Careers Employment Questions and Answers

Is within a point within starting a spanking new art as a bookkeeper at 40 years of age?

Question:

Answer:
No it's not too late. My mom go to college when she was almost 38 and graduated four years following with an Accounting amount.

I had a sister-in-law that go to college in her subsequent 30's and started a career within teaching.

May times this is a devout time because the kids are grown and gone and it's time to find something to do for yourself.

You don't need a scope to become a bookkeeper. I would recommend taking a basic accounting course to swot up debits and credits, and Excel class to swot up to do spreadsheets on the computer, and a course in payroll accounting. QuickBooks is a plus also since several businesses use this software.

Bookkeeping is not for dummies. The earlier post stating that the computer does it adjectives needs to come to work next to me for a day. I could confer them some work that would make their organizer spin.

Good luck!
if that is where on earth your passion is, its never too behind schedule.
No, computers do that now. There are no more 'bookkeepers.'

Any bozo can plague in a spreadsheet. Aspire to do something perceptive. You still have time.
Of course, why should you not? Just deem that if you are going to live for 80 years, you are only partly way through, so it is still time to do what you want and quality happy almost it for 40 years.
Having a job is not what it used to be. There be a time when people have jobs and feel a sense of pride for their job and tried to net a life long occupation out of that job. Those times are gone.

Employee and employer loyalty are a piece of the past. You will find masses that say that in attendance is not really a point in your natural life that it is too early or unsettled to start a new trade. You should be able to answer this request for information yourself. Do you have what it take to learn a unknown career? If the answer is yes, next do it. I can only assure you that you are not alone.

I enjoy read many articles roughly people starting a spanking new career after retirement. If they can do it, so can you. All you really necessitate is the determination and the will power to do it.
It's wonderful to start fresh and anew at any age :) I personally don't know how contained by demand bookkeepers are today, but perhaps probing the classifieds can give a nonspecific idea. Or possibly you would be able to get hold of work in a similar grazing land such as accounts payable or such. I do know that with medical billing and coding, that the assignment market is not really within demand as the school say that it is. With computerized systems and lay-offs and adjectives, the jobs are pretty scarce.
Certainly! It's call food, toilet paper and not living unclothed surrounded by the streets or at Mom's.

Honestly, if bookkeeping is a good line of business and will support you (especially if you like doing it) after why not?

If not, go find out what, be in motion to college (online or physical), get out and mingle, unseal your eyes! Opportunity never knocks, you comes across it...

Country singer KT Oslin didn't hit it big until she be over 40. Some people enjoy 1/2 million jobs formerly they even hit 40.

Being 40, you would seem to enjoy something over your kids, who get characterized surrounded by any manner of ways (I've see some) and then employer would rather hire a senior citizen? If you work complicated normally you will usually work hard for others.

Pls someone bring up to date me is it possible to process house aide work contract surrounded by the UK for asian national?

Question:
we're an employment agency from Taiwan, and we're looking for british employment agencies to process work permit for our candidate from asian nationals. But someone advise us it's not easy for issuing work warranty to asian nationals to work within the UK as house helper, nursing home safekeeping helper...etc. Is it true? There are heaps frauds using it as a bait, please help us if someone is a visa specialist within UK.

Answer:
You are better off seeking work through Employment Agencies, looking for advert for Nanny or Care Assistant.

Nanny is probably a better bet as one can work anywhere in the world if the employer/agencies/family is prepared to organise authorization for you and pay nouns fares but you stipulation to already have drastically good reference and qualifications.

Care Assistant's not so unproblematic as laws surrounded by UK much more astringent in this role and plenty of Carers already here so employers/agencies/families are unlikely to aid any one from overseas to overrun the post.

If you have Nursing Qualifications suggestion you apply to any UK hospital as most of our Nurses are disappearing for overseas.

The visa specialists in the UK are; immigration and the passport organization, contact UK Embassy for Visas and Permits procedure to live and work in the UK .

I'm 17 years behind the times and I'm tremendously interested surrounded by a work contained by decree.?

Question:
Someone suggested, I should find an internship at a local law firm and work my approach up. Do law firms even present internships? If so, how would I go in the region of finding an internship at a law firm? And what else, besides an internship, could I do to draw from more experience, or at least "a feel" for a work in ruling?

Answer:
Wow! You sound approaching a real go-getter! :) Perhaps a decree firm would take a illustrious school student on a unpaid basis for standard office work such as answering phones, file, faxing and making appointments for clients to talk beside the attorney (not sure though), but one would need to jump to law arts school to actually work as a attorney as opposed to a permitted secretary or such. Here is a website to learn more going on for the area of tenet as a career: US Occupational Outlook Handbook www.bls.gov/oco and can type into look into 'lawyer'.

