Well I guess it really comes down to what nouns of psychology you want to study. If I remember correctly, Industrial/Organizational Psychologists make the most money. When I took this course within graduate school, the money be certainly appealing (six info median in private sector) but didn't find it to be more than ever rewarding.
Now, as for me, I am a school psychologist. You are not going to enjoy freedom at a any job, because you will other have to walk there 8 hours a morning. You can also consider my personal experience. I love music and I play music everyday. However I am not pursuing that as a career. I own my own business and set my own hours. I plan to retire surrounded by a few years and go to college for music because it is something that I delight in doing. I am just not relying on it to product me money. There are things I wanted to near music that I cant get at a commission..i.e. have a studio contained by my house.
