Not at all. But I found a solution. I simply found a new livelihood, and I start in 2 weeks.
I am a research chemist who have had to bear up sexual harassment at my current work. After 2 years of telling that guy the sexual comments be inappropriate and none of his business, I complained and the company did nil except punish me for speaking up. So accepted a modern job which also happen to be a promotion and a significant pay lift. Woohoo.
I 100% LOVE my full-time job (and pretty much hope that you'll never hold to experience my Part-Time 1st hand, lol).

My full-time is Editor/DJ for Un World Radio Show Magazine. I'm over at Radioshack surrounded by one of the worst malls in the East Coast (Baltimore, MD... if you've ever see "The Wire", my neighborhood & mall is located surrounded by the BASIS of the show. Shouts out to Park Heights. not reallllly, lol.) So the whole customer service point sucks in a big crime & high ignorance nouns, but BILLS must be paid. And it's better than hustling out on the corner, so I can't really complain too much.

But overall, my living is truly my CAREER and PASSION in time. It's wonderful. If you're interested in anything Urban (Entertainment, Culture, Lifestyle...), check it out:

Need Advice for Human Resources Management?

Question:
I am currently in institution getting BA for HR. Can any one please give me any proposal about person a HR manager? my plan is to catch a BA and get credentials of PHR. what are the differences between SPHR and PHR? Do i also need HRIS? should i carry a Master degree instead of human being certify for PHR? Do i need or can be recommend contained by order to draw from my job? Please give support to!

thanks a bunch

Answers:
I'm an HR Director working near the St. Andrew Church group and the best advice for becoming an HR professional is to get hold of the degree and read as various books as possible about regulation. The SPHR certificate is the stronger of the two certificate. Sometimes employers will retribution for the test because it is pricey. The Masters is correct but experience is better. Find internships in the summer working near an HR Department. Volunteer if you need to. The best agency to get the assignment is to have the experience. HRIS is VERY influential because so much of what Generalists especially do is work on data for compensation, payroll, collecting hand information for EEO reporting, etc. Learn about adjectives the laws, ADA, FMLA, EEO, because you will become the expert on this contained by your position. I strongly believe personality types engineer stronger HR managers. You hold to have strong communication and writing skills, be capable of handle conflict and to become conscious that the HR person surrounded by an office can sometimes be lonely. You own to walk that fine strip that balances policies between guidance and the people doing the work. Much of what you revise in the classroom is favourable but like associates who go to arts school to be teachers, until you achieve the experience you can't truly understand the brief. Keep working at it, and good luck.
For entry smooth, PHR is the right certification. You don't inevitability HR, leave it to the functional experts or will be outsourced anyway. Clearly a MBA is beneficial if your ambition is to mortgage to executive level.

Question for the days after an interview.?

Question:
I had an interview on Wednesday and I believe it go really well. They said near was a right chance they would permit me know by today(Friday) and it's almost 3pm and haven't heard anything.

What is the correct etiquette here? Should I ring them? E-mail? And if so, any suggestions as to what to say.

I haven't have an interview in almost 7 years prior to this one, so I'm a little rusty.

Answers:
You should convey a hand written entry thanking them for the interview. Most citizens put it in the communication the day of or light of day following the interview.

Then you wait just about 3 business days, and then follow up.
Call them!
I would influence not to follow up. It really will have no affect on their declaration to hire you or not. They make their edict based on the candidates' interviews.
I am sure you sent thank you memo following the interview. If they advised you they would contact you today and you haven't hear from them by end of time I would contact them on Monday. Could very in good health be they anticipated to have a outcome by today, but they are still undecisive to a minimal degree. Also hiring manager are notorious for not calling in connection with job offer before the weekend. Trust me. I've done it myself a million times the apology being it is back the weekend and you normally want to wrap up other things since Monday.

How can I become a focus group recruiter?

Question:
I know a ton of people who want to share in focus groups-- how can I become a recruiter for open market research/focus group companies? How can I get started within the field by getting list of focus groups? If you have positive information, please let me know! Thanks.

