As an HR boss, I can assure you than it does influence an employer GREATLY. Don't do it. Don't even mention that you have children. Employers directly think you will enjoy a lot of absenteeism. It may not be neutral, but it's the truth.
It's hard, because babies are usually complicated to keep stifled, and need most of your attention. I would suggest you to find a friend that can any come with you to the interview and stay outside near baby, or perchance even taking the baby sitter next to you and have her keep on outside with the infant. This really all depends on where on earth you are working. I would check out www.salary.com and find out what starting money is for your area. The Big 4 tend to pay cheque a bit below average, but the experience is worth it.
When I first started I didn't go to a Big 4, I go straight to corporate accounting and got similar to $42.5 my first year. This was several years ago and I am sure it have increased a little.
