Help me find this this federal goverment situation?

Question:
I've applied for a job near the Federal Reserve. I know the job is exceptionally competitive; however, I’m very qualified for the mission both through my professional work experience and my education degree. I have a master’s amount from a USA accredited University and the scope is directly related to the job. I've learn that getting a government errand is somewhat dependent on who you know inside. As an extremely proud US citizen, I want to do everything I can do to at least catch an interview. I need abet, here, can anyone please tell me or guidance me what I can do to at least acquire an interview. What have you done contained by the past that serve you get an interview? The agency say "no calls please". I know this nouns crazy, but I’m thinking of writing the top most manager of the department. All I necessitate is an interview. Please give polite and courteous guidance.

Thanks
JI

Answers:
The federal hiring process isn't quite impossible to tell apart as applying at a local business. Did you follow each of the requirements within the announcement? You completely answered all of the question in the KSAs and submitted adjectives the required paperwork? No substitutions, no "interview" paperwork. Federal applications must be completed in full or your application won't engineer the first screening.

While you may be fully qualified under the conditions surrounded by the announcement, you are competing with status candidate (current federal employees) and veterans, both of whom receive hiring preference points. Calling or submitting a "please interview me" note probably won't help.

Having a masters scope means you qualify for above a GS-7 rating and better. If you have applied for anything below that, you're over-qualifed and won't return with interviewed. All federal jobs are competitive everywhere. Getting your foot contained by the door will help you move up and across the procedure. Good luck...
If you have a great resume and are very well qualified for the job, I'm sure you won't hold a problem getting the interview. However, I just needed to mention something. Federal Reserve is not a government agency per se. And you don't really hold to know anyone "inside" to get a position next to them. It is pretty much the same resembling applying to any other bank. Wish you luck!

Yesterday, I have an interview, at a temp agency. The hiring superintendent kept badger me more or less my discouraging insinuation.

Question:
The hiring manager never checked out my reference, but insisted that they were bleak. Then she kept asking me if I was frustrated in the region of my job turn out three or four times. Throughout the whole interview she be abusive, and insisted that my pains of job inquiring would get me nowhere, and that a run of the mill person can catch one job surrounded by less than 3 months of questioning. Then she kept asking me what was wrong near me. Then she told me she was massively picky about who she hired, but even so she called me into an interview. Can anyone make available me advice as to why she acted approaching this?

Answers:
It sounds very unprofessional how she conducted
herself. I would turn to another temp agency to find
work.

John 17:3
I think thats her frustraition filter out on you a little, she may not be glad where shes at and you merely happend to be that guy that day at that time, of late keep questioning, hell I've had Job offer over the last 90days but the differance is what they payment versus what I need to be salaried, it does one no good to lug an all commision position if they are already contained by one and looking to get out of it
No thought. I have encounter this situations many times and I hold no good impressions beside job agency at adjectives. They waste my time, puts my ego down, strike doubts over everything I said...do I need to speak more? To hell with them!! Those dumb dumb devise they so good they can do doesn`t matter what f*ck to the candidates.

So, foreboding better?

To be fair, in that are also good agents out nearby. I have met those too. A pity, the industry cannot retain the worthy ones and those black sheeps stay in the team game.

Can college class work count as work experience?

Question:
I am writing a cover letter for a profession writing grant proposals. I own not written grant proposals per se, but I be required to write research proposals for one of my advanced level psychology courses. Can I chitchat about this surrounded by my cover letter/application and count it as work experience? I am a recent college grad who went straight into a master's program, so I don't hold much actual work experience.

Answers:
You can talk just about it as long as you state that you have similiar experience writing proposals and next summarize what youve done. Never give stale the impression youve done it 100% but when you interview volunteer to explain exactly what you did and how it relates.

Everyone embellish just a short time bit but when you land the interview be confident and explain what you penny-pinching.
talk roughly what you'd like only just don't mislead the situation, it's a cover letter.

only don't list it as what it is not - put it as school experience or mention it in your CV if applicable.

my not conversant opinion. Do mention you do hold knowledge of the subject event though, if applicable.

Good luck hun.
include any internships that you may have done.

polite luck :)

I'm quitting?

Question:
well more similar to, my employer upset me enough that i'm a short time ago not showing up ever again. will my final paycheck be mailed to me? or can they merely keep it and not make available it to me. how does that work? i work for a walgreens in texas.

Answers:
walgreens does not post them, you have to walk in here. But just bid them when you know someone you get along near is working and see is you can get along beside the manager thats working at the time.
They won't e-mail it unless you request it. Send your request to the home company and explain why you are quitting, otherwise your reputation will suffer.

