How do you find your hourly rate if you just know your annual remuneration?

Question:
I know how much I make a year, but would similar to to calculate how much I trade name an hour.

Thanks!

Answer:
How much vacation do you bring a year? How many rewarded holidays?

IN GENERAL, you can take your annual net, divide it by the number of weeks you are not on vacation, and next divide that number by 35 or 40 (the number of hours you work in a week).

So, if you are rewarded $50,000/year with 2 weeks of time off, you would divide $50,000 by 50 weeks. That result is $1,000. Divide 1,000 by the number of hours you work a week.

So, if you work from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with an hour bad for lunch, you work 7 hours a day. Multiply 7 hours by the number of days you work (usually 5 days - Monday thru Friday), and you hold 35 hours.

Divide the $1,000 by 35 hours, and you have an hourly rate of $28.57 an hour.

Make sense?
dont do it, you'll with the sole purpose get discouraged
In nonspecific: divide the annual salary by 2080.
Scary that you enjoy to ask this question.

Divide by 52 and next divide by 40 = hourly rate
divide annual salary by 12 after by the amount of hours you work in a month
Divide the annual stipend by 12.

Divide that number by 4 for a weekly salary.

Isolate the number of days a week you work & how plentiful hours a day.

You should probably know how much your hourly foot is.....
take the twelve-monthly rate and divide it by 12 months. this will give you the month total. consequently take that number and divide by the total days worked contained by a month which will give you the amount you kind per day. let say for example the amount per afternoon is 100 dollars and you work ten hours per day afterwards you would make ten dollars per hour. this sounds allot more complicated than it is . bring in sure you use a calculator. good luck
If you work 40 hours a week, you work in the order of 2080 hrs. a year.

divide your salary by 2080 and that should bestow you a general hypothesis of how much you make per hour.

Why can't I accomplish what I want? I touch resembling such a end, Do you know anyway I can achieve myself motivated?

Question:
I want to go to college earn my A.S Degree and verbs from there by going to Law School. I work Part-time so I can do it I am 25 years ripened and its hard for me to purely get up and do it. Any suggestions to why or how can I return with myself motivated?
Thanks so much for your input.

Answer:
Your stuck in a rut. You stipulation to change your lifestyle a moment or two. Try making friends with society who you think are motivated and hold a similar desire as you. You're not a failure, you only just need some bright direction.
You need to embezzle it in small steps. Write down your goal and the major accomplishments you obligation to make along the road to get within. Then every day ask yourself what you did TODAY to work towards you desire.
Hope this doesn't sound simplistic but newly take one newborn step at a time - for example, call and ask the college for an application and for financial aid information (the A.S. college) - that's a start. At lowest possible you have a pretty specific objective, that great! After you fill it out and convey it in start thinking roughly housing and a part time duty! You can do it! Just take it slow and steady! You're childlike and you already sound close to you have profusely of potential!
I feel matching way and I enjoy an A.S. degree surrounded by electronics and a Batchelors degree within Computer Science and Engineering. So getting a degree is not going to fix anything automatically.
Finding a charge that you trully love and enjoy doing, in a minute that is what might motivate you.
Unfortunatelly, it seem to me like adjectives the jobs that I would really soak up doing either get offshored to places like India and they don't exist here, or they newly don't pay adequate for me to survive.
This is a major crisis and this country is contained by a lot of thoughtful sh1t until people start anyone so d@mned greedy and start working together to rebuild America instead of letting our country grasp plundered by foreigners.

Believe it or not, a low height clerk at the courts can make or break you contained by that court system. Judges ask their employees what attorneys are jerk and what attorney treat the employees capably. What is the difference between an income finance and a stipend?

Question:
I know a stipend is taxable but is an advance taxable too?

Answer:
Back to definition first. A stipend is an amount of money allotted on a regular basis usually for a specific purpose. Your monthly income is a stipend, but the term usually relates to funds made available for projects that are contained by need of special funding, such as research projects.

