From everything I hear, it's not that difficult. There is a great deal work in Edmonton for building upgraders/refineries and for modular work for Ft McMurray. You could move about up to Ft McMurray but I don't think it's crucial. I would suggest just looking within the paper and chitchat to as many society as possible.

That said, agencies are like anything else, some are devout, some are bad and some are downright UGLY.
Here is how you enlighten the difference.
1)If an agency asks you for money, RUN don't walk from it. It is some species of scam, either a ponzi scam or a 'networking' scam. Legitimate agencies bring their fees from the employers not candidate.
2)Ask the person surrounded by the agency how long they have be in the agency. The longer the better. High turnover finances the agency isn't placing many associates or is treating their own people shabbily.
3)An agency to be precise doing well will own 'brag sheets' all over the place boasting something like how many folks they placed. Look for thank-you notes and the similar to.
4)A good agency will try to find a position for YOU. A doomed to failure agency is just looking for reheat bodies.

I'm extremely upset. At work the other day, apparently in that was an elderly couple that come in as Mystery Shoppers. I am topical at my job(restaurant) and I try really hard. I'm other super sweet. I'm still learning the ropes so I don't hold everything completely down pat yet, but I meditate it'll come with more practice. So this weekend, a couple come in and rate me HORRIBLY. It really hurt my feelings. I'm at risk for getting fired in a minute. Some of the bad review be for stuff that wsn't my fault, e.g. the bartender made their drink wrong, & kitchen be slammed.
Also, they were really inhumane. They wrote insulting criticisms such as, "If I hear her say 'awesome!' 1 more time, I'm gonna scream", when I be trying to be perky & friendly like we're supposed to. They also took points away for me apparently looking "faint-hearted and shaky," well excuse me, I be TRYING & maybe I be conscious of the long kitchen wait. By me trying to be authentic nice, they wrote about me as if I be an annoyance.

I completely understand how upset you grain! All I can say is try not to sweat it! There is NO road I can imagine your proprietor firing you for ONE incident. I would simply explain yourself to your DM just as you did here. Let them know how upsetting this is to you and how much you utility your job. Explain the circumstances and consent to them know you are working on improving within all aspects of your opportunity. Are you with Red Lobster, BTW? I worked in that for 6 years so I know how much emphasis they put on their mystery shoppers and your story sounded aware. Hang in in that...try to stay calm within your meeting and basically rationally explain what happen. Of course, your manager should already be aware that you are clean, but, if you are worried, ask if you can meet him before/after shift and settle about this. Try not to get the impression as if you are being ripped apart - and try to realize that near may be things that you can improve on. You *aren't* responsible for things that you can't control, but how you respond when you find out is key. (Can you offer to seize them a different drink? Did you check on them or did you not know the drink was wrong until the rating come in?)
