CT Unemployment Question RE: Eligibility?

Ok, so I'm totally going nuts trying to get straight answers in the order of unemployment. I work surrounded by a position where within is a one-year working test time of year, and it is up in more or less a month. My employer has notify me that I will not be employed beyond this period, due to the certainty that they just don't devise I'm a good fit for the agency. (no willful misconduct) They hold offered me an opportunity to resign rather than hold the working test term failed, only just so I can still say I've never be terminated.
CT law states that you can be denied benefits if you're fired for willful misconduct or if you quit lacking just lead to attributable to the employer.
I tried calling DOL, and he just kept repeating "any way, you'll requirement to attend a hearing." "The lone way you won't own to attend a hearing is if you're let go." I get it... I wanna know, if the employer tell me I won't have a situation in a month, is that a short time ago cause to quit, or will I probable lose my case?

If you quit, there's probably a highly developed chance of mortal denied unemployment comp than if you only wait for them to call a halt you. If you've already been notify IN WRITING that you won't be employed after the initial period is up, your overnight case would probably be pretty strong that you didn't just quit voluntarily, but if they purely told you verbally, after that wouldn't be very righteous evidence in a audible range.

Remember, things like singing can be done the side if you aren't competent at this point to make money doing them. Another silly and frustrating interview.?

Today, I went for a stupid interview for an admin post. I hold indicated in my resume adjectives my working experiences. However, the interview kept asking me if I have done [abc] or [efg] or [opq] up to that time, all of which I enjoy not done before.
I told him anything exp I have is adjectives in my resume and he told me to "hang about for a decision". Immediately, I know that the game is over.
I tight-fisted, what is this? Whether I fit their bill or not is so obvious from my resume. What is the purpose of a resume if the interviewer don't even look at them? I touch that it is a waste of my time asking me to step all the style down just to put in the picture me that I do not fit their requirements. So frustrating.
I just grain that they are so unprofesional. Would you be mad if you be in my shoes?

I mull over you're kind of wrong here. An interview is a conversation. They want to bring to know you and assess you as a person. Part of a conversation more or less a job prospect is discussion about your experience. chitchat about your situation. If you can't communicate that in individual, they should be looking at someone else quite frankly. I'd hold answers prepared. I do a lot of interviewing and I ask those these questions adjectives of the time. I want to hear about what they scholarly at previous positions. What they liked around them. i quit my old PT profession with a well-know co. 2 move 2 a more smaller co., i thought it would be better, it be in some aspects, however, we have so much tedious work to do, also i be told by the HR i would be getting tuition reimbursement (yes, i go to college),1 light of day i was really sick, my mediator saw that i was really sick on that afternoon, the next morning i told her i cant come b/c i was sick, she get really mad, btw this be my ONLY sick day from the starting of the 8 months i worked at hand! i had a build up of things inside me...she be a Bit-ch, and she made me do all the work, while some guy be wrapping hershey kisses 4 her clients! i did everything! after she yelled at me just about being sick...her and i come to the agreement i wanted to go away the job. she agreed, it be mutual, and i left,-in may. i realize that smaller co. r not better but they make u do they work, not spreading it out equally, they rely on u 2 much & they dont pass benefits 2 ppl, its been 2 months and i still cant find a

I am a hiring regulator, and I will say it does look desperate if you have have many job in a shrt concern of time. Of course the hiring manager have to take contained by account what the circumstances be. He has to lift in article if you were let go, or the company shut its doors. Your manager isnt the cause you cant get a profession. She is at a small company with no power, and you stated you quit volentarly. If a company did phone up for a reference she can not discourage them from hiring you as long as near were no policy violation.
If you are using her as a reference, likelihood are that you're not getting a good citation from her. Stop using her!
As far as having too abundant jobs on a resume, it make you look unstable as an employee. this scare many employer away. If you're a job hopper, afterwards you may not stick around too long after they invest in hiring you.

Having to oodles jobs is not discouraging but they will get for a while concerned but thats why they have the interview for when they ask u simply say aloud what happened. and for assignment suggestions if its really urgent and u need money very soon!! well purely about anything will do. try deliver pizza you will make tips plus what u return with paid. i very soon alot of guys who have their fulltime career in the morning and lately go parttime contained by the afternoons to make that extra buck. and also guys that budge to college do that work cuz on weekends you can easily label 50 to 100 on 20 deliveries plus ur wages check. i dont know. look into it. see if it helps u out and perfect luck!! =)

In my experience, the answer will depend on what you want for your future: profession development or a economically paid commission or a nice place to work, nice co workers, nice boss,etc. The thing is that you will only just get everything within the same collection. I worked in a respectable company full of horrible ethnic group, mediocre salary but a apt jump to seize a better job. Then I worked contained by a mediocre company, with a really good public photograph, and found the best co-workers that I have ever have. But I needed not only a better income but a career growth. Now I enjoy a very nice assignment, very all right paid, beside opportunities to grow inwardly this big company but... I am surrounded with backstabbing co workers. The most far-reaching thing is to be sure of what you want for yourself. Co workers, will come and dance, and if they are your friends they will stay with you, but the stability that a right job can bring could stay longer. I hope this help.

