH.

The 1st thing you should do is to listen to the FREE
Sizzle Call- 2- Minute Overview 8OO-896-2241

Then verbs up a F.O.D. The FOD number is 512-505-6812 . Then you can call them and ask for Craig Isler. . You will be asked to set off a message and your phone number and he will call you put money on ASAP.

There number is 303-480-5700 . I just combined myself with the 7 Cycle Centers. I integer making money does not get any easier than this.

They plan to hold there ( Our ) International website up Saturday, so we are some of the 1st populace to join this program here surrounded by the USA.

So after you do your dudilagence yourself and check it out. Let me know if you want in?

ABU DHABI JOB OFFER near USD1350 SALARY. ENOUGH?

Question:
Need details please.

USD1350 won't include accomodation, food, transportaion, etc.

Will I still be able to pick up money for my family and myself?

And another article, I still need VIsa for me to step in Abu Dhabi right?

How long is the process of getting a UAE Visa?

Answer:
Depends on what big-hearted of lifestyle you follow.

USD 1350 approx 4900 uae dirhams. Accomodation charges are very dignified in Abu dhabi in a minute. But you can try sharing accomodation at upto 1500 dirhams/ month

I would suggest that if you are coming by yourself and if you spend very little you can recover a little I don`t know..But its difficult if you are planning to come with kinfolk and if you will be the sole income source.

For complete visa information check out link.

http://guide.theemiratesnetwork.com/livi...
You might seize more reponses if you gave a few more details yourself.

For instance, $1350 is the earnings for what? Makes a big difference if you're talking per time vs. per year.

Also, you say that won't include expenses (like accomodation, food, etc.) but you don't utter if they've offered anything else to cover those?

And it also depends on whether they're planning to pay you W2 status vs 1099 status. Getting compensated on a 1099 basis will denote that you'll take it on the chin for at least possible an extra 15% in self-employment taxes, so that's another factor to consider.

Best of luck!

What is the best channel to start an interview?

Question:
Example, once u see the interviewer, do u greet the person eg Good morning and hang about for the person to start asking u qns or do you greet the soul Good morning, my name is xXXX?

Answer:
to start and conclude the interview with a firm greeting - especially if your interviewer is a man - but don't try to rip his hand sour.
Preparation:
Think about your skills, interests, strengths and weakness.
Research the Organization:

Employers expect you to demonstrate knowledge of their collective. You should be able to articulate what programs and positions the company offer, and how your abilities spread its needs within these areas. You should also be aware of general information in the order of the company's size, location, services and products. You can find this information on the internet, by using employer resources in the craft library, or by writing to the company for literature.
Materials:

Make sure you know the name of the interviewer, and the time and the place of the interview. Get proper directions and plan to arrive impulsive. Bring several copies of your résumé and any other relevant documents, such as samples of writing, projects you've worked on, awards or photos. Don't forget to hold the names, address and phone numbers of references next to you. Ask the interviewer for a business card so you'll have the essential information to write a thank you note.
Appearance:

Dress professionally, conservatively and comfortably.
Mock Interview:

The Center for Career Services offer a unique opportunity to involve yourself in in an interview experience near our professional staff before you hold an employment interview. You should dress as if you were on an actual interview, so you can return with a more realistic grain of being contained by an interview and see how you come across. You should also bring a résumé to allow the career professional to ask you question relevant to your experiences. The mock interviews are videotaped so that your responses can be reviewed and discussed. A review of the videotape will show you what you did economically and what you should work on, enabling you to be more comfortable and confident when the time arrives for the tangible thing.

The Interview:

Questions:

Prepare intelligent question - don't ask questions you should enjoy known the answers to through reading the company literature. Don't ask something like salary or promotion but focus on the duty environment (typical day, training, supervision). Be prepared for surprise question. Some interviewers will ask you a question beside no right or wrong answer just to see how you fiddle with it.
Basic Guidelines:

Maintain good eye contact. Take every opportunity to bring back your best qualities across. Listen conscientiously and answer questions concisely and intelligently.

