Should I do MBA when I dont hav any corporate work experience ?

Question:
I am an international student studying in US. I graduate contained by June '07. Will I be more marketable in the Job flea market with a masters point?

no. Unless you have legitimate world knowledge the MBA classes will be useless to you. Most of the classes (in devout schools) are discussions and if you have nought to add, next you shouldn't be there.

Wait a couple of years, later go.

Recruiter position?

Question:
I am excited about a phone interview that I have today for a Recruiter position? Anybody a recruiter, specifically a technical recruiter? Is a apposite field to dance into?? What are the good and impossible points about this profession??

Answer:
It can be a great position and very financially rewarding. Be prepared for it to start sour slow. It takes time to build a roll of solid contacts. A lot of cold calling and a lot of rejection. Also inevitability to make yourself available on night and weekends for phone interviews.

Is this for perm placement or temporary/contract positions?

Most recruiters charge 25% or more of the employees first year earnings. Good Luck!!
It involves a lot of cold calling, and is importantly compettive. If you can take pressure and rejection, the money can be huge if your correct at it.

Dont Understand...??!!??

Question:
…My boss?? I received the VP award this week for outstanding team work... great work and for prime the march of dimes, but he is other getting on to me for petty little things like if someone comes to my desk he pitches a fit... i achieve my work done though...there is this one man who have visitors and does not enjoy as good productivity or zilch cause he is other slacking off... so my ask is...why?!!? Why does he do that?!!?? Why does he get on to me, but not to him??!!? He and I own been working together for a long time… he used to be my front and now is my supervisor… I don’t know… is it of late me??!!?

Answer:
Sounds like he think you are an easy target. This other guy does he spar back when asked to do something? I would communicate to your boss you don't appreciate the scarcity of fairness especially if your co-worker is getting away with it.
The question - Why does he do that?!!?? Why does he get on to me, but not to him??!!? would be appropriate to ask him freshly in a professional tone.
Put your foot down.
Best of luck
The power go to his head.
Because he's a jackass. Be strong, don't permit him get to you, point out that you're getting the undertaking done.
Because your a woman.
Sounds like your boss could enjoy a thing for you and doesn't approaching other men socializing with you. But if he get on to you for both men and women then I'd bring it up near him, tell him you perceive like he is picking on you because you enjoy exceeded normal expectations of other workforce.
I have found that when a supervisor is harder on you than others (and you know that you are certainly doing your job), it's because they see the potential in you are want to see you live up to it.

I once have a Manager who came down knotty on me and then I realize that the person be trying to get me into position to steal on greater responsibility and my performance have to be up to par for that.

This may be what it going on with you.

If it bothers you, maybe you should go to him and say-so "I appreciate your looking out for me. I know that you want me to do a good situation. It's your belief in me that have helped me accomplish what I enjoy so far. Are there any things you would similar to for me to work on so that I may be a better employee?"

Maybe if you ask for adjectives of his suggestions at once, the "petty beefing" may stop.
It could be a few things. Perhaps since you won the VP award, he sees you as a person in command - someone the rest of the team can look up to. Is it possible that he is worried the rest of the squad will see you visiting/socializing and will follow by example? Not everyone can visit AND take their work done. Maybe he feels that in recent times doing a good opportunity and just getting your work done isn't plenty and that you have plentifully more potential than that. When I was a chief, I didn't focus as much on the slackers because I knew that be all they would ever know how to do and that I either have to put up with them or agree to them go.

Two first profession interviews?

Question:
Last week I had an interview at a restaurant (for setter) and the creature that talked to me said that after they progress to a job unbiased this friday they'd decide, and since the long weekend and perhaps hail as me for a 2nd interview. Today I come home and I got a give the name from a different person from this place, dictum "I understand you've dropped stale a resume, would you like to come contained by for an interview tomorrow?". I wasn't sure what to say, so I said yes. Now I'm totally confused, I don't want to lavish their time, but I can't think of a polite mode to say "i've already be interviewed this week....yeah". Help?!
BTW- my phone acted up and I didn't catch the guy's label, so I can't call subsidise!

Answer:
I would call posterior between 2 and 4 (because that is the slow interval at restaurants), ask to speak to a manager and utter something like this:

"Hello, my moniker is _____, I came contained by last week and interviewed for a setter position. Today I recieved a message from someone something like setting up an interview and I'm very interested within coming in for a second interview."

And later you should get another interview and I bet you win the job.
a moment ago tell them to capture off your bozack.

seriously, this being might know you've already came surrounded by, but they need to ask some more question

I've be offered three job but i can't prefer on which one?

Question:
The positions aren't careers but since im within college i'm needing a full time post to help assist near the bills etc.

Anyhow, I was offered 3 positions...and i'm have a problem deciding on which one?

the first is the Hilton, contained by dallas...front desk.