I've worked surrounded by jobs next to bad coworkers and sadistic manager. Believe me, having coworkers you carry along with and accurate management is a massively important perk. Is it really worth it to gain good payment if it effects your emotional strength to work with ethnic group you can't get along near?
If the differential in take-home pay was substantial, I would probably shift ahead. You have an even karma of getting co-workers who are just as nice as your present ones.
You didn't mention around your job responsibilities; the tangible deciding factor would be if you like your present position, and if it had a flawless career/promotion potential, instead of your colleagues.
If the pay be enough to clutch care of the bills I'd definately stay. I spend at lowest possible a third of my week at work, I wouldn't spend that much of my life doing something I didn't delight in just so I could earn a few extra dimes. Definatly not worth it to me. If I like my job, and enjoy being around my coworkers I'd enjoy reason to do more for the company employ me. In turn not only would I similar to my coworkers, but I'd earn a sense of accomplishment, and hopefully earn a few extra dimes that I knew be well worth the hard work.
Take the risk. I worked at a place where empire complained about nearby pay for years. One guy vanished and two years later they hired him final for $5000 more that the loyal employees who stayed be being rewarded.
It depends on the difference between the pay at the current place and the old place.
But, if the pay packet difference is not more than 20% then I'd stick near where I'm at, unless it may be lot better career-wise or something.

It depends on which you would be happier near and is there a wage difference.
After you own been on the profession 2 years you should be able to request a move to another department. You should deserve something after 2 years of service.
If you enjoy not missed a lot of work or be late you should grasp what you ask for.
As long as your work performance is devout, as long as your bosses are happy near you so far, I think that it might be a well-mannered idea- that is if doing laundry instead would form you happy.
When it comes down to it, it's more celebrated to do something that you can at least tolerate or approaching a little bit than to do something you loathe that pays more.

Which type of USPS carter serves suburban areas?

Been thinking about working for the USPS, but I'm not sure what type of carter I'd be looking to become. Checked out the official site and saw that here are city and rural carriers, but it's not clear to me which type would work surrounded by a suburban town (i.e. do "city" carriers serve strictly contained by urban areas).

They wear whatever they want and as a rule work the more rural areas of a community like sheep farm land and the outskirts of towns where on earth there are no sidewalks or walkway. They don't get out of their vehicle just drive up to the mailbox which is posted doing a tour for easier access.
My understanding is that the deliniation is contained by whether the USPS Mail Carrier drives one of the 'mail vans' on route (small, cargo van vehicle that's white near USPS insignia on it) vs. when the mail shipper drives their own vehicle.

Earn your point. I do agree with the first couple of responses - you across the world have better earn potential as a paralegal - but, having said that, near is no reason you shouldn't find a certificate (It's not usually a degree) as a staple tech and try your own business!
I also would warn you that most of the women who own staple salons work LOTS of hours - specifically key to becoming successful. You also may look into getting some business classes - things resembling hiring others and bookkeeping are as important to self successful as being competent to do the hands on work!

Uhh... if you single have one year gone, finish in paralegal, grasp a job as a paralegal, and after start working on taking some nail tech courses... or finish the bachelors contained by paralegal but stay enrolled long satisfactory to get a dual amount. But don't drop the paralegal degree when you're this close! It would be a spend foolishly, and you may need to fall down back on it someday.

Who says that you enjoy to give up your BA and current trunk in proclaim to open a pin salon? Finish up your degree, and lug cosmetology classes in the summer or at darkness. I am a medical assistant and I cant stand my job, I am getting equipped to go pay for to school and I be considering a career surrounded by nursing but I am worried that everything I hate in the region of my job is surrounded by nursing as well. Well, I hope you found something you approaching to do. I am a critical care nurse and I find everyday a treat with contempt and different. That is mainly because of the TYPE of nursing I chose and the place I chose to work. You can pick somewhere that everyday is impossible to tell apart or not. I am also lucky in that I work within a university hospital and so I do not have to promise with stuck up faculty/private doctors who treat nurses similar to peons. As for working with mostly women-that does bring to be quite a niggle. The good entity is more and more men are joining the field. However, that also comes near pros and cons. And as far as grumpy patients go...I find that most of the time they are severely appreciative-as long as I am nice to them. Good luck!
if you cant go and become anurse..nearby is more creativity than you think surrounded by nurses ..first of all you agreement with ethnic group even though mAny of them are only patients you still own plenty of rioom to add your 2 cents and offer them courage to go on living and adopt doctors medical treatment..its better work than dealing wheter or not the patient have an insurance plan .give it your best shot i imagine you will enjoy working next to co workers and especially doctors
I'm not a nurse but I work with them 8hrs a daylight. They are great people and own a passion to minister to, but I am yet to collect one that likes their commission. It is a lot of rock-hard work for little pay within comparison. Not much room for creativity. Patient to nurse ratios are pretty unpromising due to the shortage of nurses. And just close to it is in your post, the patients are not always so nice and neither are the physicians. This is simply some of what the nurses have told me that I work near. They say it's pretty stressfull. If you are fitting in sciences (which I imagine you may be as you are considering health careers) within are many other science base careers that you can do that will be more fulfilling than nursing.

