What is it approaching to be an RN? How concrete is the RN program at a community college?

Question:
Wanting to know what its like to be an RN. I own taken alot of the prerequisites for the RN program at a community college (I have 3 classes left). I enjoy a 5yr old and a 2yr ripened to think of. I am also 40yrs mature now. Im concerned going on for my future surrounded by the workforce and being competent to provide for myself and my children.

Answers:
You have opportunity security for duration. In my area, they're giving huge bonuses for RN's to work for their hospitals. It's one of the fastest growing occupation in the US, and will be for the subsequent decade and more. You can make $50,000 or more starting out, depending on where on earth you are in the US.

According to the US Dept of Labor, here's what you do when you're an RN:

Registered nurses (RNs), regardless of specialty or work setting, accomplish basic duties that include treating patients, educating patients and the public going on for various medical conditions, and providing direction and emotional support to patients’ family connections members. RNs transcription patients’ medical histories and symptoms, help to carry out diagnostic tests and analyze results, operate medical machinery, administer treatment and medication, and help next to patient follow-up and rehabilitation.

RNs coach patients and their families how to direct their illness or injury, including post-treatment home thought needs, diet and exercise programs, and self-administration of medication and physical psychoanalysis. Some RNs also are trained to provide grief counseling to family member of critically ill patients. RNs work to promote standard health by educating the public on miscellaneous warning signs and symptoms of disease and where on earth to go for give a hand. RNs also might run general strength screening or immunization clinics, blood drives, and public seminar on various conditions.

RNs can specialize surrounded by one or more patient strictness specialties. The most common specialties can be divided into roughly four categories—by work setting or type of treatment; disease, ailment, or condition; organ or body system type; or population. RNs may combine specialties from more than one area—for example, pediatric oncology or cardiac emergency—depending on personal interest and employer desires.

Here's the wages according to the US Dept of Labor:
Median annual earnings of registered nurses be $52,330 in May 2004. The middle 50 percent earn between $43,370 and $63,360. The lowest 10 percent earned smaller amount than $37,300, and the highest 10 percent earn more than $74,760.

Good luck!
There is great job warranty in nursing. Go for it. You can brand name a great living financially as a nurse if you work full time, especially if you are able to work surrounded by a hospital~ Finish the program at the community college, you can do it. I did the 4 year program at a state college, but I imagine they are similar. I know lots of nurses who are moms, who did the 2 year program and did rather well. As a nurse, be prepared to work some odd shifts- including nights- and weekends, and holidays. Thats my single real complaint. Good luck!
No situation what anyone tells you in the order of nursing, do more indepth research for yourself first if you really want to know what its like. Sure, you can spawn decent money but the work is no bed of roses. It is EXTREMELY high-stress and sometimes downright unsafe. As a nurse you will work harder than you possibly could at almost any other career, running posterior and forth between many patients and their family, many of whom will be outstandingly rude and demanding. And if you want to know what 'rude and demanding' really means, only wait until you own to deal beside some of those arrogant physicians. They will abuse you over and over again, and there's nought you are able to do going on for it because they are the gods of the medical system and everyone worships them.

Nursing is an celebrated job, and the entire condition care system would collapse completely lacking nurses. But, you would never know that by working as a nurse. The abuse, politics, and foolishness that you own to deal beside everyday as a nurse is not worth the money to a lot of nation so they quit, and that's why there is such a shortage of nurses within most places. There's really no shortage of nurses in the US, only just a shortage of RNs who are willing to verbs working under existing conditions. There are more than a partially a million licensed registered nurses in America who are no longer working contained by the nursing field because they are adjectives out and tired of it. Most registered nurses now are approaching retirement age, and when they are gone the shortage will go and get much worse because according to a CNN survey a few years ago, the average nursing graduate leaves the profession after only roughly speaking 5 years.

