Careers Employment Questions and Answers

Which job should i choose?

Question:
i'm having trouble which occupation to choose. should i do firefighting? or go medically and be an anesthesiologist?

Answers:
I be a firefighter in the army and that's what suited me best, they did tons of checks and test to find what my personality be like. I am not sure I could however do one single year as a anesthesiologist.
Basically the two jobs might be mutually exclusive, but why not
rob an aptitude career theory test and and see if you get any hypothesis there's a free one here half passageway down the page
http://gsx1.com/freeaptitest.htm...
Well becoming a firefighter is easy mentally but not easy physically. Becoming a doctor is hard mentally and undemanding physically. Ask yourself what area you are stronger within at the moment mind or muscle.
do wht intrests u... sumtimes we have peer pressure and family unit pressure too but u shud opt for tht field where on earth u know u can excel... nd thn prove ur self.. though u shud choose a subject tht has oodles feilds opened to it... adjectives the best
get a livelihood thats fun and not only $pay$
One which you close to, out of these three, the most.
Medical or anesthesiologist...more money.
Do whatever you own a passion for lead to if you don't have a love for the job afterwards your just miserable. do what you love to do anything it is, if it's firefighting then do that if it's anyone a doctor or nurse do that one thing you own to remember you got to own to love what your doing and have a dedication for it.

Can i wear my muzzle ring?

Question:
Does Bank of America allow their employees to wear feeler rings while working?

Answers:
Banking is traditionally a very, extraordinarily conservative, stuffy industry. Many customers are old-fashioned and may be alarmed at entrusting their money to someone near body piercings. Body piercings are still considered "daring" by a certain percenage of the populace (yes, by us antediluvian folks). You may be asked to remove your nose ring or to put surrounded by a spacer. My employer frowns on visible body piercings, so my own body piercings are not distinct when I wear business clothing.

I personally would not raise objections to a bank member of staff with a muzzle piercing, but I would prefer a small, unostentatious nose stud to some extent than a nose ring.

Rather than lately wearing your body jewelry to work and seeing who notices, any consult your company's policy manual or simply ask your supervisor.
Nope they sure don't. Its "unprofessional looking"
No - a robber could verbs it and force you to give him the combination.
Shouldn't you ask your employer? It doesn't engender sense to ask a bunch of people who don't work in attendance.
no. if anything you can get a clear stud. but most bank have a strict dress code, unless you're buddy buddy near the manager.
i dont contemplate so,or else y dont u ask the edge manager abt rules wearin ring within nose.
most companies don't allow that esp if your living requires you to face clients. but feeler things may be allowed in companies that thrive surrounded by creativity like hype, publishing... etc... still, it doesn't really give a worthy impression... =)
I do not mull over they do, customers might frown upon that, I work in a hill and they do ont allow any visible tattoos or peircings save for the ears.
Bank, no. Nose Ring Parlours, yes
Well i work at a bank and 2 of my coworker own nose ring but they are really small. I also own 9 tattoos. Only one way to find out wear it. Dont produce a big deal just about it and dont ask just wear and see what they utter.
Squishy,
Don't ask the archaic prude gallery.

It is 2007 many professionals own piercings etc.

Do not over emphasize it, wear a small down played jewelery piece.

I'm assuming you own already interviewed, but if you have not , wear it and see if it is address then.

My financial tutor has an eyebrow piercing, and it make her no less the professional.

Cheers
No!! I in reality work for them before.it is terrifically umprofessional
probably not... ask your branch manager... I don't ponder personally they resemble professionalism...
No they don't.
straightforward answer just ask
Let me be the first one to relay you this: Your nose ring is unsightly and you look so much better without it! That's right. Your so-called "friends" will inform you it looks cool or good -- but they are laughing at you down your back.

If you are customer-facing at the Bank of America, I'm sure they would prefer a verbs and professional look. My bet is it's not allowed.

Is the antenna right a "Pig" style ring or one that always have a red spot around it so it looks like you own an infection?
Definitely not. Some people are distracted by it.
The following are standard standards in the opportunity market. Follow them if you want to brand name a positive first impression. These guidelines will as you would expect vary from country to country and the type of position you are applying for. The best way to find out how you should dress up for an interview is to dress a bit bit higher than the workers you would be working with.