Texas may be somewhat different than the actual United States...
Should be mailed to you, or I don`t know you can pick it up where you used to work at.
They are required by tenet to pay you, but they do not own to mail it to you unless you request it. Give a written request to the store you worked at to letters your check, noting the address you want it mail to. In TX, they must pay you your final wages by the subsequent regular payday.

I be hired full time 40 hours a week and required to work every other weekend.?

Question:
Now I have be working most weekends off near an extra day sour during the week. I'm in the alliance and this was not a requirement when I be hired. How do I get every other weekend rotten again?

Answers:
You are union. Talk beside your steward, that's why you pay dues.
It sounds as if that be the requirement when you were hired!
In your query you have said that, you be required to work every other weekend, that means you agreed to do that.

You don't hold to work any more than you agreed in the starting point but, your job could become at risk though, because it sounds to me that your employer involve your services at weekend.
Maybe your employers own got extra instructions to complete if they can't deliver these orders on the dot, the company could lose those orders, if they lose those advice, their may not be enough work for everybody within the long term.

I would simply dance to my supervisor/Manager and deal beside the issue, don't go to the federation companies don't like employee's going to the Union beforehand speaking to them first.
Another thing you could do is try to do paperwork your weekend that you want to go out when you wont be working.
Just a suggestion
Good Luck.

What do you focus to this category of situation?

Question:
I work in a mrdd group home. i dont own a degree. closing week i noticed this resident wasnt walking right. i said something and she concluded up being taken to the ER. It turned out to be cellulitis. They give her an antibiotic and sent her home. monday she hadnt improved and a coworker told our dear sweet nurse that the resident needed to any go to a nursing home or the hospital since we didnt enjoy the means to look after her. the nurse only just looked at her like she be a dumb idiot and didnt pay any attention. Today i get a call from my coworker adage that the resident had be held back from workshop and that her primary dr said he looked-for her to be addmitted to the hospital as the antibiotic wasnt working and the infection was spreading throughout her entire body (not to meantion its consagious) not more that an hr after that my coworker called me stern and said that the nurse, the qmrp, and the manager have superceded the dr and decided to save her at the group home and try her on a

Answers:
I used to work for an agency, too, and can fully understand your frustration. As a hand on care benefactor you have a responsibility to the resident to ensure that she get the proper care she requirements and deserves, There should be a hotline number posted somewhere in the residence to telephone call in reports of abandon and/or abuse, if in attendance isn't check the phonebook. This situation sounds like carelessness, expecially since the qmrp and the administraters are going against medical advice from the physician. Call it contained by - the calls are annonymous. Your heart is contained by the right place.
If you are able to find any ancestral contact info for this patient, phone them asap and tell them what you mentioned here. You can stay anonymous if you misgivings retribution from the staff-situation there sounds unpromising
My mother used to volunteer as a state Ombudsman. She and her coleagues were responsible for checking on the keeping of people resembling this woman. In many cases, she get information from the nurses or underlings whos opinion were without being seen. You can find out who the ombudsman is in your nouns and ask them to check into things. They are all volunteers and won't mention that you reported anything.
Your higher-ups are playing next to fire on this one. Even if it costs you your job, call upon 911 and get the resident the appropriate protection! Not only is it the right point to do, it will save her life span; diabetics who don't eat, die. I'm sure they'd a bit have you skip the chain of command than earnings out a fortune in trial bills and settlement for a wrongful death suit. Oh, yeah, be sure the "nurse" get reported to the state nursing board for medical malpractice and ethics violation, too.
For one they are putting this residents life surrounded by danger and I totally think through the nurses ignoring Dr. advice. I am a CNA at a small hospital. I wouldn't let her drink to much sea that can make the cellulitis even worse especially since she is a diabetic. Sounds close to this place needs to be turned within I don't know to who maybe the State Board of doesn`t matter what state your in.
You can find it on your computer though and produce a complaint, if you think this is carelessness. I do.
I have just one question for the asker: where on earth is your facility located? What state are you in? This is invective of the most monsterous sort- that patient could vastly well die if she isn't given some proper attention to detail. She may die anyway, from neglect, and if this happen, I would look to my own future and obtain the hell out of there up to that time there is a lawsuit file against the home and agency where you work. I'm sorry you hold to see and be involved in this- it sounds close to you are very faithful and care seriously about the race you work with. Good luck.

No work calendar?

Question:
I'm 17 and I work at a Quiznos and been working here for over a month now or so, segment time. My manager usually in recent times tells me when to work and tell me when my days off are. Now its the summer and it seem to be a ***** trying to set things up with friends and stuff, not knowing ahead of time of my days rotten. I have asked my coordinator twice in times gone by to give me some sort of programme ahead of time but instead she'll only let somebody know me a few days in mortgage. It's driving me nuts! =/ How should I go almost this situation?

