I am currently looking for work; but not have much nouns. Is looking via an agency a fitting piece or not?!?

Question:I am looking for work and would like other people's opinion and experiences when looking via an agency.

Answers:
I've worked for a temp agency.

Pro - You can usually get some work (translate as cash) right away. They collectively pay legally. Often times you are offered a permanent position near the company.

Con - No benefits. No security. You might enjoy to take those sttupid test in their organization (I had to pocket typing and MS Office tests to prove proficiency.).

Other Answers:
Temp agencies are great to work through. They usually tryout you on your skills and see what kind of work would be best for you and are usually pretty apposite at finding a job suitable. Granted adjectives jobs offered are initially provisional but most of the time if you do a good brief they will offer you a full time position inside the company.

I highly recommend them.
Agencies are fitting way of getting work straight away and also your 'feet thru' the doors' of big Companies. However, while you are temping, you are constrained to benefits such as less rewarded holiday, no sick pay, no firm committment how long you will remain next to each assignment. The pay envelope is also shite and the only accurate thing is that you don't enjoy to give and make out if you wish to vacate although that can also be bad if it's the agency and/or the Company you're assigned to wishes to call off your contract, then they can also do this rapidly. So take your own pick whether it's correct or not, I'd only dance down that route if I was have trouble finding work!
Once I was stranded within a foreign state-it was nearly impossible to find adequate work to survive and get adequate cash to receive home-I signed on with a temp. agency- which lead to being hired by a company that I stayed near for over 3 years. Then I was hired by a competitor and am presently making a very flawless living. So use them as a starting point-
i found that an agency is more interested in getting their commision than the individual personality and what they really want. when i went to an agency to appendage in cv the receptionist didnt even look at me!! the empire were merely interested in putting me within a job to teem the position , even if it didnt fit my crietera or what i wanted. at the finale of the day i am not gonna work for someone when i dont want to be working in that or doing something that doesnt interest me or even earning adequate money, just so the agency can grasp commisssion. I would probaly not use one. saying that though in that are probaly really good agency out in attendance so by all manner have a look around but be in motion with your gut instinct!!
I've have good luck using agencies. The knob is to find an agency, and an agent, that is moral. If you can get a referral from a friend that have a good experience, after you're ahead of the game. Search firms are typically employed by a company b/c the company themselves can't find anyone on their own. This could be a big benefit to you, because it way the hiring company is starting to get rather desparate. This usually applies to large companies. Either that, or they enjoy no expertise in recruit for a particular type of position. Again, a plus for you surrounded by getting in the door for an interview.

Search firms should not ask you for any money. If they do, verbs. Search firms make their money when the company hires you, and the company will foot the search firm a levy, typically a percentage of your salary, and it does NOT come out of your paycheck. This is suitable because the agent working for you only get paid if you bring back hired, so they need to carry you hired so they can pay the rent. The downside is that smaller quantity than reputable search firms or agents use the turd method. You know, throw plenty at the wall, and something will stick. They'll try and get you to interview for everything lower than the sun, just to increase their probability of making a buck. A good agent will listen to your art goals, and work near you to find opportunities that are the best fit.

The biggest plus is that you enjoy a professional who's actual full time job is finding you a profession. It's like have multiple people adjectives trying to get you hired. And they will own relationships with the hiring companies that you probably do not, which help immensely.

Good luck!
Temp agencies are all right, but you should really try net sites like monster.com and yahoo job. They have other worked for me. Also as a employer we use them all them time.

Do some research on the company and work being offered. Then if they ask why you want to work near, be honest. You must want to work there or you wouldn't be interviewing. A dutiful interviewer can sense rehearsed answers. Often they are looking for confidence and a comfortable air during an interview. I would say that I perceive that I would fit in capably with the company.
That you own an interest in what the company does and that you get the impression you can be a valuable asset to them.
Because you infer that you would be a good asset to the company and, if it is working next to customers, maybe that you work all right with customers. That you hear that their company was a suitable place to work, etc.
research the company, know what the job entail and why you can do the job capably
as far as your nerves, just whip a deep breath and do your best