Answers:
It's fitting that people want to play a part in a focus group BUT they own to also qualify for the focus groups. Typically companies are looking for certain category of people.

I know of a local company, here are three here I know of, that run focus groups and the recruiters are basically minimun wage job. They call relatives in their database and ask a series of question, score the responses and consequently let the personage know if they qualify for the group or not based on the responses.

Check your pale pages for Market Research firms if you want to work for one and after call and see how you can apply.

I enjoy participated surrounded by focus groups and many firms factor you to once in six months next to their particular firm.

Denied for job loss how can i appeal?

Question:
I was fired for missing too several days, due to morning sickness. they fired me just after i started to show so immediately theres no way anyone will hire me i even have a lady look at my stomach and titter as she took my application

okay enough crying... i be only denied bc nearby is a high constraint for security officer (what i was doing) next to my background (Military).

I own the appeal form but i don't think only just putting down that i have a belly will do the trick... what do you cogitate?

Answers:
Disability will start once a doctor writes that you are not able to work due to your condition. I hold had organization in California budge out on disability during the 4th month of pregnancy and they were competent to collect. It's the information from the doctor to the state that makes that determination. In cases where on earth there is no medical rationale for you to be off of work it will start at 36 weeks, again, beside a doctor's note. Talk to your doctor and see what they say aloud about you working right presently, and if it is a good notion or not.

I would appeal the decision, you enjoy nothing to lose. State the facts of your grip. In an appeal you need to provide more information roughly the reason why you moved out work than the first time around. If you state that it was due to your medical condition the commission should fathom out.

E-mail me separately if you want to discuss the specifics. Maybe I can help you out beside the appeal if you would like some aid.
Well state your case. Most expected they will have tracked your days stale as excessive. Do you have a tourist information?
Each state is different; in your valise, I would go to your local brief service office (often found surrounded by the phone book) and inquire there just about what you can do.

Good luck!
try to not miss so much work the next time you dance to work for someone who is counting on your presence at work.

when my wife first started working she was other late or would telephone off work due to some object..so she was a temp and they only canned her..too copious "excuses" for missing

a few years later she get a friend to hire her at the same work but now she be motivated to have a supreme attendance.
and she was massively proud of her perfect attendance "bonus" when she get them...

people don't listen to reason for missing work..especcially as a security officer..and I be one of them too...the boss only requirements you on the job..time of year..if you become a valued employee next maybe you can acquire away with missing days at work. Unless you own a strong union bringing up the rear you. The company does not have to put up beside too many "awols" or "doctors notes"...excuses don't fly when you work for most companies..I be very ailing and was working for a foundry doing deeply heavy lifting work...but the foreman would not even look at my doctors restrictions..the foreman a short time ago told me he had no job for a restrictions..so i tore up the doctors note and go back to my employment..but in a daytime or so he put me in a living that was profoundly easier..i think since i did not complain..he give me a break..but this new livelihood was closely easier then working beside the other employees...sometimes it pays only to just do your errand
Pregnancy is considered a disability (that is why you get disability wages when you are on maternity leave). You could try to influence they were discriminating against you because of your disability.but it would be a stretch.
You should appeal baed on the facts that you hold presented. The administrative judge will promising ask whether or not the employer had an attendance policy, whether you be aware of that policy (was it in a visitors` guide that you signed for at the time of hire, for example?), whether your manager told you that you be in contravention of that policy and needed to improve, and so on.

If at hand was no policy, or no proof that you be aware of the policy, and/or if you were summarily fired when other workers are given opportunities to amend their attendance, than the employer could be guilty of disciminating against you because you are pregnant. This is very informal, as you might imagine. Also if you be fired immediately after you permit your supervisor know that you were pregnant, or if you be replaced while you were still employed (they have someone start performing your duties while you were still there), you would own a strong case.

Think give or take a few and collect any documents that might help you beside your appeal - performance warning (or lack thereof), attendance policies, e-mails from a supervisor, and so on. Present those near your written appeal.

An unemployment appeal contained by your favor could pave the way for a nouns claim with the department of labor as all right - www.dol.gov.

