Don't know where on earth you are from but I have some suggestion from Lincolnshire. Nothing wrong with mortal a taxi driver, but check out your nouns well - see how tons companies there are. The councils come across to take on more and more and MORE race for licences and don't support how many cars are operating. I am currently in the process of varying careers & am pretty lost as to what path I want to pilfer. I have be offered a position with The Ritz Carlton, which promises rapid promotion within the company. I hold also been offered a position next to a Metlife Insurance branch as an independent rep.
There are pros and cons to each assignment:
Ritz Carlton
Cons: Commute (60 Miles each way), Pay for Parking $12.00 a time, .50 paycut
Pros: Promotion Ability, Great Benefits, Travel Benefits (Room Discount), Good Company

Metlife
Cons: Questionable Upward Mobility?, Base Salary & Comission
Pros: Local, Flexibility (No Set Schedule)

I am just not sure which pavement I want to take and be hoping some people next to more knowledge of respectively industry could provide some insight!

Well the commute is something to consider- do you live in a place next to bad winter weather? Might be a huge headache to travel those 60 miles surrounded by snow and ice, even if you can spend the darkness in the hotel. Also this commute would munch through into your social life to the extent you might not own one :)
Another plus for both jobs, is that they are National Companies and could head to transfers in other parts of the country if you looked-for to relocate, so good luck.
To be honest both don't nouns good. If i be you I will stick with the work I alraedy have and look for something else except then transport job beside MEtlife
