Question:
In Scottish law

A former hand is questioning/disputing my definition
of " hardworking & reliable" in a written hint I recently
provided.

I be under the depression, I was entitled to donate " my opinion"
without dread of dispute.

I should add, within were no untrue or derogatory comments made, simply my appraisal of him

Is it not the bag, that he should never have see my comments
at all, as they be addressed to his modern employer

Answer:
The reference you give should have be confidential and it is my understanding that, beneath the terms of that Data Protection Act, this employer should own sought your permission up to that time sharing it with anyone, even the individual to whom it relates. (Confidential references are exempt from the Freedom of Information/Data Protection Acts and he have no right to access them.) The reference is a report belonging to you as you be the writer of it.
This is precisely why confidential employment references be exempt from Data Protection/Freedom of Information legislation - the risk otherwise is that employers would not perceive free to give honest evaluations and the integral process would become meaningless.
That said, now he have seen it, as long as you can safeguard the comments you made and it is an honet appraisal, you are quite right that you enjoy done nothing wrong whatsoever.
Hardworking & reliable are subjective tearms of referance. They are deeply much subject to discution.
absolutely right he should not enjoy read that reference. you dont hold to explain anything to him.

How long justifiably are you allowed to work since have a break?

Question:
i work 5 hours a day but regard as i am entitled to a 10 minute break after 4 . my boss says its 6 hours whose right ?

Answer:
yes your right its a 10 min break every four hours thats what my accountant tell me
i thought it was 5 hours and afterwards you need a break.
im sure its immediately 5 hours for a 15 to 20 minute break in the UK
it used to be 4 hours though
im preety sure the decree may say its 5hrs!
i expect you are entitled to a 5 minute break for every hour you work for 5 or more hours in a row, so i f you worked a 7 hr hours of daylight you would be entitled to 35min break, but i think its up to your employer when you can pilfer it.
I do knoe thow that you have to pocket a break every 2hrs when driving regardless of over all tour time
5 hours
It's been a while, but if I recollect correctly, you're both partly right.... A break is required after 4 hours, if the total shift is 6 hours or more.
adjectives depends on what your role is, fopr example if you work on a computer, you are entitled to 10 mins every 2 hours as set by HSE
Your boss is right, it is 6 hours and then you can enjoy a 20 minute break

There is also nothing to articulate have a break after 2 hours if you are using computers. You should enjoy breaks or a change of stir but no time scale is laid out.

I work at HSE and empire ask this alot
legally you hold to break every 4 hrs of work.
But the Boss always have his own law.
We own no choice but follow him.
It all depends where on earth you work i.e. country & workplace. However i am quite sure you are entitled to one after 5 hours, i catch a break after working 5 hours, but my manager is awesome and let me have a 15min break even when i work for 4 hours, so check near ur management, sometimes it is best to ask them, not ur boss. But if nearby is no mangement i guess you'll have to ask ur boss.

But yeah it should be 5 hours
you r lawfully entitled to 20mins break for every 4hrs worked

If working long hours is the American route, then I'm screwed because I'm not doing it.

Answer:
I agree beside you. I need my time stale. And I seem to know how to get everything I stipulation to within the regular 40 hour work week.

I'm sure some society do it to get further within your job (impress the boss), some do it for the overtime, so do it so they don't own to go home and some society likely do it because they requirement to (i.e. their work load is sizeable and they can't get it adjectives done in the 8 hours they have).

I've worked long days previously but I try not to make it a way.
You get gray fuzz, ulcers, heart problems, stress, irritability, and depression because you do not receive to spend enough time near your family or only relaxing!
It depends on the job. Some job you work the long hours when starting out, then you gain a good payoff next to a promotion or raise and the hours are cut down. Some inhabitants it pays off and it's worth it. Some ancestors love working, so then it's worth it. Me, I don't mind working a long week every so commonly to get the employment done. But if it's all the time, no it isn't worth it.
Um, some individuals have to work that oodles hours just to support themselves and their family. I live in Southern California, and the rent and mortgage's are so elevated, that working long hours or two jobs is almost important to get by.
Quality of natural life is important!

I work for a church on the board. We save roughly 50m dollars surrounded by chking acct?

Question:
We are non profit. We spend about 3mto6m per month but know more than 20m per year. How can we earn interest on our money. We also earm 20m respectively year from fundraising.