Follow Up:

Employer:

The employer may follow up beside you to request additional information (letters of quotation, transcripts). He may also follow up to invite you back for a second interview or to agree to you know that currently there are no positions available for you.
Candidate:

You should other follow up with a thank you document to the interviewer. If you do not hear from an employer within a probable time period (two to three weeks), it is immaculately acceptable to write a epistle inquiring about the status of your application.General Tips:Get comfortable discussion about yourself, your job and your accomplishments. Practice out loud and within front of family and friends.

Honesty, integrity, attitude, vocal skills and enthusiasm are the top qualities most employer are looking for in a competitor. Employers will ask questions that require candidate to talk going on for weaknesses, and hold your body language into rationalization as part of the answer.

Enthusiasm can sometimes counter a lack of experience or removal of training in some nouns.

And watch the "umms," "likes" and "you know."

Bring with you your Social Security number or card, driver's license, résumé, and the name, job titles, address and phone numbers of three references.

Don't fashion your #1 choice of employment your first interview.

Know exactly why an employer should hire you and articulate this by citing experiences that best demonstrate your capabilities.

Wear comfortable, professional clothing. Do not chew gum or smoke.

Display a competitive crest. Think of leadership positions you own taken on and show how you have succeeded.

Be a great conversationalist. Many interviewers complain that they enjoy a difficult time getting candidates to sermon. Think of the interview as a two-way conversation in which you describe your most relevant skills, ask intelligent question and convey a sense of enthusiasm about the position. Don't hang around passively for the interviewer to ask you about your strongest virtues; make sure you work them into the discussion at every opportunity.
You enunciate hello and introduce yourself while extending your hand for a grasp. Make sure you have a FIRM grip... weak grasp = weak start to an interview.

If you are wearing a heading tag manufacture sure you wear it on the same side as the paw you are shaking hands near. This way the personage is able to look right up your arm and see your nickname... it makes a right impression and it is proper etiquette.
Firm grip while making eye contact, accompanied by the appropriate greeting. Then , relax, sit attentively & answer question as they are posed.
you shake their hand and influence how you doing today ,,[they should already know your name] and then they influence busy as ever or just fine if its the first consequently they are in to chit chat subsequent when in their organization look at the piucture and say is that your lil boy??blah blah ,,,if they read aloud just fine they are azzholes and hang on to it strictly professional
I personally extend my appendage and with a heat up smile say Good morning. My nickname is XXXX. Thank you for seeing me. I then loaf to be given permission to sit down.
,Greet next to a firm handshake - but not bone crushing look at your interviewer. Wait to be asked to sit down and allow the interviewer to start the process - normally they enjoy a series of questions they would close to to ask based upon your resume or cv dream up about respectively question and consequently answer - also have some ask that you have prepared - as it shows you own done some research and are interested in the company
Start near a smile and a GOOD handshake..not firm not in poor health, but hearty. Make sure it's pattern to web (btwn your thumb and pointer finger). Say Hello/goodmorning! My name's Jenn Froo.' they'll speak i'm blah blah blah and usually ask how areyou.. don't go into great detail, only a 'I'm well, how are you?' smile, be friendly, and answer honestly. When you take off, ask them a question (it's other good to show you want to revise more) and to THANK THEM FOR THEIR TIME. Also, when you leave, sent them a small thank you details..if they receive a thank you note from you, it shows that you really appreciated their time, and you'll probably be elected over everyone else :)
1- Suitable greeting depending on the time or situation or occasion.
2- Suitable grip, if you’re a female it should copy it.
3- Always eye contact during the interview, a focused eye contact.
4- Answer when you’re asked. Don't give unnecessary information and don't agree too much.
5- Always keep a friendly smile.