Women:
· Don't wear your skirts too short or too tight, heels to soaring, or blouses too low and too sheer.
· Skip the loud nail colors and long nail. Keep your makeup subtle.
· Carry an extra pair of stockings newly in crust and wear them, even in the summer.
· Don't wear too much jewelry; hang on to it simple. Don't wear lots of earrings.
· Conservative blouse and suit, with skirt not too short, sensible heels, subtle form up and jewelry. Fill only one hole next to earrings if you have copious. Never wear large hoop earrings.

Everyone
· If you muse you need a hairstyle, get one.
· Don't splash on too much perfume or aftershave. Many society are allergic to scents.
· Don't wear a trunk ring.
· Take a shower that morning and wear a deodorant.
· Polish your shoes and press your clothes the night in the past.
· Absolutely don't chew gum or smoke.
· If you suffer from sweaty palms, keep a bandanna with a short time baby powder or cornstarch surrounded by it. Before your interview, go into the restroom and dry your hand with it.
· Go to the interview alone. Don't bring a friend or relative.
· Get a obedient night's sleep the night previously.

Peace and every blessing!
I would say no girls shouldn't wear a feeler ring as it spoils their nose & specially no if you are working within any of the service sectors similar to banks or hotels etc
You should never wear it to an interview at the completely least. You might enjoy people who are colourless to body piercings and people who are glum about it. You'll almost never hold someone who is interviewing you see you in a *more* positive muted because of it.

Now as far as dress code AFTER you're already hired, consult the employee booklet or ask HR. They'll be able to narrate you.

I used SAP for four years in a previous profession and I absolutely insufferable it. Such complicated procedures to do the simplest tasks.
Now use Sage, and I much, much prefer it.
SAP Business One is a program that developed for small to mid size companies. Mind you many roomy companies use this program too.

The program is designed to allow both employees and manager to make powerfully informed business decisions on the operation of the company. This is done by the program giving an accurate up-to date spectacle of the business; instant information to the finance, engineering and sales of the business; automatic alerts and responses to knob business events; it also has the cleverness to grow with the shifting needs.

There are courses on this program but usually the training is done by the supplier of the program. Though you may find training inwardly small schools or business school.

Answers:
embezzle the asian job for couple of years, when you do wish to come back, companies love diversity within canada and they will really comprehend the international experience on your resume. Biggest downfall when hiring candidates is their schooling, experience and lack of diversity. Besides, you will other wonder all your natural life if you dont go.
Wrong interview. No substance. Do what you are passionate something like.
i say you choose the first one. employment satisfaction is still more significant in the long run... we have need of to get out of our comfort zone sometimes...=)
Sounds like you are youthful and unencumbered. Go for the Asian job, you might never achieve this chance again. You can other transfer wager on to Canada if you tire of it, but the experience would be great on your resume, and it would be an adventure that few general public ever get.

Go For IT!
I would pick 2 but it is up to you and you requirement to be passionate around you choice...
Me? Oh, I'd choose the adventure almost every time!

Now...if you enjoy a spouse & kids, take them into consideration & muse about whether the move would be a positive or refusal for them and make your verdict with your spouse's and kids' input surrounded by mind.

I've gotta admit, I'd love a coincidence to live/work in another culture.
Take the motor Chigga lol I love ur car hehehe.altho u know my answer to ur query :D but it's irresistible going away from a G35 Coupeeeeeeeeeeeeee lol man it's good to be driving ;)
I might suggest but not be paid your decision for you.

As for me, i wold give somebody a lift the job offered within South East Asia. In Toronto, there would be various people similar to you. In Asia, you can help the country upgrade and the people. Like Chinese say-so, we always entail more diligent people. As you right to be heard, it would be a meaningful duty. You can also afford a comfortable living there as capably. You see new things and relations. You get more into your "culture". I am Dutch but born of Chinese parents. If i own the oppertunity to work in China, i would because i later can bring about foreign influence and what i know of into the country.

I hope i made sense. Take thinking. Make wise choices.

Would you do this for $100 ?

Question:
Would you go door to door trying to switch relations from cable to satellite, they will save money and procure more channels near better picture quality...1 out of roughly every 15 houses will do it, you will get remunerated $100...would you do it ?

