Careers Employment Questions and Answers

What is a personal daytime?

Question:
&how is it different from being on will?

Answer:
If your employer allows personal days, they are like leave days only not booked contained by advance. Examples:

Your dog is sick and requests to go to the vet
You obligation to stay home because a repair person is coming "sometime between 9 am and 5 pm"
Your saloon won't start & you need to put together other arrangements
Your child's school desires you to come in for a discussion
it's a compensated day rotten used at your discretion.
some companies give them, others don't
Anywhere I've worked, it's a time off day even though you might simply take 1 time off and lately be cleaning your house. Some employeers actually singular have personal days that one could use for sick, break, or otherwise...cuts down on the fake "I'm sick" call.
A personal day can be for anything the person wishes to take sour of work for -- leisure, getting some errands done, taking effort of personal matters such as going to the DMV (division of motor vehicles) or only just relaxing for that day. If a character is on leave of bunking off from their job, they are usually doing so for an extended term of time, and it may be due to medical issues or other personal problems such as having to be a caregiver to a relative unexpectedly and not for exercise or petty reasons.
It really isn't give up per se. It is a day for you to pilfer care of personal things. It is designed not really as a day past its sell-by date, but to take protection of stuff. It is there so you don't own to use sick leave or time off. Many people use it as a daylight off for the most division, but that really isn't what it was intended for.
for the most part adjectives a "personal" day is is a sick afternoon or an emergency type day that you use to purely sit at home when you are hung over or just don't enjoy the want and desire to go to work for that year.Basically it is a lazy afternoon or just playing hooky from work.

Dental Assistance is not losing a desk all time lol. I registered at a Dental Assitance Training Program in Manhattan, NY. It be a 12 month program taught by Dentists. Upon completion and Interning. I get hired at a Dental Office located on 5th Avenue. The hours were 8 - 5:30 near a pay of $16 an hour. 95% of the time I be in the sterilizing center, forgiving checking computer/charts and most of all assisting the Dentist. It be a fair chore, very rapid paced. It can be stressful, *eh em* the patients ... but that's agreed. IDK I learned alot during my time as a Dental Assistant. I really enjoy it.

Nursing or business?!?

Question:
Ok, I just finished up my first year of college, and I've be so wishy-washy about whether I want to primary in nursing or business..
while I love to relieve people and I want to be capable of spend time with my inherited when I have one( I'm singular 19), I think nursing is appealing.
but I want to know how to make more money than a nurse's average pay..I've heard going on for nurse anesthesists, but I don't know how hard it would be to become one..
science isn't my best subject.. math, psychology and business courses are ones that I own done really good contained by..and business courses in the adjectives seem more appealing than sciences that I will own to take..
but I keep hold of going back to how I close to that I will always hold a job surrounded by nursing and I like their schedule..but I've heard that they are treated really discouraging..and that their pay isn't adequate for what they do..helping people is the just perk to me..
but couldn't I help citizens in business?! Any proposal is appreciated! =)

Answer:
it depends on where you work as a nurse. i did med-surg for around 4 years, ER for 2 years; the ER, for me (male) was fantastic... things are constantly varying... blood & guts - great environment. med-surg was the pits: soaring patient & nurse turnover, i never really get the chance to "nurse" - ya know? it's the little things that happen in the commencing - calming down a bit old female who suffers from COPD, taking time to actually receive to know a patient's life history. eventually, you enjoy the potential to have profoundly dumped on you (i was initially a floor nurse, consequently what they term a "charge nurse" (basically the editorial column over a group of nurses, but with alike patient responsibilities)). the longer i worked surrounded by med-surg, the less merciful interaction i was afforded. it's resembling you're ONLY there to pass by medications out to race. it lost its luster for me, that's why i got out.

in a minute, if you're young and somewhat mobile, travel nursing isn't too bad. they craft more than the average hospital nurse, but you can go to some unnatural cities and the nursing staff(s) with whom you work repeatedly knows that you're man paid more than they trade name, so they're not as apt to help you find things you'll inevitability on their unit (medications, supplies, pharmacy instructions, IV stands, infusion pumps, etc.). i've only hear this from one travel nurse i met. but, on the flip side, you make more, you can get bonuses (but uncle sam keeps roughly 40% of that bonus), they pay for your insurance, your apartment/hotel while you're doing a tour, 401k, all the regular stuff.

becoming a CRNA is an alternative. most schools immediately "suggest" you apply only if you've have 2-3 years of critical care experience (ICU, CCU, etc.) and this is right policy in my book. problem is, it's sometimes rugged to jump right into critical aid - they sometimes are reluctant to place a "new hire" contained by there to be trained (some places do, some prefer experienced nurses). so that scheme you'll have to work 6 months to a year (or more) on another section (telemtry/cardiac, med-surg, orthopedics, urology, oncology, etc.) to kind of "earn your stripes" - THEN you can try to enter the area(s) within which you think you might be interested.

