EMT-Basic?
Question:
I am taking classes this summer to earn my EMT-B..but I am wondering how physically challenging this course is? I am overweight, I am worried that it may own some physical challenges approaching I know firefighters have to dance through a lot of physical test. Is the EMT-B like that at adjectives?
Answer:
The couse itself isn't very physically demanding...you do own to be able to heave your end of a stretcher, and backing lift a backboarded forgiving from the ground to the stretcher and such, but it's not too bad...there's not usually a physical agility interview, like the fire department have.
Now, working as an EMT-B is a different story...it's very physically provoking...helping to lift 300 lb patients into the ambulance every morning can really wear on you. Most ambulance companies have their own physical trial before you can start work...usually it's pretty simple, resembling helping to move a patient (they lately want to make sure you can carry out the work so no one get injured), but some companies have more provoking tests, and a few hold tests similar to what you might see at a fire department.
Hope this help...
You should ask RunEye.com .
the most physical thing you will be expected to do is to elevate. And try to loose weight.
I assume it depends on your state/area's requirements, but in my nouns, it wasn't that physically demanding. We had to be capable of lift a consistent amount and such, but it wasn't anything someone in average (that is to say aloud, somewhat overweight, but not too extremely) physical condition couldn't do.
not really but the BASIC requirements are the same. Lifting and what not. Firefighters turn though more rigiorus training because of what they do. Keep in mind too that the EMT-B is an entry even EMT basically you are a glorified lifeguard that give basic first aid and get the equipment for the paramedics. I was an EMT-B contained by high university and certified 6 months after I got out. You will see profoundly of stuff in certainty my first call be a suicide (guy in garage disappeared car running) and I started chest compressions on him oh if it matter I was 17.
Good luck though.
The course is not physically demanding, however, one an actual emt can be very physically demanding at times. For instance, if you and your partner achieve a call to transport a 350 lb. manly who is in cardiac arrest, you enjoy no time to sit around and wait for more sustain to arrive. It falls upon you and your partner to pick that guy up and get him on a stretcher. My warning is to start getting in shape presently, before you come to a situation close to that. Don't be intimidated though, I have specified many womanly emts who are not athletic.
In what states I can work as a stripper if I am 18?
Question:
You see I want to work as a stripper but I don't know where it is allowed when you are 18! In some states it is allowed one and only when you are 21! Please help me!
Answer:
Most states are 18+ to tango, even if alcohol is served. Under 21 dancers are usually required to wear wristbands so they will not be served. Only a few states are 21+. Just call some clubs surrounded by your area to find out.
It depends on whether or not they serve alcohol.
Come to MY state, babe...you can strip all daylight! But I can only wage you in recyclables...sorry :-(
Ahh...how ambitious you are...you want to be a stripper...sure they net good money, but most hold self-esteem issues, develop drug/alcohol problems...they may even go into the business a moment ago fine but the business eventually gets to them.

