Airline attendants DO breed good money. As of 7 years ago one of my co-workers worked leisure as an attendant and made $25 an hour. She only worked leisure because she was going to college.
I wouldn't move about for a flight attendant because, yes, they may make $25 an hour, but most of the airlines with the sole purpose guarantee you 40-80 flight hours a month, or roughly $1000-2000 before taxes. If that's adjectives the money you want or need, more power to you.
If you really want to travel, work on a cruise ship. But with the sole purpose do that if you can make a time commitment to stay on like peas in a pod cruise ship for at least 3-6 months straight.
