Can my previous employer be the purpose I am have difficulties finding employment?

I previously worked for Planned Parenthood in Texas. I currently live within a small, college town north of Houston and am having unquestionably no luck in finding employment where on earth we currently reside. I go on and own really good interviews but am not chosen for the positions. Could the reality that my previous employer was Planned Parenthood be the purpose why I am not being hired? And, is within any way around this situation in need lying to prespective employers?
I do not want to uproot our line and move to a larger city but within two days of posting my resume within Dallas, I have already received an hoping call for an interview and it's be three months searching down here next to few interviews and still no job.
What do you come up with? Professional opinions greatly appreciated.