If you answer no.why?
If you answer yes.why wont people apply when I run ad to hire people?

Answers:
It is adjectives in how you push the job. I know a guy who does the in front of. Getting people to sign up for a range of services for a company that offers home phone, cable t.v., cable internet etc. He organize groups to work a whole village. If you hire and motivate people to vend that is the answer. Hey this is a verbs job, excercise and the money is not impossible. So make sure you put up a great give a hand wanted personal ad and they will contact you
How many hours do you own to work? If it's 8 then that's not too doomed to failure of pay for exercise and the possibility of getting maul by a dog or shot for trespassing, lol.
Not me.. I hate sale. Plus, I I'm a long time cable subsciber and I'm happy beside their service.

But if you really needed a job consequently I'd say shift for it! 100 bucks is 100 bucks.
No. Door-to-door sales would be horrible, and I'd bet any money that far not as much of than 1 in 15 houses would sign up.
no cuz i can not whip it when people are rude to me (Which they will be contained by this case).. i'd end up anyone fired before i can voice hello 100$ bill lol.
Yes,for a job and knob 100.No,because it has oodles handicaps such as time, walk around and consult too much.
yes, because your is probaly boring maybe switch it up somewhat bit and make what your doing nouns exiting.
Probably not. I'm not working any charge that is door-to-door direct sale.

I am confused about the salary. Is it $100 per day or a $100 commission per public sale? Eiher way it may be tough to find prospective workforce, but you hopefully can find those who just really call for a job.

Good luck!

Since minimum wage go up does associates that kind more than that get hold of a elevate also?

Question:

Answers:
My oldest son has 2 job, one minimum wage & the other one not. He got a incline on his minimum wage job but not surrounded by his other (he's still making above minimum wage there, but it didn't shift up at all).

My beef with increase surrounded by the minimum wage is that it makes it difficult on small business owners. if they used to repay 20 people $5.50 an hour, they'll be capable of pay not as much of people $5.85 an hour...so it in truth decreases the number of culture who are actually employed while keeping payroll costs one and the same. Some businesses have tight margins & enjoy to keep a close eye on payroll costs.

It also (because of the increase contained by payroll costs...not only pay cheque but the employer's payroll taxes and such that go along next to the increase) drives up the prices of all the stuff we buy, which, imho can negate the effect of the increase within minimum wage.

Just a couple things to keep surrounded by mind.
No!

If you want a rise, you have to negotiate one beside your employer.
In a prefect world, yes. But we do not live in a flawless world so the real answer is no.
And why would you?
I don't chew over so, and with the minimal amount that it did step up, would it really matter if relations did? The minimum wage in this country sucks and any company that pays minimum wage to its personnel, should be shut down completely.
Is this a joke or is this for valid? The only those this helps are the ones who make minimum wage. There is not a salary rise for everyone even though that would be awesome.

What is the difference between a Nurse Practitioner and a Physician Assistant?

Question:
I am still trying to decide which job path to thieve. I am thinking that I would like to be in motion into obstetrics, neonatology, or a similar field. Can PAs do that as all right? Which school trail is better? I am not an RN, but I already have an unrelated masters. The NP program I am looking at is 3 1/2 years. The PA program is 2 years. Any thoughts? Thanks!!

Answers:
Two popular alternatives to becoming a physician hold been Physician Assistant (PA) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) programs. Both positions are usually obtain after completing advanced training, generally a two-year program. Each specialty provides the opportunity to see individual patients and to provide straightforward clinical health support. Both offer the opportunity to prescribe medication (depending upon state regulations), and order diagnostic test in the treatment of their patients. What is the difference? While the professions own similarities, they are also diverse tracks of health comfort and have adjectives underlying philosophies to training and practice.

The greatest difference between the two fields is an underlying philosophy toward patients and disease. PA's come out of and are trained within a medical model. Their training is very similar to that of a physician because, from the outset, they be seen as an extension of the physician, not as a replacement for the physician or as a different type of independent practitioner. The medical model define health as the absenteeism of disease and the focus is on the treatment, cure and management of disease. The model have a biological focus and tends to look at the symptoms and not the social and behavioral cause of illness.

