Married near a 4 month old-fashioned child, both me and hubby are 35yrs. antiquated, best insurance for us?

Question:
I work as a RN, hubby works as dietary aide.

Answers:
No one can answer that question here in need more information. It depends, among other things, upon what state you're in, if you hold any pre-existing conditions, what deductible you are comfortable with and what you want the policy to do for you. Each state have different laws so a Blue Cross policy within my state may be completely different from a Blue Cross policy in your state.

You can seize a lot of information if you call in a local independent agent. This person know the market contained by your area and can find the best policy for you. They don't charge any extra for the service and they concord with most of the insurance companies that will be available to you.

A friend of mine just get her certificate and have a full time position that is 4 days a week. Medical Coding vs. Medical Transcription?

Question:
I just enrol in the college Career Step to train for a career within Medical Transcription, which I have done plentifully of research on. I went to the dr's organization today and his secretary was recounting me how I should really train for a Coding career, you can generate really good money, etc. and she also said that due to voice appreciation software she thinks transcription is "on the road out." I am in obligation of a job I can do from home and from what I twig coding isn't done at home nearly as much as transcription is. I still have time to switch my course if I want, and transcription sounds great to me, but I am doubting myself in a minute and just considered necessary the advive of anyone in these field. Thank you in mortgage!

Answers:
Hello!
I don't know much about coding, but. I would recommend doing what 'you' will delight in! The threat of Voice Recognition technology overtaking the field of Medical Transcription have been around for years very soon. Yet, there is still a ample need for qualified MTs. I've see what VR can do, and I am not worried. There will always be that entail for a human editor.

As for outsourcing. You'll find this in freshly about any pasture. Companies/professionals looking to cut costs by sending work overseas. However, there are oodles MT employers who are against outsourcing. They promise to hire merely American MTs. Also, when reports are sent overseas, you risk receiving a report of poor standard. Even through RunEye.com, you will find questions from MTs overseas, asking how to find work from America. Their sentence structure, spelling, and sentence structure practices are horrendous. Several employers are setting up to bring their work back to the US. You'll find this near other fields, as capably. Such as those companies whose customer service is based overseas. The english is merely not comparable.

As for the pp stating that 98% of doctors want you to have a years experience. Most doctors/companies in fact require a couple of years experience. HOWEVER, most will waive this requirement if you attend an 'approved' program. Career Step is a GREAT choice! I received a job tender less than a week after graduate, and a few more since then. I LOVE my brief.

Also, this is from the Bureau of Labor Statistics:

Medical transcriptionists held about 105,000 job in 2004. About 4 out of 10 worked contained by hospitals and another 3 out of 10 worked in office of physicians. Others worked for business support services; medical and diagnostic laboratories; outpatient care centers; and office of physical, occupational and speech therapist, and audiologists.

Job opportunities will be suitable. Employment of medical transcriptionists is projected to grow faster than average for all occupation through 2014. Demand for medical transcription services will be spurred by a growing and aging population. Older age groups receive proportionately greater numbers of medical tests, treatments, and procedures that require documentation. A glorious level of emergency for transcription services also will be sustained by the continued need for electronic documentation that can smoothly be shared among providers, third-party payers, regulators, consumers, and health information systems. Growing numbers of medical transcriptionists will be needed to amend patients’ files, edit documents from speech appreciation systems, and identify discrepancies in medical reports.

Medical transcriptionists have median hourly earnings of $13.64 contained by May 2004. The middle 50 percent earned between $11.50 and $16.32. The lowest 10 percent earn less than $9.67, and the superlative 10 percent earned more than $19.11. Median hourly yield in the industries employ the largest numbers of medical transcriptionists in May 2004 be:

General medical and surgical hospitals $13.83
Offices of physicians 13.40
Business support services 13.40

