In my experience, nothing works.
I indicate who wants to own gaps contained by their resumes. Not me, not you. When we are looking for a job, within are interviews, job questioning process, writing up a resume, waiting for news, rejection, etc. take up time. Assuming that the HR do not sent your resume to the trash bin, only the employer who infer that gaps is a vastly normal piece will hire you. Otherwise, no matter what strategies you hold, if the other party own already form an opinion of you, nought you do will helps.
the first issue is why is in that a gap surrounded by your resume, is it because you were within school, how big is the cavity? were you fired from the career before the distance, essentially, do you have a lawful reason for the fracture that doesn't signal you as an employee they wouldn't want to hire. Should I switch on my job next to a local CPA firm or a reputable corporation?

I am about to finish my master's scope in accounting, and I am considering two position offers. One is from a justly strong corporation as a financial analyst, the other is with a local CPA firm as an auditor. The local CPA firm pays for the CPA Exam prep course (over $2,000 expense) but the corporation does not. I come up with the potential to earn more and gain more experience and responsibilities faster is better with the CPA firm. I turned down offer from the Big 4 because of the excessive hours associated with those opportunity. I am not in a position where on earth I can travel and work the kind of hours demanded by the Big 4, but I could fit contained by well near the local CPA firm and the pay is especially similar. The CPA firm seem to be the better starting place. In addition to paying for your prep course, I'll of late bet they provide a lot of back-up and support while you study. I feel you'll get more personal attention in that. (I wouldn't work Big 4 schedules any!)
It used to be that Big 4 experience was a huge plus on a resume, but contained by the post-SOX world, smaller CPA firms are equally, if not more, attractive to hiring companies. The most critical things are passing the Exam and getting the most out of the experiences on your audits.
