Will a unpromising second interview disqualify you from the position?
Question:
I had a great first indication and interview with two population in upper supervision. I felt vastly cofident that I will get a beckon back. Two weeks following, I got a bid back to address with the president of the company for a second interview. The president told me that those two general public highly recommend for this position. The problem be I felt that I be intimidated and nervous interviewing next to the president of the company. there be answers in which I mumble and stumble on. The question were different from my first interview but I only just lost my train of thought. I was wondering will the president net the decision on his own or will he also consider the two populace who highly recommended me?
Answers:
It really depends on the position and how closely you will be working near the president of the company. If you are working with one of the manager, and they want you, he may give them the decree. If you are working with the president and he be not comfortable, I would say phone and follow-up. You can still salvage it. I would call and follow-up near one of the first people and apologize for botching it. Explain that you be extremely nervous and more than for a while in awe of crowd "the man".
Good luck
don't worry. I am sure you did fine, I other find that the interview you feel you did the worst on, are the ones you environment the job :-)

Modeling Scam?
Question:
I was asked to model for Barbizon Modeling Agency and asked to reward an amount for training. Is this a scam or an opportunity?
Answers:
It's a SCHOOL not an agency!!
Scam. If you have watch ANY of the talk shows on modeling agencies, they adjectives say that a true, modeling agency will payment for everything, your photos, your training, everything.
If they ask you to pay money, they are selling you something.. not selling you.
If you are interested contained by modeling, why don't you just move about to Ford or Elite for an interview? Do you realize that they will see ANYONE off the street and you don't want a portfolio?
Barbizon is actually a valid modeling agency. It's the classes where they coach you modeling etiquette that they charge for. Don't be scared, theres zilch to worry just about with them, I know like mad of people who go through Barbizon and are successful now. =]
Barbizon Modeling Agency is truly a very accurate place to learn how to be a model. They serve you land a commission after your schooling. Teach you how to properly walk the runway, do your fleece and face up. So oodles things they do for you. I'd say shift to the school! You'll cram a lot!
In my feelings if you have to earnings for them to represent you then you should try somewhere else. Not dictum anything is wrong with the place merely look around don't settle check out different agency and see what each have to offer and gross a decision. There are other agencies where on earth you don't have to retribution and still get a opportunity. Get more information on them and brand name sure they are legit and if they are just be in motion with what you surmise is best just enjoy a back up agency only in casing
Would you still rush stern to work if there's not much to do?
Question:
If you work by yourself, your boss is not around (assuming he trusts you a lot), work has be getting slow - would you take longer lunch break or would you only just take one hour and rush put a bet on to work but probably sit there and do nought?
But if your boss's family unexpectedly come by (without a phone call) and knowing that you've been gone for long time for lunch, would you touch guilty about it? Or would you right to be heard "So What as long as I do my work perfectly"?
Answers:
I totally understand your situation since there's no point to rush spinal column to work if you already know that you will be just sitting in attendance. But I think responsibility is somewhat earth-shattering as well, your boss might expect you to sit within all the time even if there's nil to do. I don't know, it really depends on what kind person your boss is. Or he/she might just doesn't exactness like you said, as long as you acquire your job done next he/she will be fine with it.
About the guiltiness, if you know you are not doing anything wrong, next you shouldn't be feeling guilty in the region of taking longer lunch. Plus, they didn't even call you and consent to you know that they are coming, it's their problem not yours. What if you are sick on that day or something urgent hold to go home untimely? You still have your right to do anything you want since I assum your boss trusts you alot?? So to conclude your interrogate, I guess I will be walking tall and do everything the best so you won't surface guilty about anything. Just believe anything you do is not something wrong, then you will be fine. Huh, also, I wanna include that since your boss is not around all the time, I guess he/she already assumed that he puts the in one piece company and decision making within your hands - so you are the outcome maker! So probably he/she already know that he/she can't complain give or take a few anything since your boss leave the total company on your shoulders - baby you are the boss! =) Good luck!
If in attendance is not that much to do, I would not rush back to work. In certainty, I would pretend that I am working. I am wasting company's time if I take longer lunch breaks consequently usual.
I would take a one hour break, so that I could return and capture paid to do nought...just within case anything come up.
Depends on where I worked, I guess. If stuff happen to 'pop up' a lot that required timely handling, I'd probably be surrounded by the office to deal with it as it occurred. If unselective things rarely happen - or response time wasn't a critical issue, I'd probably take longer lunches and/or start doing the errands I typically leave until after work. Life is too short to sit surrounded by your office individual bored enough to shift spend time at RunEye.com or something...
hey wait a minute!
Might appropriate a bit longer on lunch, but knowing that there's always Murphy's directive, that is, the time you take 2 hours for lunch someone will find out, I probably wouldn't rob more than an extra 10-15 minutes.