I won't discourge you from becoming a nurse if that's what you really want to do. But, if you do you will one day find yourself remembering what be written in this post. Not a discouraging way to brand name a living for a few years, but don't plan to stay in it much longer than that. Continue your coaching so that you can move on to other things subsequent on if you want to. Nursing is nothing resembling what it appears to be to the average non-nurse. Please take my warning and do more research before you budge into nursing. Talk to more registered nurses, and you will soon see that I am not making any of this up!

What would you ask surrounded by a situation interview for your subsequent boss?

Question:
I have the opportunity to interview my subsequent boss. what do I ask in this interview?

Answers:
As crazy as it may nouns an important cross-examine to ask is "what is your favorite movie?" for a few reasons..

1. You catch insight as to what kind of human being they are - interests, personality, etc.

2. You'll own an edge over other applicants as they might lug the question bad guard. If they ask why you asked you say I looked-for to know what kind of character I'd be working for

3. You may find some sort of common ground beside them and spark up some personal conversation.
In 5 years what are the companies goals/plans.
Oh wow! You are so lucky.I would want to know what he likes the most something like the job he does? and what he like least.
how long have he been within his position? does he have interests outside of work? One of the best question I have see here on "ask" was related to interviewing..the put somebody through the mill was on an interview: the interviewer asked "Based on your self-worth, if you had to relate yourself to a breakfast cereal, what would you be and why?
Good luck !
I would find out a bit bit about the company, so in attendance is no surprises when you get in attendance. During your interview you need to ask just about benefits, schedules, dress codes, promotions, and most importantly, your net. Make a list of what you want to know. (But don't lift it with you). Dress nice and professional, be nature and friendly, and look at your interviewer in the eye.
Best of luck!

How should I pedal individual terminated from a available job on applications & interviews?

Question:
I'm sure this question have been asked masses times before, but I be having trouble probing for a similar question.

Anyway, I worked at the errand for 3+ years, was promoted at hand twice, and more than doubled my starting hourly wage through raises, so I be clearly a valued employee.

I be terminated (not laid off) suddenly during a time of "corporate restructuring" ; my attitude and job operation were suffering because of despair with the change, and I was looking for another opening. They listed on my termination interest "multiple breach of company policy."

I can't just evacuate them off my work history, because this place is where on earth I gained most of my relevant work experience.

How do I bar this on my resume, on applications, and in interviews? (I hold been on 7 post interviews, and suspect that I am either blowing it on this issue, or former times employer is screwing me up on references)

Answers:
There is the right opening and the way that will work. The right opening is to leave this experience on your resume and transmit them you were terminated and explain why you've grown and studious from the experience. This is the right way, but your hit and miss of getting hired is dramatically diminished. The way that will work is to give notice the entire experience off your resume and account what you learned near in the 'proficiencies' or skills subdivision of your 'resume'. If pressed to explain what you were doing within that period, report them you were pursuing personal interests (making money) within an unrelated field (a sucky company), or worked for a company that doesn't really apply to what you are seeking to do (work for a firm that doesn't suck). Neither statement is false.

You see, if you bring up to date them you were terminated, that raise anxiety. So, they will avoid you and hire someone that doesn't have 'issues.' Did that personage (who got your job) ever acquire canned? Almost definitely. Did he or she mention it in a resume? Almost no problem not.
have honourable friends to lie for you if your realy serious nearly getting a job it works for my sister immediately she works at k mart in the jewlery department she have had this post for 2 years now
Don't really enjoy a great answer for you but if you have a friend that worked here, just bequeath their contact info and have them pay for you up, basically nobody have to know. You can also check out www.askyourass.com you may be able to find the answer. It is a website run by author David Laskoff. He also has a book, 'Landing on the Right Side of Your ***, a Guide for the Recently Unemployed'. It is insightful and funny and he also take email questions on his website or you may know how to find the same put somebody through the mill that somebody has asked him contained by the past.

Check it out and well-mannered luck!

