The old philosophy of dragging yourself stale to a job you can`t bear at a company you hate is no longer adequate to modern generations. Very few those want to spend 40 years doing the same article (even if it's at different pay grades).
It's your natural life and you still have 20 years of full-time work ahead of you. Do what make you happy.

My husband have a felony drug conviction (from way since we met). After he got out of put in prison and rehab, he got a living as a setup guy in a factory and worked his approach up to supervisor, which is when I met him. When that plant shut down, he did several odd job as an electrician, maintenance man, things approaching that. Now he's a journeyman electrician, about to grasp his master's liscense.
The point is, YES you can have a go after a felony. You might not get a cozy employment in the corporate world, but lots of places will hire a felon, especially within construction and factory type work. I can tell you that if 6 months to swot up JAVA is too much for you then SAP is not going to work for you any. I have over 5 years beside SAP and I am still always erudition.
You should really get 2+ years of experience inside your current role and then use that to gain experience on the hot platform you want to learn. Hands-on research, even through a testing role, will be far more expensive than book learning.

Been there done that. I go to one companie and asked about a profession and they said they might have a position soon. Well I looked-for to work for that companie. I kept calling and calling. I would drop by and after about 4 weeks he finally have me meet him for a hurried interview at mc donnalds. The next time I had a assignment offer.
Later on he said they really did not own a position for me, but knew if I be trying that hard freshly to work for them and because I had another commission and still came after them they have to look me over. Finally if I was working that sturdy to get the duty then expected I would be a good tricky worker there. so they hired me when they did not really stipulation me. The owner said it was one of the better decision they had made.
So things may hold come up and he could be very busy. It happen to me all the time. You said you want this available job, so the cost may be a few calls. Is it worth your physical exertion to have a fate at what you want? You can presist until they say yes or no but at that point you will know and not hang on to wondering.

I would definately see this as asign. It shows that the company is already dysfunctional and your not even an employee even so. I would look else where bwcause you don;t want to be stuck working next to a company like that. Usually contained by the beginning most places put up in that best act and next they finally let their guard down and you see what you get yourself into.
You could have alredy be hired somewhere else with adjectives of their messing around. It won't hurt to look at other options and after if they call you great but for then it;s their loss!

My sister is -- she is a traveling tech. She gets to dance to all of these great cities for 3 -6 months at a time, the healthcare companies foot all of her rent plus a deeply high hourly rate, she get a lot of vacation in between assignments, and she have a lot of fun beside new inhabitants at the hospitals she works at. Initially she decided to do the traveling to pay packet off university, but now she's on a roll and requests to see all kind of new places on someone else's dime. My aunt is also a radiology tech and she have been beside a company for 30 years. She gets HUGE Christmas bonuses and loves the doctors that she works for surrounded by a small practice.
I have hear of more positives than negatives. I know the course is terrifically hard and profoundly of people don't label it through to graduation. GOOD LUCK!

I have experience of working surrounded by education and like it, I also have done frequent years of first aid. I really like animals too though and hold done work experience as a vet nurse. At 33 I am anxious to get it right how do I know which of these things to walk for? I keep worrying that I own made the wrong choice each time I choose something. Should I apply for adjectives the courses and see from there what would aid me to decide? Has anyone else be in this position? I know the position have to be caring and significant as that has be missing from my work for ages.

I currently work in a Vet. College, on the conservation side. Wonderful place to work, everyone so caring, courteous, polite, thoughtful...great. Somewhat 'in the open' not an bureau job ..as a nurse. The Small Animal Hospital have all the surgery, operating theatres, x gleam, Cat scan, MRI, Intensive Care (so lovely to see the ITU nurses sitting in read out a dog kennel cradling a dog as it recovers) then, phisiotherapy, and, finally they hand down. fit and well..What else can I say-so.
I used to be in IT, almost luckily the company go bust, and i wound up here. Escape IT, come join us here..such a pleasure. We own anything...ostrich, lions, horses, sheep, pigs, cattle, llama, even saw a snow leopard.

Nursing sounds like a obedient bet. There are so many specialities, and you can literally rob your pick once you've done your basic training.
In your position I'd try to bring back some voluntary work in contained by each of the areas.