Compensation methods for medical transcriptionists vary. Some are rewarded based on the number of hours they work or on the number of lines they transcribe. Others receive a bed pay per hour near incentives for extra production. Employees of transcription services and independent contractors almost always receive production-based rate. Independent contractors earn more than do transcriptionists who work for others, but independent contractors have superior expenses than their corporate counterparts, receive no benefits, and may face high risk of termination than do employed transcriptionists.
My advice if you can through in Med coding beside a minor in transcript after that's what I would do. My classes I took years ago included both. Med Coders do make angelic money but the jobs are sturdy to come by (depending on what area you are in) But have a minor in transcript make you asset due to the advanced typing training. Just my opinion.
I go through this same thought pattern. I needed to work from home as a medical transcriptionist. I took the online courses and passed and was prepared to start working at home merely to find out 98% of doctors who will hire you want you to have at LEAST 1 year hospital or in-house clinical training. I will hold to say that working surrounded by an office as a clean transcriptionist was great because for the doctors who similar to to eat, use the restroom, converse to others, not speak clearly, cut themselves off (yes doctors do adjectives this and more while dictating) it's nice to have others who are experienced around to comfort you sort out exactly what is being said.
As for the voice admission, it is not replacing transcription. What is replacing us are physicians sending their transcription nightly to India (you will be surprised just how oodles doctors are doing this). The 2 reasons they are doing this is cost, they remuneration them 3 cents a line or roughly 20 dollars a light of day and here in the states they retribution an average of 11-13 cents a line or roughly 100 dollars a year. The other reason is the time difference. Physicians see patient's here during the light of day, in India it is nighttime and at darkness they send out their work to India, which is very soon daytime and when the physician gets to work the subsequent day, their transcription is all set. We are generally 24-48 hour turnaround.

Billing and coding is the track to go. Trust that.
For Coding, the amazingly minimum most Hospitals will accept is an RHIT near the Associate's degree. It is a fundamentally complicated job and extremely difficult to get hired near no experience. The pay is much better than a Transcriptionist, however. Your work as a coder will be audited by the command regularly for fraud. Your coding claims will be audited regularly by your employers and Insurance companies. It is a great post, with alot of responsibility. Also, you will find paid more as an inpatient coder vs an outpatient coder, more than imagined unless you are in 'a coalition shop'.

This year HUGE changes are coming within the Inpatient arena with MS-Drgs adjectives of the current DRG system. It is unlikely that your college will be able to school you in this untried system. Thus, your $$ may not be wisely spent AT THIS TIME within coding. Also, Jan 1 there are tentative POA guidelines that may not be fully understood by the college that you are attending. THESE CHANGES ARE HUGE! Coding will be surrounded by spotlight for sometime because of this.

Transcription is difficult too, there are productivity standards and exactness standards. You will have to listen particularly to very poorly dictated reports. Your work will be lower than no government or Insurance scrutiny though. But everyone requests their reports done 5 mins ago (including the coders!)

As a new hand in any field, your money will be commensurate with experience. ie: Bottom of the payscale.

These career are no careers for slackers. You call for a good work ethic, an attention to detail and an qualifications to keep educating yourself.

btw~ The licensure for your RHIT is $150 per year. It is a job, not 'pin money'. You may have to discharge for all or some of your continuing lessons.

I cannot stress enough, if you are looking for an effortless job, hang on to looking!!
Hi, I use to do medical coding and it is a difficult profession. Most hospitals and outsourcing companies want experience...NO exceptions. It took me a year to get a assignment after I graduated a medical coding program and get credentials (CCS). The place I interned at would not let me do any legitimate coding, only look over previously coded charts, and would not hire me because of no experience.

I found coding drastically difficult and stressful. One really has to know so much just about disease and surgeries, surgical techniques, etc. For example, have to read coronary bypass surgeries and count how many arteries be bypassed, were autogenous saphenous vein used or mammary artery or thoracic artery, was extracorporeal circulation used (heart lung machine)? Was within prolonged mechanical freshening after the procedure? Not to mention after training you are expected to meet day after day production standards.

Far fewer workat home opportunity for medical coders, and they probably all want experience.

