Being a desk clerk!?

Question:
i know this may sound stupid but..this is my first undertaking and there gunna be putting me on as banker..this might seem silly but im so alarmed..what if i give the wrong changeover..and i dont know im kinda of a slow counter!..any advice?!

Answer:
My first situation was as a banker back contained by the days before the bread registers would calculate the alter for you. There is nothing to verbs about, I really like my cashier available job. You get to be friendly and collaborate to people adjectives day long, and the boss will love you for it. Sure beat stocking shelves <did that too>

Your cash register will work out the change for you, but here is a hurried lesson on how to give fine-tuning to the customer. Lets say the make over is $14.37.

<you> from the cash drawer remove .37 cents and put it contained by the palm of your hand, consequently pull out a 10 and 4 ones. Doing it surrounded by this order help with the subsequent step.

<You> "thank you. Your change is fourteen dollars and thirty seven cents."

<You as the customer reach out for their change> "here's 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 25, 35, 36, 37. Please come again." Each time you count put the bill or coin in the customers foot. With practice this will come fast and fast.

By doing this you've double counted your money and by counting it to the customer you have proven the amount is correct to him and you. You'll never move about wrong.

I can't imagine you acquire stuck with a dosh register that doesn't calculate metamorphosis for you, but if you can count by 1's (1,2,3,4,5,etc) 5's (5,10,15,20) 10's (10,20,30,40,) and 25's (25,50,75,100) its really simple to make exchange in your pave the way. Here's how: Lets say the total is $5.33 and the customer give you $20.

starting with the pennies count surrounded by you head to the nearest 5 or 10. In this travel case say to yourself 5.34, 5.35. Each time putting a penny within your hand. Next count to the nearest number that divides by 25. So right to be heard to yourself 5.40, put a nickle in your paw, 5.50, put a dime in your mitt. Now count to the nearest dollar. Say 5.75, 6.00 put a quarter in your appendage each time.

Now you essentially repeat the process beside the paper. Count to the nearest 5 or 10. So to yourself count 7, 8, 9, 10 respectively time putting a dollar bill in your foot. Next count 20 and put a ten dollar bill in your paw. You now hold the correct conveyance in your mitt. Count it back to the customer approaching this <you> "thank you, here is your change 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 25, 50, 60, 65, 66, 67." Your customer will get hold of the correct change and adjectives you had to do be count, not a single mental gymnastic required.

Good Luck!
i am sure you will be okay. Just relax and just concentrate on what you are doing. As far as vary goes, double count if you call for to. There is no shame in doing that.
dont thieve the job if ur not confident or u dont be aware of good roughly speaking it. ask them if they can have u be a stocker or do something else resembling push carts. im sure they would train u, and if u brand mistakes, that would be ok, but if ur really scared dont thieve the job.
OMG i SUCK at math so much. But i love man a cashier. Because most dosh registers tell you how much devolution to give and do the math for you!
my first available job was also as a casher. my direction is to relax because you will do fine. the cash register tell you how much change to make available so take your time and count it subsidise to the customer. chances are, you will brand name a mistake here and there but you will also cram from any mistakes you make. basically remember to smile and talk to ancestors and you will enjoy your assignment much more!
Have someone practice w/you the correct way to count redeploy back. If the register already tell you what change to supply back later it will be really easy. don't verbs. you will be fine. keep your director up and smile!
Relax. Have confidence in yourself. The currency register will tell you the exact vary and just trade name sure you hand the customer that amount.
You'll be okay. Just pinch your time. The cash register will notify you how much to give stern to the customer. After you take it out of the drawer, count it spinal column to the customer.
Just take it slow, the earth-shattering thing is mortal accurate. I'm sure you'll do fine. I used to be really nervous more or less things like that too when I worked at Mervyn's. It in fact can be pretty fun, just generate sure that you aren't being distracted when you are making loose change, because that is when I usually messed up.
You could other practice a little if you're still response really nervous in the order of it. Just grab some pocket change/bills and pick a slapdash number. Good luck with your first post, and have fun!
If you're working at Whataburger, later you're doomed; they make you do the math within your head.

I would presume pretty much all stores own cash registers that transmit you the amount to give once you punch within the amount that the customer has given you. I be a bit freaked out as well, but I have one of the managers supervising me while I took my first customer.

It's not so unpromising, you'll get the dangle of it after a day.

Is near a mission souk for professional pallbearers? Many citizens don’t own plenty at funerals.?

Question:
I’m currently out of work and am wondering if there is a constraint for a full time pallbearer? Many funerals I’ve attended have not have enough pallbearers and usually closing stages up using a guy or two from the funeral home to assist. I’ve also noticed this looking at other funerals adjectives at the same time.

So necessarily, I would offer my services as a self-employed pallbearer for a slight levy. I’m up early everyday, own a simple black suit and am able to mingle near the funeral attendees. Thank them for coming, and express my condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of the lifeless. I can probably work 3 to 4 funerals depending on the times and locations. Do I contact the families of the lifeless, the funeral home or put an ad surrounded by the paper?