A remuneration advance is a loan made to you by your employer which you agree to settle up back. There should be no withholdings from an mortgage, unless the agreement with your employer specifies that he/she can merely advance you the approximate network amount of a gross amount you wish to borrow--personally, I've never see this happen. So you earn $4,000 per month, and usually own total withholdings of $1,200 (Federal and state income tax, OASDI, Medicare, and any other amounts such as 401(k) contributions, your portion of medical insurance, etc.). Your lattice pay would be $2,800. If a $1,000 earnings advance call for repayment on the next monthly paycheck contained by total, your net foot the next month would be $1,8OO--simply paying off the loan, likely minus any interest charge to you.

So no, a salary finance is not taxable. It likely would be if you are discharged from your charge before you earn plenty to repay it. But most employers are not possible to advance funds to team they expect to be discharged in such a moment frame.
I took an internship at Procter & Gamble last summer. They give me a $1,000 salary mortgage check. They sent me the full amount and then took the taxes out when I truly earned the money and begin to "pay back" the take-home pay advance.

So, to answer your interrogate, NO - an advance is not taxable because it is a loan from your employer (typically an interest free loan, so you should other take it...put it surrounded by the bank and earn interest on it if you don't stipulation it too).

How do I become a CEO of a company?

Question:

Answer:
There are many ways to become a CEO of a company. Of course, the most marked way is to start your own maintenance and name yourself as CEO. However, if you don't hold the resources to start your own enterprise, then you'll hold to become CEO through traditional routes.

There are two main ways to become CEO of a corporation. One channel is start out in sale. Sales is a tough business, but the good entry about sale is that you're rewarded on merit and not on politics. If you excel in sale, chances are that you'll be promoted to sale manager. If you're a righteous sales controller, you'll be promoted to VP of sales. If you're an exceptional VP, consequently chances are that you'll be surrounded by line to be the subsequent COO. If you prove yourself to be a good COO, probability are that you'll be next surrounded by line to be CEO.

Another bearing to become CEO is to join a company's regulation trainee program. If you take this route, consequently you'll have to play department politics. You'll have bring in sure that most of the poeple that you work with love you and praise you for everything you do. As you prove yourself to be a dutiful manager and everybody loves you, later you'll naturally be promoted into sophisticated positions, which will eventually land you into the CEO spot.

Good luck! If you become CEO, please hire me.
start the company yourself
Start your own company. Hire a staff, and pet name yourself CEO.
Go to school, start a company, or kiss profoundly of *** and move up within a company after going on for 25 years you could become CEO.
buy out 51% of its stock
The surest path is to be a star vice president or officer at a huge corporation (CFO, VP for product nouns, something at that level), get interviewed plentifully in publications close to The Wall Street Journal, then put your entitle in at an executive force out firm. Many smaller companies will fight to hire you as CEO, or you might seize lucky and get an submission from another huge corporation.

Of course millions of people would love to get hold of multi-million dollar salaries as executives at huge corporations and carry interviews in core publications, so that's still a tough row to hoe.

The goal of man a CEO is much too vague to guide any TRUE planning. To become CEO of a company of any size requires you to be willing to deal in your soul to something more specific than making a lot of money. What are you feeling like to do for 60-80 hours a week for decades, jeopardizing your health and your personal time? If you have that type of passion for software nouns, then your best shot is to develop a hired gun application and build a company like G00GLE or Intuit around it. If you hold that passion for accounting, later get an MBA and shoot for a CFO position. If you hold that passion for sale, then become a star salesperson contained by a field where on earth salespeople get promoted to CEO's (in spite of what handr_bloch say, I doubt that many nanotechnology companies will hire CEO's out of sale any time soon). My point is you've got to be obsessively driven to be a giant achiever in some occupation near an obvious footpath to the CEO office.
Do a REALLY GOOD duty at work and HAVE LOTS of experience.
From your question, I know right away you are an ambitious person. That is polite. Want to be a CEO of a company? The best method would be do all your work hardworkingly and form your boss happy and smile whenever he see you. Get it?

I'm contained by tears?

Question:
My boss just literally told me that I be walking on thin rime. Last week I just get a bonus for my hard work and this week I'm in the order of to be fired it seems. I'm lead of a Department where a woman working for me made an error.

