URGENT!! Received Fab give from employer in a minute working for p/t but defining details aren't properly confirm
Question:
Rec'vd a verbal grant 4 a job f/t near an employer I now work 4 p/t. It's a completely diff work move -sales+ &admittedly I'm a little scared. That nervousness is not help by the fact that the representative "offer" letter hasn't arrived & some considerable details like specifically what I'd stipulation to do to make commission and where on earth I'll be staying (there's an apt included in the offer) still aren't spelled out. Another hold out is in the wing for the same lame item I'm doing now, but next to a bit more responsibility. I'm trying to step out of the box here and embrace a new footprints, but having come from really stable fortune 500 company background this carefree attitude is making me itchy. I'm excited in the order of the new opportunity and adjectives that it "potentially" offers, but I suggest it's fair for me to expect some really concrete answers. Negotation for this livelihood has gone fund and forth endlessly. Bef4 I decline the second present (deadline's today) should I give an ultimatum and request info today
Answers:
Unless your current position is contained by Sales and it is something you are really good at, I wouldn't even consider it. A company that doesn't rely on written agreements surrounded by this type of situation is not one I would trust.
If you are not sure of the stability of your company, and you are not prepared to weather the downturns -- just don't whip the chance. But if you are a risktaker, and when problems come your course you deal near them (and you dont' have someone relying on you) later go for the undertaking you really want.
Tell them you can't accept an donate you haven't seen in print. Ask them to fax the signed copy.
I would just update them that you need to see everything in black and white so that it's a little more concrete. adjectives that verbal crap is lately that!! crap. you need some not easy paper
IF you are Salaried, can they dock your pay packet if you set off two hrs precipitate for a Doctors appt?
Question:
I work over 40 hours a week alot, and I don't get remunerated O T
Can My Employer Dock my pay if I quit a couple hours early for a Dr Appt.? I thought Salaried intended Whether I work 38 hours or 45 hours I get equal pay
Answers:
Yes and no.
If your company have a plan in place for sick go away, vacation or PTO, later they can require you to use that in place of regular retribution for time off.
But, they can't dock your reward if you are a true exempt employee.
If you are in actuality non-exempt, but paid via remuneration, then, yes, they can dock your recompense for hours missed. But if you are non-exempt they have to wage overtime for all hours worked over 40. The employer can't own it both ways.
They can't dock your pay since you don't brand a specific amount per hour to dock. So they have no amount that way to point at and utter "You cost the company this amount of money". They can, however, say that you cost the company contained by some other way if they choose, one which will apply, and dock you suitably.
The action they bring to accommodate the loss can be one of taking away sick time or such, or even monetary loss on your module, which they would likely get your hands on by removing it from your paycheck. So in that sense they would be docking your income, so to speak, but the amount they would take out wouldn't be base on an hourly amount that you make.
they can dock your retribution if you did not receive approval to leave untimely.
All salaried workers are exempt. They cannot dock your pay for that.
This is an interesting nouns. They can require that you put in a minimum amount of time per sunshine, is my understanding. You really have need of to seek the counsel of a qualified attorney. You may want to try your local law conservatory, as this is a pretty small case at this point. Unless it have been occuring frequently.
Several years ago, some fellow workers of mine filed a suit base on this similar situation. However, we worked for a 24 hour business and one person be docked for putting in her hours overnight (she couldn't find a qualified character to do this) instead of doing it during the day.
Everyone who be ever docked for not putting in the right hours be given a bonus check, but I am not sure of all the details -- I be pretty young consequently.
What did you seize your amount within and what did you wrapping up up doing?
Question:
I'm about to finish my masters contained by public administration and I have a sneaking suspicion that I wanna be a mortgage broker.
Answers:
How funny! I started in a Master's of Public Administration program and switched my focus to Health Care Administration (MHA). I did internships while earn my degree and although I like the classes, I did not like the internships nor the job that would be available to me upon graduation. I received my MHA in 1998 and beside 40k in debt I granted that I wanted nil to do with the industry - I followed my "passion" and go to work as an event planner. I was horrible (and miserable) at event planning, get fired and ended up working at a hotel as a sale manager. Loved sale, but didn't like hotels. I leveraged my MHA and hotel sale job and wound up surrounded by Pharmaceutical Sales; leveraged my Pharmaceutical Sales job and very soon work in lucrative Medical Sales and LOVE MY JOB. Who know that the MHA (which I hated at the time) would expand doors for me down the road?? Bottom line: everyone have a path, some newly aren't as direct as others. If you want to be a mortgage broker, go for it! You might love it, you might abhor it, but at least you'll know.
Good Luck!