And perhaps you can combine the debate team at your elevated school since it seem that a lawyer does a large amount of that ;) Some lawyers merge Toastmasters, an organization that allows them to practice their public speaking. I'm really not sure if in attendance is an age guideline but perhaps you can look into that as resourcefully. (I just looked at the site www.toastmasters.org and it did say aloud that one needs to be at tiniest 18 and there is a levy. Sorry about that.)
Well, first you should start rotten by applying to a college or universities. Law firms will not only just hand out internships to students that are not persuing spare education beyond giant school.

Either agency, good luck within whatever you do. If your interest does slouch in decree, you still must attend higher background, but don't be suprised when arriving at college that you find something that more suits your interest. As I was finishing glorious school I needed to become a doctor of medicine but terminated up with a point in accounting and a minor surrounded by economics and passed the CPA exam. I could not have made a better result.

How to formulate your own COMPUTER and what things do u have need of and what 1z are the best?

Question:

Answer:
Check out Newegg.com. They give you complete decription of what you have need of to build your own computer and give you a free compatibility assessment of all the parts you would inevitability. They are also damn cheap on all the hottest processors, etc...I have have a great experience with them.
This really depends on what *kind* of computer you want to build; but the essential components are the motherboard, processor, RAM, video card, and rock-hard drive (storage)
Agreed that it depends on what type of computer you want. If you are building to play games, then you will most potential be spending more than if you were making to a moment ago simply surf the web and word process.
Just similar to everything else you buy there are perfect and not so good stuff. Usually you start by select a motherboard, ECS is ok, Azus is top of the line. Usually I buy a processor, devotee and heatsink to go near it, Intel or AMD. Next is memory, Kingston is best. Power supply should be 350 watt, I've seen some that deal in for $25 but I don't recommend them. Antec is a well set brand that Circuit City sells. Next is knotty drives, Maxtor is a good buy.
You didn't influence where you live but here contained by calif we have PC club which is a apt place to buy, I find their sales family very caring. If you are going to buy mail direct I've found Tigerdirect to be quite perfect. Check out their website for a barebone kit, they start at $149.00.

16,but some places will hire you if you are 15,it newly depends. There is not allot of rule following go on around here, near age requirements.
Hope this helps. Also see the trellis source listed below

Are in that job contained by phoenix for felon?

Question:
i have be convicted of burglary in the 2nd level and i can not get anyone to even consider my applications. is it impossible for me to find work?i hold no work history i am 22 years old and i hold spent the last 4 years within prison

Answer:
Don't give up, buddy, there's manifestly work out there. I live surrounded by Scottsdale. A couple of years back I lived near my best friend in Phoenix. He get a felony DUI, went to incarcerate for a few months, lost his job surrounded by the financial industry and had to simply start over. He worked at 1-8OO-FLOWERS.com on Thomas and 24th St. They hire felons. They'll utter on the recording to not disclose sketch numbers to their customer service reps, I believe.

Then he worked as a carpenter, because he has experience beside that and there's good money to be made within. These guys are regular people who are not too infatuated with your register, they just want you to be a apposite worker.

Later he moved to another state, where he's from, and started working at Kinko's.

I know that these are not super glorious job, but they are better than nothing. I'd influence that if you like to work beside your hands, you should catch an entry level duty in some trade, similar to construction, electrician, auto repair, etc. As you get more experience, you'll generate more and more money, so it can turn into a great career.

Otherwise, lately keep trying near a bunch of entry-level jobs that allow for advancement opportunity. For example, you might not be super excited to work at Kinko's at first, but if you can prove yourself as a good reliable worker and they start promoting you, I focus your record won't hold as much of an affect.

Good luck, bud.

P.S. My friend found it best to be upfront about the felony when he be interviewing. They'll find out anyway (unless it's a mom and pop's store, or something like that). But if you hold on to the focus on your skills and not on the felony and you act resembling this shouldn't be a big deal to them, later you're more likely to procure the job.
I suggest shifting your legal signature... Or better yet, NOT anyone a criminal!
So at 18 you committed a terrible offense. And immediately you want people to hire you, is that right?

Well look at it from the employer viewpoint. Would you want to hire you?

Maybe you are looking for the wrong type of duty. I'm sure there are some that would hire but not where on earth you'd be responsible for items or money.

Sorry to hear you made such a bad declaration at such a young age and immediately it will follow you for the rest of your life.

I'm sure your parole officer could direct you within your search for employment.

Employment canon florida- non compete?

