As an employer, I prefer my staff communicate to me about anything is upsetting them rather than a moment ago quit. I have an unequivocal door policy about this caring of thing. I don't know what type of boss you hold but I would encourage you to have a word to him/her about the situation. Let them know how you touch and that you love your job and the company but be aware of devalued by the lack of a lift up in two years and especially very soon the states minimum wage has increased. Then I go to take a drug peak and fill out quality newspaper work and they asked for 10 years of work experience which I emailed to them. Well, they called today to run over it. They were alarmed at the number of job I had contained by college. I told them I put myself through law conservatory and college and I had to do doesn`t matter what I could to make ends run into and keep up beside school which included alot of short possession jobs, ect. They said they be alarmed and wanted assurance that I would be committed to the mission. They also asked for a list of employer reference. So I sent them 5 references from my most recent positions. I told them I am commited to the position and I dont see it as a stepping stone or anything.
Anyways, I am just concerned that they are going to renig thier bestow. Its not a contracted position, so they can do whatever they want. But I enjoy turned down other offers!

After some personal problems where EAP be involved, I was finally agree to go for excessive absence. About 4 years after the incident, I attempted to reapply with a suggestion from the company's TOP PRODUCER. They would still not hire me because my file tabled me as "ineligible for rehire". I was within a management/leadership position, had of late been promoted and never put anybody at work within any kind of trouble...it was simply an attendance issue. Is it court for them to label my folder "not eligible for rehire"?

Since it's tabled at the company that fired you, it's legal. Maybe a suit could come from not goign into detail on means of access you were fired, or ruining your rep.
It doesn't situation whether it is legal or not. You are asking a company who you used to work for and be terminated for excessive absences to check hiring you years later. There is nil that anyone can do to make them even consider re-hiring you. That is their choice. It's nice that their top producer is ready to recommend you but, again, it is up to them.

Of course it's lawful. Why the hell wouldn't it be? Any company can hire or not hire as they choose.

My guess is that employer figure that if the court say you've been a upright enough boy, and adequate time has passed for them to tender your rights back afterwards it's good ample for them.

As someone else noted - you can do a lot of different arenas within business - marketing, HR, logistics, etc - it depends on what you specialized in and what you close to. (Acct/Finance does seem to be a bit more decrease - you kind of have need of to specialize if you want to do that.)

That's crap. Go to the funeral even if they say no. Most of America is an "at will" employment. Meaning they can fire you for no motivation anytime and you can quit for no reason anytime. So, they are gonna do what they want to do no thing what you say or consider.
Ultimately they cannot prevent you from going to the funeral. However, depending on their written policies, they can refuse to remuneration you and even threaten to fire you, but usually such actions are exchangeable if the employee is surrounded by good standing near the employer.
In some states its against the law for them to hold it against you. Call a attorney, they'll proabbly give the information up front,and later just suspend up before they want to trademark somethign of it.
No one can stop you from going to a funeral. I think you worded the cross-question wrong here.
This is strictly an employee tourist information issue here and if they don't have a tourist information, then they must follow olden precedent.