Question:
Assume little professional experience, 6 months of intership for the position desired, four year degree contained by Marketing with 3.5 GPA, and is smart, determined, zealous, and creative.
Answers:
It really matters what city we're discussion about here. Around here (Cincinnati, OH) you would be looking at roughly speaking $50,000. If you're in California or New York, you should probably double that numeral.
There are websites where you can find free stipend info. That will be able to answer your request for information better. It will use actual salaries that other folks in same/similar job in your nouns make.
I lately graduated and get my first job and I compared my propose to an informative salary site. It be very accurate.
Whenever at hand is a reference to a "6 month of internship," it's a "red flag" that the 90-day probationary length for "trying" you out has be extended to a "6-month of intership." Before getting excited about this commission opportunity, ask the employer one simple question: "Am I an "exempt" hand or a "non-exempt" employee. If you are an "exempt" member of staff, you will be given a lot of opportunity assignments which will extend well-over the 40-hour week and sometimes may incur your working on weekends and the outcome in your earnings is simply . no compensation whatsoever since the employer can work you any length of hours, any time of the week and they don't have to compensate you for adjectives this extra "managerial" training or actual on-the-job performance. So, beware of those "exempt" clerical job opportunity, since they really don't compensate you in the long tug and in copious cases you are working well below the federal minimum wage per hour! And the other disturbing follow-up phrase "is smart, determined, zealous." reimforces the suspicion that this managerial opportunity is a "factory" "exempt" employment offering.
Good luck!

Sorry I can't be of more minister to. It's pretty impossible to determine that information. There are 50 states with their own circuit and state courts. That's contained by addition to adjectives of the federal courts. We're talking hundreds of court jurisdiction.

A cover letter is a communiqué you write describing what position you are applying for and a brief note on your skills and experience that is to say best suited for the job that you are applying for.It is a note which kinda makes an employer desire whether he wants to look at your resume. So you usually get the most convincing pitch in the cover notification.

How much concentration should I offer when I check out of my current employer?? ...see below for details.?
Question:
I've been next to this company 6 years and my Boss has be nothing short of a dictator to work for. I travel regularly for work and just found out ultimate week he has be shorting me .6 cents per mile for the last 2 years on my expense reports. I travel roughly 30-40,000 miles per year for work, so do the Math. He is trying to take away with not paying me even though I own an email from our company's HR Manager telling me what our current mileage rate is. I do most of my Bosses work to start with no gratitude or even a well-mannered raise year to year. He take on average 2-3 months to get my expense checks compensated, makes me travel something like 90% of my job so he doesn't own to, and complains like a child when I miss 1 hours of daylight of work. I got a fresh job Thank God and will be disappearing within 2 weeks. I'm inclined to not inform my current boss I'm going away so I can get my ending 2 weeks paid and capture my expense checks, I'm afraid he may try to not pay me but for. No notice is my plan, what do you dream up?
Answers:
In a perfect world you should try to dispense at least a 15-day consideration. And I understand your concerns, trust me, it is really frozen, but remember that there are law and regulations for work issues. If you feel that they enjoy taken advantage for the situations and you don't acquire paid as it should, you should sue them for not paying you according to the law.
Hope that this works for you and best of lucks on your new opportunity.
I'd check your contract, i've newly walked up to that time and lost pay and perk's
i would still steal the high road and donate the customary 2 week notice. you should still be compensated even if the boss lets you shift immediately and unsurprisingly you are still entitled to your expenses. keep within touch with an H.R. rep at your current employer. also, check beside your H.R. rep and see what can be down about the shorting of the mileage reimbursement. do you own copies of all of your mileage statements and reimbursement receipts?
Wow don't you hatred working for jerks? You are supposed to bestow at least a 2week identify on some jobs. Look surrounded by your employee manual, mine says at most minuscule 7 days, so they may vary. If you want to be off in suitable standing so to speak you have to exit a notice. But individually if I had a profession already and I wasn't planning on working for them anymore..ever, I would do what I had to do to obtain my pay and expense checks. Ultimately, you are going to hold to decide which is best for you. The method he's been acting, he may try to stiff you again.
If you enjoy the information you say you hold, take it to your HR department, and your bosses boss. He can return with the company in like mad of trouble for doing that, and it's not worth it to the company to keep someone close to that around.
As for notice, you aren't obligated to grant any notice at adjectives unless you signed a contract that specifies some sort of date in it. It is, however customary to present two weeks notice. Of course, if you enjoy vacation time, you can newly give mind, then pilfer your remaining vacation time from that point forward.
Again, your boss can't rightfully get away beside not paying you for work you've done (unless it was overtime that you're not salaried for) so I wouldn't worry much give or take a few that.
Take your records to the payroll department, though and find out why you weren't getting compensated correctly for your mileage. They may be able to fix it and afford you a nice fat check as a going away present.
merely leave and dont bequeath any notice. uve already be hired by the new cxompany so u dont owe them anythign contained by terms of reference. i think for your own benefit of not missing out on ur paycheck preserve it to yourself. u dont want to risk loosing out on possible pay.

gizza job!
Your resume should conduct your cover letter, that's adjectives.
In your cover letter you should state something close to, " References, certificates and any other information you require, shall be promptly provided upon request."
If you seize called within for an interview, make sure to bring references(personal and business) and any cert's you might own.
If you'd like, e-mail me and I'll dispatch you a copy of my CL to use for an example.
Good luck
I'd keep it short and simple similar to Mel says, as hopefully your CV will include details of how you touch you are interested in and suitable for the role. If it doesn't, consequently you'll need to bestow this detail in your covering missive.
Use the covering letter to emphasise how your current work experience ties into the charge that you are applying for. Don't write too much & always form sure you spell check it!
I think Reed's website have a template... although I've not looked at it in ages.