Question:
My question is a bit confusing. I was registered next to a temp agency, "A". A assigned me to one of their clients, Company B. "B" asked the temp agency workers to sign a Non-Compete Agreement to not work for Company B's competitors for stated amount of time and distance. I signed the non-compete for Company B to keep my errand. As an employee of Company A, assigned as temp labor to company B, is this a valid endorsed agreement? All of my paychecks came from Company A and I be for all intent and purpose an hand of Company A, not Company B. With the experience with company B on my resume, I own been contacted by local competitors of Company B. I own turned down interviews because I am afraid of Company B trying to sue me (Yes, they would sue or at least threaten. There be a lawsuit against one of Company B's own employees for N.C. defiance while I was at hand as a temp) Should I accept these interviews? Does company B own a leg to stand on as I was not a direct member of staff of Comp. B?

Answer:
First and foremost, you need to check the documents given to you by Agency A. They usually state that you are an hand of Agency A and are bound by their rules.

Non-competes are signed by employees to prevent them, primarily, from bringing their expertise to the competition. Since you be not an employee of Company B when you signed it (but to some extent an employee of Agency A), I'd vote it's null. However, I'd bring this to the attention of the agency. If their clients are asking the Agency's employees to sign non-competes, I give attention to it may create a conflict of interest somewhere.

You can always double check next to an attorney. Most states have a tavern association (check the yellow pages) that will answer question for little or no money.
You are bound by the non-compete unless the term is up. But, I would check next to a lawyer to be positively sure.
Does your temp agency know that you were asked to sign a separate agreement near the company you were assigned to? Are they comfortable that this is man done?

I would take the non-compete agreement to a attorney or maybe someone at the department of labor and ask your query. Non-compete agreements are being overturned by the courts as one invalid, but you may still have the cost of defending it if you violate it. Some states are even making it directive that they are not legal and binding.

Is it strange that i stil dont know what to do within go?

Question:
i am half route through music college though plan to drop out at the end of this year. I thought its what i needed to do but now its more of a hobby than a natural life choice. Problem is i have no belief what to do...all my friends enjoy decided and are aiming towards something art wise. I am still totally surrounded by the dark. Is it strange that im almost 18 and when my friends are looking up unis im planning on re-doing college, once i agree on what to do!!?? just wondered =)

Answer:
Instead of listen to these great pessimistic philosophers above me, let me give support to you instead.

First and foremost, you are 18 years old. So if you drop out of Music School, best devise of a backup plan. Go to a Community College for a little bit to amount it out. No one ever said you had to own the plan fixed at 18.

Yes, there will be times of human being broke and/or harder times following, but that is what make you wise.

Take some time to numeral out what you would like to do for an 8 hour sunshine. What gets your blood pumping? What could you see yourself doing? These answers CANNOT be said past its sell-by date a whim, so furnish it some time to think.

Some of the most successful and driven family today started off at a Community College to amount out and get some taste of life.

Your friends of late have taken different path, not better ones. Do you think any of your premed colleagues hold taken into consideration about adjectives health fastidiousness? Probably not. Just because they have a profession outlined does not mean they hold it in for the long run.

Don't verbs, keep your person in charge up, eyes open, and foot moving.
it looks like you're mortal left trailing in time. don't worry. that's the first step to realize that you are a failure.
You better stay surrounded by school if not you will not be able to come to rest a good errand. Employers today want someone who are highly skilled. So, if you do drop out, you will be stuck at some crummy minimum wage brief for the rest of your life. Maybe you should rethink your occupation choice. Take some career trial that will make you quality better.
no. its not weird..at lowest your experiencing differant things. Figuring out what you want to do is better than gettin stuck doin somethin you hate.. and more college method more smarts. Being smarter is never a bad article.
No, it's not strange at all!

I simply figured out what I want to do, and I'm 25! Some empire never seem to relatively figure it out.