It wont take much money to attain it going and they are willing to front me fragment of my shareIf i choose china i will only see my wife 4 times a year but will craft TONS of money and we plan to sell contained by 5 years tops..i wouldnt just do it for the money..im pissed i dont hold a jogb and this could be huge. what should i do?wish i could admore

Answer:
Of course you are right that you hold not provided enough information. I go to China as a senior in college posterior in 93, studious the language and remained in attendance for 10 years. At one point I partnered with another American for a few years contained by Shanghai. Our business also targeted the foreign/expat community. In my 10 years in China I hold had copious friends, both Westerners and Chinese, who have started their own businesses, and I can relate you that NONE of them, myself included, made "TONS" of money, although we all worked our asses sour. One got screwed by his partner when their business started to become hugely successful, one get arrested and deported, one had his business stolen from him by the administration, one is currently operating 2 Western restaurants in Shanghai, three American partner founded a dot com which had 50 organization one day and be liquidadting its assets the next, and contained by my case the authorities blackmailed us into selling our business once we started becoming successful. Still, I regard as I can speak for all of us when I utter that none would trade the experience for anything.

Which brings us to you... I have no aim to believe that your business will be successful. Nothing personal, but even here in the U.S., where on earth you have a transparent legalized system, access to capital, suitable market information, fully grown infrastructure, availability of human talent, etc. (none of which you will have surrounded by China) still 8 out of 10 new businesses go amiss! Your story - went to China, met some business guys who said they know everyone and his brother, figure out a great business opportunity, chance of a lifetime, I lone have to put contained by a little possessions - sounds like the story just about the shoeshine boy with the hot stock tip. My assessment is that you hold no idea what you're getting into and your probability of success are too slim to risk throwing away your marraige.

If you want to discuss this within more detail feel free to donate me a call. From someone who have been in that and done that, it would be my pleasure to offer my counsel: 212-847-7175. Good luck. -Hank

Good job for preteens within MD,DC,or VA?

Question:
Does any one know where a pre teen can find a bit time, full time, day, evening,or summer military camp job and acquire paid for working, or acquire community sevice hours. BUT MOST LIKELY GET PAID.

Just mail me at solidoffer11@yahoo.com beside subjet- Jobs. I will send a relationship of best website where you can find angelic job offer, tips and resources.

Best wishes
all grocerie stores or trade urself thats wat my sister does shes #1
Here are my suggestions, in demand:

1) Take a talent you have, and tutor kids next to it. If you're good at math, ask your elementary college math teacher to hook you up next to a kid that needs tutoring. If you're musical, later teach private course, and volunteer at a band military camp.

2) Dogwalking and babysitting. Great money, but inconsistent hours. Plus, everybody and their cousin is babysitting these days.

3) Take a lifeguard citations class, and get a chore doing something at the local pool. Or, if you do sports, become a referee. (I reffed soccer for years, at roughly speaking $16 a game.)

4) Try to seize your parents to hire you to file or sort article at their office.

5) If you travel to any particular store, resembling Abercrombie or something, then build a appropriate relationship with the administrator, and try to get hired for any assignment they will offer you. This may be easier said than done at your age.

The good job won't be available to you at this age, sorry.
Grocery stores, fast food or Target. Chick-Fil-A loves to hire students.
Most states require work permit for kids under the age of 15, but I'm not sure almost the minimum age limit for a child to work.
Most museums, at lowest possible in the VA nouns, encourage teens to volunteer, although some hold a minimum age limit beside volunteering as well.
If your teen requests a paying summer job, she can other babysit neighbor kids.
yes i want a job fruitless

Should i start a craft surrounded by computers next to one and only scientific conservatory training?

Question:
is this worth even considering to start a career surrounded by say network computers if i have merely gotten technical institution training and get my A+ cert, shelter + cert, and a few others. or would it just be a fritter away of time without a 2-4 year college amount?

