I have only started my first job at kmart..and I be hired as a cashier(which I didnt want but they said it was tremendously easy) know it has be about three days and i enjoy just be bagging for the other cashiers. Many job will do that to you. I worked at Wendy's and the first day I did cashiering, they didn't tender me any training either. They basically threw me up there and I have to figure it out by myself. I only just kept asking questions every time I couldn't digit it out. Then the "evil" manager would scream at me and tell me I needed to smile. WHO CAN THINK OF SMILING WITH ALL THAT STRESS??
As I said, most job, at least contained by my experience are not as professional as they should be and won't even give you proper training. When you capture there tomorrow, notify them "if you put me on the register, I won't have a clue what I'm doing because I didn't enjoy proper training." If you were supposed to be watching the other banker in lay down to learn how to use the register, they should hold talked you through it.
I've done a teller job within a grocery store before and it really isn't thoroughly difficult. You just scan the barcodes on the items, after when all items are scan hit the 'total' button. Tell the customer the total, if they pay bread enter the amount of cash and hit the 'cash' button. The register should next tell you how much metamorphosis, count the change, afford it to the customer and your first customer is done!
