I only get my once a year evaluation at work?

Question:
I was told that I be doing a good mission, no major issues to work on, and that I am a valued hand. My raise come to roughly $6/paycheque. Do I have the right to be insulted? (I sure perceive insulted) I have be with this company for 11 years... you'd consider they would value me more than that.

Answers:
You could try negotiate for a better increase, or if you can't bring yourself to face whoever you'd call for to approach, move to another company. My experience of dealing with relatives in greater management is that they are solely concerned with their own reimburse checks, and you may feel more insulted by this attitude, - a moment ago a warning. My own solution would be to acquire out.
No, you have grounds to be upset. I was rather insulted too that they only give you roughyl $6.00 a paycheck. I recommend that you ask your manager politely, near the same reasoning you give us (dedicated + 11 years of hard work), for a lift. Remember though, ask, not demand.

Edit:

I also answered your sound out about the Compaq PC monitor problem. Hope it worked.

What employment opportunites are nearby for a British 16 year aged surrounded by the United States?

Question:
I am 16 years old and i plan to move to the USA to live and work. I currently live within the UK and have only finished school near 11 GCSE's A*-C. What job opportunity would there be for me? And what job would you suggest?

Answers:
well can you read aloud "would you like fries next to that in a broad Texan elocution
dont do it, go to australia or investigational zealand.. stay in the commonwealth and wallow in its benefits..

in the us youll a short time ago get ostracised... and exploited
Have you be accepted to walk and live in america, I looked into doing it years ago and it be impossible then, it'll be worse in a minute. You have to hold a definite available job lined up and sponsors and a place to live, and you can still own all that sorted, but they can still turn you down at the closing minute.
Good luck
In the US, most 16 year olds still have nearly 2 years left on their teaching (before going to college)

And US law unsophisticatedly says that someone beneath 18 has equal legal rights as an infant (i.e., none, in need parental consent)
The US has so heaps Mexicans taking the unskilled jobs, oodles of them illegals, that it is hard for anyone to come contained by legally and work unless they own a degree or marketable skill. As a 16 yr frail you would be competing with American teens for burger flipping job. Go to a technical university and learn a skill or bring back a degree from a university, consequently come and try to line up a livelihood and become a legal immigrant. I own heard that Canada and Australia/New Zealand are also difficult just about immigrants.

At 16 you really don't know what craft you want. I could say be a mutual funds broker, a picture framer, kernel planter, stock clerk/sweeper, insurance salesman, retail sales/manager, insurance inspector,/auditor, newspaperman, court reporter or school trainer, all of which I enjoy done and the thought of which never crossed my mind at 16. Some jobs be taken because I needed an income, some because I was interested contained by them. It is better to do something you are interested in, so do anything until you find that interest. Then become correct at it and then reflect on of coming to the US. It may be easier to try Canada first, then pop in the US a few times. Canada is very resembling the US, but more like England surrounded by some ways. If the Democrats have their road the US will be more like England than Canada is.

Well sadly the biggest employer for immature people is nifty food joints. I myself would disgust to work there. I would look around at local gas stations that might want a stocker. If you are looking for a summer charge, apply to work for your town's rec department. at 15 you are technically old ample to lifeguard if that is something you want to do. Just ask around, step to the mall and ask at places that hold help needed signs
Last year I worked at a pool as a lifeguard and I was 15. Most pools will hire a responsible 15 year weak if he looks like he's serious something like the job. The problem is getting Lifeguard certified because the primary company for this is the YMCA and you have to be 16 at the time of the class. If you can find a local arts school or other private lifeguard certification consequently it should be easy to bring a job.

Clothes At A Job Interview?

Question:
I'm 16, and it's for a job at Movies 400.

I'm planning on wearing the top here: http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p14/l... and a couple of dark, well-fitting jeans that I've worn to church and nice resturants beforehand.
...Would that be okay to wear? I have a couple of nicer pants, but they're ridiulously big on the bottom.
Please serve!

Answers:
You need to dress up for a position interview, regardless of where you are interviewing. Jeans and that top are not what you should wear to an interview.
I would not hire anyone who come in that outfit, I would probably notify them to come back when they are dressed appropriately.
Yes. Looks apposite.
Maybe you should pair that top next to a pair of black slacks or black pant instead. Or maybe some black jeans?
If you be older and going for a more professional career, I would say no jeans, but for a charge at the movies, I think to be exact a nice outfit.
NO JEANS!

Do employment agencies really work? What exactly do they do?

And yes, I've applied at fast food places.

