I be once told "you won't get rich within pharmaceutical sales, but you'll be comfortable". This is true. The livelihood is still a good one, even near the headaches of manage care, frustrated doctors trying to be business owners, pressured manager, etc. But the fun part is interacting next to the offices, truly getting to serve patients (indirectly) and the social aspect. I think consulting absolutely offers more financial incentive (over time) and most promising more pressure, stress, etc. I love the fact that I'm vitally independent - I see my manager once a month. I run my nouns like it's my business when it comes to budgets, speakers, which doctors to spend more time beside. The people I've set that were within consulting spent extremely long hours in different parts of the country on projects that last 6-12 months. If you have the flexibility that this involves, afterwards it's probably better to start with consulting and enjoy pharma as a fallback. I believe it's harder to get into consulting after pharma than the other process around...
Depends with whom you're employed w/ consulting... a relative of mine worked for Anderson consulting contained by Texas and is now a partner making close to 300-400k/year; you will NOT brand that in pharma sale. If you're yound and ambitious, I'd stay in consulting (provided you're beside a reputable company); you'll be intellectually & socially challenged probably day-in and day-out; you'll be a true "professional." Pharma sale is okay for young tots... not too unpromising for the older folks who've be in it 20+ years (because they hold retirement benefits on the line); you stand to earn 45-55 right off the bat, excluding bonuses (which average 10-15k/year), not to mention car/gas/repairs are covered.
As far as advance yourself professionally, you can do it in pharma sale, but I'd recommend the other option. You'll be a rep for several years, prove you can market your drugs to doctors (based on bazaar share), then you'll put within to be a district manager... do this for 4-5 years, next put in for a regional director (they pull surrounded by around 160-180/year, excluding bonuses). Some years are good, others are not so dutiful; you always own your base stipend but bonuses can be low;

Why do adjectives employment applications presently ask your sex (M or F) and see?

Isn't that profiling? How do I know they are not discriminating against me depending on my answers?
Answers:
Because they are discriminating. Certain companies have to hire sure people to breed it look good. Alot of times they might hire a few different race just so that they do not draw from sued for discriminating. In the mean time they do not even qualify for the errand. I tried applying at Walmart several times but appparently they only hire rude race. Have you ever noticed how negative people are here?
Job applications ask whether you're M or F, race, veterans because they enjoy to report this to the government. The govt wishes to make sure that employer aren't discriminating against a certain age, sex or disability because they did that beforehand.
If you don't feel comfortable answering the question, they always own an option to not answer "n/a" or "do not yearning to furnish"
The employers are in a minute required to submit numbers/data about mixed things. The easiest way for the employer to gather this facts for the required reports is to include those questions on their undertaking applications.