NP academy is probably a sure bet... you put in an superfluous 2-3 years right after nursing school and you'll probably ALWAYS own a job. NPs generate fairly flawless money, but they're stuck inside all daylight - plus, some have to net rounds in their respective hospital(s). it adjectives depends upon the office next to whom you're employed.

whatever you do, snatch your 4 year degree - bachelor's contained by anything. a 4-year degree open SO many more doors for you within this lifetime.

AND DO NOT STOP ON THAT 4-YEAR DEGREE! I DON'T KNOW YOU FROM JACK, BUT IF YOU GET A DEGREE IN BASKET-WEAVING, JUST MAKE SURE IT'S A 4-YEAR DEGREE!! IF IT TAKES YOU 6 YEARS TO GET A DEGREE, GET YOUR DEGREE!!

good luck. discern free to email w/ questions.
You'll receive over the helping people bit after you've spent some time next to these hypochondriacs. "Nurse my neck tourniquet is too tight, I can't breath... Nurse I soiled myself will you make available me a sponge bath?"
Why couldn't you give a hand people contained by business? You can start a business that helps relatives in entail. I have be in the nursing pen. It is not what it was cracked up to be. I cried at work plentiful times because it takes closely of getting used to. It is a lot of pressure and you other work under someone.

On the other foot, being self employed you can put together what you want. Nursing will limit your money and your endeavors. Besides, you can construct your own schedule and be creative anyone in business.

I'm trying to desire between focusing on becoming a published writer or going to college...what should I do?

Question:
Writing is my passion and my dream is to be a published writer, but I wonder if it would be smarter to jump to college. I write novels, so have a degree would not relief me get published within any way. I'm a widowed, single mother of four, so I know I wouldn't enjoy enough time to do both. I verbs that if I go to college, between the classes and the kids, I won't hold time to write. But I also worry that the writing may not work out, and after I'd need a amount as a back up plan. Financially, I am exceptionally stable, so I can afford to do either.

Answer:
If you can afford to do it, stir for the writing. If that is your dream, don't agree to go of it! You are right, if you do progress to college, you won't have time to do it adjectives. Your kids are the most important entry here, so you must be able to cart care of them, but you also inevitability to take comfort of yourself, and if your dream is to write, then do it. Don't own a thought in your mind that it won't work out. Believe that you can do it, and that you will write a new-fangled that people will read, and it will come to pass. The power of positive thinking is amazing.
Good luck!
if you're financially stable shoot for the publishing

Would it be okay to apply for job at the stop of April if I want to start work at the cease of May?

Question:
Thank you!

Answer:
Sure - by the time you get through an interview process it will be a week or two anyway. Then you'll contribute two weeks' notice at your current employment (or wait until arts school ends), so it will be almost the end of May.

Just agree to the hiring manager know contained by the interview that your availability to start work is the end of May. Good luck!
it depends on the type of post.
the lower the level of the available job, the sooner you will be expected to work. at mcdonald's you probably will start 3 days after being hired. at superior levels several months could elapse between the ruling to hire you and when you start.
that is my experience. if it's entry even and you have a amount, then yes you should apply surrounded by april for jobs within may.
applying, interviewing and selecting adjectives take time. and not a soul expects you to start immediately after elected.
if it's a fast food entry plane job, you will enjoy to tell them the date you can start work.
It doesn't business. The employer will ask you when will you be available, but you won't know exactly how long he can wait.

Do RN's hold weekends to themselves?

Question:
DO RN's ever get their weekends bad? Or at least chunk of their weekends off? Do they hold set schedules? How lots days a week do they work?

Answer:
It depends on where you work. If you're working contained by a doctor's office, you'd incredibly likely win weekends off. If you're working surrounded by a hospital, obviously SOMEBODY desires to work the weekend shifts, but some don't - you'd have to communicate to the employer up front about that. There might be some job it would cut you out of, but far from all.

Many nurses work bit time. For full-timers, four ten-hour days has become pretty common.
Full time is base on 40 hours a week. People are sick 24/7, weekends included---new RNs will get crummy hours surrounded by the beginning---you need to work at getting the better hours as time go on., If you want a Doctor's office--they are open weekdays and past its sell-by date Wednesdays around the USA. relax and good luck.
It depends only just like any other livelihood, 40 hours unless they are just working segment time.
Are you kidding me? Weekends to themselves, just about but maybe every other weekend. Being an Rn is time demanding, and some might work 3 twelve hour shifts a week, some might work a 40 hour week, after there are other the ones who seem to receive stuck working more than their share. If you are wanting a career i.e. not demanding of your time, then one an Rn would not be your cup of tea!!

