I too enjoy trouble writing {but usually I'm not awful :-) }. I think your cover notification has too much within it. Your resume should have most of this information surrounded by it. Your cover letter should be targeted to the specific skills (items) for the specific position you are applying for. But, here is a stab at your paragraph:
I own been within my current accounting position for 3 1/2 years. I manage payroll and bookkeeping for clients within many different field. On a daily proof, I perform weekly payroll and do paperwork account balance. Again, I would not use the paragraph as written. Take the section that apply for a specific job and put that contained by your cover letter. Your resume can be more broad and include all this information. I prefer bullet pointed information a bit than paragraphs surrounded by a resume.

Try and generalize your background experience and try and direct the focus of it to the work you are applying for. Hey, I've be in the accounting area now for roughly 15 years. I agree with other comments that smaller number detail is better. You can save the more in-depth dialogue when you take to the actual interview. You might summarize your cover letter by stating that you own extensive education, work experience, and skills contained by computers, taxes, accounting, auditing, bookkeeping, customer service, etc. Just hit the highlights.