I'm almost 40 years old and earn over 70,000 once a year in an computer programming occupation. Is it a good theory to change career at my age. A friend of mine finish an air conditioning tech conservatory program and is making good money. Your concerns are valid ones, but your money is probably better than what you would be making as an nouns conditioning tech, at least during the first year or so. Can you budge through the program without quitting or interfering next to your current job? If so consequently what would it hurt, unless you have other priorities?
Talk to the instructor and see what they hold to say going on for the program. They'll tell you if it's a virtuous field, how various jobs at hand are and what the true expected salary is.
If you still close to technology, consider a side or lateral career renovation, still in IT but not actively programming. Alternatives are tech sale ( not for everyone), teaching or your own business.
Trade school and blue collar trades, do not have a elevated income potential, you'll likely never construct $70K as an air conditioning tech , singular the folks who run those companies make that gentle of money. Blue collar trades such as hvac, are mostly run by small companies, so there's not a lot of money when you start as an apprentice, later working your way up you start hitting a reduce..
if you still like IT look into related field in other industries don't be afraid to filch a different job but that still involves tehcnology..

Sorry, but that's part of human being an IT person. There is no other place I know of to be exact going to offer that concerned of salary on average. But the illustrious salary comes at a price - if it be easy, everyone could do it, and after there would be no meaning to it.
What I am reading through the lines is that you're suffering some 'burn-out'. You might be working for a dysfunctional company that really doesn't care that you don't hold a life outside of your undertaking. I have worked for a few companies that hold been burned material bad by outsourcing, and won't move about out of the US or UK again anytime soon. Coporate execs look to outsourcing as a means to cut costs. What NEVER gets figure into the equations is language and cultural barrier - which even when the country speaks English as a good second verbal communication - are significant to overcome. Many, many companies own been really disappointed within their outsourcing efforts that be in motion above the call center even of expertise. So I really think that a flawless IT person does not enjoy much to worry something like, even in today's globalized cutback.
I guess it does make apt 'water cooler' chatter, however. But my extensive research shows that this is not something to loose sleep over.

I'm 27, I've be in IT for 7 years immediately (5 as a programmer, 2 as a sysadmin), well salaried... but after all these years a grew sick of it. Especially: 1- The static posture at the desk, 2- Reading, penetrating, designing on the screen adjectives day..
Unfortunately in attendance seem to be no method of getting out of these 2, except maybe as a trainer but for that you need convinced qualities. My plan at the moment is to trim down my IT work to half a sunshine and find another field to work within part time. Who know, that might newly be the solution. Sorry I'm not much help except compassion ;)
I am 47 and I don't be paid anywhere near that. Your priority right very soon should be creating residual income (well it sounded good), just surrounded by case you are doomed to failure at fixing air conditioners. I really can't administer you any better advice than that.

I currently work at Macy's but the pay nearby is absolutely HORRIBLE! I have need of more money!! Levitz also wanted me to come within for an interview but I never got to progress. I wanted to know if anyone worked near and knew how their recompense was, or, if you know any store that pays better, specifically contained by NYC?

I found that going into business for myself was the with the sole purpose way to hold control over my income. I earn money while spending more time with my family unit. I have found a approach to turn my vacations into PAYcations.
I found a really great company that I own my own on line travel agency through. The excise benefits are awesome for owning a home based business. The company that I am near is publicly traded and a member fo the BBB. They hold the best commissions, compensation plan, and the travel credentials are awesome. I have excellent support, training, and mentoring through the parent company. I love it!
Beware of the scam out there. Do your homework. There ARE legit companies to earn extra income from, but few and far between.

Wages are base on four things. Experience, knowledge, skills, and constraint. If you really want more money, get some training to upgrade your skills or go to arts school to get more education, or find out what jobs are surrounded by demand. Nurses currently can emergency very large wages because of the shortage. There will never be a demand for sale clerks because it does not require a lot of practice or skills.
I am always amazed to find that most sale clerks do not believe that the customer is always right and that the Dutch auction equals wages. No sales, no money to repay wages.
