The standard of living is nice, but take a job on Seoul if not it can get considerate of boring and lonely. But there are lots of other foreign teacher in Seoul to swing out with and walk clubbing with.

Sorry this doesn't pertain to the areas you asked just about, but I think it's still pertinent guidance.

What's a cover epistle? And the resume do business is...?

Question:
First off, can someone please explain what exactly a cover missive entails. Secondly, what are the straightforward do's and dont's on a resume? What info do I put there, when is it too much, when is it too cheesy?

Answer:
A cover missive is used to introduce you as a person to a company when they don't know anything around you. In it, you would briefly explain why you are sending them your resume, why you're interested in their company, and what benefit you could be as cut of their company, and finally what you expect from them as a result of them receiving your resume (interview, phone phone up, etc.)

The resume on the other hand, is usually an information guide to your work existence. It starts with an object, and from there can jump several ways depending on what type of resume you use. Work experience and education are almost other included. There are variations depending on resume type.

Do's: Always use definitive verbs and statements to describe your available job functions with bygone employers. Include your autograph, address, and phone number at the top. Include significant achievements you enjoy made or awards/certifications earned if related to the situation you wish to enjoy. Keep it on disc or CD so that you can update it frequently and tailor it to specific job; each time you want to convey one, print it as an original on clad colored paper (cremes, tans, neutral browns, and some pastels - NOT white). Always agree to someone who knows going on for them, read over it before you christen it anything but a draft - I've never seen a resume that couldn't be tweaked to engineer it better!

Don'ts: Never include references or personal information approaching "hobbies" on a resume. If an employer wants them, they will ask at the interview. Never kind it more than one page, unless you are going for an Executive Vice President position or you have several decades of experience within the same paddock with multiple departed employers. Omit teaching or job experiences that are totally not relevant to the undertaking that you are seeking - names of companies can be included within an employer listing, but a resume is not a commission listing, it's a register of pertinent experience, achievements, and skills. And above adjectives, DON'T photocopy your original resume 100 times and convey it to every job public notice you see.

Most libraries have great resume books which will explain the different types of resumes that can be created and also books on cover packages; what is their purpose, how to compose them, what not to do. Never assume that a resume for one job will suffice for another. They are not one-size-fits-all type instruments. Each should be "paw crafted" specifically for a particular position.

One end thing: A cover memorandum should only be 4 paragraph with a maximum of 3 sentences surrounded by each. It should not be overly detailed or wandering. Be specific and to the point. A reality about cover post is this: Prospective employers will look at a cover communication for approximately 3-5 seconds past deciding to verbs or toss it in the trash. If you haven't gotten their attention near something they want to hear (read) in that 3-5, you're categorically in the trash! And your resume will NEVER be see.

well-mannered luck!
The cover letter is primarily your way of introducing yourself. You typically include such info. as how you hear about the work opening and what make you a good aspirant for the postion without giving away adjectives the details from your resume. If you have unusual circumstances within your resume, such as gaps surrounded by employment, you may want to include an explanation for this in your cover note. And you can always include extra info. that works surrounded by your favor that a reader may not be able to communicate from looking at your cover letter alone.