***Sorry it's Michael Laskoff and the book is called: 'Landing on the Right Side of Your ***: A Survival Guide for the Recently Unemployed' .and I checked for the website and your right it is no longer available. I guess I should hold checked before. However, the book is a perfect guide.***
I was consent to go do to corporate restructuring, my position be in peril and they found out that I be actively pursuing other employment possibilities.
You do not have to report to your future employer that you were terminated. And your former employer can solitary legally verify your employment.

On your resume, lone state the years you worked. 2004 - 2007. Do not explain on your resume why you are no longer working there.

If adjectives employers ask what happen at your last undertaking, tell them you be interested in seeking other endeavors. Don't enlighten them why you were terminated.
I going to present you advise to practice for when someday I may progress and work for the CIA , FBI , NSA or whatever !!

First , you I don`t know can screw your first employer finding if he really is talking distrustful about you . How ?

In a people reunion get someone to phone call ( with the speaker phone on ) your first employer and ask them for reference about you and the reason of your termination . See ?
The person calling must enjoy a resume and aplication in from of them surrounded by case those other those ask details to confirm they are talking near real employer to whom you have applied for a career !!
Well , they will say anything and you will have a bunch of witnesses within your favor , that only may appropriate a few minutes , but if they talk bleak about you afterwards you take them to court for difamation and blah blah blah and you can afterwards collect a pretty good lot of money from them !!

Other course for you is to change your given name and social security and not one will know you worked for those those .

Why you don't go and shake those guys a litle bet getting nearby and asking them to give you a copy of your archives with the company if you don't close to my first sugestions ?

Hey , go to period of war anyway and have fun but remember you are within the jungle and you need to fitgh or run .

I other get worthy grades in arts school and watch closely of movies and stuff so you can really like what i have said here today to you !

******************************...
The best thing to do on applications is write "will discuss". Once you go and get the interview, you can explain to them what happened. Usually if they close to you, they will see past that.

I want you luck, hope that helps.
Please believe me, i am not anyone a wiseass, but these days, this is almost a decoration of honor.
Being caught in the meatgrinder of corporate restructuring is zilch new in our time, there are places where on earth half the empire there are casualties of restructuring elsewhere.
Be honest, but don't impossible mouth the co.
I'd bet the person intervierwing you have gone through the same entity.

This gives me an an opinion. Watch my next post.
Use the experience that you gain as a positive, evidently you were a valued hand.

"Due to some personal problems and the change surrounded by corporate culture, I became dissatisfied and disenfranchised beside the organization and I begin to look for another position. Unfortunately, during my search, I be caught up within a 'corporate restructuiring'. I believe that I have the skills, experience and attitude to be a positive asset to your firm."

Generally, the former employer will solitary release dates of hire and responsibilities. However, if you suspect that they are ":screw me on the references", have a friend call upon your former boss, as Personnel Manager of ABC Corporation, and inquire as to your work history, attendance, abilities, wage rates, etc. If the employer is engaged contained by vindictive activity, you will hold a witness and a good argument for a lawsuit. (Be sure your friend takes fitting notes of the conversation.)

Hi,

I would not recommend information entry as they are really Affiliate Marketing in disguise. I hold tried and failed miserably minus getting back my reimbursement as promised. I strongly recommend you to try Affiliate Marketing instead.

Affiliate Marketing is currently the easiest and most convenient way to start a business online -- provide other people's products and earn a commission whenever you successfully sell a product.

Besides type at home programs, I hold wasted pretty a lot of money on others close to MLM, reading e-mails to get rewarded, etc. until I came across affiliate marketing. I am still struggling but al lowest possible I am starting to see some results.

You can visit my website where on earth I review the 3 legitimate programs that I hold found useful: http://earnquickfastincome.com/index.php...

You can try out the first 2 programs that I recommend on my website but not the 3rd one (paid surveys). You can try affiliate marketing online irrespective of which country you stay contained by. However, I don't think nearby are many remunerated surveys opportunities contained by Singapore.

Please do not try the Ultimate Wealth Package. I have tried it and that did not work out impressively well for me.

I hope you find this information adjectives.

Thanks
John

I want a occupation modification.?

