Ups And Downs Of Working As A Massage Therapist?

Question:
I'm considering getting certified as a massage shrink as one alternative to my present job, which is at a limp end. But I read somewhere that around half of certified manipulate therapists own a second job to symmetry out their income, and most "burn-out" and quit the profession in smaller amount than three years, even when they're able to engender a steady income full-time.

Anyone currently working in this area have any proposal about the pros and cons? I don't want to put contained by the time and expense now, singular to find out later that I've made a huge mistake.

Answers:
The drawbacks: (1) within major market, there is profusely of competition, resulting in increased costs such as media hype; (2) only the best therapist make fitting incomes and are self-supporting; (3) within is a lot of wear and opening on arms/hands; and (4) the sex issue raises its person in charge from time to time, even when the massage consultant is legitimate.

The appropriate points: (1) flexible hours; (2) a personable skilled masseuse can build up a clientele; (3) you can meet interesting associates (hopefully, not too "interesting" LOL); and (4) there is not closely of opportunity cost involved (e.g. the cost of a long educational program).

I'm not really sure but you might contact the embassy of the country your looking at. I do know that a lot of young-looking people look for work from Poland and Russia.
Sorry, you can't do it. There are no visas available for that generous of work. Only college educated professionals surrounded by careers similar to Information Technology, Nursing, Math Teachers, Respiratory Therapists, etc... are eligible for a work visa.

You could try using the Au pair program. But at hand are big limits as to the duties an Au two of a kind can do and the hours an Au pair can work. It's really not a nanny position, it's more of a companion type of point. Also, Au pairs are limited to one year surrounded by the United States. You'll need to use an agency that specializes surrounded by this program.

If I resign from my career, can i collect severance?

Question:

Answers:
No. Once you're unemployment is denied you do hold the right to an appeal. After you fill out the paperwork explaining your extenuating cicumstances as to why you resigned your position you will receive a phone telephone from a mediator who will prolli want to travel into extensive detail as to why you resigned your employment. If that person feel that your circumstances do merit a hearing afterwards you will then be sent a epistle with a date and time as to when you will join with a intermediary. Be prepared as your ex employer will be there as okay and you both will sit with the agent and discuss the case. Once you are done near you then own to sit back and lurk because it can take a couple of weeks to a couple of months until that time the mediator make a decision. If you are found to own resigned without of late cause next you will have lost your baggage and at that point you can give up trying or wallet another appeal.
No
Probably not. Most states require that your employment be terminated by your employer for reasons beyond your control until that time you qualify for unemployment compensation.
Generally no. But in attendance can be exceptions depending on why you resigned. Go ahead and file for dismissal, but realize that it will probably be turned down.
No, you have to be terminated! You can not seize unemployment if you quit on your own will.

Even though I hold seen those do it before, but it is against the tenet.
Only under terribly rare circumstances (sexual annoyance, etc), and it will most likely finishing up in the courts up to that time you collect because you will have to prove your claims.

Unfortunately, even a entity who's spouse is transferred and has to quit their career to move because of that is not competent to collect unemployment (at lowest possible not around here).
Check with your state trellis site to see if you can or not. Most states will either deny benefits or withhold benefits for a absolute amount of time.
Not very promising
It depends where you are from, i know contained by New Zealand where i am from u can collect it after 12 weeks i have a sneaking suspicion that it is but u can also get some comfort from the goverment. It is not just a straight no answer and not a yes eaither, the best piece to do it to go the goverment or if it is call something in New Zeland it is call WINZ ( Work and Income New Zealand) and ask them how they can help you untill you draw from another job. If ur commission has a honest enough justification to leave consequently they will most likely allow you to hold some type of a benifit even if it is a lil bit of money to help you live. Ask who you can and see what they read aloud before you drop ur post it will be eaiser to make a descion if you know what you are entitiled to.
Have also only been reading on www.workandincome.co.nz an it does state that if u will your job beside a good apology u can get it but may hold to wait longer to grasp it normally it is 2-3 weeks for benifits to start but yes it could be longer... GOOD LUCK Missyp

Does anybody know what a paralegal duties are?

Question:
I heard that they get hold of pay generous. Thinking of taking an online course. Any suggestions please thanks.

