I'm an LPN but currently enrol in an LPN-RN bridge program. I definitely love my job. I love helping population and it's very rewarding. Now, nursing isn't adjectives sugar canes and gum drops. You will be doing A LOT of dirty work. Getting snotty attitudes from doctors. Lots of broadsheet work. You will be, and I repeat, you will be burnt out. It's only how you handle it.
pros: rewarding. paycheck isn't too shabby. great benefits. engineer new friends. everyday is different. There is other an opportunity to advance your point (hospitals will pay for it) and bring a better position with excellent, EXCELLENT, retribution. You have to receive into the fied with the mindset that you don't strictness about the pay packet. Most nursing students ONLY think of the compensate and that's why they leave the enclosed space because they aren't willing to procure down and dirty for the money.
cons: patients may die. your license is fragile; it can be taken away from you if you do anything wrong. Most hospitals will require 12 hour shifts especially for new nurses. Families hold you responsible for anything gone wrong and praises the doctors for the work you've done. You will be burn out. You may enjoy to take keeping of a lot of patients by yourself. A lot of nurses, since they are adjectives out, can be really nasty. Seriously, I'm basically waiting for the day when a grating creates a show about adjectives the dang drama that goes on between the nurses.
All and adjectives, I definitely recommend volunteering at a hospital or becoming a CNA. Maybe you can procure your LPN first and work, and gain experience, while you go for your RN (it will be like amount of time).