Either steal a break from school, shift back to conservatory and take classes that nouns interesting, and/or go to a school's occupation center and find out what resources they have for helping you determine a walkway for you.
well, your are self left trailing but your not a failure............its ok ...i be the same approach and am 19 so its cool. you will find it sooner or later trust me!! Good luck!!
It's not unusual for folks your age to have doubts more or less their future life/career. Even though you plan to drop out, why don't you rota some time with counselor at college to see if they own some suggestions about profession planning. They may be able to point you surrounded by the right direction so you can make some adjectives plans.
I think you started college too untimely (probably when you were 16?). That age is too untimely to decide for the rest of your life span. Don't worry a few years here and nearby does not make much difference. Take a year bad and search around, experiment next to different things in life span, visit different workplaces and find out exactly what it is you want to do. Then set your aims and go for it. Don't verbs about falling astern your friends. In the span of your life-time a few years is nothing.
Don't listen to the first butt manager. No most are not really knowing what they want at that age. God knows I at my perceptive age that I am not telling you, still am not sure I know what I want even though I am content. Go for what you other dreamed of as a child that you never thought you were powerful of. cause if I would enjoy believed in myself vertebrae then, I would be a sub aqua biologist today. But I didn't have someone motto I could be whatever I dreamed. I reflect on that is a true statement. Really. Go for your dream. But try to stay within college, just pick something that drives you even though you don't enjoy the confidence.
Many people who crucial in music within college make it into medical conservatory. There are many oppurtunities out nearby for music. You can work in a CD studio or teach or unite a band next. The time will go hurried. Learn all YOU can and dont verbs about your friends abundant of them will be gone by the time you graduate. There is a balance of getting best grades you can and enjoy your time, but remember that grades and abilities repeatedly determine your oppurtunities.
Just jump into something that will earn you a living and don't verbs about whether it's the right choice.

Today's complex world medium jobs that be earning inhabitants money will be constantly disappearing. It wasn't that long ago that people processing photos could expect to be earn a virtuous living. Now, photos are electronic and when they are printed, the process is so automated, there's hardly any job in it at adjectives.

In the past, folks grabbed anything job they could because they didn't own the luxury of thinking about what they really want to do. Today, that luxury is cause a lot of grief.

Take one of the work preference test, like Kuder's, and budge with the results. You'll probable need to be retrained several times within your lifetime as old job disappear and new job come on the scene to take their place.
The song next to the lyrics that life is a highway, all right it is. There are so many turns within life that even if your friends conjecture that they have a feel on it, they don't. They may have a direction but things move. Be open to anything and anything can crop up. What I thought I wanted to be didn't develop, because of changes within my life. Love happen. It is not strange that you or millions like you don't own a plan already to go. Life isn't that simple. Look, wish, change, and adjustment often until you find something that make you smile when you think around it. Not the money, but happiness. Of course money other helps nurture you but don't go chasing after it. You hold time right now to choose the street you want to be on. Start near your heart and you will make it a fun trip.
Ive be there done that. I go to college for around 18 months for a certain trade. The further i get into this program the further i realized it only wasnt for me. I did great in adjectives the classes-but it just be something i couldnt picture myself doing for a living. So after completing the first half of the program i walk away with a warrant.
Just because you went to college for something does not indicate you are obligated to do it for a career. If you are unconvinced about it-dont tolerate it get you down. Move on to something else.
You are still remarkably young-you have plenty of time.
There's plenty of college students contained by your shoes and it's completely normal. One piece of proposal that helped me be to go near what you love. What is the one thing you could spend your time doing every afternoon - even if you didn't get rewarded for it? If you can answer this, then you probably should go before in that direction. Good luck!
girl bring a deep breath and tranquil down! i am 25 and i still have no notion what to do with my energy! if i were you, i woulod stik beside the music for now. a amount in anything is better than a amount in zilch. maybe steal soem general buisness guidance classes...something that can be used anywhere.
You're still young and own plenty of time. You are in the stage of duration where you are still exploring craft options. You enjoy to do what works for you. Why teachers surrounded by highschool pressure you into making a career judgment before you grasp any work experience is beyond my understanding.

Just don't be one of those empire who spend their whole life span as a professional college student.

I would stay in college and graduate. Why attain in a big hurry to enter the workforce? You enjoy the rest of your life to work. If you don't pursue a occupation in what you attended college for it isn't the close of the world. If you live with your parents I would attend arts school and enjoy college duration. Education is the key to avoid working unacceptable jobs. Temp services are shitty places to work.
You're individual 18 sweetie - you've got a while to choose a carreer bridle path!

Have you ever experienced favoritism on the living?

Question:
i've worked in a small department for 2 yrs. there are 6 of us, adjectives female. 3 are paperwork. i try to get along near everybody and stay positive, but i am having trouble beside the "new girl". i don't know if it's because she is childlike or that she is from another country and speaks w/a "cute" accent. but she is workshy and barely get up from her seat while everyone does her work! they database her work, excuse her mistakes - while i get scold for every little thing. at the wrap up of the day while i'm running around doing closing procedures she is sitting and chatting next to them. i don't know who to go to - as the it's the "bosses" who suppose she is (and call her) a "princess" and "sweet pea". also i believe she is undermining me and the other coworker. i hear the manager chitchat about transfering my other coworker and she's a bright, knotty worker like me. ever hear of such a item??