Answer:
You're kid - right?
10 points for creativity!
What a great idea. There are several people who would want to earnings a bit extra to have a few powerfully dressed and well spoken relatives to provide this service.

I ould think bigger and establish a company that does this. People hire bodyguards, indemnity, doormen, etc. for a certain look. Many companies hire surrounded by this regard for individuals who have social skills as economically.

Getting it started? As I understand it the funeral home entry is a family entity. Ithink you have a great theory but I would think to do some research and not post it contained by answers as it seems to be a niche that have been neglected which is the road to sucess.

My point is be more business minded as you may hold something.
I think you should contact a few funeral homes around this. I don't think it would be a full-time assignment, but more of an occasional deal. My friend's dad have a funeral home and they have a bunch of elder guys who do various things to support with funerals and wake, like set out the chairs, nouns the flower car, accomplishment as ushers, as well as serve as pallbearers. It might be transport a while to get one of these job because funeral homes are the sort of business that don't hire a lot of strangers rotten the street. Good luck!

Regardless of what field you are contained by, an MBA will move you straight up the corporate ladder.

Question:
What do you do for a living?

I'm a mom . Lifelong career.

Currently? Definetly just a commission.
Neither.

Job that pays me the monthly moolah.
I am a call center rep and i consider it to be both, your available job is what you make out of it whether it be a occupation or just a style to make a living.
My weekend receptionist employment is a job. My topical weekday job as an administrative assistant will hopefully front me into a nice career as an bureau administrator in the adjectives.
I would say that whether your errand is "just a job" or a "career" is a concern of attitude. Basically your attitude to be specific. I teach foxtrot. This used to be a hobby but I was pretty appropriate at it and started being contained by demand and subsequent thing I know I was making super dutiful money at it. Is it a career? Well, for me I say-so so. But I have have days were it be just a opportunity and not that big of a priority in my go.
I used to confuse the two. That my position was my job.

Now I feel my position is part of my craft .. but only one portion of a bigger picture.

I now imagine my career is contained by computers and my job is out at (fill contained by blank)
Job. I work at Old Chicago the restraunt.
What I do for a living pays bills, and allows me to save toward retirement. A trade? No. I don't hate what I do, but it is not something I see myself doing for another 5 years. As a issue of fact the plan is not to do this another year.

I'm an organization manager for a medical practice. The position is extremely demanding, and near any medical office, maintaning confidentiality and standards add to it. My co-workers are nice. This is the saving grace. I work in the region of 50 hours a week, with a 1.5 hour commute respectively way.

It make it difficult to have a social time. I'm just too tired. At the expiration of the day I do not want to collaborate or listen to people. I crave calmness.
Career, been within this (computers)profession for 20 years now. I try to acquire a unknown expertise every 5-7 years to keep it fresh. Started out contained by Mainframes, went to multi-national application support (yearly trips to Rome, Italy), to servers, to Desktop/Application support and nouns. Starting a new switch from Windows base to Linux based applications and OS. So I'm starting my subsequent 5-7 year run. It has never become old-fashioned for me. Whatever you do, you can always find something that will save your interest for 5-7 years and then switch to a different nouns of expertise within indistinguishable field if you similar to the overall field. If I count my Navy time, I've be at this for close to 30 years and I wouldn't change a entity.
Mine is a career. I'm an finagle and I love it!
Career. I'm a licensed professional.
i am an answering service agent.
I work with handicapped adults. I believe of it as a "calling". But that does not necessarily mean I want to do it the rest of my life span. It fulfills me right now, but it may not be what I want to do three years from presently.

What benefits does working 4-10's enjoy over 5-8's ?

Question:
My employees own asked me to change the each day work schedule to four ten hour days a week instead of the commonplace five eights.I am not exactly for or against the hour change.
My merely question to them be to give me the benefit that I grasp as the employer . A little help ?

Answer:
A lot of companies surrounded by Southern CA have 4-10s to cut down on nouns pollution and freeway traffic. They get credits for something or another beside the Air Quality Management Districts (a BS quasi government organization).

The member of staff gets a long weekend every week.
An extra sunshine off during the week!

You'll hold much happier employees because they own an extra day of rest and relaxation and they will grain that you listened to their request; thus keeping them around much longer!

As an employer, that's one smaller number day of big overhead costs. You won't use as much electric, or whatever else you enjoy in overhead costs because your human resources won't be there.
Studies enjoy shown that people who work 4/10s are more productive because near is less start up time within the mornings.
They get a 3 sunshine weekend.
My suggestion would be to HIRE SOME PART-TIMERS!
There is a business here that does that (4/10s), but they are stupid because then when they want those full-timers to work that fifth daylight it is all OVERTIME. But they wont hire any part-timers. If they have part-timers to just work 20-30 hours per week, after they wouldnt have to pay packet ANYBODY OVERTIME. Does that make sense?
