You might try calling a free consultation labor attorney. Not paying you for overtime is unlawful. Do you have proof? Written or otherwise? Ok for him not paying your overtime, you need to tell to the Federal Wage and Hour board. You can find this number in the blue page in your phone book.
As for the trashcan, it sounds resembling he is trying to find a way to fire you so that he doesn't hold to pay that overtime i.e. due to you. What I would do is just not put anything i.e. all that prominent in your trash can. Just trash type of stuff.