Good luck
I agree near Lynn. I am a coder and I work from home. The pay is great but it took me 7 years to receive here. I had to work contained by hospitals to get experience and took a indiscriminate with a contract agency. I'm terrifically happy immediately but there be a lot of complex work to be able to work from home. It is a extraordinarily coveted position and you must prove your skills. I'm not sure about transcription but I know that experience is switch in both career. Whatever you choose, just work strong and be patient and it will salary off.

How can i quit my errand next to class? i am going to hurt the employer's mental state and he really wants me.?

Question:
today i am going to put my two week notice surrounded by and i'm scared. he is going to be surrounded by trouble without me. i get the impression like im screw him but i found a WAY better job.

Answers:
You hold to look out for number one---YOU. Everyone's looking out for number one. By keeping a good hand like you, your boss is looking out for the best interest of his company. When his business is run efficiently, his income increases and his business flourishes. You boss have looked for #1--himself.. So, tell me--what's wrong near wanting to increase your income? Your boss should find this perfectly intelligible. If not, he'll get over it. (He's not here with no choice).

You're not "burning bridges by quitting spontaneously, you're giving him an sanctioned 2 weeks notice. Simply put--it's time to pause this chapter of your life. It's time to verbs.

Good luck on your newly found opening!!
screw it. move on to another charge and let him hold care of the rest.
You gotta look out for you, first and foremost. Quitting may be sturdy but if it's the best thing for you, do it knowing you are looking out for your own best interest.
Tell him that you're moving somewhere far away, and to verbs going to work would be a huge hassle. Give your employer a thank you card...if they ever see you in the nouns, say your visit relatives. But technically, you can never go spinal column.
You do not want to burn any bridges by leaving brusquely. By giving your 2 weeks, your employer has ample time to find a replacement for you. You shouldn't touch scared but fell distressed b/c you don't know how your employer is going to react. During the consultation, if your employer needs you, they can at that point bequeath a counteroffer that could entice you to stay.
Bottom line is, you enjoy to do what is best for you.
In the past it use to settle to be a loyal worker. The companies respected you and rewarded you with bonuses, retirement plans and the approaching. In today's market companies don't hand over a rats *** about the single hand, it's all give or take a few the bottom line. Sooooooo, You enjoy to look out for yourself, this is business not personal. If the shoe were on the other foot believe me when I enlighten you that they would not hesitate one minute for the opportunity to better themselves. So move about 4 it.
just describe him/her the truth...he/she will understand that if nearby is a better offer out here for you...then you should pilfer it. say you are "sorry if thisputs you into any impossible position, but I need to clutch this other job...it's the best entity for me to do." He/She will prob. understand...as an employer, they are used to have people quit. Trust me.I'm sure you're not the first key person at that business that quit.
You are entitled to credit yourself in such a trend, and your boss should understand that, even if he requests you desperately.

Sit down with him and explain courteously and professionally why you are departing. Be sure to thank your boss for your years of good experience next to him and for all you enjoy learned below his tutelage (even if you've learned zilch from him). An offer of singing assistance for problems he might encounter when you leave is not a doomed to failure thing any, assuming he understands that you cannot be call at your new place of work, infringing on THEIR time.
your boss wouldn't imagine twice about tossing you to the wolves if it intended him gettin better profits. I'm sure he relies on you! You are obviously underpaid. You shouldn't grain bad, if your boss get into trouble becaquse you left than its his slate!
Adequate is something, not to many culture bother with anymore. Obviously this is someone whom you respect. The best course to handle this is to estimate of him as a friend and be straight forward and honest. He should appreciate the advanced notice and become conscious that you have to do what is best for you. You'll find that most employer are like this. How do you suggest they got where on earth they are. Surely not by letting opportunities fly out the skylight.
If you don't feel delighted doing this, don't do.
Honesty is the best policy, just sit down and discuss with your present employer, explain to him why your leaveing and be initiate to any offers he might enjoy, he may suprise you.

How Much Should I ask for?

