For nearly 4 years I worked as a medical staff secretary in a small community hospital - my instant supervisor was a physical piece of work - especially the extreme mood swings brought on by menopause. End of March - 5 months after giving them my initial notice - I finally stopped taking her call and deleting her voice mail without listen. The woman was toxic to me the entire time I worked within, and I never should have allowed nor agreed to her chitchat me into extending my notice nor working the weekends. She played and continues to play a martyr here and I refuse to do alike. Don't do this to yourself.

Let me tell you to what screwed me - I made the mistake of unfolding her where I be going and who I was going to work for - she said that she would hold our boss call him since they know each other and see if they could hold me there longer and also come surrounded by to train once they found someone else. I was pissed and frustrated and grew to resent that place even more because of her tacts. Please...embezzle my advice and do not pit and do not agree to anything. Hi, I'm in HR but this also happen to me once. What you have to do is stand your ground if you really can't or won't stay longer. Just smile politely when she tell you how she really needs you and read out " I know, but I just can't." Continue to articulate no and that's that.