I'd tell them how still it is, but probably still feel a short time concerned that they busted me. Not that you should feel guilty really, but if you do, it medium you're a conscientious worker.
You can always find ways to keep busy yourself when there's nothing to do at work, depends on the mission, but it's a chance to receive creative, maybe write some parcels, take time to guess about something you've be trying to sort out for a while.
Or answer some questions, similar to I'm doing now when I could probably be working.
dont verbs. work or no work you are trusted to be there. Jobs are firm to come by in this discount. you are eaisly replacebale if you don't want to be there.
Does the uk hold specific lawful branch within the emplyment directive stating i own the right to dull working hours?
Question:
Answers:
You'll be aware there is no specific court section surrounded by employment law stating everyone have the right to 'reduce working hours', which is amusingly optimistic.
You obligation to know if you are an "employee", "worker" or an "independent contractor" before any one can determine your employment directive rights and the scope of employment decree for you.
IF YOU ARE IN A CONTRACT OF EMPLOYMENT:
If you are employed under a contract of employment as an hand, then within are two options:
1 .YOU MAY FIT THE STATUTORY CONDITIONS GRANTING RIGHT TO FLEXIBLE WORKING:
The confusing provisions governing "flexible working" may relief you if you fit certain criterion, including have been within continuous employment for 26 weeks.
Read the following page slowly:
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/employment/e...
I highlight a clause from the Government's website:
'Anyone can ask their employer for flexible work arrangements, but the government have introduced a statutory right in demand to encourage applications. Provided you are an member of staff (but not an agency worker or in the armed forces) and own worked for your employer for 26 weeks continuously before applying, you hold the statutory right to ask if you:
1. have a child below six or a disabled child under 18
2. are responsible for the child as a parent/guardian/foster parent, and
3. are applying to exactness for the child
2. OTHER OPTIONS IF YOU DO NOT FIT THE ABOVE CRITERIA:
If you do not fit the above criteria but you are in a contract of employment, your other route, then, is to try to agree money off of working hours with your employer.
If not, consequently you can give observe of resignation and leave the undertaking.
IF YOU ARE NOT IN A CONTRACT OF EMPLOYMENT, AND ARE A WORKER (E.G. AGENCY WORKER) OR YOU ARE A SELF EMPLOYED CONTRACTOR (E.G. INDEPENDNT CONTRACTOR)
Then you do not have the right to invoke flexible working.
But even if you don't own the statutory right to ask for flexible working, your employer may still offer it because they recognise the helpfulness of keeping good workers.
So within conclusion your first task is to read:
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/employment/e...
If required, you should keep the following for hint:
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/employment/e...
(To determine whether you are an employee or a worker or an independent contractor)
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/diol1/employ...
(The flexible working page on the government's website)
There are stipulations that employer must consider requests for reduction/re-allocation of working hours for people beside children below a certain age (5 I think)
Other than that I don't know of any directive that states you have that right.
you employer must consider the request but does not own to agree it . he must give a plea , but this can be simply buisness needs
The Employment Rights Act 1996 give a statutory right to ask your employer to reduce working hours provided you collect 1 of the qualifying conditions e.g. humanitarian for a child under 5 (18 if child is disabled) however, your employer with the sole purpose needs to consider it and provided he/she have a genuine principle they do not need to agree to the request. Contact ACAS who will advocate you on your position
No only if you hold a child under five and even consequently your employer has to listen but does not enjoy to grant it. It may not be viable for your employer. The foundation for not granting can be that simple. Have you asked?

If you have the choice to love your work and cause no money, or antipathy your work and manufacture a ton of money?
Question:
which would you choose? And why?
Answers:
Definitely would choose loving my work. What good is money if you're miserable most of the time?
If I didn't have to breed money, then I would do a employment I love. If I had to survive on what I made, later I would work a job I despicable for the money.
I LOVEEEEEEEEEE my job but Id to some extent hate it and roll surrounded by the dough
none, i get rewarded to play or do nothing!!
love my brief and make ess money, for the reality is tht i would rather love vivacity then drad it, moneys walk but i cant buy happiness.
The first one is a hobby, my friend.
Reality dictates some money MUST be made.
Love my work and trade name little money.
I rather be contented then rich!
I would love my work and form no money why work somewhere you are not happy you will not succeed within your career
Love your work and manufacture no money.
I hate my work and engineer good money in a minute.
love your work
you wont die of heart attack at 44
and live with ulcer and headaches adjectives the time
. and you will be happy
i would choose love your work and label no money because what good is a livelihood if you dont like it? your bound to be miserable and if your miserable whats the point surrounded by making good money if you dont be aware of good in the order of it.