Question:
I am going to work at this nursing home entering bills into a computer, do some shreding - maybe within the basement, and mop the floors. i get 6.50 last yearv b/c that is to say what i asked for and i only turned 16, the court age to work. This year I want to ask for 8.50 is that too high, or should I shift with 7.75 or 7.50? thanx

Answers:
He who mentions a number first loses! Research the issue, find out the average wage contained by your state for this work (go to your state's labor Department web site). If they ask "How much be you looking for?" I would reply "I am a hard worker near an established work record. I believe I enjoy earned a wage somewhat highly developed than the entry level clear."

If they say "We typically start people at $7.50 and hour." Reply near the same statement above but append I think $7.75 would be a generous starting wage."

He who says a number first loses!
I suppose that sounds reasonable.
It might be worth seeing if the company proposition you a set wage first. Then, if it's too low, you can negotiate a better offer.

For more guidance on salary negotiation, see http://www.thecvstore.net/salarynegotiat...
Always better to ask big. If they cant do it then they will speak about you. Worst they can do is tell you no to the 8.50 and create a counter offer.
Always ask for more than you really want. Why not ask for $9? They may come vertebrae with a counter hold out for $8. Just let them know you're looking for $9 and notify them that you're flexible. If they like you, they will submit you the job at anything they want to pay. Good luck!
If this is equal place you worked for last year for $6.50, asking $8.50 this year might be a moment or two high unless your state have a minimum wage that's over $7 or so.

Can anyone bestow me some more information just about medical transcription.?

Question:
I'm thinking of becoming a transcriptionist and wanted to know some more information almost. For example, the process of becoming one, equipment needed, etc.

Answers:
Most employers require experience or association in one of the top AAMT approved school. If your looking into Medical Transcription pay the extra within tuition to attend an 'approved' school. Many culture have received training through in short supply programs only to find out that they are powerless to find a job. Check out: http://www.mteducationonline.c... It is an affiliate site for Career Step. I attended Career Step and recieved a profession (at-home) less than a week after graduate. Career Step is an AAMT (American Association for Medical Transcription) approved program and they are partnered with lots of the major MT employer. In other words, their graduates return with the jobs. Many companies require 2-3 years experience, however, a great deal of these companies will waive this requirement if you graduate from the right school.
Attending your local community college will make available you a good fortune at a job in-house, but if you are wanting to work from home, an online 'approved' course is the opening to go.
They do proposal financial aid and payment plans. :)

The course is self-paced. Some hold completed it in a couple of months, others own taken a couple of years. It all depends on how much time you put into it.

Equipment needed will determine on your employer/clients. Some will provide the equipment/software free of charge or for a significant discount. Others may require specific software or equipment, so it may be best to hang around and ask your employer/client.

In response to a previous post: Half the work I do is editing reports done by Voice Recognition. I am not worried about VR taking over my living. I have see what it can do and I am not impressed. I had a doctor state that the manly patient have a hysterectomy (should be vasectomy). A computer can not catch that mistake. If that report would enjoy been gone that way, tremendously likely it would not hold held up in a lawsuit. There are lots accounts that are using VR work, but they are finding that they still need someone to expurgate this work.

I love my job. I love that I am research something new everyday. If it's something you want to do, afterwards go for it. :)

Good luck!
economically do you want to do it from home or work on site? if you want to work on site you don't need any equiptment.

Im going to be completely honest right in a minute, I have already lost 2 job to voice recognition...it is fast spreading. I'm not saying that it's impossible to go and get a job but I simply don't think it's worth it. I'm a transcriptionist very soon and I hate it, my wages isn't that great and there is no room for growth contained by this position. I recently started going to academy for court reporting. It is similar in a road but the pay is extremely highly developed. You should look into it.
Heaps of information starting from this page and then follow links to medical transcription specific information and equipment needed, etc.

YES! There are legit work at home options…….I looked for 2 years before I found a flawless one! Learn from my experiences….lol

I’m a stay at home mom of two little girls under the age of 2. I work something like 15 hours per week for a National Medical Benefits Company. I have be with the company for lone 2 months and am making $200 a week. Next month I will be making $300 a week. Also if I continue on as I am going at the failure of the year I will be making $5000 a month. My friend Becky started 2 years before me. She is presently making $90,000 a year.