Good Luck...
I hope this helps and you win the JOB
Why ~do~ you want to work there? You cannot stumble over your tongue if you are recounting the truth.
If it is only the money, and you don't want to read out that out loud, read up on the history of the company, and see if in that is something in here that hits home with you...give you a connection. They'll be impressed next to that. Something as obscure as the resourceful owner was from your great grandfather's home town could even work.
Whatever you influence, make sure it's truthful. Can you recount them they have a appropriate reputation in the community? That other personnel said it is a good place to work? That the type of work is interesting to you and why it interests you? That you want to swot more about anything it is they do? That you like dealing near people? That you resembling helping people, even surrounded by little ways? That you want good work experience to grow on? All these things are possible places to find an answer. Hope this help!
Feel them out first and see if they have a well-mannered sense of humor and if they do then a short time ago say you inevitability to pay the bills, they will procure a godd laugh and you will look bona fide and you will separate yourself from all the other population who also got interviewed. Should I pretend more or less my date of employment on my resume?

Question:I know it is wrong, but I have a year fissure in employment and I know for sure that my previous employer doesn't answer his phone for mention checks.

Answers:
NEVER LIE ON YOUR RESUME

They can do background checks that will show your date of employment - as the command tracks your W-2 forms. It doesn't matter if your previous employer doens't answer his phone. If you lie back on your resume, most likely you will not return with the job... Just enjoy a good answer in the order of what you did for that year... being out of work and claiming benefit doesn't make you unmarketable, it is a tough world out here. Make sure you talk of ways of on the increase your skills while you were on benefit...

But if you LIE on your resume, there will be consequences..any not ever getting a job, or if you procure one, they can sue you if they find out later for misrepresentation and they will without doubt fire you.

Other Answers:
No, you shouldn't.

lie but you better manufacture sure your credit it good since they check that now. no

try it. see what'll happen.
Source(s):
I've done this and gotten away beside it.

no

Absolutely not. If they catch you, you will be fired and you also risk self sued for fraud and perjury. Read that statement right above a signature area on an application. Just be honest that you didn't work for 1 year. sure be in motion for it

no u sud not lie,cos by prospect wen the company checks the details and finds out the truth u will be fired.

If you don't want a job, afterwards sure knock yourself out. Lie all you want.

It depends on where on earth you are going to apply for the job. If it seem like a place that doesn't check reference then travel ahead and lie. Its not resembling your hurting anybody. But if its a super strict company just put the truth. Maybe you can produce two resumes. no don't lie something like your work dates, basically put down you were independently working.

yes you should, however be prepaired because they may ask you nearly them and you need to memorize your answers

Depends what you did surrounded by that gap of a year and how lofty a position you're going for.

On the whole I'd enunciate, do not lie but be liberal beside the truth and hell you can always articulate it was a typo.

In the niggardly time become so good at your chore that they will not want to sack you if they ever find out.

In this case a small feign may bring big rewards and what the mind does know, cannot hurt it.

Yes, because all employer check is references anyway. They don't check employment history. Absolutely not. Why start out a work by lying to them? If you have a year long cavity in your employment history, simply explain why you enjoy it.

If you lie, be prepared to be fired the daylight your new employer finds out. It will throw everything on your resume into doubt. And a story of having be fired will follow you everywhere.

Dumb idea.

Good luck!

No do not slouch, I am in a position at my work where on earth I have to do employment checks, and I do check everything. So if you transmit the truth about human being unemployed it would be easier than lying and have them find out and you not getting hired. (trust me they do find out), just relay the truth and when you get the interview of late explain why... lots easier Even with that I don't mull over you should lie because that can be grounds for dismissal. Just report to the truth.

if you lie and its caught you can/ will be dismissed....better jsut to relay the truth...you know like your mom other told you

Leave the gap contained by time and explain that you were doing something else close to volunteering or something to give you extra brownie points. They do check your history, but it wouldn't really be that doomed to failure to tell the truth. If you seize caught lying they won't hire you at all. If you detail the truth they give you some credit at lowest possible and consideration.

Sure go ahead and obtain fired as soon as they find out you lied. No for 2 reasons:
1) They may find out, and almost other at the worst time. Then you are fired.
2) You will worry in the region of them finding out, and this will affect your job reading.

No, you should not..! Reason?
Every employer need specific empire. If you will lie and be elected then the employer will expect more than you hold. If you will tell the trueth afterwards the employer will give you right humane of job as all right as opportunity to come up.