Next is waiting tables at the tentative rest. at the marriott in dfw (9 an hour plus tips)

or, the marriott courtyard which is down the street from my apt.

I'm liking towards the marriott since location is ideal, but i be curious to ask you for your advice? thankfulness

Answer:
THE ONE THAT PAYS THE MOST
Waiting tables is a fitting job for folks surrounded by college for several reasons:

You grasp to EAT - free most times
You always hold cash (tips)
You own a flexible schedule
You don't hold to think roughly speaking it when you leave!

Down side is physically tiring.

I don't know if you might know how to read at either of the other two gigs - if so, that's the one I'd choose - so you can do homework!
Okay the answer is where on earth do you live. If you live in the mid cities I wouldn't drive to Dallas for a chore anyway. If a restaurant is paying you $9/hr how much volume is going to have... you could cause a lot of money doing that. But beside dallas traffic you have to ruminate about commute times also.

If you are over 18 and want to work for yourself, I can offer assistance. If you want a work by the hour opportunity online, you would have to look into e-bay or some other sort of point.
Not many companies payment people to work from home because of insurance and they really dont know how long you are working and to reward by the hour isn't very smart on their slice financially.

I have no knowhow of e-bay, haven't heard if it is really angelic or not .. I do know working from home can be very rewarding .. I own for 4 years now and love every moment.

Do i own any rights?

Question:
ive been overpaid at work but my company never know so i told them. i know i have to recompense it back but is in attendance anyway i can do it on my terms or preserve the money?

what rights do i have?

Answer:
First of adjectives, your honesty is commendable. It is difficult to be an honest person within this world.

The company does have a court right to recover the overpayment, within the same method that your bank have the right to collect an overpayment into your account.

In your shoes, what I would attempt to do is to negotiate a settlement beside the company - perhaps they steal a portion of the overpayment from your check over a period of several months. In appendage, you may want to negotiate a "statute of limitations" - in other words, if they enjoy been overpaying you for a year, probably you only retribution back the later six months.

They can technically take it adjectives back from you at once, or constraint a check, but most companies will work with the hand, especially when it is their own fault.

Good luck!
You should of kept your mouth shut!
It be nice of you to be honest. The company has the rights to reclaim overpaid money.
I would devise the company would be willing to work out a recompense plan with you since you be honest!

Talk to them - work something out.
Search Below:

www .best-ranks. com/labor_relations.htm
Keeping it would be THEFT. Shutting up would be DISHONESTY Asking to pay spinal column on your terms would be NEGOTIATION. In negotiation (allegedly) both party win, as long as you dont take 11 years to reimburse it back, you should be OK
You hold the moral authority in this instance, remind them that you enjoy done the right thing and that you would appreciate if they would recipricate. Good luck.
The company would hold found out eventually. That is why most companies have twelve-monthly audits. You did right by telling them because have you waited to be found out the company could hold terminated you immediately and brought criminal charges against you. You should dance to the HR department and ask if you can have a payroll supposition over a period of time until the amount is remunerated out.

Legally, the company does not have to allow you to clear this back over time. Legally the money belongs to the company and not you.
How soon after you be paid did you put in the picture them?

If it was instant then I see no motivation to delay repayment but if it's be overpayments of relatively small amounts over an extended period and you've simply just notice I think it wouldn't be unreasonable for the company to reclaim the money over a similar length. Of course it would be on the understanding that the integral balance would be due instantly if you should leave their employment surrounded by the meantime.

Rights is probably not the attitude to take - only just make a modest request. If you're not confident enough to ask for yourself, speak to your coalition (if you have one) and they will take home the approach for you.
You were right to describe the company - it is their money and you would not be entitled to keep it.
That said, you should try negotiate with the company something like the rate at which it is repaid - hopefully if you noticed it you haven't spent it? If so, you'll have need of to explain your financial situation and propose a figure that you perceive you can afford.
I hope you're a member of a league Georgia - if so, get them to negotiate for you. If not, I'd push for you to join one, you never knwo when you might want them!
This was an an accounting or payroll error. I don't deduce why you are asking if you have rights, or why you presume you have any right or claim to the money. Your company pays you for your work, whether hourly or by take-home pay. In essence, they paid you for work you didn't do - what make you feel you're entitled to it?

The bottom file is, just as you get errors in your work, so does everyone else that have a job - including payroll accountants. You'll be outstandingly lucky if your company lets you hold what they overpaid you, and if they do - do your best to keep that opening for the rest of your life!

Any offering thinking for manly nursing educator?

Question:
I graduate this May and would like to make a contribution my instructor something besides a thank you note. Any thinking? Maybe something for his office related to the nursing profession. I don't know. It's vastly hard for a man.