Answers:
The opportunity for a paralegal really depends on the specialty. The most in emergency paralegals are those in the litigation corral; followed by corporate paralegals who are responsible for maintaining corporate chronicles, articles of incorporation, etc. While the "least" markeable [but the "highest" paid] paralegals are in the paddock of intellectual property [i.e., patents, trademarks] and immigration regulation. In conclusion, choose your paralegal courses accordingly, next to emphasis on litigation preparation [discovery], docketing/calendaring of incoming pleadings [calendaring] and trial preparation [creating Exhibit tab, Bajii jury instructions, etc.]. The "pro" side of a litigation paralegal is often "unlimited" overtime which can amount to a big salary scale of $65,000 to $75,000 per year, while the "downside," being constantly pressured to assemble a monthly client billable quota. And failing to meet that quota, commonly results in the paralegal's overnight dismissal. It's not a pretty picture. I a short time ago want to lay out what really happens within the real world of litigators and their relationship beside subordinate paralegals.

Good luck!
Paralegals are generally resembling an assistant to the attorney. Different law firms will enjoy different duties to suit their own particular requests, but in broad, paralegals may type pleadings, assist with research, locate witnesses, assemble legalized files, track billable hours, etc. Basically, whatever desires to be done in the course of the time at a law firm, next to the exception of actually practicing statute (i.e., giving legal counsel and/or representing another party contained by court for compensation).

Hope this helps.

I have a BSc scope in engineering (mechanical) but would approaching to acquire further skills toward working as a programmer in the IT industry.

I've be accepted into a Computer Science program at a university and they will tolerate me start in 3rd year. My other remedy is to go to a controlled school, which also seem appealing and is much cheaper.

Job Security?

Question:
I have be at the law firm I work at for 17 months in a minute. I work there as a paralegal for the senior partner. I am also the financial executive for the office, which is why I own this problem - I know first-hand that the firm is going broke. I don't know how much longer they can afford to keep paying me...
I really love my employment, the people I work next to, and my boss - I don't want to work anywhere else, but payday is Wednesday, and I might not get any money.

There is also the possibility that they can accumulate this, but I don't see how. I just don't want to quit if I don't own to.

What would you do? What should I do?

Answers:
If you really love the firm and your position, start looking for ways to supplement your income so that you don't have to depend on your income from the firm. I used to be a corporate paralegal and I know what you anticipate. There is no job surety for anyone in this world, a home-based business where on earth you create your own hours and what you put in is what you gross is the way to run probably.

Be strong, you'll find a way.

~sas
Relax. The money to run a canon firm depends on the pay out surrounded by case files already within place and just waiting for resolution.
Since you are different to the place, you have no acquaintance of where they are , and where on earth the money is coming from.
The banks can other give them a row of credit for operating capital for department expense. They can run in the red for a term of time.

Should I reiterate my position contained by a available job the year previously the company make an proposal to a contender?

Question:
I interviewed with a company one week ago today (Wednesday). I really enjoy the interview, thought I did very ably and want this job.

The subsequent day (Thursday) I spoke near the company president on the phone and he talked roughly speaking compensation, benefits, etc. He also said that the members would get together Wednesday (today) and extend an offer to a aspirant tomorrow (Thursday).

I told him I was enormously interested. He also said if I had any question to write him anytime.

His secretary called me two days ago (Tuesday) and repeated what I already know - that the members would join on Wednesday and extend an offer on Thursday. She also said she's calling because other candidate indicated they have other offer and wanted to know when a judgment is made. Even though I have another give I didn't tell her.

The member are supposed to meet this afternoon. Should I do anything by asking them question or writing them by reiterating my interest before they cause a decision?

Thanks

/

Call or email and reiterate your interest. BE BRIEF.

Give a couple of bullets points explaining why you're the best contestant. Ask if they have any question. Thank him/her for their time. Say you're looking forward to moving forward.

BE BRIEF and enthusiastic.
i would shoot an e-mail thanking them for the opportunity and the interview.
I would emphatically reiterate your interest in the position. They may remember adjectives the candidates, but it never hurts to put a refresher out.

What to do ? I be looking to exit my duty, so I interviewed for another.?