Answers:
Employment agencies interview you close to any company would and find out more information about your milieu and what type of work you are looking for. If you never worked in an organization before, next chances are they won't convey you on anything. You have to own at least a year of work experience & lost your charge before they can facilitate you find work. So, it depends on your background. Good luck.
They can be immensely helpful. A moral one starts by reviewing your resume and making suggestions on it. Then they match up charge openings that they hold listed near possible candidates for the living, and arrange interviews.

If you can't get an interview at a speedy food place, you might take a sturdy look at how you're presenting yourself and try to figure out why.
Also, try temp work. immediate work for you & minimal commitment from the employer... some will work out to full time... but don't make that a criteria for in a minute... just obtain a job, after the temp agency will place you with other job if you do okay.

good luck.
It really depends. Some try and trade you that they're the only firm near access to the "inside" jobs that never flaunt outside. Once they have you, the'll try and steer you to a huge excise for their services ( resume prep etc). Keep at it...good luck!
Yes, employment agencies work and so do temp agencies. Make sure you do not sign beside one that wants you to wages money. They should be getting money from the employer. Also, don't sign with one that claims you cannot aim employment on your own for a specified period of time.

Employment agencies are other looking for new talent and they achieve paid really well by the employer. Often 20 to 30% of annual wages.

Answers:
You probably need a special work security. I think you can bring one from your guidance counselor at school, or basically have your parents sign something. Sorry I can't pass specifics, but it should be possible, just ask. Ask your parents or guardians for support. The pay purely depends on how much the company is willing to reimburse. The minimum would be the minimum wage.

Here is a short enumerate of summer jobs which you can create to generate income:

1. Learn calligraphy so that you can provide handwritten invitations and thank you proceedings to prospective wedding party, birthday celebrations, etc. Seek out clients through wedding planners at close by churches and temples. A starter calligraphy gear usually runs around $20 and anyone can easily pick up this skill. The going rate is usually $1 per appendage addressed item.

2. Become a "poser" who assists nuptials photographers in setting and arranging diverse individuals in group and single photographic positions. "Posers" convey around a sketch book of various sitting and standing poses which consists of onion skin overlays of different wedding pictures bound contained by albums. Again, contact local wedding photographers and nuptials planners, accordingly. The hourly compensate is around $10-$12 per hour and you are often invited to attend adjectives dining activities.

3. Seek from your neighbors a gardner position which involves planting, weed removal, plant/tree trimming, neutral brush clearance. You will be using the neighbor's equipment and tools. Again, do not represent yourself as a lawn mower since within are any number of safety issues involved. A door-to-door solicitation of surrounding neighbors is required and you can charge between $6 to $9 per hour.

4. Offer policing/removal or clearance of trash services to surrounding neighbors which involve trash pickup in nearby residential nouns. Limit the extent of pickup to small areas and be aware that there are no hazardous terrain or elements involved within this process. Again, a door-to-door solicitation of neighbors is in instruct. You can charge between $6.75 to $7.50 per hour.

5. Acquire a set of window cleaning tools [a bucket, solution window cleaner, sponge, squeegee, feel with an extension and a small step ladder] and solicit local businesses for your skylight cleaning services. However, be careful to boundary the height of the windowpane cleaning to no higher than one story. Charge $1 per skylight panel.

6. Become a proxy/stand-in for neighbors to allow delivery of merchandise and packages to your home/apartment. Acquire the authority to sign any receipt of incoming packages as an accepting neighbor. Charge $1 per respectively package handle by you.

7. Consider becoming a restaurant-cafe customer liaison by using your cell phone at restaurants-cafes to coordinate with the hostess to hold on to track of waiting customers. Whenever there's a very long term of time to activate a waiting chronicle, you want to offer the restaurant your services so that customers do not enjoy to stand around for any lengthy spell of time. And when their name/assigned number comes up; you can call the upcoming customer's cell phone to speak about them that they can return to the restaurant and be served. The call hindmost fee is usually around $0.50 cents on a per herald basis. For example, a couple would be charged $1.00 while children underneath 6 would not be charged. Placement of a plaque which outlines your fee diary near the hostess station is sufficient to collect attention of prospective customers who will value your services since they can do other endeavours outside of the restaurant -- often beyond the scope of any inhouse paging system. You realize that everyone have a cellphone and why not take pre-eminence of the connectivity to make the diner's experience worthwhile. The restaurant will also appreciate the added service you are providing as a customer liaison.

8. Why not become a rewarded feeder servicing the disabled at nearby nursing, convalescent, assisted living/care centers and hospitals. It involves feed food to patients who are unable to nurture themselves. The starting rate is $8.00 per hour. The only downside is that one have to take precautions to wipe up one's hands after respectively feeding. A posting of your services [by a business card or flyer] on a reviewable bulletin board would be adequate to generate customers. The paid feeder position is one of the fastest growing occupation at this time.

Good luck!