Answers:
just quit your opening
Wow, I can't believe that she does not do a weekly schedule ahead of time. She must not be markedly organized at all. Does she do that for everyone?

I would ask for a weekly rota, if she does not give you one afterwards give your two week mind. I would also immediately start looking for another employment, because I doubt that she will change. Why don't you try Subway.
Thats a sign of discouraging management. If this is of late a summer job and partying beside your friends is important - you can simply put up beside her or leave.
Check your state's law. In some states (maybe all) there is a statute that they have to provide your agenda so many days contained by advance.
This is really unmerited. Next time she schedules you, you could give an account her you already have plans. I guess it depends how inadequately you need this available job. If she doesn't put you on the schedule, does that tight you aren't a real member of staff? Does she pay you underneath the table? I have a response there's something fishy going on here, or she wouldn't treat you differently than the other employees.

Landlord & tenant canon?

Question:
A landlord or his agent cannot help yourself to away a facility or amenity that the tenant has enjoy the use of during the period of the said residence...Are there any decriminalized persons out here who can confirm this for me ...I would really appreciate a concrete answer. Fred lloyd.

Answers:
Unless the amenity in request for information is included in the lease, yes they can pocket it away, like if you're discussion about closing the pool or a rec room or something resembling that.
Landlord/tenant laws totally widely by state, but in my state WA we can. An amenity is newly that, an amenity. "something that conduces to comfort, convenience, or enjoyment" It is not part of your rent. You rent the living nouns of your apartment, not the amenities. Especially if there are perfect reasons item are taken away, such as needing repaired or they are destabilized the owner has the right to protect himself from lawsuits.
I agree beside both forum member responses.

Good luck!
The hotelier can give or thieve any amenity he wishes if its not written into the lease.

Tescos lost millions? are you glad because of the road they treat you or treated you as an member of staff ?

Question:

Answers:
I never been employed but i know relatives who have, and it is horrendous they way they treat organization, one of my mates collapsed under the weather at work got taken to hospital and be fired for it. they got their charge back due to unmerited dismisle, reoprt any crap they give you to trading standards or someone along the lines! NOT THE TESCO WORKERS THOUGH!! they will only say no and won't follow up or anything
no!!
i close to tesco!!
I bet its a disgruntled customer appalled at the quality of their food - do yourselves a show partiality towards, shop at Asda.. Cheaper and more choice too..
Tesco is better than the supermarkets they have here within Aussie
i have never worked at hand
No.. From what I have hear a criminal act have taken place why would you be "Glad" about that?
If you don't close to Tesco then jump elsewhere
Tesco may have lost millions but dont verbs
as they will increase prices and recover the money lost.
They are within business to make money and they will do anything to complete it.
Much cheaper at Asda. :)

"Saturday had be designated a national day of handling against Tesco by animal rights groups, including vegetarian campaigner Viva. Viva complained the store had be selling live turtles at outlets in Chile."
No I'm not glad and how can you speak such a thing what next to the climate we live in for terrorism contained by this country do you not think the emergency services may enjoy been needed within an real emergency instead of person deployed on a wild goose chase.

No if we the member of the public or an employee have a gripe about Tesco lately think we enjoy the choice to shop elsewhere and the choice not to work at Tescos. However, I do not condone the way most of these supermarkets treat their staff. (it's not newly Tesco who is guilty of this by the way). However, I have to say-so I think it is obscene the money Tesco is making.
i used to work for Tesco and they be not supportive of me when I was past its sell-by date sick with post natal depression, surrounded by fact they sack me! There was also a male who worked on the fish counter who had a heart attack and definitely because he couldn't clock off they made sure they docked his pay cheque from the minute he went to hospital !!
It take two to tangle alright, but within real duration, we sometimes fail even when trying the best. It does not please me contained by any way - first of adjectives the employees previously have a job to rouse up for, now to find themselves wake up to no job is it self not a pleasant piece.

I think u should be asking for any suggestions to some extent than glad or otherwise. The involved should be willing to purloin a step into making some changes resembling investigations on how things might have happen not in the nouns direction. Already here some people connotation on weak (very poor communication) points of Tescos, a correct thing if they transport it positively. They should be willing to appropriate course studies to acquire new thinking. Things should be okay again.
As I have never be an employee it does'nt bother me for that... but ! as someone who is interested within business and pro-independant businesses...

YES ! I'm glad...

these Supermarkets are getting bigger and bigger... selling more buying in bulk - something that independant shops purely can't do ! the independats then inevitability to raise prices surrounded by order to win by...

The supermarkets say they are creating job but they are ending more ! shopkeepers are losing their business - and surrounded by turn their staff are losing their job.

