My father in regulation was a coorprate incentive travel agent.
He have big corporate clients that would offer incentive travel to their sale team, etc. and he'd plan and attend these big trips.
example, he planned a trip for a big ketchup commerce company. He designed a trip for 300 people, submitted his quote and bag to the buyer of the trip. Before he submits the quote, he has to hold an "inspection trip" and the airlines, cruise lines, hotels, restaurants, all settle the way to catch the seller to vend the product. The buyer wanted to "see more" so my Father within law took the trip again beside the buyer, again the trip was compensated for by the hotels, airlines, etc.
The buyer buys the trip and they go again, usually 6 months then. Then the whole process starts up again...adjectives this time he's rackin up frequent flyer miles...what a life..

The con's - you are your own boss. What this means is that YOU (not the broker) are ultimately responsible for making the Dutch auction, and the money. Additionally, most brokers ask for a very hefty portion of your commission check. If you are not selling houses, you are NOT making money. Additionally, one of the 'dirty little secrets' of the concrete estate business is that you have to be within the business for about two to three years previously you make any money. Most experienced home seller WILL NOT use an in-experinced agent. So your market for the first two years or so are solely first time home buyers. Do you think most first time home owners can afford to buy the types of homes that will formulate you a large commission check? Think again. These folks can merely afford 'starter homes' that range from $60 - 100K at the most. So at 3.5 or 3 percent (cause you will enjoy to split the 6 - 7 percent commission with the selling agent) and next giving 50 percent to your broker, how much do you have gone ? Not much.
I was an agent for five months and averaged 1 Dutch auction a month which everyone said was fantastic for a bright agent. Guess how much money I cleared? $5,000 dollars, or less than a thousand a month for working my but stale. When I figured how various hours I spent - I was working for probablly minimum wage. my daughter is in her second year at UCLA respectively year she applied for fasfa she got some oblige, I also had to cosign for her student loan at Bank of America to wages her Tuitsion and housing now she reapplied and be turndown because I ( her father ) made more money last year , the problem is i worked alot of overtime of late to make living possile and keep hold of my haed above water and to filch care of my 2 kids and presently, it seems we get SCREWED ! is there anything we can do to bring back student aid ?

She has to be living independently contained by order to qualify for the aid on her own...otherwise they include your income contained by what she is qualified for.