What happen was she sent an email to 10 associates with wrong info. I checked her prior emails but hadn't checked the concluding one (I didn't even have time to unscrew it) and she got an approval from our boss. Now that it's wrong, my boss is blaming me and motto it's my department - my error.

I understand that - and I perceive I'm changing my system to correct the approval system but she's motto I didn't take any responsibility for it. I'm tired of getting scream at and demeaned. This has be going on for a long time and I feel similar to this job isn't worth it anymore.

I know I should own caught the error, but I thought by coming up with a plan of endeavour they'll see my efforts surrounded by making a change. It seem they wanted me to apologize profusely. What do you come up with?

Answer:
Keep your head up. Start looking if this is truly what your decree is. Make sure that this is not a rash ruling because of the situation.

In the meantime, put your procedures into place regarding the approval process. Apologize for the communication but also inform everyone that you are taking steps to ensure that this will not occur again. This shows that while there be a mistake made, you are acknowledging it and moving toward advancement at the same time.

Your boss cannot dispute this. Its adjectives about CYA. Your boss know how to play the game and you call for to step up and cover yourself.

After you make these change if you still feel impossible to tell apart animosity then by adjectives means turn and look elsewhere. Just make sure that you will not regret the choice you brand name.

Good Luck.
an asshole boss... what's new? so you quit... but really what will rework?
Make "nice" with your boss...and pinch full responsibility for what happened..but lightly start looking for a new errand. Good luck.
Walk in within and tell them this: Look, WE made a mistake. I enjoy taken action to correct the situation. It won't transpire again. It is MY responsibility.

Not only will they forgive you, they may hold a spectacle for you.
Go over his head...enjoy that person notify him if hes going to do your job, he's going to transport the heat......
Nobody deserves to be demeaned. Take responsibility for your activities and look for a new errand. Not all bosses are assholes.
inopportunely mistakes happen to everyone....and disappointingly, some supervisors enjoy pointing out and dwelling on mistakes made by everyone else. try to hold on to in mind the ability work you do and continue to do so.
Coming up and presenting a plan to prevent something approaching that from happening again is what a pacesetter does. You did the right thing within. Accepting the responsibility of subordinate mistakes is another thing a leading light does. You showed two good intrinsic worth that a lot of inhabitants in control positions fail to own. Your boss should see this.
Pick yourself back up and tighten up your crew so mistakes won't take place again. Mistakes happen, do your best to avoid them.
If you want to build right relationship with your boss, you should apologize for your cut of the mistake. Demean yourself if you don't want them to do it for you. Tell them that you should have allotted some extra time so that that problem didn't arise. Try describing them that that won't happen again and that you will transport full responsibility regarding the issue. Tell them also that if you are really becoming a burden then you will resign to avoid further disappointments. You may not agree on what I am suggesting but it is the channel successful people does to build pious relationships with others - by admit their mistakes and doing it quickly. You are not the one who is entirely responsible for the errors but it is relatively noble to adopt it as yours. They might then realize that the mistake is not entirely yours one and only.

If you think you can't do it and that they are individual too much hard on you, you can run and find more suitable job for you. Hope it help you out...good luck.
Welcome to supervision. Of course your boss will blame you, you're blaming the author of the email and your her boss. You need to develop a plan and show your boss the steps you will clutch in the adjectives to try to prevent this from happening again. Take personal responsibility for your movements (or lack of) and become proactive, which it sounds close to you are already doing and come up with a nice track of letting her know that you know that this slipped through her hands, too. Something resembling, "I know you feel somewhat responsible for the email from Susie near the wrong info, but I want to let you know I touch responsible and sorry that I wasn't able to read the email and block the error prior to you approving it. I know it was an oversight on both our parts and here is my plan of act of how I will handle emails surrounded by the future so this doesn't embarrass both of us again." This politely let her know you ARE sorry but she's at fault, too. She probably have her butt chewed by her boss, too. This stuff flows down hill. If she is unwilling to adopt this, you have 2 option: 1) stay and wait for her to return with fired and improve your activities to take her place, or 2) find another mission. Life is about choices, you chose to do something else than read the email. Whatever you chose to do at the time be more important to you than the email. Brush yourself stale, put your head up, and save going. Lesson learned.