Good luck!

What he pays depends on what he is buying.
Depends how much you sue and extort money for permissible services.

Help! My coworker is trying to product me his personal assistant and the boss won't do anything in the order of it!?

Question:
I was hired to be the salaried organization manager of a small, busy construction organization in Chicago, IL. I enjoy also become the HR director, the receptionist and at the moment, the accountant. One of the guys in the organization is dumping a lot of work on me which severely restrictions my capacity to tend to my innovative and additional duties. I don't enjoy time for breaks and barely hold time for lunch. The boss said I have to aid him. This guy yells at me, swears at me and constantly belittles me. He also yell at everyone else in the organization, telling them what their charge is and how to do it. I complained to the boss and the guy stopped swearing at me, but that's all that's stopped. I hold been bringing work home night and weekends, yet I attain yelled at for not getting adjectives the work done and have to treaty with upset customers and coworkers because I don't hold time to do anything for them. I have 3 kids at home and I'm have a hard time finding another livelihood that pays decent. What can I do?

Answers:
Unfortunately, as a salaried member of staff, you have no entitlement to appropriate breaks and lunches. You are technically "on the clock" 24/7. However, I'd questions whether or not your position truly meet the salary foundation test which determines whether a position can be classed as exempt from overtime - most administrative positions don't collect the requirements. You may want to check out www.dol.gov, read through the info on exempt vs. non-exempt positions, and determine if you meet the "administrative exemption." criteria.

Now, let's discuss your entertaining coworker. Some empire dump on others at work because they can - the boss gives them authority to, they are contained by a position of power, and/or the dumpee is accommodating and nice. If this guy is truly stressed, working crazy hours, and so on, he may be dumping on you because he's drowning and you're the closest thing he's get to a life preserver. If you're slaughter yourself and he's out the door at 5, then you are person taken advantage of.

contained by the first case, try sitting down beside him and talking sensibly about how to structure the workload so that everyone's wants get met - his, yours, and the top boss's. If it's the second, you requirement to push back on him - again, steadily and professionally - by telling him that you hold other priorities, you'll get to his request at X time, and so on.

Good luck!
quit. find a man to bring care of you. i dont take why women work anyways. u should find a man to take comfort of you.
Put up with it and verbs to look for another job.
Write down everything surrounded by a journal/diary of what goes on, close to insults and dates. Just contained by case you hold to file an dismissal claim.
Plead with your boss that you necessitate help for adjectives the hats you are wearing.
Just because you are income doesnt necessarily mean you are exempt from overtime, if you work it.
What a stupid answer the guy within front of me posted... If it is something he is supposed to be doing you just requirement to do it wrong then afford it back to him a moment ago under the deadline to enjoy it completed..As far as the yelling when he does it grasp a rubber band and shot him on the closing of his nose a time or 2.
Find a different employment. You are being taken benefit of because you are allowing yourself to be. It might not be easy but keep hold of looking for another job. This one is going to conclude badly, within one way or the other. The co-worker is offensive and you don't need this. It is best to interview elsewhere while you are still employed. Apply for job as each of the job you perform and customize your resume for respectively one to reflect the specialized duties for that role which you accomplish. Expand your search and look for a commission as just an Accountant/Book guardian or just an Office Manager or lately an HR Manager. Make sure you are looking for jobs within those fields and don't be overly concerned next to what title an Employer decides to give the name it. You might be a bookeeper or a Executive Assistant or a Recruiter for a Temp Agency. Don't pigeon hole yourself.

The alternative is to list the job you perform and be outstandingly detailed and specific about respectively and every task, (Receptionist, Office Manager, Accountant and HR Director) appropriate the list, which you own divided under respectively title and go into your boss and ask for a angle of say, double what you are making. Tell him you are doing the job of 3 or 4 people but you are individual asking to be compensated for the jobs of 2 empire. See the look on his face. Then you can negotiate a more modest pay make higher, a part-time individual to assist YOU, or get him to craft the other guy back rotten and stop dumping his work on you.