In clinical practice, the most important differences between PAs and NPs are the practice setting and the requirement of supervision. Over 80% of physician assistants work in department, hospital or ambulatory care settings while approximately 45% of nurse-practitioners do. This contained by great part to the differences contained by the philosophical foundations and the fact that while over one-half of the states allow nurse-practitioners to practice minus supervision, all physician assistants are required to be supervised by a physician. A PA's duties are delegate by the supervising physician within the flexibility of the physician's practice and the PA's training and experience. Both PAs and NPs can prescribe medication (subject to authority by the state) and order medical test.
i dunno, but my dad's a physician assistant.
Both a Physician Assistant and a Nurse Practitioner work under the supervision of a Medical Doctor. But a Physician assistant can get hold of his degree from a 4 year college. A Nurse Practitioner usually starts stale as an RN, which takes 2 yrs, or 4 yrs beside a bachelors degree. I assume you have to hold a BS first. Then go into the Nurse Practitioner program. They both probably both hold the same practice, but from my experience, a Nurse Practitioner is more compassionate towards patients because she has be a nurse and worked bedside. PA's can be like MD's and own NO bedside manners, and can be rude at times.
There is alot of debate on this subject of who has a "higher" position: An NP or a PA.

I enjoy actually never seeen a PA contained by Neonatology, but I have see several NeonatalNP (which is a specialty area of NP's, but you hold to go to a college that has that specific program).

Since you hold a Masters in another area, there are frequent direct-entry NP programs where you graduate beside your MSN. These are very accelerate programs, but since you already have an advanced scope, you know the drill of graduate school.

PA's are a bit different...They actually do a residency (although short), while an NP does clinical time beside another NP. The PA's do their residency with an actual physician and own a broader practice area than NP's.

PA's usually enter PA academy have BS degree in Chemistry or Biology...though some will purloin you after you complete your junior year of undergrad, but it's almost impossible to get admit b/c priority is given to those that already have a BS.

I would in reality find it hard to believe that you could find a PA program that be less time than a NP program...to be precise one of the major reason why may women do NP programs b/c the PA's are much longer.

Not sure if that helps or not.

Interview request for information (greatest weakness)?

Question:
my greatest weakness. I hold an interview today and I wanted to vote that.. my weakness is that I consistency like its my responsibility to cram every all I can in the region of the company and how jobs are capable. when I worked at my last livelihood.. (example).

Any ideas, opinion? Thanks

Answers:
You're speaking of "weakness",
Your statement sounds like a strength.

Early on, MY lowliness was trying to do too much by myself.
I have to learn how to contract out more tasks to others.
The difficuly that I had be allowing them to make their mistakes and afterwards critique their work.
It was easier and faster to do it myself. I have to learn self-control when teaching others. Then I be able to contract out confidently.
I have interviewed 100's over my work. Those are the stock sort of questions, greatest strengths, weakness, etc. The main point is just foreboding you out, seeing how you might fit with the company - I'm assuming this is a headship or a professional type job. It's vital to understand how okay you might work in a troop and things like that. Your academic or work history has already be checked. Your answer I didn't care for because it sounds too planned, made up and what I would expect to hear.
You should voice your greatest weakness is interviews. You should right to be heard that although you know you would be great at the job, you find yourself becoming fidgety in the interview process.

That instrument, they will see you are really not that nervous, so as a result , your worst weakness is not that doomed to failure!
keep it brief, ultimate job should be contained by an other area,do not ramble on
I resembling the answer
it turns into a possitive in my book.
over adjectives that is the model, but make sure the possition call for up ward mobility,or you will be short term, you hold alot to offer pious luck brake a leg
It is unlikely that most interviewers are straining their ears to hear your list of weakness. They simply want to see how you handle the put somebody through the mill.

Some job candidate can get away next to an answer like,” While I indeed have weakness, I don’t believe I have any that are significant to the position. As you’ve described the position to me, I conjecture it would allow me to call upon my strengths.”

If you don’t surface you could pull that bad, name a inadequacy that is first, not closely related to the position for which you are interviewing, and second, a methodical skill that you can easily revise rather than a shortcoming contained by your personality, which is terrifically difficult to change. Then communicate the interviewer how you are working to improve your skinny spot.

