INterview w/ United Airlines... warning?
Question:
So i was innards out a questionnaire on united airline's website for a flight attendant position. the subsequent thing i know, i was picking a date and time for an interview.
i thought it be kinda strange and am very afraid for my interview. i thought business in the airline industry be bad, are they in reality hiring, or is it a cattle call type concord?
Answer:
Im a FA with NWA but I did interview beside UA when I started 10+years ago. If the interview is in your nouns it is probably a cattlecall, if they are scheduling you in Chicago consequently it would be an individual interview usually with a panel. The airline industry does suck, especially for the labor groups, somehow the executives are still racking within big bonuses for themselves. Most of the airlines are hiring right now to riddle the vacancies of the people that hold left and they usually "beef" up for summer. I love the living, but you need to put together sure you want to be away from your family alot, especially surrounded by the beginning when you will own 6 weeks of training and probably not based where on earth you live at first. (unlesss your in Chicago or one of their big hubs) Make sure you enjoy done your research on the company for the interview. There is a book at the library called something approaching How to interview to be a FA and gives lots of worthy advice. Just relax, look professional, smile alot and kind sure you say "I love ancestors and I love to travel" Good Luck!

When mail a resume, do you convey it folded or flat?
Question:
I know hardly anyone mail resumes anymore, but if an employers asks, should you dispatch it in a regular envelope folded, or a larger envelope flat?
Answer:
Large flat envelope contained by a nice presentation folder.
Flat, it looks more professional and will stand out.
Actually in some professions(law) mail resumes are still the norm. I have never see a resume in the larger envelope, unless it also contained other documents similar to a writing samples or a university transcripts. If it is just the resume use a regular envelope.
No 9 Business envelope.
Two page, on high power paper, max folded nattily.
First page: Job objective
summarize your work experience.
2nd page expand on your summery.
Have in position the larger envelope contents I would ask for references, copies of diploma, certifications, work examples if your close to a draftsman or graphics designer, etc.
I always recommend the following to clients:
Send it priority letters, flat, along with nativity confirmation.
It's professional and you know it made it.
Don't forget to follow-up with a phone bid or letter.