If it were me, I would do both of these things at equal time. Look for another job and see if you can fix things where on earth you are. You then hold a better chance of culmination up where you want to be instead of where on earth someone forces you to be.
Don't take work home night and weekends. Or if you do, at least be sure your boss know it, and pays you for it. Being salaried does not necessarily mean that you don't properly have to be remunerated overtime.

Take a list of your tasks to the boss, next to what you feel are the priorities, and ask him if there's any priorities he requirements to change - later work from the top of the list. Let him and this other character know if something is going to be late or not procure done.

Good luck.
My cousin is going through the exact same thing next to her company. I suggested to her, and I will to you: Assert yourself in the workplace. I don't niggardly get an attitude. Just the disparate, I would make sure that you are particularly very professional and no-nonsense at adjectives times. What I mean is - breed the guy prioritize beforehand and not just dump things on to you. Push pay for on things. Calmly and matter-of-factly tell him you enjoy too many other things to attend to and convey him you will get to him following. Make him listen to your laundry list of other "urgent" tasks. Don't plead near anyone, don't give within, don't reinforce his behavior because he is just a purse of entitlement. You need to run control.

Really, Good luck!!

What is the legitimate age to go and get a commission?

Question:
I`ve read all the other question and answers to the age of getting a job...I`m 14 and I a moment ago want to double check. I have nought to do over the summer and I was thinking of getting a remunerated part time assignment...What is the legal age and the officially recognized jobs?

Answers:
It adjectives depends on what kind of post you need to procure. In teh work force you have to be 16 years feeble but right now you can seize work mowing lawns, babysitting, walking dogs, making and selling cookies or candy, or house sitting some people entail to have their flowers watered and dogs nurture or cleaned. SO there's lots of ways to make money newly go out and look. YOu can also do this byu yourself or beside a friend or 2 depends what you want to do. Try to find out where most outdated people live and net a deal beside them that you will come by check on them go shopping for them or move about to the store for them for a price. But if they do pay you be paid sure you work and don't try to pocket anything that's not yours. SO good luck.
I'm contained by UT and its 16 here.
you have to be at most minuscule 16 and above in most U.S. states.
14- and 15-year-olds may be employed outside of arts school hours for a maximum of 3 hours per day and 18 hours per week when institution is in session and a maximum of 8 hours per year and 40 hours per week when school is not contained by session. This age group is prohibited from working before 7 a.m. and after 7 p.m., except during summers when they may work until 9 p.m. (from June 1 through Labor Day).

16- and 17-year olds may be employed for unlimited hours. There are no federal law restricting the number of hours of work per day or per week.
It depends on the state and if college is in session.
within MO i think its 16 but its different everywhere.
i deem it's 16? i don't know.
you can work at the park or at a nursery at 14. I did. Ask about summer job from your school. You can also do Girl Scout Counseling.

Seems similar to you would be GREAT at it.

Make up something. Like Tutor in Tuesdays, or Kiddy Excercise
16 contained by the US. But you can always do things approaching babysitting or other odd job for neighbors. That's what I did until I got a profession in retail at 16.
nearby is no legal age it freshly depends where u want to work
16 but your college has to sign a licence thing... i have to do that... actually i be 15... but since i was almost 16 they agree to it slide =P
Here in Tennessee you can work at 14 beside those limits Kayla Arielle mentioned up to that time. Don't need a work licence either, basically need some ID to prove your 14+ years old-fashioned.

But, from what I hear, baby sitting can be better than an actual assignment sometimes. But I've never done it, so I wouldn't know.
in California its 15years older, with parent okay and a work permit issued by the large school you are attending.
Depends on country.

A friend be forced to resign. Should this character articulate to a federation advocate?

Question:
A friend of mine is in a mangment role. This creature took a vacation light of day. While on vacation someone who doesn't directly report to this individual made a huge mistake (largest mistake in the history of the office). My friend be the fall being and forced to resign without any severance or human being paid out for time off days. This person be a rock start employee getting promoted a few times and worked at this company for in the order of 5 and a half years.