Is it unprofessional to contact a company I interviewed next to to see if the position be complete?
Question:
One of the people that I interviewed next to there call my job for a quotation 3 days ago...
Answer:
Call back truism you were going over your log from your interview and wanted to touch floor with them concerning the position. If it has not be filled, is nearby anything you can do from your end to better clarify your diploma and goals.
On indistinguishable day, distribute a quick facts thanking them for conversation with you and verify your contact information. Make sure you share your cellphone number. End with your continued interest within the position and appreciation, etc..
Companies don't hire as fast as most inhabitants think. Keep things professional and polite.
Good luck...
telephone call them
Thats how a lot of ancestors get job
bug em'
be agressive
Not at all. It shows that you are interested still.
Do not contact them. That would be awfully unprofessional to do so. Just sit tight and hope that your boss gives you a pious references, but remember they do this to adjectives the people they own interviewed for the position
I would call them once a week to find out. Too much calling is annoying, not plenty shows lack of interest.
That is the best style to get a profession, where ever you apply. Call spinal column. Ask to speak with the soul who interviewed you. Were they still looking to fill that position? Have they jam-packed the position. If the person you want to consult to is out, call rear. Call back. Call put a bet on until you speak with that character. Leave a message with your nickname so they know who you are. Show interest, enthusiasm and assertiveness and you will get a assignment. Beleive me, they are not going to call every applicant final to say that they didn't achieve the job. And how will they know merely how interested and how bad you want the commission if you don't show them with your engagements! Go get 'em!
That undamaged "we'll get support to you" is a way to sort out applicants who really want the undertaking, and applicants who are professionally lazy.
Absolutely not -- inside reason, the squealky pedals gets the grease. If you DON'T contact them every so repeatedly, they will put you out of their minds in favor of those who DO contact them every so normally. The worst will be that you won't get the position -- but if you're any flawless for the position, at least the company will know you are serious roughly them, rather than someone who is merely dumping resume's out for whatever comes up first.
As a Human Resources Manager, I will sometimes capture to the point where I hold a few people that are especially qualified and would be a good fit. Out of those nation, the one that calls to inquire further is the one that get moved to the top of the stack. On the flip side, the one the calls everyday bugging me around it goes to the bottom.
P.S. If I read out we are still researching and won't be making a decision for the subsequent X days, don't call stern until a couple days after X day pass.
yes, call them. It shows an interest contained by the job and the company.
I finally did it!?
Question:
I was a child that grew up on the desperate side of town. Dropped out of high conservatory, had a professor tell me that my pet name was worthless and that he wasn't going to pass by me in his class, get pregnant, and moved away from home. Here I am six years later. I own been married for five years, hold two beautiful children, work fulltime at a corporate department as an Accounting Manager, and finally I am graduating college beside my Associate's Degree! I have be thinking about going for my Masters but hold heard horror stories that the try-out you have to embezzle from the state is super hard. I want to be a CPA, but I don't know if I could miss the test. Should I try? Do I save going even if I don't ever take the experiment?
Answer:
Congrats on your accomplishments so far! You can do whatever you put your mind to.
I be Revenue Manager at a job that required me to work 60-70 hours a week when I go back to conservatory for a Master's degree surrounded by Accounting. I also had 2 kids (a 2 yr outmoded and a 3 mos old) when I started back. It took nearly 5 years (I have some extra classes to take b/c my bachelors amount was contained by Finance), but I got the Masters scope (with a 3.98 GPA) AND passed the CPA exam (just last November). I also have a 3rd kid while in college.
You sound close to you want it badly, so you owe it to yourself to try! Don't permit anyone tell you what you can & can't do...just YOU know what you are capable of :) Break it down into smaller goal (like "I'll complete XX number of hours by XX date, instead of "I will take CPA exam"...heck, I wasn't even sure if I would eventually give somebody a lift the CPA exam when I started back, but I moved out my options unequivocal - took the right classes - so that I could take it if I changed my mind)
Good luck & discern free to email me - sounds like we hold a lot surrounded by common :)
be in motion for it! Look at what you've already accomplished!
I say aloud go for it. Even if you don't miss the test, at tiniest you tried. That's all you can ask for. You will never look subsidise and ask "what if". If you think you might be mortified about not ratification, then don't speak about anyone you are doing it. That way in attendance is no pressure, and if you do pass, you can later surprise everyone when you tell them.
I speak keep moving forward. You stipulation the CPA title to make the big bucks, you can go past, if you don't just save on trying it will get easier every time and eventaully you will overrun. GOOD LUCK!!
Wow!! congratulations, most people that enjoy been through duplicate thing a short time ago simply quit. but you didn't, and that is awesome. i focus that you should try the test, you never know, it might me somewhat easier for you, nobody is the same.
merely try it, and keep it up. you nouns very glad.
Shoot for the moon, even if you miss you still land among the stars! Go for it,look how far you've come. PS, my 80 year older mom is in college, she other regretted not getting hr degree.
You don't enjoy to "pass" most of those test, you enjoy to take them. I believe the college will know which programs REQUIRE a solid score, and which programs require that you steal it.
Congratulations! There is no reason to stop studying. Getting your masters and CPA is to be sure hard work. It's not going to be a way of walking in the park. Some Master's programs do require a bachelors since you can enroll and they may require a GRE or GMAT exam depending on the program. A friend of mine is studying to take the CPA exam and it seem to be VERY intense. You may want to enroll into a prep class before attempting to do so. Best of Luck!
Go for it, what do you own to loose, Take your time at your masters. You have done so great you can realize anything now. You cant be worried of the un known and a MBA program is different for everyone. You can do it. You own over come so much. Congrads and good luck.
Worst Boss?
Question:
What's your worst boss experience?
Answer:
I've never had a charge?
being yell at is one but speaking to the boss and not being spoke spinal column to
A boss who didn't talk to anyone. She only walked contained by without dictum hello to anybody, closed her office door, not here without letting anyone know, didn't reply to emails or voice mail, just vanished a note on my desk when I be at lunch...
It was thorny to know if she was pleased near the work anyone was doing, if she be angry all the time...
I would much to some extent have someone shriek at me. I would know how to handle that.