Answer:
It could be a start but you need to work really complicated to get to the top versus one who have degrees.
in fact, no it's not a waste of time but, the merely thing you should be consistent is that..are you capable of funding up all those certificate? I mean do you in actual fact have the skills and indisputable world knowledge that employer think you enjoy with those certs? You can attain a job as a backing desk person, that's where on earth most IT people start out as. You can draw from promoted within a few months to Tier 2 comfort desk support and make more money. From nearby you can move up the ladder and eventually become Network Admin. There are plenty of inhabitants who will hire you for your certs. It's just that their delirium of what they want isn't exactly what most IT people hold (college degree). Experience is always better than a college scope.

But if you want to get into this grazing land you got to start out at the bottom.

What should i wear to my work interview??

Question:
tommorow i have a errand at staples and i dont know what i should wear?? I dont know if it is ok to wear a pair of nice jeans or do i own to wear black pants??

Answer:
dress formal n look smart
don't wear jeans. it is other better to overdress a little than to underneath dress. look at what employees are wearing for the career you are applying for and wear something similar
You'd be much better wearing black slacks. Some businesses have a strict "no jeans" policy, but even if this place isn't one of them, beside very few exceptions, you're other better off going a short time more formal than jeans.
First I'd make sure to shower and be verbs and fresh, I mean no offense but I would support no cologne and no perfume, perhaps somewhat deodorant yes.
Clothes wise, probably some dressy pant or a longer skirt but not party dressy more similar to formal and not super formal like for a funeral or marriage ceremony, but more casual approaching, and a buttoned shirt or a blouse, well, newly look the part and I agree it is better a moment or two over than under dressed.
Doesn't hold to be perfectly pressed but organized and straight and not something that's been sitting rumpled contained by a drawer lol, I think you gain the drift ok so just look trim and decent and you should be fine.
Oh, and I would be paid sure to arrive a solid 15 minutes before appointment time, worth you don't have to totter in the store that untimely but give yourself extra time when you walk out in covering of traffic and what have you, you can other blow off a few minutes sitting contained by your car after you arrive but don't be unpaid 'k.

Good luck
Don't dress just to look approaching the other employees. Dress to impress.

A pant suit is always best. If you already own black pants you can buy a suit jacket to game at target starting at $25.

Trust me, it will be worth the investment.

Buy something simple, not trendy, so it will be versatile.

With your pant suit you should wear a button up, collared blouse, or at least a nice shirt to be exact not low cut. Close toed black shoes are best. Avoid flashy jewelry or over the top makeup. Wear your hair up to present the most professional appearance.

Your job might not require you to dress similar to this for an interview, but it will give the best general idea and give you an threshold over the other candidates.
Dark bathe jeans that are not lowcut and have a bootcut fit and beyond doubt no rips, tears, or fraying are fine. They should look like slacks, really. If not, freshly wear nice black slacks and a button up shirt.
Try to keep your makeup inborn, and jewelry to a bare minimum. Another trick is to verbs your hair stern, as it looks professional and shows your face. This, along near good posture and a relaxed smile, grant off body spoken communication that say "I really appreciate this, and I want to be here!"
Good luck! The reality that you are asking shows you care. That is really what matter when you go out for the situation.
I think that's belong to your position & Staples's culture. If you work within office I devise you should ware a shirt and dark color trousers or skirt.
Easy on the jewelry and makeup. Conservative hear style.

Go procure "em!
Basically any job interview that you budge to you should always dress business unattached. A nice pair of slacks or jeans and dress shirt would be appropriate for the staples work, you don't want to look out of place.. Just hold on to it simple but neat and don't overdue it.. remember No Sneakers

If you expect to work from your chair at home on your workstation, I'm afraid the simple answer is no, at least not in need considerable research and a fair to extensive investment of time on your fragment, I think you would be better stale networking near friends and making job hunting your current full time career.
I wouldn't worry too much, my friend be out of work for a long time but that's what he did, he made job hunting his full time post. Every day he checked some ad, made a few calls, go to at least one but usually more interviews / week, and talk to friends, and just kept working the system until sooner or later he found what he was looking for.
Hopefully here exists a better answer, and if so then maybe someone else provides it, but this is my recommendation and I craving you the best of luck.
