Usually you will gain more total dollars by separating items. However, if you have alot of inexpensive items, the register fees and the time and effort collecting fee, packaging and shipping can be too much work for the little money. I wont provide an item if I cant clear at least $25.00 profit on the public sale. Anything less than that and my time would be better spent working at Burger King...So, I will box up small items and sell them as a 'lot' to achieve the price where it is worthwhile.
