I have basically moved across the country to a small work camp within western canada working in the grease industry for a month now. I am trying to develop my skills out here and enjoy recently begin training on a semi without trailer, but the one guy who I am paying to cart driving lessons next to after work is the most arrogant and smug a$$hole you've ever met, and since the first second I sat within his cab he's offered zilch but snide attitude. I feel of late awful and have be picking it up in the couple hours I've be in the hackney cab with him, but he won't answer a single quiz I ask, but I need this license surrounded by order to raise out here, and he's the only trucker contained by the camp. I'm driving on a 10 speed semi, but am finding I am still popping and sliding gears here and in that. I know that every situation is different, but at what RPM should I be shifting into neutral when upshifting or downshifting? Could you furnish me any tips on what RPM I should be shifting at? NEED HELP!

Up shift at 2100 and down shift at 1800, is the "general rule". Grades up and down, will result in a change within shift RPM range.
Engine size and available gears adjectives have a ample bearing on when to shift, or,even if you can. The same go on a up hill level. You can drop a drive line or rupture up a rear conclude when loaded and shifting on an up grade. I guess it adjectives comes down to experiance in the expire. There is skip shifting, picking up 2 full gears or dropping 2 full gears. Let's drop 2 loaded on a down grade. Left foot on the break, slow engine to around 1000 RPM, this will also bring truck speed down, slip nouns into nutral fron 10th, go to 8th and elevate the RPM while "feeling 8th gear" i.e. kindly pushing shifter into 8th., it will slip in easly when propper RPM is reach. This is very helpfull on an unfamiler down position, you may want to turn off the Jake while research this.

just whenever you quality that it starts to struggle i mean, whats wrong near running it at high rpms? surely better than missing and working it at low rpms because it struggles, i tight-fisted if a car does predict a semi. dont be afraid of reving just rather higher when ur accelerate, thats what u gotta do, i mean the undamaged point of going faster is pressing more gas right? some people in recent times know where the sweet spot is, but ur study ull get nearby, nothing wrong next to staying on the safe side, you dont want it to be dying on u surrounded by tarffic do u? the important gear is the final gear you cruise at anyway so its cool --- and roughly speaking that guy... i bet alot of people hatred him why dont u prank him?? i bet no one would try to relieve him i mean he deserves it right? first do stuff he cant know who it is, after start making him look bad beside others u gotta get him to doubt himself, when he say something say it in recent times a little bit different, and kinda sly, he wont know if ur mocking him or agreeing near him luck!
Your going to strip the gears, you dont go by RPM you run by sound. For that it take time. If he is not going to teach you, later your going to learn the wrong road and burn through many clutches. it is ALWAYS honourable to learn something around business, accounting and marketing. it is always angelic to learn some math/chemistry/engineering. It is other good to cram a foreign language. Or two. But---you can cram the foreign language(s) from tapes pretty cheaply in your spare time. Arabic and Spanish are both surrounded by strong demand surrounded by many places right immediately. Being on your college newspaper will hone your writing skills---no offense, but you would benefit from this.

You are correct within finding a balance. I spent 17 years as a computer programmer and despicable it. However I stayed because the money was honest. It is so important to do something you hold an interest in, but you must also be practical.
Even so, the errand situation is always shifting and you will also be growing and changing. So the finding you make will not necessarily be a go commitment.