Question:
My career is in the order of money. That's it. If I could, I'd retire tomorrow. Since I am only 39 years mature...that might be tough...

My problem is that I make a upright living in my current pen. My current income exceeds $130,000.00 base pay plus bonuses. So, while I'd be willing to present some of that back if I discovered my true calling, I am tentative to make a smaller amount than "inspired" change. What I stingy is that I want to feel as though I own found a true fit for my emotional as ably as financial needs. Where does one jump to discover this?

Answers:
You should look at your transferable skills and see if there are other positions that would allow you to use them. My husband get over 100,000 too and he hated his career. we were munificent of stuck ( and I am a career counselor -so we really examined adjectives the options.) At the termination of the process we decided that he could simply switch agencies and find more fulfillment surrounded by a different area of specialization. he is much happier.

You probably can't quit today and find a exotic great job, but if sounds close to networking is fragment of your lifestyle. Keep an eye open for other within similar fields. You might know how to changes some of what you don't close to and still make a polite living.

Be sure to enlist all of your close friends and family unit in the process, you never know who can give support to. Good Luck!

As a P.S. - I am a Career Counselor at a college and I usually detest headhunters, I think they rip family off for doing work that the creature themselves can usually do. But in your overnight case it might be worth sitting down with a reputable one. Contact your college's job and see if they have a counsel.
Like any ego-maniac, I'll answer your question by discussion about myself.

I get a job where on earth I make $11,000 a year, lived beside my parents for almost two years, and bought a house to live in.

This house have taught me what I'm virtuous at, and what I'm bad at... what I similar to to do, and what I absolutely detest doing.

My direction to you is, find a very stimulating project with no guarantee of income (like a crappy outdated house), and fix it up. It'll teach you more than merely how to hammer a staple straight, that's for sure.

And if you should happen to disappear your current job, I could clearly use $130k/yr. Would you give me a honourable reference?

Have you ever worked on a cruise ship?

Question:
Im single no kids 34 and a waitress.I have lived beside my Mother for the last year.Im geared up to get out and travel a bit! Answers:
I hear that you make lots of money but you enjoy a SUPER SMALL ROOM! and you have to sign a contract that you will work for them for 6- 8 months at a time. So i dont know everything and adjectives the details but my mom and dad went on a cruise and they talk to the person that wait on them. SO hope this helps and gooD LUCK!!
Most general public in the US do not close to to work on a cruise ship. It's often term a prison ship, because you're literally trapped at sea surrounded by hell-hole conditions (crew quarters are nought like the passengers) working nearly non-stop. Pay is poor, everyone disrespects you (passengers, and officer of the ship), and unlike a regular job when you in recent times go home after your shift and escape the throbbing, you can't even do that on a cruise ship. It's no wonder most cruise ships are staffed by third world countries.
This sort of relates to your idea, but you could own your online travel agency pretty well and get some incredible benefits to the entire world of travel! Sorry if this doesn't answer your question, but it seem like you would love this opportunity.
All the best

So since i didnt enjoy my car i be kinda stuck there and couldnt resign from. They told me i am not technically an employee but i am representing the company so i be not alloud to use my cell phone to contact anyone to let them know what be going on. So while the other people who worked nearby were "employees" they get paid for the hours of daylight of standing and begging empire for money while i did not. I applied for a graphic design work not charity work.