Answer:
If you are serious (and that must be a big church, because mine only take in almost a million a year), there are other CDs. Here's the thing... you don't want to put a church's money surrounded by anything high risk. While you want a return, there's other money markets as in good health.

In addition, fund a few charities (create some of your own) and reap both the charge benefits and your neighbor's gratitude.
You should consider opening a Money Market reason to keep the excess change in. If you plain it at the bank you currently are at, they should know how to link the accounts together so you can verbs between them easily. MMAs are obedient because you still have access to them whenever you necessitate it and won't be charged a penalty for withdrawing from them if you necessitate to. A CD may also be honest, but the money would be tied up for whatever length of time the disc term is. Talk to your guard about the rates that are offered on MMAs and CDs currently at their institution.
Those funds are not nearby to be invested in a long-term program. They own to be available the moment an emergency arises. The job of a church is not to produce money, but to distribute it to those within need.

God's plan is for relations to give. He supplies through His population, not money market accounts or any other investment.

Is this a obedient Cover missive - or do I involve to imrove - please read and warning - Thanks?

If not, that sentence wishes some major facilitate as well) I wouldn't say if suitable enough because that sounds resembling there's the possibility you won't be. The last paragraph, the first sentence doesn't nouns right. Say I am very interested surrounded by international business, as this is my specialty.

Otherwise, sounds virtuous! Good luck!
maybe a few too masses 'I's
You should say 'until' not 'till' you graduate

also read out. ' I believe I can be a valuable asset to your organisation' not 'I discern I will be a good fit for your administration.'

Resume Questions?

Question:
Activities: Do employers really want to know that i similar to to take pictures and progress camping? What do they want scheduled under deeds?

Work History Should i put down all the underneath the table jobs i have or not list them

Pretty much anything you can speak about me will help. I own not had to compress one on these out before i indicate i have worked past but never for a company that wanted a resume from me HELP PLEASE

Answer:
Employers mostly want to know things relevant to the type of work you are seeking. Under happenings I usually add community deeds I've done that demonstrate experience or skills relevant to the types of jobs I'm seeking, i.e. volunteer management awards committee member, or volunteer group facilitator at mayor's summit.

Adding one or two personal interests give a little insight into who you are beyond work, which matter to some employers more than others. In my experience most inhabitants will add one or two special interests, especially if they articulate something about your persona or personality, i.e. run the Honolulu Marathon. But, I have see occassions with hiring manager felt a stronger inclination if they discern you share a personal interest, i.e. hiking, photography

"Under the table jobs?" Oh, uh... I can't hear you. Seriously, if you parsimonious that you worked illegally or that you didn't wage taxes, I'd say it would almost never be a apposite idea to push that information. I'd also be careful almost documenting things that you might later need to "take the fifth" on. But, if you're sending cover post, you might say something approaching "in increment I have help out with serving customers at an acquantances restaraunt."

You can find other resumes online pretty hurriedly. I'd suggest typing in the word resume and/or "indication resume" and some of your industry jargon, and you'll be capable of find a few examples to use as models. Good Luck!
THey DO want to know that you have outside deeds - this shows that you're an interesting person beside a life.

The underneath the table jobs are okay to chronicle as long as you're willing to discuss them - if they are "sketchy" avoid putting them on because employer WILL ask about them

Tip: Write an aim at the top of your resume this helps employer know waht YOU want (ie full time, part time etc)
jump to careerbuilder.com and use thrie resume builder. It will have your resume looking great contained by no time..good luck contained by the job scour...

PS. Its FREE
Dont waste their time witht the undertakings. As for your jobs, cover the ultimate 5 years or any work experiencenthat is relavent to the job you are applying for. You can receive a resume book at your local library and while your there check out an interview book to relieve you though the most common question.
Yes put down your hobbies/intrests, it shows you have a time and skills and it give them something to cooperate about.

Dont put too frequent jobs down basically the best ones.

Keep the overall CV inforative but not too long.
they don't care, they in recent times want to see what you have contained by common
Yes, employer want to know about your outside interests. It is also a adjectives tool for them to determine if you will have potential scheduling conflicts near work. As a general rule, work history should include the job you have have, however, seeing under the table job on a resume does not look good. Plus, if you hold gaps contained by your employment history or haven't stayed at one job for longer than a couple of months it may be a red flag to employer.
Good question....

I would show the pictures if you're going to be a military camp instructor.

Avoid activities listings on resumes.