It's unreasonable and it's a rather roomy company. This person have vacation days and if a lower leverl creature who doesn't report into my friend makes a mistake it's excessive for the blame to focus on my friend. Granted the mistake that was made falls inwardly my friend's team. The suitable news.after a few days the mistake be corrected so it all go away. It doesn't seem right or equal - should my friend sue?

Answers:
Have your friend speak with a local employment attorney. Union lawyers are for coalition members, and even if he is a appendage of a union, he will carry a less biased evaluation from an attorney that is not connected next to the employer in any means of access.

What your friend should look at is if there be any discrimination contained by his termination. Discrimination is based on age, sex, ethnic home, race, religion, military status, wedded status, disability, and sexual orientation. If he can point to some nouns, even a minor issue, then he may know how to sue on 'constructive termination' and discrimination.

'Constructive termination' is a logical legal occupancy. This is something that really needs an experienced employment attorney to review. Good luck.
Your friend resigned, they could enjoy refused. I dont see what they can do. Unless somebody put a gun to their lead and says sign this they are pretty much screwed. They should enjoy made the company fire them. But its a little past due now.

He quit, he resigned, dictum they were forced to resign is ridiculous. It might be true but he give the company all the option. All they have to voice is he quit. We filled his position. I dont expect you can sue a company when you quit.
Was your friend in a grouping? If he or she wasn't, then it make no sense to talk to a alliance lawyer.

The one and only basis your friend have to sue would be on the basis of nouns (based upon age, sex, skin color etc). Otherwise the company has every right to fire an hand no matter the use.
Your friend probably has no recourse - they should not enjoy resigned if they didn't think it be fair.
Like another answerer replied - unless your friend be a member of a federation, he wouldn't talk to a coalition lawyer. An employment attorney is a different situation. It depends on his contract, and whether he works in an 'at will' employment state. He can check Dept. of Labor & Industries contained by the state where he worked, and consequently consult with an attorney. Most attorneys will agree to you talk to them for a free consultation, to see if you hold a good covering or not. He can check the local bar association for referral to an attorney.

And when their name/assigned number comes up; you can call the upcoming customer's cell phone to relate them that they can return to the restaurant and be served. The call rear fee is usually around $0.50 cents on a per chief basis. For example, a couple would be charged $1.00 while children beneath 6 would not be charged. Quitting my livelihood?

Question:
so, I am leaving my undertaking for the summer, but I don't want to upset my boss. I plan on returning in September anyways. The cause I am leaving is because I be offered a seasonal job which pays much better. Tell me if you think this is a apt note to give notice her:

Due to certain events that own transpired, I will no longer be working here for the rest of the summer. I do however want to return in September.

Tell me if I should give anything or change anything. If someone comes up beside something better, let me know! Thanks!

Answers:
You might freshly try and take an extended give up of absence beside no pay, that track your job is still in attendance in September when you go and get back.
Restate the notification to say - I will be available surrounded by Sept. You know she will ask you what is transpiring. Are you that good that you wont be insulting her but hurting her that she would transport you back?
WHY DO YOU THINK THEY WILL JUST LET YOU COME BACK WHEN YOU WANT.I WOULDNT REHIRE YOU UNLESS!!
You really necessitate to consider whether or not the summer job money is satisfactory in armour you don't have the behind the times job to return to.
I wouldn't recommend recitation your employer in a notification. This is something that should be discussed, face to frontage. Tell your manager/supervisor what you would like to do. You a short time ago can't assume that, after looking for a replacement for you, for the summer, that he/she will want to fire the replacement just to hold you back on the opening.

In other words, you will be asking THEM to take the extra trouble to do this, AND reaction you back. What if they resembling your replacement's performance better?

Be up front next to them, and prepare yourself to make a declaration. If they tell you that they won't guarantee your position at the finale of the season, then YOU own to decide if you really want this summer duty, at THAT cost.

A letter, simply stating that you are going to donate your job, will read approaching an ultimatum, even if you don't intend it. You can quit a job any time you similar to. They don't have to re hire you if they don't want. Make it a two agency conversation.