Peace and blessings!
If they ask you, "how do you see that as a weakness", what would you say? I contemplate you should twist it a short time and say that you are an over-achiever, and that when things are not capable on time or the mode they were planned, you go and get frustrated. but afterwards if you don't they will be suspicious why not and keep an eye on you!!
If you recount them no, they will either not hire you, or will be looking for any excuse to fire you.
Why would you want to vote no? To impress an employer, you need to show he/r that you are dependible and worthy of a available job. The only path that you can prove that you'll show up on monday mornings is by a drug/alcohol test.
Oh sure, it is your route to say yes or no to drug conducting tests for a job. But the risk of not getting that position is greater if you don't drug testing. I hate that too--but specifically is kind of world we live surrounded by. I did refuse to drug question paper once and did not get the opening. They just said we will phone call you and never did.

Good luck!
Not if you wanted the livelihood.
Only if you are under 18. If not profusely of business require them before they hire you. They don't enjoy to hire you if you refuse. It's almost an access of guilt not to want to take one.
If you don't purloin the drug test you won't hold a job because the employer will believe your hiding something, so why wouldn't appropriate the drug test? Are you doing drugs, if so, don't even regard as about applying for that livelihood or any other.
Guess you could but then you probably won't own that job anymore.

Temp living ask, Please facilitate!?

Question:
I've been working on a temp duty with no uncompromising dead strip for 3 months now (I don't know if it will trun into perm or something esle, when I interviewed for the assignment, they never told me if this temp to perm. I took the job becasue I reallly needed the money and also i didn't want to depart from a big gap on my resume), The reward is not bad, however , I would prefer something permenant (so i can delight in the medical benefit, sick leaves and vacations). My question is very soon Is it appropriate for me to ask either my temp agency or the company i immediately temp how long the job will final? I am also actively looking for other permenatnt job as you would expect. I personally quality this job will not be turned into perm since I've told if you hold been to temp work for 3 months and they have not offered you anything. they probably won't.

Please abet any advise will be greatly appreicate.

Answers:
Since it is a temp duty, the agency would most likely abandon you before you are considered a regular hand, under the regulation, by virtue of your length of service.

Talk to your agency give or take a few your concerns. In the meantime, start looking for a permanent profession.

Peace and blessings!
It is unprofessional of a temp to ask the company itself, you need to push your temp agency to acquire it done. Usually you are free to the company after the 3 month period so you know. Most but for all temp agencies also grant health insurance since you are a full time hand working more than 32 hours a week. Their insurance is usually cheaper as well since in attendance are so many of you guys out here. Push your temp agent to see whats happening and after if they do not get you an answer ask your onsite supervisor what the probability are of you going perm. Good Luck and follow the protocol, since you dont want to burn any bridges.
It wouldn't hurt to ask if the company you're actually working for is intending to create your position permanent. At my current chore, I've been beside them perm for over 4 yrs and I was a temp for 10 months. There is not set contained by stone guidelines for if and when they will hire you every company and situation is different - Just ask them
You have to be diplomatic. Do not make clear to your employer that you are looking for another job except if you are the heart and soul of the company and if you are so outstandingly prized that you are an asset to them . You have a right to ask how long your current career will last.
Well, first rotten go backbone and look at the paper work and shift over it... Look to see if this is exactly a temp to perm. job... If you own additional question ask your temp agency... Then ask the employer if you are not getting anywhere and/or talk to the Human resources department...

moral luck
you are like a imperturbable at the united states post organization, but no unemployment when the charge ends.
The contract is with temp agency, the cut they get hold of is ok They find you work.

(the agency)they should have insentives
medical
leave
bonus
.the temp agency can send some one else to the temp career,if you are not happy next to this assignment.
I hope it turns out for you!
hire on in untried posssition at the company could be a possibility who hires(name of personel manager)the real business deal.do you have acces to the posting s for possition s?
Never bargain to the client yourself. If you do, then the supervior who signs your time sheet will call upon the agency that you work with and remove you from that assignment. Since the agency never mentioned that it be a temp-to-perm, it is best to continue penetrating on your own until you land one. Most of the time, the temp-to-perm surrounded by the agencies NEVER turn perm because the invoice to hire that temp costs too much. The only method you turn perm is some is leaving that company back your assignment ends.Good luck.
