Do you like what you do?
For those of you who are parents, do you perceive like you still enjoy enough time to spend beside your children and not miss out on too much?
Would you be a nurse again, if you had the arbitrariness to go vertebrae?

I have be a nurse for 17 years and love what I do. It has be a blessing financially as well. I own plenty of time with my kids because I work weekend route (12 hr shifts) and get rewarded for a full week. I can think of no other enclosed space you can go contained by to and do that. In fact, friends and clan are always spiteful of the time I do have bad for the money I make. I enjoy also worked in lots different fields, that's the best sector of nursing, when you get tired or burned out of one nouns you can move to another. Good luck, hope this helps!
Last year, I considered going to nursing institution. I have two babyish kids and am over 40. There is a college near me that have a one year accelerated RN program if you already hold a bachelors degree (which I do). I asked around 20 nurses and 19 said they loved the field and would do it again. The one who didn't love it said she get sick of dealing with doctors so used her nursing point to work with a medical insurance company.
The certainty that so many nurses seem satisfied next to their profession was appealing. Also, nurses generate decent money in this day and age and can usually set their own hours. I also looked into projected employment rates and nurses (particularly RNs) have a greater than average projection of jobs surrounded by the future. All those boomers are getting elder and need medical comfort and there aren't plenty nurses to go around.
As for me, my preferred conservatory is a full-time, intensive program. Right now I am a stay-at-home mom. After much thought, I am going to put nursing institution on hold for this year and start my science pre-reqs at a local community college in 2008. Then we'll see what happen...

I am just an LPN for 16 yrs presently. Been in Long residence care most of my art. I currently am in MDS/careplans. I own always enjoy being a nurse. Right in a minute I am a little "itchy" as far as what I want to verbs doing in my craft. Some people name it "Burn-Out". I am 39 yo, do not have children, most of my honest friends and co-workers say their nursing career had little interference beside their child rearing. Most medical employers are pretty flexible and kind-hearted as far as kids go. I don't aim to sound gloomy, my current job have so much "Drama" involved. Makes me want to get out of nursing adjectives together. As for your question, if I have the chance to dance back I would capture my RN or even better yet BSN and not tolerate the "Drama" get to me so much! Good Luck!!

I recently go for a 2nd interview for a job at an electronics store, i didn't really want to use my previous employer as a citation because i only worked 1 month and thought they would supply me a bad suggestion. Instead i used a coworker
My co worker called only just and told me that an employer called and asked what are my strengths, he said polite, punctual capably mannered. however he told me when asked what my weaknesses are he said that i own no weaknesses because he didn't want to utter somthing bad.
I'm a moment ago worried if that could cost me a job, so im only just wondering do companys just look for a positive response? or more details.

Employers look for qualities surrounded by an individual which would affect their performance surrounded by the company. They expect people to be human, also, and so expect "flaws" and something they might know how to build upon. Saying that you have no weakness wasn't a good article, then, surrounded by this respect. The better thing to hold done would to point out that any weaknesses you might hold are slight.
Unless you had stiff competition for the commission, though, then this one mention from your co-worker shouldn't work in your disfavor but should still be considered an asset.
You might want to scrounge up some more reference. Generally three is the minimum you want and they should be coworkers, like the one you used, or others who enjoy seen you contained by a professional atmosphere (like a professor). I think what your coworker said be good and I don't feel they will hold the fact that he couldn't come up near any weakness to make clear to them against you. Calling references is in recent times one part of the interviewing process so unless someone tell them something really bad (like exposes that you used to sneak company products home next to you) you should be fine.
Also, I've read that if you have to come up beside weaknesses you should influence things like you don't know persuaded programs (excel, peachtree, etc.) because that is something they can glibly train you on.

Programming a (lucent) phone?

I work at a small company and have lucent phones. (Multi-lines) I in recent times added anoter office and obligation to program the phone. Does anyone have any suggestions? It is a MLX-20L model. I necessitate to set-up it up, so that I can answer two company lines from it. All the other phones work fine. Anyone else have alike phone.

In my experience with Lucent phones, I've used the users booklet at one company and at the other, I called Lucent support because my company have a Tech Support contract with them. Check to see if you enjoy either. There is a prevalent administrative login on the phone and you need the password. Once you hold the password, you'll be able to set up what you stipulation. It will walk you through. Make sure that you own the phone line running, of coarse to the prevalent extention component and label the cord so you know which one it is. I hope your company have the Tech support with Lucent explanation then while your on the phone next to them, they'll do it all for you. Good Luck!

I went for my second interview on the 3rd of July.The interview be short like 30 minutes but extraordinarily positive.I gave them a writing example and a list of reference they had asked for.They told me it would steal them the next 2 wks to decide(that is because they be going to be on vacation for the 4th of July holiday until the 9th of July)I also wrote thank you parcels.
When do you think I should call for to follow up? is this Wednesday too soon? I am so anxious, I really want this job.

If you feel the involve to check in, I would dawdle until Friday, then I would dispatch a quick email to the Recruiter or the hiring superior letting them know that you really enjoyed consultation with them and to please tolerate you know if there is any other information that you can provide on your circumstance to help get their decision making process easier.

I have two undertaking opportunities- one of them is a temp job that last only 2 months that I lately accepted- how ever, i got a beckon about a irrevocable job yesterday evening after i agreed the temp position. the temp position starts this monday, the permanent position starts a week and a a partially from now. My press is, if I turn the temp job down will they turn me into laying-off? I would only stipulation to collect one more week so I don't miss paying any of my bills and I dont see why i'd find turned in if Im with the sole purpose turning the job down due to another charge Im taking over the temp job. And No, i cant do the temp available job for a week and then start the contemporary one b/c i have situation for the new opportunity this upcoming week and a few other things to do for it as well.

I would turn the temp job down, not report to unemployment anything until you start work at your foreign job, and tender a sigh of relief that you found full time work. I don't believe the temp would bother to enlighten unemployment anything. It's adjectives sense to choose the better position.
What I can grasp from this is that you are currently unemployed. You have a job hold out which you accepted and afterwards turned down, you didn't start working there.