Don't lie because the second they find you will be fired no business how valuable you are to the company. Don't ever forget that contained by the work world YOU ARE REPLACEABLE. You know it's wrong, yet you hold to ask if it's OK?

And you'll do it if a bunch of anonymous strangers tell you it's OK?

I hope your not applying for a brief for me.

Pick up any resume advice book. It will describe how to honestly knob that question going on for the gap contained by your resume.

Should I voluntarily share a potential employer that I am single lacking kids?

Question:I have be looking for a job, and I know employer arent supposed to ask about wedding ceremony and kids, but would it hurt or help me to volunteer that I single and childless?

Answers:
Hmmm...doesn't appear a wise article to bring up during an interview...I don't see how it would affect your getting or not getting the job and might simply make the potential employer wonder why you are giving out that personal information (after adjectives, whether you're married with family unit or single with no home...either situation could change). I would address my recommendation for the job to some extent than my marital status.

Other Answers:
NO!
i dont assume you should do it, unless you are really desperate to find the ONE! if you are sure you like this entity, then you should try hinting him that you approaching him, or even flirt with him, but i would suggest not to let somebody know him, unless you want to risk losing respect and authority in front of him and others.
no.
No. It is immoral for an employer to discuss this in an interview. For that intention you bringing it into the discussion will make them vastly uncomfortable. It is never, never devout to make the interviewer humiliated with you!
Source(s):
I do interviews.
I don't see how it could hurt you for an employer to know you're single and in need encumbrances (which is how an employer views children), but the bearing you mention it might make a difference. You don't want to look awkward bringing it up; if there's some course to include the information casually within the answer to another question, it might work to your benefit.
Source(s):
Opinion
it depends on the type of livelihood you are looking for be hornest
Whether you tell them or not doesn't thing much, if you say it dispassionately. What is more important is to report them (and even repeat, using different words or approaches) WHY they should give you money; i.e., what value do you give to the company?

A hiring decision is a business outcome, so any information that you provide which helps them to get a right business decision is pious.

If you feel, for example, that the brief requires flexibility (that is, you may have to work week-ends or evenings), next casually mentioning that your evenings are available, WILL support them make a appropriate business decision.

You can utter something like: "I'm clearly committed to succeed in this assignment, even if it requires working overtime sometime. I don't have kids so it's not a problem."

This instantly give you an EDGE over all other parents.

For a job as a cocktail waitress or tango hall girl, by adjectives means recount them.
For a job as a secretary (or doesn`t matter what they are called these days) or retail clerk, no, contained by fact it might hurt.
For a living as an assembly line worker, it might brand name no difference.
Not required to tell voluntarily unless the employer asks you. If he asks too, within is nothing wrong surrounded by mentioning the fact. Afterall, in that are many who trickle in a similar category!
One word you should never bring up within an interview: "Family". It doesn't matter whether you're dictum you have one or not, Don't Ask Don't Tell.

can you work for a company you are sueing?

Question:even if you are sueing for forced dismissal? i was bullied by a staff extremity. now a year following a separate part of the company is offering me a charge. I haven't mentioned the action anyone taken (still going through the courts). But surely they know about it as its like peas in a pod HR department. just not sure if i want to shift back to duplicate company... any ideas of suggestions would be appreciated. Is here anyone out there who have been surrounded by a similar position?

Answers:
I'm an officer of my company and have be on the other side of this issue more than once. There is no legal rail to working for somebody you are suing. And don't give this HR Department too much credit. You would be completely surprised how poor a job plentiful HR departments do in due diligence prior to making a hire. I would stir ahead and apply and interview for the position if I were you. You don't come out and vote it, but it sounds as if this may have be a personal thing between you and your former boss.

Of course, what I mentioned above are the legalities. If you are truly angry at these associates then your heart isn't going to be within it and you should do both yourself and the company a favor and not pursue it. Only you and your maker know if you can really pursue this contained by good expectation. Don't take the undertaking just so you can jump in nearby and be angry and bitter toward them every day. That wouldn't do you any pious either.

Other Answers:
Of course you can. It's expected to become uncomfortable, but you already know that!

Work for a small company (preferably run by europeans - they're way more relaxed) and hold your private affairs private. If you broadcast drama, you're likely to hear supervisor's opinion about it.