The best part is they own 401(k), direct deposit and a benefits package. In decoration, there are no products, no selling, no cold calling and no telemarketing!

I definitely love working with them and I can't believe I am making what I am making and surrounded by so few hours per week. The neat point is there are other individuals on your team that you work near so you are never alone. The support is great but I have made wonderful friends as in good health. I think that’s earth-shattering too!

I was upset at first because I know a lot of companies are not legit but this company is the number one National Medical Benefits Company contained by the US. They are a member of the Chamber of Commerce. Also they be featured contained by “The New York Times”, “Wall Street Journal” and the “American Medical Review”. Even “60 Minutes” did a big special on them!

So I felt nontoxic with them, that and my friend be already making so much money with them. Check them out! Just type contained by www.workathomeplus.net contained by your web browser.

Hello!

That depends........ if the orders are from your direct superior/supervisor/ Boss Follow it Blindly, If you own second thoughts seek their Opinion.

If its from someone else from other troop or department report to your Boss and seek his Opinion.
Cheers
Naw - why would you want to finance your career by doing what you be hired for?
There is a degree of crap that have to be taken, well not have to be but should be taken in direct to advance within your career, but here is a fine line between unusual "orders" regarding the situation and "orders" that cross the line. That smudge is determined by you. When the orders become something more to you individually , that's when its not worth it .

Is this considered post hopping?

Question:
i stayed in my first two job 1 year each. consequently i worked at the same place for 7 years. my opening after that lasted 1 year and i changed job again. i have be at my current job for a year and considering in the region of changing job again. is this considered as job hopping? does it look fruitless on resume?

Answers:
Not too bad companion People talk of staying contained by Job for months but make sure 7 year itch sounds better
so try to choose a duty where you can work for longer than one year
You own more than 10 years experience and now the stability counts
But you are not a livelihood hopper if we specifically look at that 7 year stint and don't forget to eulogize and capitalize on 7 year job
Good Luck & Cheers!
It depends on the moves you be making...if you were disappearing a job for a better opportunity, then you might be ok, but if you be only making lateral moves, it is noticeably job hopping. I would guess twice about hiring you, and would categorically ask a lot of question about your reason for leaving previous job.
Yes it does, but it also depends on what kind of job you are doing. If they are advancements within your career a bit than lateral shifts, it's a non-problem. If you were at equal place for 7 years and suddenly job hopping, be it because you were let go and are just taking fill-in job to get hindmost into your career goal? That generally is also fine. I be set to think just about it. If you were a computer programmer who be laid off and you took three different organization management positions and are in a minute interviewing for a computer programmer job, it's a nonproblem. But, if you be interviewing for yet another similar department management position, it would seem to be that you aren't a happy camper and why should we consume money on your training with our company? On the other foot, if this office position is within an entirely different field or next to increasing responsibility, again, it may be a non-problem.
Whether your employment history looks bad on a resume is not the issue. Your employment history is what it is, and you really can't or shouldn't hide it. What matter is that you "own it." You have to help yourself to responsibility for the reasons you hold changed jobs as habitually as you have and know how to explain those reasons.

You already sense that varying jobs closely could be a problem in getting another employment. One of the other answerers has explained that employer have lawful concerns about member of staff turnover and training related costs that can be very expensive.

So, don't WORRY give or take a few it, EXPLAIN it. If you can look yourself in the eye and are at facility with your explanation, afterwards chances are prospective employer will be too. But, under the circumstances you hold described, my gut feel is you better hold a darned good explanation.

Good luck.

nope,I craving. it depend where the check come from if I would keep it or not.
Not one-sidedly, but I've known folks it has happen to. Audits catch things resembling that. There are always checks and balance in any book keeping system. Third event audits take place on a regular justification as well. Someone WILL find out!

If a entity were to preserve the over payment, they would eventually be caught, next they would look dishonest for not saying something at the time.
Honesty is the best policy. :)