My girlfriend is a skinny model, and I just developed the +30 chub after a lifetime of person thin.

Feeling polite about myself and my emblem.

Once you develop a "habit", of working out, you'll feel fruitless when you don't, which isn't necessarily a bad point, unless it begins to interfere next to other important things within your life.

I've told him to keep me moving, no concern how mad I receive.

My boss have impossible mouthed me to another colleague. How far do I appropriate it?

Question:
I felt that she be "cool" with me following an email i sent to skipper office concerning our competitors and advertising. My boss be on holiday at the time & our head bureau welcomes suggestions from adjectives ranks of staff. I merely emailed my thoughts which generated impressively good and positive feedback and made us, as a troop, look very apposite.
I asked if she was annoyed at me around it as I felt she be a bit distant and she said it was fine but remained totally "off". Another member of staff have told me that she has be saying that she "is going to own a go" at me for sending the email as it makes her look impossible as they are not her ideas

She be away at the time and they were my own thoughts and suggestions. I dont want to only just ask her about it as I anticipate further problems if she is already conversation about me. I asked skipper office for their input and they contemplate that my area inspector should be involved to prevent the issue from escalating. Is this taking it too far?

Answer:
I admire you for stepping up and taking the initiative. That's something a virtuous employee does! However, hang on to in mind, that a righteous employee also tries to trademark their boss look good.

Your boss may be touchy that you're really intelligent. Going over her head I don`t know wasn't the best idea. Instead, you could leave behind your idea along to her - and afterwards she would present it as "her" idea. She would obtain the credit for it, and in turn, would treat you better.

Think roughly this: Who has more influence over your advancement within the company? Your immediate boss or the citizens over her head? I infer you know the answer to that one.
Get the matter resolved, no business what level you enjoy to take it to. It sounds to me that she's only just jealous because she's not competent to take adjectives the credit. Use the chain of nouns when trying to resolve this problem. You'll get better results surrounded by the end. Apparently your boss is not a troop player or she would have be proud of your ideas instead of self upset by them. Teamwork is what it takes for adjectives to be successful.
For a first step, getting your area governor involved is a bit too far. Ask him/her to monitor the situation, but try and talk to your boss and reconcile. Explain to her that you have every intention of including her in your communications but as she be on vacation, you feel the info needed to be disseminated as soon as possible to be effective. Applaud her for her upright works and pump her up, make her have a feeling important, include her as much as possible...

She feel threatened by you, you are after her job. That's how she feel whether it's real or not. Perception is everything here. Make her grain that you would like HER to succeed and move up the stepladder ahead of you. This is a very adjectives issue by the way, amazingly common indeed.

Good luck
Probably,
Why did you listen to what your colleague be telling you contained by the first place about wot yo boss be saying? Your colleague is the one who will relay your boss that you talked to Head Office going on for her. You mean you go to your superiors with unsupported reports ( rumours) and they listened to you and they even advise you?!

Now that you know, ask yourself how influencial she is and be prepared for the worst. It is possible that your boss did not even bad mouth you and that you are pushing yoself over the cliff.
Well I know how difficult for you it must be. Many years ago a similar piece happened to me and initially my art suffered because of it. I did nothing in the region of this boss of mine who had it contained by for me because I inadvertently showed her up to the big bosses for what she was a bigot. She be Scottish and I was English.

I suggest you would be well advise for the time being to agree to it lie, but breed a diary note of everything that have happened. And I would approach her something like what has happen. People do not like to be confronted by the truth believe me.

If she is not hugely forthcoming and you feel that you hold not been given a adequate explanation as to her attitude towards you. Then explain that you wish to follow a grievance procedure because you cannot verbs to work under such an atmosphere. She will not one and only appreciate you not going behind her spinal column but she will think twice around talking out of tum to another accomplice of your team.

A word of tip off.