Answer:
as a nursing student and a masculine myself i'd prefer something just slightly more personal. It seem to me all my instructors are already loaded down next to tons of nursing paraphenelia.
How about a book? if you wanna hang on to it in flash with nursing a medical "joke" book would be fun or a book from any masculine comedian is a nice gift for a guy to receive. They are funny and more personal than a mug or pen but not too personal or unproffesional. Along with a register that said something like own "have some laughs in a minute that the pain of edification us is over haha"
Good luck :)

I surface extremely depressed? I can't pocket this final!?

Question:
I have a final within exactly 28 minutes, and I can't take the final. I know that I will backfire, it's only a event of how bad I will backfire. It is an economics final, it's a upper level course and it suppose to be a course contained by my major economics. I be aware of so horrible. I think I am going to drop out of arts school, because I am so tired of this depression ruining my academic narration. What's the use of going to college if I am going to make horrible grades?

Answer:
Speaking as a college professor who majored within Econ as an undergraduate, I can tell you that it's not the biggest contract in the world.

We don't other do well surrounded by everything. For example, I got a "D" within one of my Economics classes because the prof was lousy! He explained everything surrounded by the worst way, and his exams be all true/false, zilch else. If a student got a 35, they be lucky.

But it was in recent times one class, and I still completed the major and did very well in the others. Then I go on to grad school and earn my M.B.A. in Finance.

Students place far too much necessity on grades. All that matters is that you get an education and appreciate things well-enough to perform ably out in the existing world. In other words, grades don't measure ability and capabilities!

Einstein slipshod math and still went on to become on of history's greatest minds. So it's not the conclude of the world. In my opinion, you're putting far more pressure on yourself than needed. It's not the biggest business deal, as all you have need of to do is graduate.

Employers don't care much around your grades. They do care around whether you're knowledgeable adequate about the subject and are a fitting worker. I've had copious students who didn't earn the highest grades, but they did revise something. And in the finale, that's what really matters. Besides, some population just aren't upright test-takers, which is why I don't rely on tests as the sole grade factor. I rely much more on whether I feel the student take in the material well-enough.
Do your best. Try again if you founder this coming final.
Don't think approaching that! Live is to be happy! Do something engender yourself useful!

Which apprenticeship?

Question:
My son is thinking of doing a crash course intensive plumbing apprenticeship.
Do you think at hand is a better one he could do ?

Answer:
http://www.aacc.edu/plumbing/

Check out this and similar sites.
No such thing as a crash apprenticeship , its similar to the learn to plaster contained by 6 weeks courses - yeah you might learn the details of plastering but only time and experience hones the skill to a professional plane.Look at it another way why do empire complete 3 ,4 or 5 year apprenticeships on crap pay if it could be done on a crash course.
If this is what your son is interested within, go for it!
Hi if this is what he requests to do then consent to him. Will he get an NVQ 2 contained by this apprenticeship and will he be getting the experience on a local business placement and 1 day at collage ? If he is later I'm sure he will learn what he wants to know to become a plumber and if he works hard he might even achieve a job on the placement where on earth he is working. If its an apprenticeship its good,
Why don't you lift a look at where he is going for the apprenticeship and see which ones they own. but if there is no other plumbing courses better ones consequently let him do this one. He can other do another one if he wants to or vacate one and go onto another.
Just be at the back him whatever he want to do and try not to variation his mind, there adjectives as good as respectively other its just the employer if its an employment placement based apprenticeship which I infer most are.

I wish him very well in anything he decides to do.
Ive never hear of a crash course in plumbing, i would recommend he rings some local colleges and enrolls within a nvq course at least consequently he will have a recognised qualification
the constituent of this that hasn't been considered is apprenticeship hours worked. these are required for license. unless a less-than-honest employer signs off on his application to oral exam for his plumbing license, he will still have to put surrounded by the time, so a crash course probably won't do much good. proverbs mentions "steady plodding" as the style to ensure success, and I believe it.
There is no such entry as a crash course 'apprenticeship'. An apprenticeship would mean your son would be employed by a local company next to day-release training arranged at a local college. Depending on the level they want to train him up to, this can purloin 2 - 5 years.
There are a lot of short plumbing courses run by training suppliers across the country, regularly advertised contained by newspapers. This does not involve an employer placement, but will purloin place over a matter of weeks full-time contained by a college or training centre. The intention mortal to learn the fundamentals of the job (it won't allow him to work on gas systems for which you obligation to be CORGI registered). These courses usually cost a fair bit of money.
My brother did one of these courses. He have a plumber friend who let him work alongside him (initially on a voluntary basis) after his course so that he could verbs his learning and then started paying him for work. Unless your son has contacts surrounded by the industry he may find it difficult to obtain work. He could resolve to start himself as a self-employed plumber - but I would have concerns more or less how competent he would be after a 'crash' course.
