yes you can. do an access course at college. this is call an access to health professions course. it will cost you some money if you are over 18.
i hold been doing an access course very soon for a year, or you can take the 2 year course. im doing it to obtain in to uni and study human biology, tenet and psychology. some of the people on my course are doing this course and after will be off to be a social worker. most of them will not budge to uni to get a point.
best thing to do is ask at your local college if they do courses that allow you do progress in to your chosen profession minus the need for university, hope this help