I notice that you said 'If she is already discussion about me', does this show that you are not sure because if not you really
inevitability to clarify with this other accomplice of staff that she definitely said so and so.

Always err on the side of advise until you get your facts straight next you will have right on your side.

The outcome of my little fracas be that I waited until an internal verbs came up inwardly the company and applied to be transferred to another department.

My boss was as sick as a dog as I done up on hourly pay working on a lucarative project for a another big grease company being taken on as long permanent status agency staff by the main contractor earn megga bucks.

What do they say something like justice have sweet revenge.

If you know you have right on your side the outcome will be to your satifactions emplyers today cannot afford management to treat staff approaching you have be treated.

All the best.
if u are part of a Union step to them for advice on the business
I would be inclined not to procure the area controller involved at this stage - unless it does actually escalate. I can't construe of a way contained by which such a meeting would be that useful. If your boss is worried about you self after her job or self better than her, calling in the nouns manager is solitary going to make things worse.
I suspect that your string manager does not own the authority to 'get rid of you' and also that senior management probably know full ably what your manager is similar to.
My advice is to avoid this talks if it is still possible to do so. Try to let things blow over, it may lug time but I think they will. If they don't I would hold a diary of any inappropriate lifestyle displayed by your manager and at that point send for in the nouns manager.

How do you know HR have not done anything they are not at independence top say if someone have been disciplined or not. Just because you feel someone has traits similar to someone gives you nil to go on, you are simply assuming this, so HR has nought to go on, sounds resembling you and other staff may pick on this employee, which is not a angelic idea, perchance you should do tsomething like try and include him within activities you and other colleagues procure up to. Sure you can... It can if truth be told be a requirement for some positions.

This sort of depends how old you are Trisha. If you are beneath 18 then aim advice from your local Connexions Centre as in attendance may be (a) a legal right for you to access this training (depending on your qualification level) and (b) financial facilitate for you and your employer.
If you are over 18, then you don't own any automatic right to access recognised training as such. However, local and national training companies (e.g. VT Group - www.vtplc.com) may be able to push for you on how much it is likley to cost and how the training will operate. Some NVQs involve going to college, sometimes it is possible to arrange assessmen t and training entirely on the employer's premises.
If you get info from training providers and your employer is still not interested, later yes, continuing to contact other employers contained by the area (before quitting your current job) to see if they would be likely to offer NVQ training would be a worthy idea. You'll probably find larger establishments and thos next to the 'Investors In People' kite-mark will be most likely to respond positively.
NVQ's are totally work-based. You would do it through the local college and be allocated a tutor who would come to your work once or twice a month to look at the evidence you own put together against each of the criteria which are laid down contained by the course. Your tutor would probably involve your employer, just to consent to him know what was involved and afterwards your employer could be involved as little or as much as he wanted. One of my human resources is doing NVQ in guidance which cost lb1500 and we have compensated half. I am not sure if this is a standard charge or if it vary from course to course.
I think it's worth asking your employer - he can solitary say no - but he may be impressed next to your desire to progress and feel competent to support you.

My boyfriend is a civil machinate surrounded by a third world country. He will be coming to USA through conjugal.?

Question:
will his engineer level be of any value here or will he own to start all over again. he is within his field for 8 years and is in a minute working as a project manager for a USA base company over there. would obtain a PE license before coming here be of any support?

Answer:
The fact that he have a ce degree and is currently working for a U S base company should open deeply of doors here. Of course how he handles himself surrounded by the interviews will be the deciding factor. There are profusely of openings for civil engineers so finding employment should not be too great a problem. As for a PE license, I enjoy no idea if one will be traditional if obtained overseas. Might be better and dally until he is here to apply.
If he is an engineer, and he have good engineering skills, and can speak English, he will know how to get a profession here an an engineer. I am an electrical get and my company has hired Russian engineers, and we are surrounded by the process of hiring a Chinese engineer. But if his English skills are underprovided, so will his pay and adjectives. Best bet, get the English skill, and other a PE will help. But greatly hard to seize the PE. I am a PE.
WHEN MEXICANS GO TO US TO WORK THEY ARE ASKED FOR A GPA (THEY ARE NEVER FAIR, BY THE WAY)
HOWEVER,NOT ALL OF THE STUDIES IN MX ARE RECOGNIZED IN THE US
I DON'T KNOW WHAT A PE IS BUT BETTER BE READY
you say he is an manufacture with loads of exp finance him
he will surely get a fitting job sooon
he of late need to apply to the rite chore

pe license would be of good relieve.do get it

To Interviewer, Managers, Employer... Why do we inevitability to wear FORMAL wear [LONG Sleeve] and TIE for interview?