Interview give somebody the third degree: how could you accord beside multi-tasks?

Question:
i had a senate interview. one question:

if you enjoy multiple tasks assigned by different division and they all surmise their task are significant, how could you deal beside this situation? how could you priorize them?

i need a complete and well-thought answer.

since i just gave a pretty simple answer. thank you

Answer:
Unfortunately, each interviewer may be looking for a different answer. Classes will enlighten you: Should you find yourself with two different project by two different individuals, you should tell them respectively that both are due at the same time & you can't complete them both and ask if the due date you be given is firm. If that doesn't ease it, you help yourself to the problem to your supervisor. But I don't think most interviewers want to hear that. They're looking for trickery. I personally would close to the person to touch confortable to admit timing could be an issue and that they would be confident ample to realize that sometimes everyone needs facilitate and that they talk to their supervisor and capture their input or assistance. Not sure that's the answer anyone else would want.
First I would prioritize them by matter of exigency.
I would document each chore in a time vein with the corresponding deadline by which each charge needs to be completed. The tasks beside deadlines first should be completed first concluding last...Communication is the knob..The departments tasks which are last on my document should be given updates on progress...However if I was given multiple tasks by different divisions and they adjectives wanted them completed right next...... I would analyze how the different divisions co-exist and the systematic order.
ex...In a warehouse you hold receiving, packing, shipping..etc..etc..Obviously for this example I would prioritize unloading tasks First since it comes first in the production process. Many times different divisions head request tasks to be completed without analyzing the system decree structure. If that where the luggage I would educate them by transmit them.
i.e. Sorry Sir, but we are unable to prepare an accurate report on the bread value of our products within stock because supply has not cycle counted-inventoried the body of items in stock.. I will contact Supply and request the cycle count as soon as possible. I will update you after I contact them.

HOPE THIS HELPS!

What subjects to pocket...?

Question:
in a few weeks we enjoy to choose our subjects for next year.
I hold 3 more years left at dignified school, im 15 and im not sure what i want to do all the same. I have some design... (most liked at the top)
Dietitan/nutritionist
Magazine Editor or layout designer
Teacher
Nurse.

Could some one suggest subjects for these job??
at the moment i am think of taking..
Food and nutrition
Science
Art
Then any History or Computers... Not sure. Plus also the core subjects maths english.
thanks!

Answer:
Well, at hand are some real differences between those job. For dietitian or nurse, you will need science (biology contained by particular) and nutrition. For teacher, it depends on what manner of teacher, but you will distinctly need English + History would be worthy. English is necessary for adjectives of those jobs and computers are used within all of them too.

It would be learned to talk to your guidance counsellor. It's their chore to help you engender these decisions. An interest and aptitude audition would be useful, but you can also ask if you can contact society in adjectives of those fields to do information interviews or "errand shadow"

If your school have any type of co-op education program, you can try out one of these job before you grasp too far and decide you don't approaching it.

Good luck
math, english, science, computers, food and nutrition

I chose these because two of your options you will involve health sciences and biology (nurse, dietician)

Computers because everyone wishes this class

Core subjects of course

Best wishes!

What are the things you are looking for a career?

Question:
that you would think will trade name you stay in it for a long time

Answer:
fitting pay
flexible hours
rewarding work
moral benefits
good environment
opportunity to learn and grow
Freedom and honest pay
An flowing going boss and good pay cheque. =)
I'd look for a copmany that rewards individuals based on work ethic not who kisses @ss better. I know you'll never escape organization politics, but it the intensity that is disturbing. I'd to some extent work in a position that semi-inspires me, but values and rewards my rock-hard work than an ideal position where on earth I don't feel valued or spout decent financial compensation.
virtuous health and income benefits
job protection
the pay
Company loyalty to the force, followed by pay, followed by adjectives benefits.

Look at this comparison:

Case 1: A couple is married, he works, she keeps the house (used to be standard America.) After 25 years they divorce because he wishes some young "cheap bimbo" in a minute. So the courts give her 50% of everything because she help him succeed in his chore.

Case 2: A person works at a company for 25 years and is 5 years short of retirement. The company have thousands of employees surrounded by the same situation and so contained by a few years will have a huge over-head within retirement pay. So the company pays bad a couple congressman, gets NAFTA passed and moves the company to Mexico departing the employees down and without retirement (because they didn't finish the full 30 years). Nobody stands up for the worker and everyone say "Mexicans do the jobs Americans won't". The company get new young-looking "labor sluts", but nobody cares that the worker help build the success of the company and get shafted by the republicans and "big business".
One of the things I expect from the company is type of work that I can use with other companies. You may agree on to work at the same place for time. Be prep-aired to move on if you ponder it's better. You would never know.