Question:
I just get offered the position, and out of nowhere my boss offers me a lift to move a worse position in like peas in a pod company.. Do I suffer for the $$ or do I move on to a tentative company ?? HELP

Answers:
Have fun at the new situation! What happens when folks stay for more money where on earth they are unhappy? They usually move in almost 6-months because the money is no longer enough to hold on to them there. Remember: Money is a retainer, not a motivator. Go elsewhere and dont look final! Hope this helps.
Take the topical position. If you're already unhappy, getting a promotion for like company won't make you elated either.
Only U can sort a decision close to that. This will hurt your health status if you are not positive. Think about the situation.
I agree steal the job, you'll probably be happier within.
Evaluate both opportunities. Are here things in your present company that take home it worthwhile (other than the money)? Are there opportunity to advance or are the nation really good or things close to that. Compare the second opportunity. What do you know about duplicate features in the second company? If it have better features you might want to go next to them, even if you are not making as much money.
Move on, There is obviously something at your current brief that is making you want to set out. If you take the incline and move to the worse job next you will have another principle to leave. Sooner or following you will leave your current career. so just stir now and start building seniority at your alien job.
Did you vote "more $$$ and a worse position" at the same company? If you already know it is a impossible position then no amount of money will craft you glad that you stayed with like peas in a pod company.

Take the new work with a different company.

Crazy cross-question but is a resignation alike piece as a 2 week discern next to a fancy cross?

Question:
I thought that you gave a memo of resignation when you leave a opening right away. A two week notice is describing the job you are disappearing in two weeks.

Are they indistinguishable? or different?

For instance if I got a errand that wanted me to start two weeks from today, but I considered necessary to leave the company sooner than two weeks, which communication would I use?

How about if the chore asked me to start Monday, what letter shoudl I use?

Answers:
Pretty much,... except that a resignation can also make out a 'walking out the door right now' exit.

Resignation can also include that painful substitute the company can give when you enjoy scr*wed up and it is that or be fired.

but two weeks notice' is pretty cut and dry. In 10 more working days you are gone.

.As far as leaving... it depends on your opening and your ethics. Some job require a 'hand off' or the company will take a hit near the loss of your knowledge and experience.

I would stir talk to your boss, find out what sort of perceive they can live with... and THEN write the formal reminder.

congratulations and good luck near your new undertaking..

.
Resignation is saying you are disappearing. 2 weeks notice is aphorism when you are leaving.

Type a dispatch of resignation and state when your last daytime will be.

Should I recount my boss that I'm looking for another post?

Question:
I work in a moderately stressfull atmosphere, and would resembling to find something a little less stressful, beside benifits, and fewer work hours. because I am intuition the effects of burn out. I have expressed to my boss, who is also the owner, that I do not close to my 6 day work week, but he wishes a manager who will work 6 days. I am actively looking, but I don't want him to acquire angry or replace me right away if I cannot find something. Any Ideas?

Answers:
My advice is do not transmit him. As soon as you tell your boss you are looking for another position, your career next to this employer is over. Your boss might begin to look for another hand and fire you.

I understand that perchance you do not care if your employer know that you are unhappy, what if it take a long time to find a different job? I take to mean that maybe you want your boss to know you are dismal so he will back bad, this is a very lofty risk move.

I would not say a word in the region of job hunting. Just impart your two weeks notice when you vacate.
dont tell him, but do dispense him 2 weeks notice beforehand you start your new available job
yes but give him at smallest two weeks notice and try appling online and find one in the past you tell him
Yeah, I've get an idea - don't share him until you find something. You have no duty to tell him within advance (I notably doubt he'd tell you he be going to fire you) and as you sorta say - No devout can come from it (probably), but it may very all right bring on problems.

I'd absolutely suggest you grant him 2 weeks notice when you do find something and be nice almost it, but there is no explanation for you to tell him you are looking.
don't give an account him first look for a job
You're really out of what's vanished of your mind due to the stress. Don't tell. Just review the company policy as to what desires to be done when resigning and review the contract you signed when you got hired.
Don't report him until you have an contribute from another company. Often, in small companies, they will agree to you go if they find out you are looking. It's lately the way it is (It happen in big companies too, but small ones it seem to be the norm)

Then, do give him two weeks - sounds approaching he'll need it to find someone!

Best of luck!
Never share your boss you are looking. He may fire you right on the spot if he thinks you are trying to find a chore with a competitor. Don't inform him anything until you have found and permitted another job.
No.

You don't enjoy to tell your boss that you're looking for a undertaking (what if you don't find 1 and u have to stay!?)

This is what you do: when you've found one and you're primed to leave, provide your employer at least 2 weeks observe that you're leaving.

You could be counsel for an structure, then branch bad and start your own, you could be an associate at a firm, then move up to partner basically like any other legal representative. There are always opportunity if you look, but most importantly you have to be flexible, are you going to be contained by environmental defense? or do you want to work for a pro-environment organization.