Answers:
This was truly an issue of hot debate a couple of years back employer's in fact doing this to prospective employee's. Under wage & hour laws (Department of Labor) you have to be compensated for this time at a minimum of the state's minimum wage. In fact, because of the posture you were treated and you in truth WORKED you would be considered an employee even if "probationary." The minute you begin to do work for them they acted as an "employer" and treated you as an "employee." There are various other issues that I am concerned with, but my response would be too long. Definitely contact the Department of Labor concerning this business practice and obtaining grant for the work you conducted (time). I am certain this will be referred to other agencies.
Slave labor is no longer legally recognized in America. Something to do near Fair labor and wages for work done.. ;)
Contact your local Department of Labor - Make a complaint, even if you don't intend to follow through.. this may not be happening one and only to you.. seems that they enjoy a habit of taking dominance of individuals..
Something doesn't sound right or your story isn't complete. What is the title of the career you were hired for and what documentation did you sign when you agreed the job?
I don't believe these are grounds to sue...you simply need to ask what your title and employment description are and if you don't like it...consequently start looking for another job. What grounds do you contemplate you can sue for? Being stranded at a job site?
What a callous experience you had.
Was it through an employment agency?
I don't really ruminate you can sue for what they did, but
you can report them to government
organization specific for your situation.
http://www.workplacefairness.org/employe...
Click on the areas of this web site to swot more.
I would also call the employer and DEMAND that you be compensated for your time, need of respect, and inability to
leave when you considered necessary due to not having your vehicle.
Also mention that you plan on reporting them to ________
(one of the groups you choose from the above site)
This is what I would do in a heartbeat.
I enjoy zero tolerance for "disrespect".
Good luck!!
cut your loses and spend the time constructively looking for errand it will be well worth it. ur experience qualified u what it did. take the lesson. pursuing them for a gross of $160 (say $10 x 8hrs x 2days) is really gross. resembling u could check out u.n. jobs

What humane of job are available for Economics majors?

Question:
I am graduating within one year from an Ivy League university with a level in Economics. My long-run plan is decree school but I might work to reward off student debt beforehand applying to LS.

What jobs are in attendance for Econ majors anyway? It seems most of the stuff we swot up is broad and not exactly applicable in the workforce.

(My work experience is recreational secretary at a law firm, proletarian secretary at a software company, and also part-time telemarketing.) Basically I've worked these job while at university.

Answers:
A lot of companies hire general degree like Economics for positions close to Inventory Control, Finance, Analysts, Customer Service, etc. I think you enjoy a lot of option, just involve to find the type of company that can appreciate a diverse background. I work for a hulking Fortune 500 company and we recently hired a girl beside a degree within English as our head of Inventory Control surrounded by one of our warehouses. You call for to be able to clarify and demonstrate within your search process how you can benefit the company, be creative.

That said I cogitate you may want to reconsider putting stale law university to work off your debt. I would suspect the debt you would acrue within Law School would dwarf whatever loans you own anyway, and when you come out of law university your income potential would be much higher and you could retribution off your loans faster.

Sure you might be capable of make 45k a year right in a minute and throw at best 5k-10k per year at your loans, or you could be making 100k in a few more years and throw down 20k. Just stipulation to know your interest rates and how that would compare. Hell you might find it better to keep making small payments on the college loans because they typically enjoy very low interest rates and instead invest your money surrounded by real esate, an IRA or stocks.. Your earn interest would probably increase faster than the interest on your debt. Just some ideas to reflect about.

However if you are basically unsure of law college and want to try the "real world" out that may be worthy, but I wouldn't do it solely for paying off your debt, at tiniest get warning from someone that understands your financial situation better.
u can see copious quotes saying that "u can earn upto 20000$-30000$ per month" BUT ican rebel you that u can earn 1000$-2500$ for a week by spending one hour time/day .the earnings may increase beside increase in ur time within this ..
affiliate marketing is a great way to earn the extra money you have need of to help you kind ends meet and live more comfortably.categorically u will earn more than the other ways.......
http://www.freewebs.com/getanyjobs...
Broad often method wide option for you.

I am an economics major as capably, and it really depends on what you want to pursue. You can work at:

- International organizations such as World Bank or UNDP or IMF doing financial research, policy analysis and other issue focused work
- Banks whether finance, research or financial research areas
- Private companies involved in research, strategic planning, forecasting
- Consulting companies such as NBER (National Bureau of Economic Research)
- Policy expect tanks such as Brookings Institution if you're a liberal and Heritage Foundation if you're a conservative
- Government institutions
- Media doing business reports

And abundantly more. It really just depends on what you want to do and what you want to pursue.
