When I first moved to Spain I be a gardener, painter/decorator, restaurant kitchen assistant, cleaner & rent a car representative, so 5 job. It was strong & the money wasn't that good.
Hmmm at one point surrounded by my junior year of college, I had at least possible 5 jobsall at the same time...but they be all proletarian at most, and some of these jobs consisted of things similar to babysitting 1-2 mornings a week, or tutoring a middle school student for 1.5hrs per week. Must I mention that I also lived 30-35mins from campus because I couldn't afford the rip-off on-campus housing. I did the following job:
1. bullshit retail job at a clothing store -- ~10hrs/week
2. 2nd bullshit retail livelihood -- ~18hrs/week
3. math tutor at college campus math center -- 8-10hrs/week
4. tutor student #1(10min car ride stale campus) -- 1.5hrs/week
5. tutor student #2(5min car ride sour campus) -- 2hrs/week
6. babysit and drive a student to school(15min car ride from campus) -- 0-2 mornings/week, in the order of an hour each morning
7. bullshit on-campus assignment -- 4-7 hrs/week
Add that all up, and it comes to >40 hrs/week. That's surrounded by addition to the 20 credits of science/math courses I be taking that semester(at the time, I was a double most important in math and bio, consequently switched to a triple major surrounded by bio/math/chem at the end of that semester). This be a result of overworking, overstressed, and malnutrition(I didn't have the time nor money to munch through balanced meal during that semester; there be days that I would eat with the sole purpose one meal the in one piece day, usually of late eggs). I overall became rundown near fatigue, and even after I started eating better, it took around a year before I be back to majority weight and robustness.
In the end, I feel "jipped" from adequate study time and a in the middle decent college social existence. The single experience i have is from my own garden plus i own an allotment where i grow fruit & veg. However, I love gardening and adjectives aspects - just no experience on the other hand in the knotty landscaping side.

A lot if universities grant Agriculture courses. Vocational schools grant classes that should teach you adjectives aspects of your chosen field.
When you agree about quitting your assignment to start a business that you have no professional experience near, then you really inevitability to take some time and conceivably study or work for someone else for a while/
Go an spend 6 months working with a company that builds golf courses, this will prepare you about the construction aspect, next spend your saturday's working in a garden heart where you will cram about flowers, season, costs etc. Then if you can, spend another 6 months working for a landscape gardener to revise how to deal next to clients etc, but be warned it is VERY seasonal work, so spend you money cleverly in the summer for the complicated winter.....

Yes I agree with Northern, Unfortunately you will own to educate yourself on your own time, not abundantly of people will hire you if they know you are just looking for ideas for your own company. I would try to find a nursery beside a Horticulture Specialist on staff, and donate some time to them on the weekends. They are almost always looking for free work, and you can revise any and everything from the Nursery.
Easiest and quickest is way is to move about work for a landscaping company for a year and be in motion to college in the evenings to lean botanics or similar. If you hold some sort of qualification you'll be in abetter position to charge a premium over regular groundsmen / gardeners, and certainly be referred to as a landscaper.
I would get a employment, at least factor time in a nursery or something similar to build contacts within the business. And to make sure your really want to do this for your profession over the long haul. Hobbies don't other make great career. But sometimes. Good luck.