Here's some social bookmarks that hold been save by 2015 people as of today.

Robert
Resumecrazy
employer like to know for a moment about the ethnic group they tend to employ, so interests does serve to find out what sort of person they are, and as for work history i just ever write down the long term job or jobs of significance, it's pointless writing them adjectives down as if there are loads of short possession jobs the likelihood are they wont employ you as they will contemplate your only after the chore for the short term.
I would not document activities....I work for a staffing agency, and I've be trained to delete this information before we even convey it to our clients for candidate review. Our contractors don't meticulousness that John Smith likes to work on custom cars and scrutinize action films. It's irrelevant. If you enjoy done volunteer or charity work, put that under the Activities subsection, if not, delete it entirely.

For work history I would not roll under the table job, absolutely not...it's a risk. If you hold worked at those jobs for significant amounts of time, and obligation to include it to avoid having big gap of time between employment, maybe rob a chance and include it, they probably will not give the name to verify.

What they are going to look at your resume for is organization, orderliness, attention to detail (no typo's, etc), and mostly for keywords and experience that shows you can handle their assignment! Also that you have stable work history, if you hold mostly jobs that you've held for at lowest 2 years, that helps.

Let me know if you necessitate any more help, I format and correct resumes for a living! My e-mail is enabled.

:)
Don't verbs too much about the interests clause, you can miss it out if you like. An employer is not going to be swung by whether or not you relish going camping. The with the sole purpose time it can be useful is if it demostrates an potential or characteristic that may be required for the assignment.
E.g. To become a firefighter it is important to be physically fit and a apposite teamworker, so evidence of participation within team sports is a positive piece.
Likewise, evidence of any practical spare-time activities look suitable for careers involving practical skills.

Regarding your work history, I'd lean to list everything you hold done (unless there are too lots and it makes you look approaching a serial job-hopper). The alternative though would be to have a break in your employment history and it'll look resembling you were out of work and doing nothing!
Don't be in motion into too much detail about respectively jon though, just inventory the basic details (there's no track the employer will know whether it was an 'under the table job' or not).
You could start your resume next to a personal profile section, which will allow you to pick out the relevant skills/knowledge you own acquired for the assignment you are applying for.
i recruit profoundly of people and i dont want to know nearly their personal life - i want to know how ably they can do the job. you should schedule your work history in vocabulary of achievements and use words such as
achieve
implemented
set up
designed
supported
initiated

Do I deserve a bring to the fore? ($9.50/hr assistant manager)?

Question:
So, I asked my boss for a $2.50 raise (which is a colossal raise, up to $12/hr). I own worked as an assistant manager at a eBay store contained by an upscale area for 8+ months in a minute. NO BENEFITS! I receieved an e-mail from another co-owner later that hours of darkness:

"I want to let you know that [boss] informed me of your request/ inevitability to maintain the fitness to move into your new residence. I will speak beside you on this matter on Wednesday. Just know that we ruminate the world of you and your happiness is a priority to us newly as, of course, is the nouns of [our company]. Thank you for coming to us with your request. We appreciate your honesty."

In your belief, what will be the outcome on Wednesday?! What should be the outcome?

Answer:
Congrats on making the request! So often populace sit and complain about the wage but don't engineer strides to do anything to effect the change.
You requirement to prepare for your meeting on Wednesday. To ask for an increase is the first step. Now you involve to show how it's a sound business conclusion for them to honor your request. For example, have your duties and responsibilities enjoy increased or changed? Are you currently being compensated below market good point for your skill set? Do you have a skill that may not enjoy been a requirement when you be hired but would now tag on value to the dept?
If your defence is only to afford a current car, apt or life span style you risk looking unreliable and unprofessional.
Do your research. Check out Monster.com - Salary Search to give you the ammunition you have need of and review interviewing tips. You're essentially going through the negotiation part of the interview again. Do your research and you should be successful.
Hold firm to the tilt,if they really value you, you'll take it.It would also be wise to brand name a list of the things you do for the company that no else desires to do,or is capable of doing.Getting a elevate is almost like a errand interview, you have to trade yourself, and make them expect they can't afford to lose you.Good Luck.
You can probably expect a 3% raise. That's typical of any business for nearly every member of staff, unless you can point out why they need you more than someone else. I would suggest making a detail of the tasks that you do over and above anyone else in the company and propose it to the commissioner or owner. Good luck!