I'd choose to love my work and earn no money coz if I hated my situation and earned tonnes of money, I'd not be working much and holidaying. I disgust my job, time is dragging, wake up is a pain, everyday is a blue light of day. What point is there to work? But I'll hold a ton of money.
I would take the employment with a ton of money. You dont hold to like your chore. Not many individuals do... its work..not funtime! Everyone works for the same grounds anyway right? To make a living! I would whip a ton of money over pleasure at work! Also, if you go to university for what you want to do then you can fashion a lot of money and do what you similar to!
Depends on your need for money. If you inevitability it, then you own no choice. If you don't then doing something you love is better.
First, I would hold the well paying position until i'm happy near the amount of money i have. Then, I would bring the enjoyable assignment
Well the hate my work and cause a ton of money. It's hard to find a available job you find yourself loving these days and I'm not a picky man but if your making a ton of money okay the job wouldn't business too much because you wouldn't be working it too long before you currency out and quit ;).
i probably choose not to make like mad of money...because then i will hold another reason to be joyous... going to work to a place you hate make you life incredibly stressful and hate it more and more everyday...later you have the reaction that work is a nightmare.
ton
i would work the job i detest for 5 years and become financially free then i would work at doesn`t matter what i wanted for the rest of my time
One spends the better part of ones life span in the workplace.
You used "hate". If so, no amount of money will be paid one happy if one "hates" ones work.
Work should be an nice experience to some extent.
Well, you do need some money to live, although not nearly as much as some race think. There is plentifully to be said for the simple life where on earth you are not always concerned nearly wearing the latest fashion or having the most recent "in" gadget.
I have have jobs where on earth I made good money, but despicable getting up in the morning because I didn't want to travel to work; and, while at work, I had my eye on the clock, basically waiting until I could go home. I lived for the weekends; but, i.e. no way to live.
Now I brand name a great deal smaller number money, but I like my duty and life is a undamaged lot more pleasant.
I made a choice; and, would make matching choice again.
You need the money to survive unless you already enjoy lots of money.
I think most everyone have this choice.
you could sell your body even contained by the most remote places on earth and label lots of money. Obviously lots of money in the sticks is not what's lots of money contained by London but it's still lots of money COMPARED to what other people that live surrounded by the sticks make, yes??
and if you are prepared to work for subsequent to no wage then you can choose to do almost what you want.
This be my trick actually. Go and work for nil (offer to make their coffee) later when you have academic the job and relatives there know and trust you you can ask for a wage.
What sort of work can one pursue near these three majors adjectives together:?
Question:
U.S hISTORY, PSYCHOLOGY, ART.
Answers:
My first thought was, why are you out of order in a museum. Writing would not be out of the cross-question either. However, at hand is a lot of work for anyone near a Liberal Arts degree. Most enjoy nothing to do next to your majors, so you may not be happy doing the work but it will compensate the bills. Try talking to some professors from the university. I remember a chart surrounded by the history dept. from my college and it had profoundly of options scheduled. One last article. Keep an open mind on where on earth you live. The job of your dreams is not usually surrounded by your backyard.

Can a being be qualified to be an entrepreneur, or is it something organic inside some, but not others?
Question:
Answers:
Yes, entrepreneurship can be taught. But as expected there are inhabitants who have a instinctive inclination for it. The Chinese train their children in business at an untimely age. I think Jews do alike thing. That's why the Chinese and Jews are obedient business people.
Peace and blessings!
Yea, you can cram - Robert Kyosaki's Rich Dad series and CashFlow game is a great tool for the entrepreneurialy clueless!
Good luck, and convey me some green when you make your first treaty $$
probably a little of both. Go for it if that's what you want to do. Find out what you entail to do.
With education and experience you gain the much needed confidence to become an entrepreneuer. You hold to be willing to embezzle big risks, and know what your doing to become successful in the business that you are persuing.
I consider some people may simply have what it take.charisma is a must to become very successful...and some relations just don't own that!
the short answer would be 20% nature, 70% commitment, and 10% luck
most of life's skills can be knowledgeable. I'm convinced that the ones associated with entrepreneuring can too.
that said ... what can't be glibly changed is who you are and what you like to do. You'll other be more comfortable and effective doing what you approaching or even love doing.
nearly everyone can put up with doing things they dislike IF they know the time they'll hold to do 'em is limited and constant. Outside limit seem to be about 5 years. [Salarymen contained by Japanese corportations rotate through many types of mgmt job on usually 3 year cycles -- so if they dislike accounting (for example) they know they'll only do it for three years and next on to something else -- really helps them capture through it.]
Now that I've set you up ... the number one job of every entrepreneur is selling. You enjoy to sell product. you enjoy to sell your hallucination to add inhabitants. you have to supply your capabilities to grow your company. within fact, every ceo spends lots of time selling, selling, and selling -- they're alway pitching something to someone.
so one rash step to being an entrepreneur is to swot up to sell.
it doesn't thing if you dislike selling. or even if you dislike the product you are selling while learning. you entail to learn to vend.
fortunately, you can learn to supply in smaller number than five years, easily. and within are plenty of employers out in that who need salespeople and will train 'em their method of selling.
all you own to do is find one.