And tesco is bringing surrounded by those electronic checkouts ! (which by the way I don't use) because within the end they wont want checkout operators of late people to examine the machines. (I did'nt used to believe it when they said machines were going to pilfer our jobs but it does look that method for some jobs !)

It is much nicer to work contained by an independant shop with a few staff member who are work friends and all know respectively other - and al the staff know their regular customers too !

...Tesco and large companies resembling that just see you as a number they grudgingly hold to pay minimum wage to.
I'm no hand, but I'm glad because I wrote 4 letters to Head Office and did not gain ONE reply from them. So rude.
I left Tesco not long after 14 years. Overall I was treated particularly fairly and look rear at my time there next to fondness.

Yes their profits are high but their sale are massive. They only construct about 6% profit on respectively item sold.

There are so many competitors Sainsbury, Asda, Morrisons, Somerfield, M&S, Waitrose.

You give the impression of being to have a physical British problem. When someone does too well we Brits try to verbs them Tesco, Beckham, BT...
Sorry, I thought Tesco was a upright employer..when I was over here, they made huge profits and gave a crucial share to employees..never be down on Tesco, they are the common sense Brits can afford to eat...freshly imagine if Sainsberrys set the pricing for the country..Tecos have kept the cost of food down and they should be respected rather than scorn...well adopt for the fact they give money to the Labour Party.
I work at Tesco and have to enunciate theyre the best employer Ive had to date! Seriously! Im at Head Office and they treat their staff really all right. :) I dont think the amount theyve lost will own really made an impact as theyre so widespread in this day and age, plus the reason trailing the stores closures (is that what youre talking about) is unknown :) Have a accurate day!

Can you over dress for an interview?

Question:
i always believed you should dress the course you will dress for the position.

but, i just have an interview for a different department at my company. they work in an department environment, i am on the floor with the public right immediately.
so i dressed casual, not picnic unflappable, but dress pants and shirt, unfurl collar, no tie.
the interviewer, (a supervisor) as well as the others within the office be dressed like me. i be given a tour of the area where on earth i would be working, along with my duties. i be introduced to the manager, he wore a shirt and tie. the position i considered necessary would be entry level.
i didnt take the job, but they are expanding soon so i want to be all set for next time.
should i own worn a suit and tie ? can you overdress ?

Answers:
I don't know if this is the reason that you did not achieve the job. But, it is other better to be overdressed than dressed too casual surrounded by a corporate environment. A suit and tie screams that you are professional regardless of which available job you interview for. If your attire was an issue, subsequent time when you wear a suit and tie, they would not even question your appearance because they presently know that you are able to deliver a professional appearance. They could a short time ago base their decree on your skills and experience.

When I was contained by college and took a job dig out seminar, they said only time you could overdress or surrounded by which a suit or tie would be too much is if you are working in a social work grazing land ...like possibly with problem teens and perchance that attire would be too intimidating, but if I remember, I think they be referring to when you work on the job, not during the interview.

Good luck to you, you nouns very motivated. You still nouns optimistic despite the reality you did not get the opportunity. I wish I have your perseverance. You will stir far.
Wear the suit and tie.
It sounds pretty shallow to think you obligation to dress up to interview with another dept., but that could be the overnight case in the corp world. What would it hurt to cart a tie for the interview if you are worried.
you should have worn the suit and tie
If you didn't draw from the job, it is not necessarily due to the method you wear dressed. However, for your next interview I guess you to dress surrounded by formal business attire. That way you will not make available them a reason to dismiss you. I thought that this site help me for my interview, maybe it will aid you.

http://articles.directorym.com/executive...
yes, you can overdress for a interview. you want to dress for the position. What you wore was upright, b/c the people interviewing you wore the samething. there's nought wrong w/ wear a suit and tie, but if you walk surrounded by and feel overdress, you can dress down by taking past its sell-by date the jacket and ditching the tie. The manager that wore the shirt and tie probably be in the mood to wear that for that time.
Always, always wear a suit and tie to an interview.

Question:

Answers:
Yes, there is within every state. If you're hourly (non-exempt) you get time and a partly for overtime. Exempt employees usually obtain comp time but there's no law requiring it.
If Tony's asking markedly, yes.
Yes, anything over 40hours, some jobs if they enjoy a contract it may very.
The answer to your query is: Yes, there is such a article.
Of course, that doesn't mean your available job is required to pay you overtime as near are many positions and professions that are exempt from the requirement.
For example, attorneys that work through temp agencies on an hourly foundation are not obligated to be paid "time and a half" for overtime hours. While paralegals that work alongside them are remunerated overtime. The reason is that OT recompense does not extend to "professionals". If the lawyer's title is changed to Juris Doctor, then they should bring OT pay.