Question:
I Need a VERY GOOD EXPLAINATION for this...

Why can't we wear something comfortable like we'd wear day after day... Although we're PRESENTING ourselves, As long as we are NEAT, it should be ok to be in NORMAL wear for interview...

Answer:
So I'll cut my response slightly...

Employers don't ask their interviewees to come dressed in guaranteed attire, but imagine this scenario:

Two equally qualified candidate come in to interview near me. They are nearly identical contained by education & experience. One is wearing a shirt & tie, the other is not. While the other is highly well groomed and wearing alike as what my other employees wear to work every morning, I have the outline that he does not care as much just about getting this job because he did not put contained by the extra effort to impress me. SO seeing as they are both equally qualified and competent, I hire the guy who be wearing the shirt & tie because he is more eager to impress, which will beyond a shadow of a doubt flow through to other tasks that he will perform on the commission.

It reminds me of a story about an member of staff who always put forth 100%, other did what was asked of him, and did it capably. Yet he was other passed over for promotions. When he asked his boss why, his boss asked him to go across the street to the marketplace and find out how much oranges are. The employee did only just that. The boss then asked the other member of staff (the one who got adjectives the promotions) to do the same. The other member of staff came pay for with the price, but also informed the boss that the store subsequent door is selling the same oranges for cheaper. The aim guy #2 was other getting the promotions was because he go ABOVE AND BEYOND what was asked of him.

And yes, in that have be times when I wouldn't hire any one of the applicants. I would simply readvertise until I found a well qualified hopeful who was prepared to make a difference within my company. I once interviewed for three months before I hired someone for a unquestionable position.

Good luck!
Interviews are professional, you should look professional. At a professional environment you would be wearing professional clothing, so that is what you wear to an interview. If nation wore their everyday clothes to an interview, then you wouldn't find a job.
If you wear something comfortable, vs something professional, that a moment ago lets individuals know you're lazy. Why can't you put something more suitable on for an interview? If it's that much of a problem or that much trouble for you to fashion the extra effort when you're trying to GET the post, what makes me surmise you're not going to be like that AFTER you're hired. Come on man!? Is it that serious that you can't put your best foot forward?
It shows respect. You are showing that you consider the appointment to be significant and for you to look your best. It says that you are constructive and a team player. The same root you wear a suit to a wedding or funeral: to emphasize the importance of the event.

If you are working surrounded by a older, traditional pen, this is quite prominent.
You need to because you want to obtain employed. Otherwise, you don't have to.
Yet adjectives thou that you cant work in the attire but the Grooming prospect are indeed stated within the business grooming standards. well try to seize use to it as time pass you'll hold it.
Interviews are considered much like any other professional exchange or business thing. It should be handled beside a certain plane of professionalism which happens to include appearance. People commonly look their best when wearing professional attire.

Other than this reason, it is mostly a required slice of an interview - if you don't dress the way you're expected, you shouldn't expect to bring back the job.
You don't necessarily own to wear a formal. It standard that you dress one step above what you would typically wear daily at that position.
Because they will hold the tie (if you F**k next to them) and they will spin your a** out of there.. if the do not close to you. just for saftey drive the wants you to wear full sleeve . so that after falling on your a** (you might fall down on your elbows...) you won't get chisel!!
Actually, you are supposed to check out the place before you interview to see how they dress. Then you are to dress properly. You would not wear a suit into a job interview that does not require you to do so. You want to other look professionally, but the part as ably. In addition, one is never over dressed. So, it is a event of common sense.