All you have to be is likely to learn from someone who is ready to show you. Find a company that does exactly that, like Ytb and you will live the benign of life that you enjoy always dreamed of!
What is the best Financial Advisor firm to work for? I hold my series 6 and 63.?
Question:
Answers:
With a series 6 and 63 combination, your options are restricted. You will need to acquire a 7 (at least) to work for the brokerage/"Big Wall Street" firms or Ameriprise. With your current license, you will find most success seeking employment next to insurance agencies that also sell annuities and unpredictable insurance products and maybe a few banks/credit union that don't offer full securities services, but do hold some proprietary mutual funds and insurance. In any case, you will feasible have to acquire the time insurance licenses at a minimum, but these insurance license are much easier to get (usually a few days' class, resembling a weekend or 3 day seminar) within comparison to the series 7 which is considerably more advanced than a series 6. In any case, if you are looking for employment, I recommend contacting the insurance companies.
As an investment company representative/sales associate/etc. (they will own various titles for deeply what is a person who sell insurance, mutual funds, and annuities is called), you will want to work for someone who offers a payout system that give you a jump on your first year commissions/earnings and a take-home pay base. You also want a company that have a well branded name and aggressive and impressive marketing. As a new professional, you will have need of to generate a client base and adjectives that you will have is your triumphant smile and your business card with the company's moniker and reputation behind you. Actually, the company baptize is in front of you, as this will be what give you credibility in the establishment.
The leading insurance companies ebb and flow widely in expressions of their compensation techniques, but the one point that they have surrounded by common is this--a describe you recognize. So, MetLife, Prudential, Hartford, NY Life, Northwestern Mutual, etc. are adjectives great places. The best package will also include assigning you existing accounts "to protract." That is, they will assign you existing policies that upon renewal become yours. If one of the major companies offer you (1) increased 1st-2nd year commission payout; (2) base pay (usually a draw); and (3) existing accounts to maintain, consequently you are likely contained by a good position and should consider accepting.
Meanwhile, consider getting the 7 if you want to work within a brokerage type firm, or adding property/casualty insurance if you want to work for an insurance company close to Allstate or State Farm that offers these products.
As far as working directly for a mutual fund company is concerned, while this is possible, it is a bit more of a long shot, or shall I voice nicely "competitive." The point is that most mutual fund companies sell to brokers/financial advisors and others who push for people. That is, the financial professional prepares a plan for or make a suggestion regarding mutual funds to the client. In other words, if you look on most mutual fund marketing webpages, they will read out that in command to invest, consult your financial advisor or something similar. So, I don't think this approach of contacting mutual fund companies is worth pursuing unless to be exact what you really want to do and you don't mind looking for that needle surrounded by a haystack.
In any case, the insurance companies will be EXCITED to see you, assuming you own the requisite educational criteria and can put on a correct shirt and tie and a great smile. Trust me on this one. Good luck on your new work.
There are so many. First Investor, Amerprise
I may not follow your question. But near a 6 and 63 you're going to work in Mutual Funds and Variable Annuities - the 63 is the blue sky exam and is not required contained by all positions. ... Look up Mutual Fund companies. There's deeply of them globally - but you're going to hold to determine what firms there are where on earth you live or if you are willing to relocate. It's nearly impossible to suggest what companies to apply at with no model if you live in an nouns where a given firm have offices or if you are prepared to relocate. For the most part firms are not going to money relocation costs for a Series 6 and 63 level recommendation. So if you apply, interview and get hired next to a firm that requires you relocate somewhere you'll likely carry most or all relocation costs.
Good luck.

I don't know if this will oblige...
I quit my job at 30 after working within Corporate America for eight years. It was a bold move for me since I be doing pretty well within my job. I basically lost my passion for it because I realize that I didn't want to climb up the corporate ladder (which I have to do at that point) and become a VP.
I took a year off, which help greatly. It helped me develop a perception of where I required to be at 40, 50, 60, and 70 years of age. I was competent to think, which is thoroughly hard when working 40-60 hours/week, going on for what makes me tick. It also skilled me that doing your hobby for a living is not the right solution, as we tend to think it is.
I am 33 immediately and am doing well. I grain like I enjoy a purpose in vivacity and really enjoy my employment. I probably would not have this perspective if I didn't help yourself to the time off.
I would suggest taking some sort of sabbatical (if financially possible). Get out of your environment and consider about what you want to spend the rest of your natural life doing. It's extremely difficult to do, but I think it's clearly worth the effort.
Good luck!
