Being a sports reporter. I've been one for five years in a minute and the idea of person paid to see sports was awesome at first. I've be cussed out by multiple minor league baseball coaches, I once had to write a piece while interviewing a very stoned and sleepy Damon Stoudamire, and a short time ago try watching six hours of 9-10 year-old softball and not want to kill yourself. One time, an over-zealous soccer mom/soccer tournament volunteer refuse to let my photographer and me cover their tournament, depsite anyone invited and showing her all our credentials. She thought it be very grotesque that we could come and write about any child we considered necessary to and take their photos, treating us similar to we were pedophiles. We chewed her out, go back to the bureau and told our editor, he called the tourney organizer and get her thrown off the organize committee (that's like facing execution for soccer moms), and my tabloid never covered that tournament again.
My job have its perks, but it's extremely difficult and it confirms how stupid people really are.

Don't make the mistake of thinking you are so central to the company you can behave anyway you like. I have one guy do that to me and he went from later to first place on the lay off document.
