It have all the earmark of a scam. Bad web page next to lots of ridiculous claims, and lots of big numbers to impress you with, and lots of odd colors to mess with the eye. In extension, they claim "largest free access to openings at 60K to *a million??!"... that's pretty blatant horse-pucky when Monster.com is the biggest and everyone knows it.

However, hand over it a try, AFTER you have checked Monster, Hotjobs, Yahoo Jobs, Dice.com, and the other big players. If they ever ask for money, newly walk away.




Offered a unknown job-how to set a start date?

I was offered a unsullied job today (the net exceeded my expectations and I was competent to negotiate some benefits in as well). I needed to see how to handle a start date-they want me to start surrounded by 2 weeks. I would like to cart 3-for a few reasons. I would resembling a few "down days" between the 2 jobs as my current livelihood is high stress and I want to decompress and budge in fresh to the foreign job. I will be shifting insurance and want to get contained by some doc appts for my son and myself on my current plan which has terrifically low copays. My son's day concern would be closed two days during the first week I start the new profession (going by 2 wks) for staff training and I had already put surrounded by for time off beside my current job to be home those days. Do I need to explain my reason for starting in 3 weeks vs 2? I assumed that they would own taken longer to make an extend.

I would a moment ago let them know adjectives of the reasons you stated. They are adjectives very logical reason for wanting to push things back a bit.

Maybe suggest working partially days in that third week, if they're insistent on you coming surrounded by.

BE HONEST! But if they say they hold to have someone asap, do it if you want the available job!

They might be able to work near you, but they might not be able too. They may own someone to train you only during that week, or may hold that position that must be filled that week.

In the distinguished scheme of things, 1 week is not going to build a huge difference. Ask for the time you need. Since you (and they) already know that you're the one they want, it's most feasible that they will make accommodation for you.

I suggest you simply be honest - you were thinking they would help yourself to longer to make an present, and you have some pre-scheduled appointments that you obligation to attend. (They dont need to know in the region of a few down days you take past its sell-by date...) Remember - they want you, so they will be willing to lurk five more days...

YES! Explain to them the things going on and that you really need three weeks instead of two. Make faddy reference to the Dr's Appointments and the insurance change. They should be understanding.

If I thought it be something I could work for or might enjoy once I started doing the errand, then I would enjoy to decide whether it would be a angelic move (career wise) and if the pay be worth it. So I guess either alternative you mentioned depending on the specific situation.

Then she come back and told them she can't do reception anymore. They put an classified ad on the internet for the reception position. I am going back to cleaning within a couple of weeks. The worst part is how I found out they have an ad out I be looking on the internet and saw the ad. No one told me.Yes my boss know I want the job but he doesn't vigilance he wants me fund in cleaning. What should I do? Please minister to!

Look for another job ..unmistakably they don't really respect you.
Get another job and disappear them when they need you most, when the scheduling is hectic.

You most promising can go to a temp agency and grasp a job as a receptionist or doing something else.

Is near a community or religious organization where on earth you live that can help you to prepare a resume? if none else, JFCS is non-sectarian and give classes and literature on how to do a resume, how to look ofr work, etc. It is fee base but they will charge you very little if you don't own any money.

Since you wrote the above without a spelling or typing error, I would suggest that you can add typing and research to your skillset.

I think your best bet is to humanely confront your boss about what he's looking for within a receptionist. Obviously, you are good adequate in an emergency but nearby is something else that he's looking for. Ask him in a serious behaviour that reflects your honest desire to know what's "holding him back" from letting you keep hold of the job. It could be something stupid such as--you're the individual person he can trust to enjoy total free rein of the offices to verbs everything!--A well trusted cleaning crew is a serious issue in business, since the cleaners usually own access to people's private space and personal information. More so than the office receptionist. It may be something serious that you can increase on. He may be looking for somebody with a particular level of computer skills, family skills etc. If it is a matter of skills you may know how to remedy the problem at your local community college. It could also be a matter of appearance! The receptionist is repeatedly the first person see at the office and sets the tone. You may own unwittingly been dressing inappropriately for the job--what one entity thinks is a "great outfit" is another's perception of "bimbo." Office's have a bias to run through receptionists--as you've seen. Try to work on any changes he suggests and you may find yourself offered the charge next time or you may find a living as a receptionist somewhere else.