Should I go and get a opportunity at an nouns row?
Question:
I have see in the daily that air lines are hiring and a great deal of them give employement bonuses. But nouns lines have fired a great deal of people and some nouns lines have gone out of busniess should I work for an nouns line?
Answer:
working for one is fun you seize to travel a LOT make clothed money and meet profusely of different and interesting people and places. But to be honest I enjoy to seriously question ad in the dissertation for hiring airline people. Most US carrier do NOT post available jobs that passageway. You would be better off going online to their trellis sites and look under employment opportunity.
As for airlines going out of business thats because of 9/11 and rising fuel costs.
An added bonus once you get contained by YOUR IN! Good luck.
HI ! if you like to travel you should. coz' as a staff they can bring discount tickets.
in airline, their primary salary is usual low, but they pays big bouns if they are doing ably. actually at the moment all companies are risky. as long as they do not run into their promise result, companies have to cut cost. not a short time ago the airline industry.
for example, citibank is now firing 19,000 staff worldwide, even if is doign economically, but not well plenty as the investors likes. so it doesnt really matter.
you can try the airline, its interesting.
Rgds
J
Its all your decree. Do keep contained by mind that as gas prices go up...smaller quantity people fly. This will eventually hurt airlines adequate again to where they enjoy to layoff people and/or move about bankrupt.
NO job surrounded by michigan?
Question:
Did you notice that the fack in that are no jobs within michigan is not making the newes it You can even get a livelihood at a Mcdonals Tacol bell or WaL-Mart I not talking apposite jobs only just any jobs resembling 6.95 mim wage to 10 a hour jobs. But no job. In new orlines in that jobs every where on earth but it makes the newes close to bad because of the hurrcane. They receive war and other Issuses far more inportain than the certainty there no job in michagan.
Answer:
you underestimate the duty market here surrounded by Detroit (and all of Southeastern Michigan for that matter). There really is nowhere to work. No McJobs, no temp service work, its pretty bleak. There is some small job creation and opening, but that if far outweighed by the number of layoffs and secondary job-cuts that hold been made around here. If I have to guess, the ratio of "any job" to applicant has get to be close to 500 to 1. And for skilled manufacturing work, literally 10,000 to 1.
But, adequate boo hoo, and on to the reason not a soul seems to protection... Its an inevitability to globalization and an opportunity to adapt to a topical model of doing business. The auto companies were built when the notion was 'Manpower'. Now, its computerized assembly lines, and 1/10 the work force is needed. So, everyone is taking this opportunity to slim down, modernize, and stay viable (hopefully). This is inevitable, but the effects on this local discount have be devestating. 1 in 39 homes within foreclosure, severance packages are running out, unemployment run out long ago on literally 10s of thousands..
Its not pretty, but its my home, if you don't like it, move off before you bring shot...
I doubt there are nil jobs surrounded by Michigan. It is a tough hiring market within some cities due to a depressed economy, but within certainly are job and some areas are prosperous.
And no jobs surrounded by Italy either. It's where on earth I am from.
If you write and spell like this on a situation application, I'm not surprised that you're having trouble getting hired.
I moved out of Michigan 24 years ago and Michigan have no Jobs then I'm sure it have not changed . The jobs that are open out would not feed a single personality .
GET OUT i have people in muskeegon ,MI so i know what you scrounging
Im concern something like the actual estate theory test??
Question:
most of my friends are license and they told me I shouldn't read the whole principle of tangible estate text booK they recomend me to freshly study the questions from the chapter and the pro-test question**
Help me is this true
Answer:
yea pretty much (and going to real estate classes) the course isn't that firm BUT you better have some brass stashed away the housing market is contained by trouble and you could very potential go a minimum three months in the past even selling a house.
Just take the test that you can find on the internet. Reading the book will help solely on the definitions and not near the math type questions.
I prepared for the examination by doing the sample test on the internet ( don't remember the URL, but you can G00GLE it ). I did it many times until I be familiar near the logic and calculations.
After endorsement the test, I contracted not to pursue a RE career, and my temp license will expire failure of May.
It depends about which exam you're conversation about.
For the Real Estate Salesperson exam, here are a standard group of questions which pop up during an exam.
- Agency
- Ethics
- Real Estate Finance
- Real Estate Law
- Contracts
- Construction & Regulation
If you know these, you should be fine. There are 1 or 2 question at most which will ask you about below what section of the X-State Real Estate Law is it allowed or illegal to do something. Honestly, if you bring back both of them wrong, and 2 more wrong from your other questions, you should still miss. You need 70% to exceed, and 2 wrong answers + 2 missed questions won't wipe out you.
On the other hand, if you're chitchat about the Real Estate Broker's exam, study knotty!
You will need to know adjectives of the following like the final of your hand:
- Real Estate Law*****
- Contracts***
- Ethics***
- Broker-Agent Relationship**
- Broker's rights & duties****
- Zoning Law & Regulations***
- Building, Health, and Safety Regulations****
- Mortgages & Title****
- Taxation of Property Transactions*****
* : plane of importance out of 5 stars total.
You must know respectively section, article, statute, decree, and regulation if you expect to pass. It's not a rugged exam, but it's not any easier if you don't know partially the questions on it because you listen to your licensed friends who told you now to study the statutes.
In any event, I hope this be helpful and informative. I will you best of luck on your future as a Real Estate Agent/Broker, and best of luck on your exam. Remember, it's really not that tough, so don't feel too much pressure.

Question:

Think of the aspect of yourself in your work that you own had to work hardest on, but hold succeeded at overcoming. This could be talking next to other people, orgainization, individual on-time, whatever. Be honest. Make sure it is a problem you enjoy conquered - their next cross-question will be "how have you deal with that", and you want to hold a good response. This shows that you know your weakness, and how to overcome them - so they aren't a problem for you. Be sure not to discuss any problems you have not overcome - that will be perceived as a hold-up.
I work so fast, I sometimes become invisible.
Don't convey them that you work too hard, or are a perfectionist. Those are unquestionably cliches. Also don't tell them something like a real feebleness (I can't get along next to co-workers, example). You need something to be exact a real truth just about you but could be viewed as a unenthusiastic or a positive, and which you've overcome. For us to give you one woudn't ring true.
If your a recent graduate a apposite answer is to say is you don't own a lot of experience working full time.
do you parsimonious weakness? looks resembling yours might be spelling.

Don't label a Weakness turn into a negative aspect of your role.
"control myself better around cash" isn't what you're looking for, but "I could be better at..." a positive thing is something I'd be interested surrounded by seeing on an application.

How can the minimum wage effect laying-off?
Question:
Answer:
Do you mean the minimum wage self raised? Well, if employer are unable or unwilling to money workers the higher wage, next they'll hire and keep not as much of employees. A larger company might find another country to acquire labor from, and a smaller company might go out of business.
If it costs too much to hire staff because of a glorious minimum wage, many small employer will avoid growing their business or will only depend on contract help out when they need it most.
Some smaller companies can not afford to hire nation at this amount and in turn not hire anyone but they circumvent this by sub-contracting.
If the work effectiveness of a worker is below the wage paid to that worker...hiring that worker is a network loss to the employer.
The employer will therefore be prompted to automate tasks at his work or, in the wrong run, achieve out of that line of business.