Calling adjectives funeral directors or morticians?
Question:
Have any cool stories? What state do you live in? Have you be doing it long? Do you like the work? (Serious answers only)
Answer:
My family circle was not within the business, but we have have friends in the business. They are run of the mill people only like the rest of us. You enjoy to have a special calling for this type of work, dealing next to the grieving families and next to the deceased. They do importantly specialized work that the public never sees or even know about their doing.
There is a devout reality show on. I believe it is called "Family Plots". It seem to be fairly authentic. I would also contact my local state agencies for information to see just what the hold to do to qualify to be a funeral director. They have to step to school freshly like every one else. A boy that I go to the university with is in a minute teaching at one on the largest school in Dallas. He get into accidentally with a unpaid job, sitting up beside the bodies at night. Most are inherited businesses, but some of their employees work proletarian and are retired people that hold good folks skills.
I hope that this has help you a little.
None, Haryana (INDIA), Never, Not Applicable.

How to achieve rid of someone on workcover?
Question:
I am doing some research on people beside disabilities. I just wonder, if a staff be on workcover, but he's lazy, take leave adjectives the time, no respect for superiors and go on set off every other month. And every problem he encounters, he blames it on someone else, even his bosses. How does an organisation gain rid of people approaching that?
Answer:
What does this have to do beside your research on disabilities?
I think an employer would enjoy good common sense to get rid of someone who wasn't performing their duties and shows no respect, but not merely because they are disabled.

What is a honourable job for someone who loves to make plans for and find ways to improve things?
Answer:
No, it's not worth your time. You call for at least an accounting minor save a full accounting degree.
Business law have be changing only just (mostly thanks to Enron, Tyco, Arthur Anderson, Global Crossing, and a host of other companies). Managers of corporations are person tasked by the law more and more to twig auditing procedures and internal auditing controls, and so all the senior manager in the firms are normally CPA's.
This is a shock to finance majors who dream up that they can avoid the accounting and try to advise clients. If they're unconscious of the consequences of their advice, how can they be taken seriously?
This is devout for accountants (like me) and bad for marketing, nouns and management majors. As a result, we accountants are calling the "Sarbanes Oxley Act" by a different entitle:
"The Auditors Employment Act"
...for putting us in such giant demand.
Considering your perspective, that would be the perfect point to have. It is a take into custody all for adjectives things business management related, but it can front to bigger and better things.
Good luck.
YES. Degree is always righteous. Office Manager to the CEO.
Business degree near a corporate law would serve too.

How soaring do you requirement to be contained by decree to become a surgeon?
Question:
My friend said that her aunt wanted to be a surgeon, but be too short so she couldn't become one. She said she was around my size, which is 5'1. So is it possible for me to become a surgeon?
Answer:
If you can realize the table you should be fine.
Well the surgeon table is approximately 44" high. Given the angle of the arm extension and the average length of the surgical tools, I would say-so the minimum height required would be 5'4". This would merely be true if you were a broad surgeon where you would be required to operate on adjectives parts of the body. If you could specialize in horizontal lumpectomies, you would be OK down to 4'11" since the angle would be 35 degree or less. Have you ever see a short surgeon?
You should be average or least elevated enough to achieve the table, unless they maybe could lower the bed to the floor. I can't see why distance from the ground would be a restriction??
It is illegal for a potential employer or academic institution to discriminate against anyone on the grounds of size or stature.
That being said, if you enjoy obvious physical limitations that would prevent you from mortal able to act surgery, that is a different event.
